Truffle fries

It's been many years since I've been to Cov, which I had such fond memories of but today missed the mark when I visited for dinner while on a work trip. The ambiance is still nice with low lighting and a bustling dining room (hard to comment otherwise as it was dark). The service was so-so. I like to give places the benefit of the doubt if service is slow but it wasn't just the speed, it was the attention to detail such as needing to ask for a drink menu then when presented with the menu, it was wet with soap bubbles on it. The food was a mixed bag; my ceaser salad with a side of chicken was underwhelming....for $27 I'd expect a better presentation. My friend got the ribeye which was very fatty and was as if they didn't season it at all. Other friend got the mussels which were delicious as were the truffle fries. Overall just not up to par for the price.

This restaurant has a way of making you feel like you are someplace really special. The atmosphere is beautiful, and I especially love their outdoor patio dining. Last week was the first time I've been there after work, and I was so happy my friend and I were able to try a few things from their happy hour menu. The, pineapple martini was strong and amazing. My favorite dish was the buffalo shrimp, which was four large shrimp cooked perfectly with a very light breading that popped in your mouth. I was especially happy that the buffalo sauce was on the side so she could have the sauce and I could have without. The truffle fries are a huge portion with lots of truffle oil and Parmesan. We also tried the hotdog and the cheeseburger sliders. Everything was hot and prepared fresh, and our server was super friendly and fun!

Sat at the bar for happy hour and watched March Madness on TV. Server Josie was most helpful and very personable and we enjoyed our buffalo wings, oysters and truffle fries. The wings made a mess, but they give you warm wet towels, thank goodness. They were delicious! Very pleasant vibes after an afternoon of shopping at Galleria. We try something new every time we go.

I met up with some friends for happy hour, they've been telling me about the happy hour options at this restaurant. Great location and huge parking lot. No reservations necessary, but I didn't one anyway. The layout and decorations of the restaurant reminds me of beach theme/ocean them. We ordered some items from the happy hour menu and from the menu. Came home with alot of leftovers.

Came here over the 4th weekend for happy hour on Saturday. I've been here plenty of times but this time the food very disappointing. The calamari was the only thing that was good. The new drink 'island has spoken' tasted like straight up sun bum sunscreen. We got the Korean bbq wings and they were slimy- pretty hard to get down, the truffle fries were wet and soggy, and the mussels were just off. I typically love mussels. Just disappointing overall. The beer was good and my second drink, Killer Queen was good. Although the food was pretty terrible, our server was great and quick. Not many people so relatively quiet in the restaurant/bar area.

When at the Galleria, it's a great place for happy hour. It's a cute place - it felt like an ocean side beachy place. Super helpful wait staff. I ordered the mussels not realizing they had chorizo on them, which I won't eat as a pescatarian. They quickly subbed out with fish tacos for me, which were excellent. Tasty margarita as well!

Came here for a group dinner and had a great time. Place was big and roomy with plenty of seating for bigger parties. SERVICE: We were greeted with a smile and seated for our reservation right away. The server was very friendly and attentive. FOOD: We tried several items this evening and everything was tasty (sorry, forgot pictures of the food, but remembered the dessert). For dessert we tried the Sammi Cake, Key Lime Pie and the Carrot Cake. Definitely recommend the Carrot Cake! Oh, also tried their Old Fashioned. It was a little sweet (they add a port) but it was tasty! Great place for group events.

Their patio has a gimmicky beach theme with a great views of a concrete ocean full of cars driving next to you. I was feeling a salad and wanted something a little fancier than fast casual. Unfortunately Cov did not deliver and wish I would have gone to any of the actual salad restaurants nearby. The Caesar salad was a soggy plate of refrigerator burned baby greens with a couple pickled anchovies. I've never had a pickled anchovy and I don't think I want one again. It's like being excited to eat a dill pickle and getting a mouthful of bread and butter pickle. Other than the dressing this was not a Caesar salad. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich. Which he liked, but it really didn't seem any better than a fast food chicken sandwich to me. To top it off he got food poisoning from it.

The atmosphere was a nice mix of classy but not overly formal, and service was very fast and friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed by the quality of the food, especially for the price. My lobster roll and the appetizers I tried weren't particularly flavorful. I didn't care for the berry crumble but the key lime pie and carrot cake were decent.

Some of the flower show

We went to the flower show at the Galleria but very quickly retreated to COV as it was crazy busy with people. Short wait, got us in, nice table. Drinks were very tasty - a non-alcoholic mule and some sort of tequila special that was both sweet and salty. We ordered lobster avocado toast and two fairly normal breakfast. Normal until you saw the portions. The hashbrowns were huge and done perfectly! Eggs and ham all good. The complimentary caramel roll was nice too. Considering how busy they were it was a really nice visit.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Edina, MN! 1- Great ambiance and music 2-Excellent cocktail paired with friendly service 3-Amazing food and a huge menu to choose from ... I cannot wait for my next trip to bring me here .

The "wagyu" hotdog in puff pastry appetizer.

