It's been a long time since I've been here and I'm so glad to be back. I noticed they remodeled and did way more seating inside and outside. The place is cozy and I was greeted right away. I new I wanted the pabellón as last time it was so delicious and I loved the plantains in it. I ordered a side of yuca fries and boy were they delicious! I asked for an extra dipping sauce as I love the flavor. For my drink I guess you could say it's a secret menu surprise I ordered a chicha which is a traditional drink. It was honestly SO SO SO SO SO GOOD! I can't believe I'm saying this but it's better than the horchata I grew up drinking. I wish it wasn't as far for me to come here but I'll make effort to go often.

Absolutely love this restaurant!! The staff are friendly and welcoming. They made great recommendations for food to try. After ordering one round of food, the waitress took time to chat with me about other options and flavors. Found out they make their own cheese!! So, round 2 ordered some custom-made arepas with their in-house made cheese. Those are the photos that look like there's tofu, but that is actually their cheese (delicious!). The star items that I can't stop thinking about are the cachapas with the sweet corn pancake! Absolutely. Delicious! The guava & cheese tequeños are also delicious - perfectly balanced with the sweetness! Highly recommend this restaurant and I'll be bringing friends next time I come!

We stopped in before heading to golf; this place was amazing! The cashier was super helpful & nice, plus the portion size was a lot for the price. The shop itself is pretty small, but they have a nice number of tables, along with a couple of tables outside. I got a Patapata Arepa (black beans, choice of cheese (I got white), & avocado), along with a side of hot sauce. The food came out SUPER hot & fresh, with a ton of tasty toppings. Their hot sauce was a bit spicy, but nothing too crazy, & it was so tasty. I would absolutely recommend this spot & will be looking for an excuse to come back soon!

I love to see a Venezuelan business thriving. Stopped by about 30mins before they closed for the day and the place was packed. Despite being about to close, and clearly at capacity, they were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We came in for cheese tequeños, but they were out for the day... not to worry, though, as their guava and cheese tequeños never disappoint either. We also had a pabellon empanada (shredded beef, black beans, cheese, and fried plantains), and a ham and cheese empanadas, as well as a serving of fried arepas with nata (kind of a mix between sour cream and heavy whipping cream). Overall, a great experience, in a family owned restaurant, with well executed Venezuelan comfort food.

This spot is tucked away in a strip mall off of 494 and Flying Cloud Drive. We'd been meaning to try out their food and compare it to our Venezuelan family recipes. Unfortunately we had already eaten lunch, so we thought tequeños were a perfect snack to try! They were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The cheese was nice and salty - just like we're used to. Guayaba (guava) paired well with the cheese for a salty and sweet snack. Note: the space is compact and may not accommodate large groups.

I am so glad I found this place! I love finding excellent south american cuisine near the twin cities. We have been here a couple of times already and we always come out full and happy. Everything we've tried is so flavorful. My personal favorite but not pictured is the Reina Pepiada which is the arepa filled with chicken salad and avocado. We've also tried a couple of their smoothies and I like that they aren't too sweet. Another plus is how gluten-friendly this place is. Plenty of options! Service is always excellent and they're always ready to give you great recommendations from the menu. Limited seating inside and some seating outside but regardless, always a clean environment.

Love this hidden gem in Eden Prairie. It's a favorite for lunch and is always quickly made! I will say the restaurant is small so I usually take it to go! Favorites of mine are the carne burrito with shredded beef, black beans, avocado, and cheddar cheese! The shredded beef is amazing and all I get at this point! I also love to get the tequeños, which are a fried hand rolled pastry with queso blanco. When getting both of these there is definitely enough to share with a second person. But that doesn't mean you have too! Always always get both with garlic sauce and always get extra on top of that too. It is so worth it and is the perfect sauce!

OMG. We were in the area for an appointment and used Yelp to decide on a snack. This was a total winner. It is in a strip mall next to subway, and is completely unassuming. We split the pork (rumbera) arepa and yuca fries. The sandwich had so much meat in it and the first few bites needed a fork. It came with a choice of hot sauce or garlic sauce in a thimble of a container. It wasn't nearly enough for how big the sandwich is (which has no sauce). You can add another thimble for seventy five cents. The yuca fries were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Also got a choice of another sauce thimble. The size of the fries was as pictured. It was plenty but you can see in previous pictures that this is clearly less than previously served. Overall the meal was about 22 dollars before tip and was great. There are 3-4 family style tables inside. Bottled water and canned cokes to drink.

