    Seared Scallops and Cheese Grits
    Debra M.

This is a beautiful restaurant with healthful food options and nutrition info (calories/fat/carbs/protein) under each menu item. We were a part of seven and service was prompt. Our server Jay was delightful and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. Our food came out as it should, apps and salads before mains, and everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the Seared Scallops on cheese grits (as a Girl Raised In The South - GRITS, lol) I love grits and few restaurants get them right in MN. This one does! The scallops were cooked perfectly and the grits were creamy and thick. Scallions and lardons added a nice flavor. I loved this dish and my *only contrary comment is the popcorn garnish. I loathe popcorn; luckily it was just around the plate so it was easy to push aside. One of the best things about this place is the mini desserts! You can get a flight or order individually and get a perfect couple of bites of a rich dessert for $4. Brilliant. I will definitely return to this lovely spot.

    Smoked Salmon Benedict

After years of driving past Mill Valley I finally stopped in for brunch! First off the space is beautiful. It is located on the main level of an apartment complex with a decent amount of parking available. The decor kind of looks like a hotel restaurant so it's very modern with bright, neutral colors and nice fixtures. It's actually a very large space with a decent size bar area, dining area, and private dining area but has a cozy feel. Perhaps my favorite thing was BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS!!! This is the way brunch should be! For my meal I got a kimchi breakfast bowl. It was good but didn't really wow me. The flavors were good but didn't have the punch I expected. My partner got the Benedict and that was delicious. Our bartender was absolutely fantastic. We ended up hanging out, drinking mimosas all the way up until brunch was over and she was done with her shift. Super friendly. The relief bartender was equally as awesome and we ended up hanging out and splitting a burger and some wings The burger was just okay. Honestly not good enough to get again. Overall the food was decent but will have me coming back to explore more of the menu. Based on food alone this would be a 3 star but because of the exceptional service it's a 4. @danny_runsforbeer

Grilled Chicken Wings - Korean Dry Rub
    Jordan F.

Was recommended by a friend to try Mill Valley Kitchen and it did not disappoint! We ordered the edamame with lemon + sea salt and the lemon on it provided a nice freshness and acidity! We also got the grilled chicken wings with the Korean dry rub. These were some of the best chicken wings I've had as they weren't too spicy, and tasted like they were taken right off the grill. The Peach, Ricotta, Prosciutto Flatbread was another fan favorite as the sweetness of the peach paired well with the salty prosciutto. We were seated on the patio which faces near the road so was a little disturbed at times by the noise of cars and motorcycles going by. There is a wide space for indoor seating as well.

    Crème brûlée and mini trio

My partner and I came here for an early Valentine's Day celebration and IM OBSESSED. I love how every dish had a unique twist that made it special. The curried cauliflower and Parmesan broccoli sides were to die for. We also had multiple desserts (loved the maple panna cotta with volcanic salt and the crème brûlée). A couple things got missed by the wait staff here and there but they were happy to correct mistakes and they are all very kind. We'll definitely be back!

Met a couple of friends here for drinks and dinner. The entrance is hidden in an apartment building and next to a physical therapy clinic which i found interesting. We had reservations so got seated and started with a couple of beverages. Ordered the old fashioned and found it to be very sweet. Asked the server to help out with my next choice and he recommended the Dill Caipirinha, which was more my speed. Also had their Night Club and the Summer Passion (which the server recommended I ask for less sweet) and they were both pretty good. We ordered some wings for appetizers and we all had the miso seabass for our entree. The wings were flavorful and crispy. I enjoyed that with a good mix of spice and flavor. The sea bass I wasn't as impressed with. It was good. But the quinoa was a little bland and the cucumbers could have had flavor. Overall a good piece of fish but I wish the accompaniments were more flavorful. We ended the evening with the dessert trio (we chose Maple Panna Cotta, Key Lime and Triple Chocolate) and I had the Graham's 20 yr old port. The desserts were quite good and the port was also very good and a very nice end to the evening. I didn't dislike the place and would come again to try some of the other dishes. But will skip the sea bass.

This restaurant has so much greenery. It's beautiful. I love that the menu shows the calories of the food items. It seems a healthy and tasty . We ordered the beet lentil burger, quinoa blueberry pancakes, fingerling potatoes, waguy burger, salmon salad. It was all very delicious. The crowd that goes here is a bit older , I think it's probably attached to a community.

