I tried our Cov for their happy hour and had high expectations that weren't met! Their menu prices were great and I really enjoyed both of my cocktails. I was a bit disappointed in the cali roll - I bit into a piece of hard crab shell which put me off from the rest of the roll. I liked the cauliflower a lot but was surprised at how few pieces there were. It wasn't overly battered and had really good flavor and are worth trying out. The fries were solid and something I'd order again! I'd definitely give this another shot. I had really high expectations for quality and was just a little disappointed in a few of the dishes but really enjoyed others.
Great location, and usually takes 15-30 minutes to walk in, it's always busy. I like that the happy hour on weekends is 10am-4pm, the best thing is the guacamole on that menu. The food is okay, I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
Drew was very calm and courteous, giving guidance, although we always order the fantabulous guacamole with chunks of lobster! We did order the artichoke starter, but wouldn't recommend it. Very messy, with tiny reward of artichoke meat. Loved sitting on their shady and beautiful patio! We come back often.
Recommended to me by a local while I was traveling. Love the coastal vibes. Had some small bites, cup of clam chowder, crispy cauliflower and some asparagus. All very tasty, well seasoned. My server was attentive and kind. Wished I was feeling hungrier, there were a lot of great menu options available for main entrees!
Always have a great time at CōV. Service is great and food is well prepared to my liking. Love that they have three different menu options on the weekends so if you're ready for a party you can select from the happy hour menu, if just in the mood for brunch they have a truncated Sunday brunch menu or just in the mood for a relax lunch, they have the full menu. I love their truffle fries, crispy without losing the soft texture. Coffee could be stronger though. Otherwise, everything was great!
Plenty of parking because its within the galleria. No problems with the bathroom and the service was solid. A shame they reduced their happy hour window and also removed some items (e.g., honey smoked salmon). This place is quite busy and for some reason we still had to wait a bit even after having a reservation. Rolls are nothing spectacular but the buffalo shrimp was disappointing: $3 each and it's mostly just the breading. You certainly cough up some $ for the galleria ambiance. THey were also trying to promote mothers day brunch; absolutely bonkers pricing for adults and children
It's been many years since I've been to Cov, which I had such fond memories of but today missed the mark when I visited for dinner while on a work trip. The ambiance is still nice with low lighting and a bustling dining room (hard to comment otherwise as it was dark). The service was so-so. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt if service is slow but it wasn't just the speed, it was the attention to detail such as needing to ask for a drink menu then when presented with the menu, it was wet with soap bubbles on it. The food was a mixed bag; my ceaser salad with a side of chicken was underwhelming....for $27 I'd expect a better presentation. My friend got the ribeye which was very fatty and was as if they didn't season it at all. Other friend got the mussels which were delicious as were the truffle fries. Overall just not up to par for the price.
This restaurant has a way of making you feel like you are someplace really special. The atmosphere is beautiful, and I especially love their outdoor patio dining. Last week was the first time I've been there after work, and I was so happy my friend and I were able to try a few things from their happy hour menu. The, pineapple martini was strong and amazing. My favorite dish was the buffalo shrimp, which was four large shrimp cooked perfectly with a very light breading that popped in your mouth. I was especially happy that the buffalo sauce was on the side so she could have the sauce and I could have without. The truffle fries are a huge portion with lots of truffle oil and Parmesan. We also tried the hotdog and the cheeseburger sliders. Everything was hot and prepared fresh, and our server was super friendly and fun!
Cov Edina has potential to be a Galleria institution, but needs A LOT of fine tuning. Highlights of the experience: great patio, Laurent Perrier by the glass, good reserve wine list, and that's about it. Service was slow, uninformed, and lacking professionalism. Server's apron was filthy and the soy sauce container for the crispy rice was chipped, stained, and overall disgusting. Honestly, will not be returning, so many other fantastic places nearby that will provide excellent service and food for the same price.
I met up with some friends for happy hour, they've been telling me about the happy hour options at this restaurant. Great location and huge parking lot. No reservations necessary, but I didn't one anyway. The layout and decorations of the restaurant reminds me of beach theme/ocean them. We ordered some items from the happy hour menu and from the menu. Came home with alot of leftovers.
Came here over the 4th weekend for happy hour on Saturday. I've been here plenty of times but this time the food very disappointing. The calamari was the only thing that was good. The new drink 'island has spoken' tasted like straight up sun bum sunscreen. We got the Korean bbq wings and they were slimy- pretty hard to get down, the truffle fries were wet and soggy, and the mussels were just off. I typically love mussels. Just disappointing overall. The beer was good and my second drink, Killer Queen was good. Although the food was pretty terrible, our server was great and quick. Not many people so relatively quiet in the restaurant/bar area.
When at the Galleria, it's a great place for happy hour. It's a cute place - it felt like an ocean side beachy place. Super helpful wait staff. I ordered the mussels not realizing they had chorizo on them, which I won't eat as a pescatarian. They quickly subbed out with fish tacos for me, which were excellent. Tasty margarita as well!
Came here for a group dinner and had a great time. Place was big and roomy with plenty of seating for bigger parties. SERVICE: We were greeted with a smile and seated for our reservation right away. The server was very friendly and attentive. FOOD: We tried several items this evening and everything was tasty (sorry, forgot pictures of the food, but remembered the dessert). For dessert we tried the Sammi Cake, Key Lime Pie and the Carrot Cake. Definitely recommend the Carrot Cake! Oh, also tried their Old Fashioned. It was a little sweet (they add a port) but it was tasty! Great place for group events.
Restaurant has a nice vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. Weather was awesome for an October night and the doors were open for outside dining. I was with a large group and the staff did a great job of taking care of us. I ordered the large Pork Chop which was pretty good, would have liked it to be a little juicier, but it wasn't dry and had good flavor. The French Onion soup was the Soup Dijour and I am wishing I would have ordered the Clam Chowder instead. The soup was the only part of the meal and dinning experience I wouldn't recommend. read more

