    Summit EPA

Met up here with several friends after a long day at a conference. I knew it was my kind of place when I walked in. There is a full bar, seating, dining room type set up with high tables, flat screens and flags hanging from the ceiling, very bustling vibe. Also next to the bar is a small room with another bar, couches and table seating for possibly a private gathering or party. Upstairs is where we spent most of time. With the capacity seating of well over 50+ tables of 4, this was a good spot for our group. Outside is a large grassy roof top area with a large screen, to watch sporting events. There is a wide selection of beers here on tap. For food we ordered fish and chips, chicken wings, bangers & mash, scotch eggs, Shepard Pie. I enjoyed Minneapolis' own Summit EPA beer. For the size of our group, the service was really good.

Brits pub is a classic MPLS spot that I've been to multiple years ago. This time matched that experience and re-emphasized the value of the experience. They have a comfortable and lively atmosphere, good food (fish and chips and beef dip are among my favorites, and attentive service. FOOD: I enjoyed their chicken caesar this time which had great cheese, well seasoned blackened chicken, and a great dressing. AMBIANCE: I've now sat inside at the lower level, upper level, and outside -- all of which provide a similarly enjoyable and lively vibe which is neither too loud nor quiet.

This place does British pub fare well, in a large and comfortable space featuring a substantial indoor area downstairs and a very cool upstairs patio surrounding a lawn bowling green. I came here for a work event, so was able to sample a few appetizers along with my main. Everything was good, with the highlight being my Cornish pasty - not the kind of thing I want to eat on the regular, but a fun dish to have on occasion. Given that the food here isn't generally healthy (I mean, it's British pub fare), I was happy to be able to sub a generous portion of nicely steamed broccoli for my fries - especially since poutine had been one of our appetizers. The beer menu, which appears to rotate somewhat, had a few decent options, and the one I ordered was well tapped and served at a good temp.

I came by in a group of five on a Saturday afternoon. The indoor space was pretty crowded but the outdoor area was empty. We walked to the outdoor area and got to choose our own seats. It did start raining when we sat down but they had large umbrellas that we were allowed to use. Service was good and our server was nice. Food also came out in a reasonable time. I ordered the burger which was cooked well and had a tasty coleslaw on the side. I also tried some of my friend's Bangers and Mash. The mash, bangers and gravy were delicious and a great item. The only thing that was a bit lacking though were the peas which were not cooked fully and still a bit hard, they were also pretty bland. All in all, a nice option in the city with some good pub fare.

This is a nice British Pub in downtown Minneapolis. Conveniently located to the Hyatt, Sheraton and Doubletree hotels. Good food, cozy atmosphere and good service. We were in town for a conference and came in hoping they might be carrying the OSU-Grambling football game. They very graciously offered to put it on a tv in a small side room with four sofas in it. We were very appreciative of their hospitality. And the "chips" and cheese were excellent. Great way for a couple of Buckeyes to spend the afternoon.

Brit's pub is a super fun British pub in downtown Minneapolis with a huge indoor and outdoor space including a beautiful patio on the roof. The whole place is usually filled with soccer fans and most weekends or big games you can find the place packed with fans in jerseys rooting on their favorite teams. Trying to get a table during a major game can be difficult so get early if that's what you're there for. The staff are all so nice and very attentive which is really refreshing as pubs tend to lack in this aspect. On top of all of this, their foods actually really good and they have a wide selection of drinks on tap. My go to is the chips and curry which are so delicious and while watching a soccer game, really makes you feel like you're in London. The screens are all massive and the whole place is filled with them which makes watching the game easy even if you're too late to grab a food table. Highly recommend all soccer fans check this out!

Looking for a quick bite with a pint after a long work day and hello Brits. Plenty of seating both up and downstairs. Unfortunately it was way too cold to eat up at the outdoor deck. Everyone said to try the Shepards pie and I am sure glad I did. It's a lamb and beef combo with a gravy like texture that was killer. Those mashed potatoes on top were just right. All in all, definitely a spot to bring a group and watch a game or just hangout!

Brit's Pub saved the day when other restaurants were unable to accommodate our group. We visited here multiple times during our short stay times just because service was superb, the food was good and came out quickly, and everything was priced really affordable. I loved that the menu items took me back to London! PS: You've got to try the desserts!

Used to be great. New management is terrible. Rude. No longer a proper soccer bar. What a disappointment it used to be great.

The appetizers were flavorful, and overall, the food was satisfactory. My wife's fish and chips appeared to be made from pre-prepared ingredients and just heated, which is understandable. The interior has that classic vintage pub feel with lots of character and natural light. There are tons of booths and different seating areas that could accommodate parties of all sizes. I especially liked the glass dividers between some of the booths, which give you a little extra privacy without making the space feel closed off. My booth also had coat hooks and easy access to outlets, which I appreciated. I could definitely see myself coming here for a working lunch. My server was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially as I was trying to figure out how to use a couple of rewards I had on my account. I specifically came in wanting to try the fish and chips. Their lunch menu offers smaller portions of several dishes from the dinner menu, including a fish and chips option for around $15. I really wanted to try the walleye, though, so I ended up ordering the full dinner portion for around $28. The fish was absolutely the star of the plate. The breading was fantastic--crunchy around the edges while still light and fluffy--and the fish inside practically melted in my mouth. The tartar sauce was also really good and paired perfectly with it. The sides, unfortunately, didn't impress me nearly as much. There were plenty of fries, but they were pretty average, and the coleslaw was mostly cabbage with a light dressing. It felt like it was missing some acidity or lime to give it a little more personality. For almost $30, I also expected the meal to be a bit more substantial. I left satisfied, but found myself hungry again a couple of hours later, so I'm not sure the dinner portion felt worth the price for me. If you're mainly curious about their fish and chips, I'd probably recommend trying the smaller lunch portion first rather than committing to the more expensive dinner version. Would I come back? Absolutely--the atmosphere, service, and location alone make The Local worth another visit, and I noticed several other dishes on the menu I'd be interested in trying. I just don't know that I'd order this particular meal again. The fish itself was excellent, but for me, the sides and overall value didn't quite match it.
