Happy Amy is a wonderful waitress, always happy and efficient! Today I had the walleye sandwich with clam chowder . . . Pan fried walleye is the best! My companions had the half sandwich and soup special and the Chicken, Apple and Pear Salad, always reliable choices. Busy place, which tells you the food is good.

Have been to Hilltop twice now and had things I liked about it. The area really benefits from having a spot like this for dinner out without too much fuss or fancy, or having to go "into the city." It's a nice family friendly spot with definite regulars. The food is a little pricey for what it is IMO but I suppose they can get away with it in Edina. Food I've had: French onion soup: It's famous for a reason. So much goopy, drippy, delicious cheese and croutons from definitely real bread. This was great- and it seemed like maybe a chicken broth base? I appreciated that the base wasn't the usualy beefy super rich style. It would have been too overwhelming otherwise. Tuna melt: Satisfying, flavorful, plenty of tuna. Good bread. Pear chicken salad: This was great, good dressing, the chicken was cooked well Wings: Have had dry rub and Asian (wet)- very good. Reuben: This was weird. I'm a reuben afficiando. This Reuben had tons of sauerkraut (which I typically love) but only when the ratio is a little more balanced. The reuben I had was like 80% sauerkraut and VERY little meat. It was disappointing. I really wanted to love it because a reuben is one of my favorite foods. But would NOT order it again. Margarita: Skip. Too much sweet & sour. Too sweet overall. Tasted like a Minnesota suburb margarita. I typically like a refreshingly tart margarita, more tequila-forward, with fresh lime. This was not that. Carrot cake- delicious!!!

My husband and I visited on New Year's Day for breakfast. It was a bit busy but we were seated fast, Denise was a nice server. There's a big free parking lot attached to the building. They play trendy music but it is family friendly and they have good food. I ordered the mimosa, yogurt parfait and the toast. I loved the French toast!! Touch of sweetness with the right texture. We're already planning on visiting again to try the dinner menu.

This was my first time at The Hilltop. It was nice enough to sit out on the covered patio.! I had the walleye. It was delicious . My friend had the salmon. yummy!

The Hilltop is a neighborhood hot spot. It's great for groups, family-friendly, and a perfect choice for happy hour or meal before a night out. The service is great! Our server Laurie was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive, and efficient; exactly what you want when enjoying a meal at the end of a long day. The food here is tasty and fresh. While they have somewhat limited vegetarian options, the options that they do have are really good! I usually go for the Greek salad. It's really light and refreshing--zippy vinaigrette, chewy dolmas, and the usual suspects of tomato, cucumber, feta, and onion. If you're dessert-minded, you will be very happy. I tried the carrot cake and was most pleased. Highly recommend. One word of warning: this is a popular place, so it can get pretty loud. It's a great place if you want a lively evening, but it's not great for quiet conversation.

A great place for a quick bite and a good burger! They do have a lot of other fare but it's great that they have Guinness on tap! Service can be slow during peak hours, well because it's peak! Do reserve a table ahead of time otherwise it's a bit of a wait as this place is quite popular any day of the week (yes, I've tried it). Very casual, friendly people, and good food! What else can you ask for?!

The house made veggie burger was definitely delicious with a Super flavorful sauce and excellent toppings. Served nice and warm too! The patio area (yet indoors) felt festive and cozy on a freezing (literally) MN night. Hilltop is a gem and the city of Edina is lucky to be the home for Hilltop! It was worth the drive from Maple Grove! Heidi

We had an Amazing Ladies Night Out for Our Book Club, The Real Housewives Of Mpls. A few of us arrived early and our table was not ready. Manager Carrie greeted us with a smile and set us up at temp table until ours was ready. The Hostess (I can't recall her name) cute 17 yo, was sweet and friendly. We were a large group of 16 and our server Lily was Phenomenal!! The Atmosphere, Staff, Food and drinks, 5 out of 5 Stars!

Back to Pink Ivy. The service is quality. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived. The reservation policy may seem "strict", but if you can live with needing to provide a 24 cancel notice, I think you will find the service is good because the business doesn't get slammed by unexpected high demand. Wait person timing was off a tad when we first sat down. It felt a little rushed as we order our drinks and considered a starter. In fairness, a table of 16-20 followed us in so the wait person may have been doing us a favor. But it did influence my four star rating. Otherwise I'd have given 5 stars. Great care was taken when wait person checked for allergies. Not just asked, but noted and went to the kitchen to confirm. During the meal, flatware was changed out between courses, water refilled without disruption and the order arrived on time and all at one time. Our group enjoyed the halibut, salmon, and chicken bacon meatball items. Everyone loved their meals. A few of us ordered and split salads. We passed on desserts. The menu range may not be pages long, but all the usual suspects are there; salads, fish, poultry, beef, and pasta. And I know the chef rotates items on the menu. I encourage you to plan ahead. Reservations fill up days in advance. I think you'll find it worth the extra planning. PS my ratings are adjusted for the type of venue. These are not Michelin stars.

Service was cold and perfunctory. We sat at the bar on this Sunday evening in August, and the female server was decidedly corporate, casting humanity aside for a robotic affect, half listening and half uninterested. Fun was vacuumed out of the room. Colita was not designed for laughter and frivolity. The place was crowded, but this was a restrained crowd on a Sunday night. Colita was more Linden Hills than Kingfield, if you know what I mean. Our favorite dish was the carnitas tacos. They had the flavors of Mexico. Our check was Minneapolis high, usually worth it, but maybe not at Colita. It was our last night living in the lakes area before we move to the North Loop. Colita was a good choice to remind us why we're moving. However, it was the wrong choice for a celebratory evening.

Martina is an ace with its bold flavored Argentinian cuisine and relaxing atmosphere. We dined on the patio, but whether you are seated inside or out, the ambiance is adorned with green plants, natural wood, and clean lines for a modern aesthetic that pleases today's diner. The food was a pleasure. The secret to the bold flavors is in the sauce. We started with an order of the grilled bread and a dozen oysters. I'll never say no to raw oysters (even on some occasions when I should have), but these were a great experience. The vinegar sauce served with these was a unique version that when paired with a dash of the shredded horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice, the oysters were a punch of zingy perfection. The salted, vinegar infused butter that came with the bread elevated the dish. I chose the halibut for my entree and it was lovely (halibut is a win in any format). However, I would highly recommend the ribeye. My son got that and I sampled a piece with the accompanying chimichuri sauce and it was heavenly. The oils chosen to create that sauce were very well thought out so it made for not-your-typical ribeye and lent itself to something flavorfully unique. We want to return! Putting this on our list of faves when in Minneapolis/St Paul.
