We were about a 15 minute drive away, so would have been near perfect timing. After arriving, we waited a bit and then weren't seated - asked the hostess if our table would be ready soon, and she says it's actually been closer to a 45 minute wait all day. Not sure why the person on the phone lied to us. GM replied to my Google review and basically blamed me for calling to reserve instead of using the clunky, outdated online system. I came across Copper Pint after being recommended this place from a friend who comes here regularly, and I will pleasantly say I enjoyed it a lot! The place was packed on a Friday night. Our server was solid, no complaints there, but man the food was something else. I ordered the Truffle Burger which was very juicy and flavorful. The patty was very well seasoned, and the truffle flavor was actually apparent but also not overpowering, which can sometimes be an issue with truffle oil. I got my burger with a side of tator tots, which were satisfyingly crispy and melt in the mouth on the inside. The food can be a bit on the pricier side if you're not utilizing their special, but this place also does 2 for 1 drinks so there is some compromise in that department. Having gone to Willy McCoy in Bloomington multiple times, I will say this place is very similar in quality of the food. I do appreciate how there is more lighting at Copper Pint, and the aesthetic is more modern looking overall which I personally appreciate. read more

I dined with my mom and sister and we all loved the food and can't wait to go back. They had so many specials and everything sounded great. We got an app to share and then each got entrees. I would love to go back from drinks and more apps again soon. The dumplings we got were great and had wonderful flavor and cooked just perfect. I absolutely love the Braised Beef Short Rib - the dish is like a warm blanket that makes you want a nap afterwards. I've had it a bunch of times now for takeout and it's always been delicious - due to medical issues it's hard to find meals that are always agreeable and make me feel good and this is one of them, especially after a long day. I had it for the first time dining in and the dish had a lot more sauce compared to the takeout version but I also got a really fatty piece that was half inedible. To be fair, my server was training but he told me that's just how it usually is which isn't accurate. (I'm never one to complain, I hate confrontation and I just didn't know what to say back to him in that situation besides idk if I can eat this with a blank stare thinking this has to be a joke). His trainer Megan (I think that was her name?) came over without me even asking and validated that yes, it indeed was too much fat to just eat around and she specifically went and got me a new plate which was delicious and had very little fat like usual. She went out of her way, genuinely above and beyond, to make me feel better about my meal and told me not to worry. She checked on me multiple times to see if I was doing alright afterwards which I really appreciated. If it wasn't for Megan I would've just paid my bill and more than likely never came back due to fear of that happening again and not knowing what to do about it. When we arrived we realized we had been there before. If we had realized that earlier we would not have chosen to go there because of the noise. The concrete floor unfinished ceiling and open floor plan our first visit there was just so loud. This time we went about 1:30. It was still loud at first but by 2 pm it had quieted down quite a bit. Don't want to sound too crazy about this but our first visit we could hardly hear each other talk across the table. Second time much better at different time of day. Service was good. As a Shakopee resident and a march madness enjoyer, I was looking for the perfect place to catch some games this Friday evening and enjoy some tasty eats alongside my friends. That's why I decided to go to McCoy's Copper Pint. This place does great business and understandably so as you'll find out later in this review. We arrived at 4:45 and there was a 30 minute wait, we waited half an hour and were seated on time. Our waitress was fun, outgoing and gave very prompt service. There were enough TV's everywhere so all three of us could watch the games and not miss a second! To start off, I ordered us Chicken Buffalo Wontons off of their happy hour menu and the Hot Honey Shrimp off the regular appetizers menu. The Chicken Buffalo Wontons were delicious. A warm toasty crispy wonton shell filled with a creamy mix of buffalo sauce and chicken and a cream cheese-based dip that was full of rich, savory, umami flavor. The Hot Honey Shrimp was my favorite item I ordered. The breaded jumbo shrimp smothered in hot honey was to die for. The breading was hot and crunchy on the outside, the shrimp was juicy and cooked to perfection on the inside. The hot honey sauce was delicious and is what I would describe as "Minnesota hot", meaning it wasn't burning my mouth. When I ordered the Short Rib tacos, our waitress exclaimed how that was her favorite item, and I can see why. The short rib was delicious and the meat was cooked to melt in your mouth off of the first bite. The cilantro, cotija cheese and onions