We actually ended up here twice during our visit to Minneapolis. It has a good variety of options, quite a bit of seating both upstairs and downstairs, and is relatively quick. It does have British pub type food as advertised along with some other things. It does get busy and can be a bit loud but they have enough space that the tables are at least not on top of each other so that really helps with the noise level. I had the split peas because you just kind of have to have a true British thing at a place called Brit's pub and the cheese toasty. The toasty was really the winner here - to be somewhat expected, but wow, nice and crispy and cheesy! On our second visit I had the fish and chips which brought back memories of being in the UK. Visited here on a Sunday while Pride and the World Cup was going on. The Canada match hadn't started yet so the place wasn't too busy. When we entered at 12:30pm, the host told us that it was too late for breakfast since I was keen on some variation of a full English. Was surprised that they had stopped serving breakfast or brunch given the weekend. The menu still had a lot of variety although the prices were higher than expected. I thought it might have been a World Cup markup but checking the website today showed that they were consistent. Then again the website didn't show any breakfast options either so maybe they just don't serve breakfast. Ordered the fish and chips. The portions were large but should be given the $28 price. With the capacity seating of well over 50+ tables of 4, this was a good spot for our group. Outside is a large grassy roof top area with a large screen, to watch sporting events. There is a wide selection of beers here on tap. For food we ordered fish and chips, chicken wings, bangers & mash, scotch eggs, Shepard Pie. I enjoyed Minneapolis' own Summit EPA beer. I came by in a group of five on a Saturday afternoon. The indoor space was pretty crowded but the outdoor area was empty. We walked to the outdoor area and got to choose our own seats. It did start raining when we sat down but they had large umbrellas that we were allowed to use. Service was good and our server was nice. Food also came out in a reasonable time. I ordered the burger which was cooked well and had a tasty coleslaw on the side. I also tried some of my friend's Bangers and Mash. The mash, bangers and gravy were delicious and a great item. The only thing that was a bit lacking though were the peas which were not cooked fully and still a bit hard, they were also pretty bland. The whole place is usually filled with soccer fans and most weekends or big games you can find the place packed with fans in jerseys rooting on their favorite teams. Trying to get a table during a major game can be difficult so get early if that's what you're there for. The staff are all so nice and very attentive which is really refreshing as pubs tend to lack in this aspect. On top of all of this, their foods actually really good and they have a wide selection of drinks on tap. My go to is the chips and curry which are so delicious and while watching a soccer game, really makes you feel like you're in London. The screens are all massive and the whole place is filled with them which makes watching the game easy even if you're too late to grab a food table. The Vikings were playing early AM (from England) and we decided to watch here. I loved that the front area is well lit with sunlight entering from the big windows, and it doesn't feel all dark like most British pubs I've been to. They obviously had the game on all TVs and on the second room, they had soccer. They also have an upstairs area, so enough room to fit lots of fans. We stopped at Brit's Pub for a nightcap and dessert after a show at Orchestra Hall. The location was awesome - just across the street! Even though it was right after the show and a Saturday night, we were still able to get seated without a wait. That said, after being seated we waited a while before being served half-full glasses of water. We then waited another 10-15 minutes before our server came to take our drink orders. We planned to order a dessert, but 20 minutes after our drinks came and without another check in from our server, we decided against it. I'm glad we weren't planning on a real meal, we would have waited 40+ minutes just to order. While waiting so long, we had plenty of time to look at and read all the cool Beatles and other memorabilia on the walls. I haven't been to Brit's very often, so I'm not sure if this is a common experience or an anomaly. I'd be interested in trying it out again, but without any sort of time constraint, just in case! read more

Such a great experience. I had the tandoori chicken wrap during a very packed house and it was very tasty. It had curried chicken breast, arugula, feta, red onion, and a cucumber mint yogurt. It all came wrapped in a warm tandoori naan which I am a sucker for! The naan texture was on point and all the ingredients worked great with each other. Definitely giving pub with all the decorations and every game on. Would be the perfect spot on gameday. I ordered the Pimm's Cup and the Almond Crusted Walleye. Brit's is a nice little British Pub in the Nicolette neighborhood, that is a fun stop for a few drinks. The interior is decorated in lots of British imagery, including classic beer advertisements, the flags of the countries that were once colonies of Britain, and a huge wooden bar that looks like one you'd see in ye olde England in the early 1900s. Our server was great, and he joked around with us a little as we were trying to decide on our orders. They have a beer, wine, and cocktails menu that is quite extensive, so there is most likely something for everyone to try. I had the Summit EPA, which is an Extra Pale Ale. It was sort of similar to a red ale, like I had in Ireland - with a full body and heavier ABV (a little over 5%). One of these was enough for me, as I'm usually a light beer drinking girl, but they didn't have too many of those. We were only there for drinks, but they do have a full food menu that looked pretty tasty, so I will for sure be eating next time I'm there. With a lively atmosphere, Minnesotan/British Beer (as they had both), and great service, I'd definitely recommend popping in here and checking it out. read more

I sure hope that wasn't $5 worth of curry... nevertheless the fries were great and plentiful and my wife's wrap was huge and just as many if not more fries. I can't believe it took me this long to step foot inside Brit's! For as much as I know about it from lore, I was honestly still shocked to see how big it was! We only popped in for a quick beer/app situation so can't speak into too much detail about the food but everything we did order (chicken fingers and side of chips) was exactly what you would expect.