We visited for dinner on Labor Day and didn't have a reservation, but thankfully we were seated right away! I really loved the coastal inspired decor throughout the restaurant. It has a beautiful, dimly lit atmosphere that feels intimate without being too dark, and the music adds to the experience while still allowing you to comfortably have a conversation. Our service was amazing, thanks to Tommy! He was attentive, friendly, and really helped make our dinner enjoyable. We started with the truffle fries, which were nice and crispy and a great way to start the meal. I absolutely loved the Pink Lady cocktail, and the pan seared scallops were probably my favorite dish of the night. They were so buttery and flavorful, and I also really enjoyed the kale that came with them. The cowboy mac and cheese was another standout, so good! The baked potato was probably my least favorite. I felt like it could have been a little fluffier. The roasted vegetables were just okay, but my husband really enjoyed his roasted chicken. Another big plus was the convenient, free, and spacious parking lot, which made the whole experience even easier. Overall, we had a really enjoyable Labor Day dinner and would definitely come back to try more from the menu! read more

Their patio has a gimmicky beach theme with a great views of a concrete ocean full of cars driving next to you. I was feeling a salad and wanted something a little fancier than fast casual. Unfortunately Cov did not deliver and wish I would have gone to any of the actual salad restaurants nearby. The Caesar salad was a soggy plate of refrigerator burned baby greens with a couple pickled anchovies. I've never had a pickled anchovy and I don't think I want one again. It's like being excited to eat a dill pickle and getting a mouthful of bread and butter pickle. Other than the dressing this was not a Caesar salad. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. Which he liked, but it really didn't seem any better than a fast food chicken sandwich to me. To top it off he got food poisoning from it. read more
The atmosphere was a nice mix of classy but not overly formal, and service was very fast and friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the food, especially for the price. My lobster roll and the appetizers I tried weren't particularly flavorful. I didn't care for the berry crumble but the key lime pie and carrot cake were decent. read more
We went to the flower show at the Galleria but very quickly retreated to COV as it was crazy busy with people. Short wait, got us in, nice table. Drinks were very tasty - a non-alcoholic mule and some sort of tequila special that was both sweet and salty. We ordered lobster avocado toast and two fairly normal breakfast. Normal until you saw the portions. The hashbrowns were huge and done perfectly! Eggs and ham all good. The complimentary caramel roll was nice too. Considering how busy they were it was a really nice visit. read more

Absolutely the best restaurant in Edina, MN! 1- Great ambiance and music 2-Excellent cocktail paired with friendly service 3-Amazing food and a huge menu to choose from ... I cannot wait for my next trip to bring me here . read more
This is one of our go-to places for Sunday lunch after church. They have complementary Cinnamon Carmel buns and the food is great! A full bar, so you can have your Guinness (on tap), mimosa, or wine with your brunch. Good choices of desserts. The team does their best to hustle and give you the best service and it has a high-end casual feel to it. Kind of like the Cape Cod of Edina feel. It's worth a try and I hope you enjoy it! read more
We had a lovely happy hour at Cov. Decor is always elegant and classy, and their holiday presentation did not disappoint. We've had delicious dinners here in the past, so we tried their signature drinks and they were yummy. Service is always friendly and impeccable. My new fav cocktail is their COSMIC INTERVENTION. They had me at Kettle One vodka, but the glitter added some holiday fun. read more