After trying my first arepa on vacation recently, I was poised to find a great arepa in the west metro! Teque Arepa was a great find and helped fulfill my arepa craving! Plenty of parking outside the small restaurant. I wouldn't plan on eating in unless there's only two of you. I was on a solo adventure, so I decided to take one of the tables outside. Service was incredibly friendly and professional the whole time! My only constructive feedback was that I thought the food was a bit expensive for what it was, BUT I'm all for supporting local businesses! The food was lovely! I ordered the Reina Pepiada Arepa, which included a warm arepa stuffed with cool chicken salad, avocado, and cheese! The perfect blend of temperatures, flavor, and texture. It was a very sizable serving, and left me satisfied! I also added a side of their cheese and quava tequeño, which were a great blend of sweet and savory! A great takeout spot or quick bite if you're in the EP area!

The first impression walking in was how welcoming the young lady at the counter was. She could tell we were not sure about what to order so she explained what the entrees were. The food was amazing. We had the empanadas, cachapas, arepas, and a side of the cheese sticks with mango sauce inside. Everything was sooo good. A little pricey but I'll definitely go back when I'm in town again. I was a small place but comfortable and cle

First time trying any Latin American food other than Mexican food. First time Venezuelan cuisine. The front desk girl it amazing. She listens well, understands your dietary restrictions and recommends good options. More than food it was her hospitality that made the entire experience so awesome! We ordered 2 vegetarian (Vegan + Cheese) Arepas and a side of (Yuca). Food is good and fresh hence please expect wait for your order. For the "west side" of St. Paul (I don't know why it is called that, for it is truly south and not…read moreat all west!), this is a very cool, chic and original concept for a foodie establishment. I went here with my twin sister, her husband, her husbands 2 brothers and one of his brother's fiance who were in town. All are foodies. All wanted to experience a good night out to titillate the tastebuds. For I try to impress upon out of town guests that not everyone in MN is of Scandinavian origin! But I digress... The food is just...awesome! Presentation is completely unique, including flaming drinks, an assortment of vessels for the dishes to accommodate the dish with an interesting flare without compromising ease of consuming or taste. Patatas bravas, tequenos, and rompe colchon were excellent. I mean mouth wateringly amazing. Shrimp in the rompe colchon was cooked PERFECTLY and the balance of the sour leche de tigre and mango made the dish interesting for the palate. Broccolini side dish was also cooked perfectly and the cheese foam gave a unique twist to the side dish. I ordered the bollitos pelones and OH MY GOODNESS. Think huge fried (but not greasy) ball of corn dough (like tamale but grains not so fine) stuffed with braised lamb and swimming in a dark, curry and spiced sauce. It was SOOOO GOOD and nothing like I'd ever had before. I also tried the pasta with rabbit and UMAMI! it was tasty. Also unique flavor that I cannot quite identify and the sauce to meat to pasta ratio was perfect. LOVED this experience and will 10000000% go back!

Crasqui isn't a traditional Venezuelan restaurant--it's a love letter. A tribute to memory,…read moretradition, and the flavors that shaped Chef-Owner Soleil's story. A political refugee from Venezuela, Chef Soleil translates pieces of her upbringing into elevated dishes that feel deeply personal. Each plate draws from the people, places, and moments that formed her, quietly transporting you to Crasqui--the tiny island off Venezuela's coast with sandy beaches and clear blue waters that inspired the name. Our Christmas Eve dinner was special not just for what was on the table, but for how it felt: warm, unhurried service, thoughtful pacing, and an atmosphere that invited you to stay awhile. Our table had the pleasure to indulge in: - Seafood Empanadas: calamari, shrimp, white fish & squid ink. - Rompe Colchón: shrimp ceviche in pineapple-habanero leche de tigre with house-made cassava chips. - Croquetas de Chorizo: potato fritters stuffed with leeks, garlic & chistorra chorizo. - Venezuelan Christmas Dinner: *Hallaca (corn dough filled with pork, beef & chicken wrapped in smoked plantain leaves); *Pernil (slow-cooked pork leg in malta & red wine); *Pan de Jamón (bread with raisins, smoked ham, green olives & cane sugar syrup); *Ensalada de Gallina (chicken salad). - Mochima: Mahi-Mahi stuffed with crab, parmesan & herb crust, sambuca beurre blanc, cilantro oil. Luxurious in texture and deeply satisfying, with each element clearly considered and working in quiet harmony. This dish was memorable for all the right reasons. - Dulce de Lechoza: Green Papaya dessert served with Vanilla Ice Cream. - Christmas Hug: their version of a Holiday old-fashioned. - Mulled Christmas wine What truly sets Crasqui apart: it is the only Venezuelan fine-dining restaurant in Minnesota, one of just three in the U.S., the only Venezuelan rum bar in the Midwest, and proudly 100% Latina & female-owned!