meshed well with the short rib. Not to mention you get a healthy side helping of lime rice and chips and salsa. The ambience was loud, but there was an aura of joy inside that offset the loudness as everyone seemed happy to be there, thanks to the great food and service. The inside is well lit and if you enjoy watching sports, you'd be hard pressed to find a seat in the restaurant where you'd have to crane your neck to watch a game. Boneless Buffalo wings 4/5 - Good Buffalo flavor and chicken was juicy, not overcooked. A little more bleu cheese and a bit crisper breading would have made them even better. Chicken club sandwich 3/5 - The avocados added a nice creamy texture. Sandwich was good but a little difficult to eat. Open faced beef sandwich - 3/5 Got it over fries instead of mashed potatoes and with extra gravy. Gravy was good. We come in about twice a month and are never disappointed. It's our go to for family and friends travel day from out of town because it's easy & always a slam dunk. The food is always prompt & the two for one drinks can't be beat. They have an extensive beer selection as well as specialty cocktails. The only thing to be wary of is wait times. If you're coming in between 5-6:30 ish you're likely going to have a wait for the table despite how big the place is. If it's just two of you, there's almost always a spot at the bar. Every time I'm in the area, dinner here is a tradition. This time for a group of 7. The Southwest bowl, chicken fajitas, true American burger, boneless wings, big heat burger, fish and chips and of course the gargantuan onion rings for everyone went from plateful to empty plate in record time. The food is delicious and the service is second to none. These folks know what they're doing. That you can make reservations online is a plus. I recommend that. Lots of TVs and lots of Parking. My husband and I went on a Monday night for 1/2 price burger night and 2 for one drinks (does not include wine or speciality drinks). They have a large beer selection and pricing is good. Not all of the burgers are valid for 1/2 price. I got the the French Onion Burger and my husband got the California burger, the food was hot and tasted fresh. The portions sizes are definitely on the larger side. The restaurant was busy while we were there. When we go out we almost always sit at the bar for the atmosphere and the added social aspect. If we go back to Copper Pint we won't do that again. It felt like everyone at the bar was yelling at each other. Than I realized the main issue is that the space between the server and customer is substantial, they almost have to yell to communicate. I understand that you need to set up bars efficiently, but this place was built new for this restaurant. They had plenty of staff behind the bar, but either we were consistently getting asked if we needed anything or ignored when we actually did and had to flag someone down. There were a lot of regulars there that night, which did seem to consume the bartenders time, the wait staff were often waiting to get drinks due to side conversations. We love being a regular and recognized by staff, I respect the bartenders who can do both. My husband and the couple next to us were complaining about how cold it was in there, both kept their coats on for the entire visit. A gal next to us had to send food back, she had requested her burger well done, as she is pregnant, it did not come out well done. The manager did bring it out with an apology, I don't hear anything about an adjustment to the bill. Unfortunately, by the time anyone checked with them and her food came out, her husband had long been done eating. Loved the atmosphere at McCoy's! It was casual and relaxed with an awesome rooftop! The service I received was top notch. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and had some great recommendations. I ordered a vodka blueberry lemonade from their list of delicious cocktails. For dinner I ordered the cheese curd Hawaiian pizza! I have never had a pizza like quite it before my boyfriend ordered a burger which came with a duck wonton. The wonton was so good we ordered a side of them as an appetizer. The only feedback I would give is once the sun set it for kinda chilly on the rooftop. There were no heaters turned on. We should have dressed alittle warmer as well. Bloodys were t bad! They had a few different kinds to choose from which is always fun. They were unfortunately out of beef sticks but I can't blame them for that. We started with the cheesesteak egg rolls. They sounded so good in the description but turned out a little off on the taste. They were a little soggy and the two different dipping sauces confused my taste buds. Like am I eating Chinese or American? Queso dip or sweet chilli dip. They weren't bad just not up to par. I tried the special turkey and brie sand which. Tots were my choice for the side. The tots were very tasty! Loved the slight seasoning and perfect crunch to them. I wished the turkey sandwich was served cold but I can't complain. It tasted like a simple sandwich. They are located in a really random location by Home Depot. They had tons of TVs for viewing all the American football teams a girl could dream of watching. Service was fair and so were the prices.
