Avocado toast benedict
Emily S.

Sunday brunch was fantastic! I went with a large group for brunch and had a wonderful experience. Our server was helpful and attentive and the food was a hit. Brunch is only offered on Sundays so make sure you plan ahead. Many of the menu offerings are served with their smoked gouda cheesy hash browns which are delectable. They are very cheesy and the perfect comfort food side dish. I ordered the K&R American Breakfast which was a classic. Eggs were exactly how I ordered them and the bacon was crispy. I ordered a side of fruit as an additional side and could skip it in the future. The fruit was fresh but was a very small side for $5 and only had two fruits in it. My spouse had the avocado toast benedict and added a sausage patty. The added protein was an expert idea and would recommend doing if you order this dish. The guacamole and pico were fresh and flavorful. No one left any food on their plate after this brunch experience! Seriously one of the best brunch options in Eagan!

The ambiance and crowds are fantastic, but the food failed to impress, unfortunately. Everything was very hearty with quality ingredients, but the menu lacked that fresh pop of flavor. Salads were smothered in dressing. Butternut squash soup did not even taste like butternut. Overall - a great place to go out and crowd watch, but not necessarily a culinary delight. Cocktails on the other hand were awesome. We'd pick this place for an evening date with some appetizers and cocktails

Seen that they had an espresso martini flight on social media and wanted to check it out with a friend. We did make reservations for 4pm, which is when they open for dinner/HH. They were also running a specials menu as well. We found out the flight was a limited time but the waiter told us they can still make a few of the variations for us. I got a raspberry one, tasted like chocolate covered raspberries, very interesting. We did order a few apps (which some were on the hh specials), we got the burnt ends cauliflower, truffle fries and fried pickles. The cauliflower was good, very unique, loved the bbq sauce on it. Fried pickles were also good, light batter, which I love, came with ranch and sriracha mayo (I think). The truffle fries weren't the greatest/my favorite but I'll eat potatoes in any form so I won't complain. Restaurant decor was nice, super cute. Service was great! We were checked on often by our waiter as well as other staff members (management), everyone was nice and welcoming!! When we first got there it wasn't too busy but it did start getting busy around 5. I'd recommend reservations.

What a lovely, cozy, and just-quiet-enough brunch space! All 3 breakfast benedict(s) my party ate were amazingly flavorful. The portion sizes were perfect, not to forget the Gouda cheesy hash-browns *chefs kiss* Service was attentive and pleasant; our food came out blazin' fast and hot. Our drinks were good - never have we seen a bloody come with a full hardboiled egg! We will be back! * shopping mall parking lot * mix of bar, high top, low top, and booth seating

Cute vintage vibe! Great for groups, bar seating, date night, girls night, family get together Seating: Indoor/Outdoor seating Bar seating Happy hour: Mon-Thurs 4-6pm, Friday 4-5:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 2-4pm See pics for food! I got the cauliflower burnt ends. They were delicious. Perfect amount of crispiness and flavor. The Bloody Mary was tasty! Got a beef stick, olive, lemon and lime. Not too spicy but can ask for spicy if you'd like! Good service. We sat on the patio. The only downfall was we asked if they could put the hanging lights on but they said they were broke. We also asked for a heater, which was right next to our table, and they said they had no propane. 1 location: Eagan and Golden Valley coming soon Free parking lot Website: https://kitchenandrail.com/

We came in with no reservations but was able to sit right away in the couch area. This was actually good since it was private. The food was good. Enjoyed the meatballs, the salsa di parma, salmon and definitely the cake! It was moist and definitely a must! The team members were so nice and friendly. The place is not too loud. I will definitely come back whenever I'm in town.

Our experience here was mixed. We visited on a Saturday at suppertime. The food was spectacular--out fast and delicious. Our service, however, was shoddy. Our server was incredibly harried, always out of breath and abrupt as she infrequently checked on us, and we were never asked if we wanted more drinks. We speculated that she had too many tables to manage and was just having a rough night. But onto the positive aspect: the food! We shared Kitchen and Rail's famous meatballs as an appetizer. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, the sauce thick and savory. My husband had the Vietnamese Pork Belly, which he found delicious and pleasantly spicy, while I had the perfectly cooked Pan Seared Duck. The amount of food was great, too, filling without being overkill. We're not sure if we would come here again, as there are several other restaurants in the immediate area that look interesting. I'm glad we got to try the food, though.