The bad: prices. I realize it's galleria rent, large staff, inflation, beautifully decorated restaurant, etc. However $21 for the 6 bites of hot dogs in puff pastry app was actually humorous. Cov, you should take this off the menu, it is not a good look. If you severed 2 full sausages with the mustard and the fried onions that would have been fine. This dish looks like something a middle schooler made, and the value is terrible. Not so great: Overall Menu is pretty simple, safe, and nothing interesting. Can't tell what they are know for. Everything from Sushi rolls to burgers and pasta. Wife's fish was drowning in butter. Her sautéed spinach had garlic that wasn't cooked enough so it overpowered everything. They charged $3 to split the pasta dish our kids had. $42 pasta dish... I didn't like any of the side dished to go with my steak, so she said they could do Brussel sprouts like in the appetizer option. I didn't realize she was just going to add the $18 Brussels app. It was loaded in a sauce and bacon which some people might like, but it made it super unhealthy for just wanting a green side with a steak. The good: Service. She was great, helpful. I like how they clear the table. They got us a table right away with no reservations on a busy night.

The space feels elevated and really well designed. Parking is a little limited in the lot, but there are additional options across the street which helps. Our server Baye took amazing care of us and gave great recommendations. Service overall was really strong and made the experience even better. The menu is impressive with a wide variety of flavorful options, and I really appreciated that they clearly label gluten free items. Such a great touch. Wasn't too busy when we arrived but by time we left it was packed. The food is asian fusion, very unique dishes and flavor profiles. I went with Wings and Fries, my friend got wings (a different flavor) and chips and salsa. I honestly didn't care for the wings. the texture of the batter/skin was off putting for me (looks like it would be crispy but pretty soggy). They had a lot of flavor though spice wise. The staff were pretty attentive. They kind of all worked together to do whatever needed to be done to help. Super nice ambiance! They even have a photography policy but you can't see it unless you use the restroom. The bathrooms were even a vibe- cute decor, birds chirping (lofi sounds), and warm hand towels. To the right of the bar is a super cute dining room filled with plants. The seating and all is just impressive here.

We were not greeted by a host for at least 10 minutes. There was a few couples waiting when we arrived & at one point we were all looking at each other confused as to why there was no host or any sort of greeting even by workers walking by. Additionally, we had to wait For our reservation. Our server did not bring us water for a very long time, even after stopping by our table and saying she would bring water. We ended up ordering our food along with drinks right away, given the lack of structure. Our server seemed surprised and almost annoyed at this. Outside of that she was friendly. Overall the food was ok- nothing super special. I enjoyed the ambiance and low lighting vibes. It is a smaller place but still a good amount of tables. They have a parking lot attached with a lot of space but also ample street parking. I would go back to check out the patio and maybe a happy hour in the summer but 3 stars because service & timeliness was way off. Hoping it was just a bad night & not the norm for an Edina spot.

My husband and I ended up trying everything on the restaurant week menu which included starters of shrimp bruschetta and steamed pork buns - both were light and so flavorful! I got the salmon with potatoes and pancetta wrapped asparagus while my husband got the roasted chicken with hominy, pork sausage, queso fresco and avocado. Both entrees were so incredibly fresh and with perfectly paired accompaniments - we were seriously thrilled we lucked out with this menu. I was pretty stuffed by the time dessert came around and didn't get a chance to take a photo but I got the key lime pie and my husband got the cheesecake. I am not typically a key lime pie person but this felt more like a tart and it was absolutely amazing. Perfect amount to finish off an immaculate meal!!

I am not sure why it took me so long to visit, but now that I have, I can see it becoming a frequent rotator on my list of pizza joints. There are no reservations and wait times can be long, but there is a small space with a counter where you can order drinks in the meantime. The bar, situated to the left, and the booths and tables to the right make for an intimate dining space. With one or two TVs, it feels a little more casual, but you can easily choose to not pay attention to the screens. Pear and gorgonzola salad: Would be too small for a meal in my opinion, but a nice starter to share if everyone wants some leafy greens. A light, pear vinaigrette coats mixed greens with equal amounts of walnuts, gorgonzola cheese and mixed root vegetables. If you're looking for a salad with some creativity, try it. Garlic knots: MUST get. It's like the savory version of the inside of a cinnamon roll. So doughy with a cheese crust and doused in butter and garlic, these knots sit on top of a light red sauce that can be used to enhance their flavor even further. They are rich and having one and a half was more plenty. Emma: Crust is so important to me in pizza, along with quality ingredients, and I think Mothership nailed it. The thin, buttery white sauce is not overpowering, and with a blend of cheeses, mushrooms and artichokes making up the bulk of the pizza, the hints of truffle honey, pistachio and basil can still peak through. The base of the pizza is thin with a Rosalia style crust - almost like naan bread - so doughy and soft. I think if you are prepared to wait for a table, it really is worth it. I can't forget the chocolate chip cookies and milk at the end too - I recognize a chocolate chip cookie is a chocolate chip cookie is a chocolate chip cookie - and these are just like the ones your mom makes! Not too thin or thick, packed with chocolate, slightly crisp on the outside with a soft interior and best dunked in whole milk! Highly recommend this spot in Edina.

We were quoted 30 minutes but were able to grab a spot at the bar at about minute 15! - We got the Care Bear pizza not realizing how spicy it would be! Would love them to add a spiciness level to their menu! It was still tasty but harder to enjoy! -There really isn't a "lobby" area.