The bad: prices. I realize it's galleria rent, large staff, inflation, beautifully decorated restaurant, etc. However $21 for the 6 bites of hot dogs in puff pastry app was actually humorous. Cov, you should take this off the menu, it is not a good look. If you severed 2 full sausages with the mustard and the fried onions that would have been fine. This dish looks like something a middle schooler made, and the value is terrible. Not so great: Overall Menu is pretty simple, safe, and nothing interesting. Can't tell what they are know for. Everything from Sushi rolls to burgers and pasta. Wife's fish was drowning in butter. Her sautéed spinach had garlic that wasn't cooked enough so it overpowered everything. They charged $3 to split the pasta dish our kids had. $42 pasta dish... I didn't like any of the side dished to go with my steak, so she said they could do Brussel sprouts like in the appetizer option. I didn't realize she was just going to add the $18 Brussels app. It was loaded in a sauce and bacon which some people might like, but it made it super unhealthy for just wanting a green side with a steak. The good: Service. She was great, helpful. I like how they clear the table. They got us a table right away with no reservations on a busy night. read more

Yum! Lobster roll was great! Really fun place to get together with friends. We had two servers and they were helpful as well. read more
I love coming to Cov! The food is flavorful and quality is consistently high. I had their steak and really enjoyed the flavor and texture. I subbed the broccolini for Mac and cheese (which is so creamy!). Service was quick and friendly during dinner (7pm). It was busy but we only 10 mins for a table. At 7 pm Friday the vibe felt like a fancy place to pregame for the night OR a nice dinner with friends. read more

On a sunny/breezy day in Edina, this is a perfect patio to enjoy a lobster roll and a cocktail. No wait for a later lunch on a Tues, we were promptly seated at our preferred spot under an umbrella on their patio. Server/staff were super friendly & attentive, food & drink came quickly, and the lobster roll/port tac old fashioned were the perfect complement to a lovely day. Nautical vibes and decor on the interior. Drinks on the pricey side, but when in Rome... See you again next time :) read more

The atmosphere at CōV reminds me so much of an East Coast restaurant by the beach. It's calm yet busy and believe it or not they specialize in seafood. I was totally sold when I heard this. What we got: Dungeness crab dip- I would recommend if you want something shareable for 3-4 ppl but if it's just you and a friend I would try the crab cakes. Seared Sea Scallops- the scallops were cooked perfectly but it was an okay dish for me because I'm not fond of orange flavor in my food. Crab & shrimp pasta- if you are in the mood for a fresh pasta dish with seafood this dish won't disappoint. It was so good especially if you have it on the patio. : ) read more
Such a cute atmosphere; has strong Charleston, SC vibes! The weekend happy hour is a great value; we tried a couple of the apps and that was enough for a lunch. I really liked the calamari. The crispy chicken sliders were not too thick, which I look for and the slaw served as a nice flavor and texture contrast. The fish tacos only had a tiny piece of fish, which was a let down and the Mac and cheese was very bland. However, the atmosphere is so nice, I can't wait to come back in the summer when they open up the large window panels and let the breeze in! read more
I really can't recommend Cov based in this first time visit. While the ambiance is impressive and matches the high end vibe of the establishment, the food was disappointing. I've had much better (and far more reasonably priced) calamari at lower end restaurants. Ours arrived basically lukewarm/barely lukewarm which absolutely did not help the taste factor. I was eating overly priced, overly greasy, limp calamari - I wanted to send this back to the kitchen but it was Friday night and the place was packed. I didn't want to come across as difficult. The lukewarm theme continued with my roasted root salad. I was so dismayed to see my main entree arrive in a similar temperature state as the appetizer. This was so unappealing and again, certainly not worth the price tag if my food arrives at the table feeling like it's been sitting under a heat lamp way too long that it's lost the freshness factor. My friend ordered a seafood pasta of sorts and it looked amazing but beyond that, I don't know if it arrived temperature hot. I didn't ask her - I was too under impressed by this point that it was like "whatever, I don't see myself coming back unless it's happy hour." Sorry to leave a bad review but if a restaurant can't deliver 2 dishes at the right temperature, that 's a big disappointment. read more