The food was so fresh tasting and flavorful! Restaurant itself is very nice looking, staff was friendly, and server was good. Great options and will definitely make a return. - Anthony

Miso Glazed Sea Bass and filet

Tried this for a girls dinner and it was good! We made a reservation which I'm glad we did as it was packed. Got seated right away in the restaurant upon arrival but parking was a hot mess - give yourself time to find a spot as it's a shared lot with other businesses and an apartment complex. Food was good but nothing to write home about. We started with the crab cake appetizer which was nice - good mix of flavors with citrus, spicy and a side salad. For dinner we shared a variety of things. The miso sea bass was the winner by far! Steak was nice but sides (polenta, eggplant) were nothing special and not great. We also got the squash salad with salmon. It was just okay - the squash was cold which ruined it for me although the salmon was warm. Service was a bit slow but I think because our server was letting us chat and catch up ha! Would recommend a visit - healthy options and a nice spot overall.

    Shrimp taco

I love this place. I just discovered it recently and they have a very cute cozy bar to fit that and a really good happy hour. The bartender is friendly. The food is delicious. I really liked the shrimp taco and the mussels they give you a lot of mussels and I shared it with a girlfriend and we couldn't even finish the whole bowl.

Mirabelle Smash Burger - 8.9/10 I'm a sucker for smash burgers and this one did not disappoint. Nice crispy bun and a special mustard sauce that we enjoyed and a different flavor I don't usually have on my burger Sticky Ribs - 5/10 Unfortunately these were quite dry and was comparing to sticky ribs I had last week at CoV that were fall off the bone Overall good spot, service, atmosphere, and would be happy to return. Very close to the lake(walking distance) There is a free parking ramp right behind the building. The decor of this place is cute! The details seem like they were well thought out! It feels upscale and cozy! I saw a video of this place and that was what originally drew me in! The seating here is also comfortable and not over crowded. Our server was ok. I saw so many raves about the "amazing service." She did refill our water glasses, which was good because I needed it with the salty steak! Obviously the most important piece is the food. We started with the popovers. The taste was fine but the texture was almost over done. The honey butter was lacking honey flavor. Cinnamon would have really elevated the butter! I got the steak frites and my sister got the spaghetti. My fries were average. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium all the way through! I was impressed. However, it was drowning in a VERY salty sauce! I had push a lot of it off. This should be served on the side, not covering the whole steak. My sister got the spaghetti, which our waitress explained was not a regular spaghetti. I feel she has probably had to do that multiple times and honestly, it should just be renamed. It's confusing for the customer. My sister did say she enjoyed the dish and that the shrimp was ere done well. For dessert I got "Aunties iced latte" which is their version of like an espresso martini. It was just ok. Would not get again. We got the carrot cake which was good!! But then they ruined it by putting fake whipped cream.... This is supposed to be a higher end restaurant and that made the dessert feel so cheap. We also got the creme brûlée. DO NOT ORDER THAT! It is an absolute waste of money! The sugar top was so thick we couldn't eat it! The dessert had the consistency of scrambled eggs, not a smooth custard. The taste seemed ok, but whoever made this does not know what they are doing! Overall, the food was not memorable and a lot of it was done poorly. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

They have changing tables in the bathrooms (unisex). They have high chairs available, including the kind with an attached tray, which is great for smaller/shorter babies who are too short in a regular high chair to reach the dining table. No kid's menu, but you can easily order a selection of add-ons and sides to piece together a meal your kid will like. It is generally pretty loud with chatter, so no need to worry if your kid is a little noisy or talkative. Smothered Chicken Plate with Mac and Cheese (4/5) - the sauces are what make this dish - the cream gravy the chicken is smothered in and the red sauce on the side. The chicken was tender. The Mac and cheese was creamy and not too cheesy, which I liked. Roasted Pork Bowl (5/5) - I generally love pulled pork, so I loved this pork. The pork was very flavorful. Good variety of textures, like the tenderness of the pork contrasting the crispy onion strings. Overall a lot of flavor and each bite can taste a little different due to all the things in it. Fried Fish Bowl (5/5) - fried catfish added good crunch to an otherwise soft textured dish. The yams were delicious and the apple based sauce on top gave it extra depth of flavor. The pickled hot peppers are great if you like spice, but easy to avoid if you don't. My only wish was that the fried catfish was thicker cuts of catfish (you do get two strips though!). Coconut-Vanilla Pudding (3/5) - this is a liquidy type of pudding. Light coconut and vanilla flavor, but more of the flavor came from the fresh pineapple it was topped with.

Yes, we added fries instead of chips which might be the cause for the higher prices, but you can get two well made burgers for less than this so it doesn't feel justified.