I made reservations and couldn't get the time I wanted so I chose the 5pm time slot. It ended up being perfect. It was happy hour until 6 so we ended up getting a reserve glass of wine for $7 while we chatted. For dinner, I chose the Blacked Roughy with root veggies and it was delicious. Loved the bit of crisp on the fish and the veggies were a nice contrast in texture to the fish. My meal came to the table nice and hot. The others at our table also thought their meals were delicious. I stole a few fries from Husband and they were amazing. I'd come back just for the fries and happy hour but I can't wait to try another option on the menu. The restaurant is in a strip mall but inside there were booths and tables which made you forget about the mall-effect. Our service was excellent. Great experience.

Migas

We came here for Sunday brunch and had a great time! We both ordered the Bloody Mary; it had the best rim salt seasoning I've ever had on a Bloody Mary! Our entrees included the Migas, Creole Benedict, and a side of the Gouda cheese hashbrowns. The Migas was huge, it's easily enough to share between 2 people. Our bartender/waiter was helpful and very nice. There's a large parking lot which makes parking very easy!

Very nice decor and comfortable seating. There were only two other tables of diners when we arrived, yet the service was glacially slow from start to finish. We started off with the Salsa Di Parma, which did not look like the pics from the restaurant at all--it was mostly shredded cheese with spices and a small amount of olive oil at the bottom of the cup that you had to dig for. Good flavor, but still, not as their pictures depict. My husband had the butter chicken, which he really enjoyed, and he offered me a bite and I agreed with him that it was delicious. I went with the pork belly slider and small caesar salad. The slider was tasty, but I can't say when I've ever had a caesar salad that was so bland; their dressing needs a lot of work. If there was a manager, I didn't see one. The workers just didn't seem like they cared. They huddled on the far side of the bar, near the hallway leading to the restrooms. Another diner had to go up to the bar and wait to try and flag someone down for a basket.

I've been here a couple times before, and the food has definitely been better. The service tonight was amazing. The ambience was also amazing, a little bit dark in there, lots of decor on the walls, but totally a vibe. It does get a little bit loud, but it still manageable to hear conversations. We did come at 5:30 on a Thursday, so that could've been why the food was a little off, but overall a pretty good experience!

Perfect spot for Happy Hour. Martini Monday is my favorite. Plus the apps are great. Have not tried any of main courses yet.

It would have been perfect to stop there. She then made a comment about immigrants and that all our welcomed. While I understand she was trying to to make a point it was not very sensitive to people who lost loved ones as a result of immigrants who were not deported after committing crimes and then ending up killing someone. Out of respect for the owner I did not ask her in front of all there whether she thinks the guy who killed the college student in Illinois last week would be welcomed. Or the guy who cut the innocent women's throat on public transportation last year. Would he be welcomed? My problem with statements Iike the one she made - either from the right or the left - is the this topic is much more nuanced. It is also very disrespectful to the families who have lost loves ones. I found it in very poor taste just like I would have if someone said up front that ALL immigrants should be deported. Very disappointing.

While our waitress was kind, we waited 25 minutes for water and never received the soda we ordered. She asked 4 tables if they had ordered a bread basket, clearly confused.

I received an extremely greasy chili dog (the bottom of the bun was stained orange as if it was literally just sitting in grease, I had to tear the entire bottoms off. As well as, everything generally just came out as if it had been sitting around, it was cold and a bit stale. I also ordered a "THE FARMER" from their breakfast menu, and though this was better and a little fresher, the potatoes were still cold and mostly uneatable. So, inna nutshell I haven't tried everything, but this isn't the first time a meal I've had from there came out subpar. Price to quality food ratio id have to rate it like a 2-3, the hotdog was 8 dollars and "the farmer" was around 13-14. With that in mind, to have points where I am genuinely STRUGGLING through my meal is crazy. I would have to rate my overall experience between a 3 - 4 outta 10. The restaurant has a bar-and-grill atmosphere, which makes sense given the brewery focus. It felt lively but still comfortable for a holiday dinner, and the menu offered several appealing choices both for the special and on the regular menu. We started with shrimp, which was cooked properly and had a good texture--firm and enjoyable without any rubbery or off-putting qualities. The French onion soup was a comforting course and fit the meal well. For the main, I ordered the burger, which was solid and satisfying. While not flashy, it was well prepared and enjoyable. A standout side was the sweet potato fries, which were exceptionally crisp with just the right amount of salt--easily some of the best I've had in a while. The dessert rounded out the meal nicely and completed the four-course experience. Nothing during the meal disappointed me; everything we had was good and well executed. Service was pleasant and professional. Our server was friendly and attentive, though the kitchen timing was a bit slow. We did notice that a few tables seated after us received their food sooner, but it wasn't enough to detract significantly from the overall experience. At $69 for a four-course Valentine's Day meal, the special felt like a good deal, offering variety and solid quality without feeling overpriced.
