I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I went to Chili's. It was probably an airport stop. I see the ads and the deals all the time, but it's just never been a top choice for me. Nothing had ever really wow'd me. Ask how I'm feeling now! We were out and about, and I was in the mood for Mexican, so I suggested Chili's. From the second we walked in, I noticed a difference. A manager greeted us right away, we were seated quickly, and our waitress was AH-MAZING! I have their app, and to my surprise there was a free chips and salsa promo. Not sure if that's always a thing, but it definitely didn't hurt. And let me tell you, the chips and salsa were part of the wow moment. Light, warm, incredibly crunchy, and so, so good. They were bottomless too but honestly the first batch was so huge we didn't even need more. I had the steak fajitas and my husband ordered the new crispy sandwich. The portions were massive, everything was fresh, and it was all served pretty quickly. The "sealed moment" for me was when the manager came back around, cleared our table and genuinely asked how everything was. I was jumping at the opportunity to tell them how great our experience was! On 8/1/2026, at 12:15 p.m. my family and I went to Chili's in Shakopee, MN. We stepped into the restaurant and a young lady was standing there and simply just looked at us. I was not sure if she was the host until she asked if we wanted a high top. No smile, no greeting, did not talk with us. We were seated in the bar area where there were 3 other tables with diners. 2 of the tables already had food and the third received their food within minutes of our arrival. The server looked at us but did not respond in any way. That's the last time we saw any staff on that side of the restaurant. After waiting for almost 15 minutes we left. Even the host was gone. The sad thing is on our first visit to this restaurant we wanted even longer and were offered a free dessert. This was the second and last time we will go to this restaurant. read more

Went to Chili's after hearing about their revamped menu. Got the featured tripple dipper, and overall was pretty decent. The fried mozz was just as stretchy as the viral IG videos, but that was really it. The outside had a nice tint of a crisp, but otherwise pretty bland. The marinara did help somewhat, but when the mozz stick is that big, it's hard for the ratio of seasoning to be spot on. The chicken crispers had lots of straggly bits of batter on the outside, which were a nice textural crunch. The chicken itself was just okay, and the outer sauce tasted just as described, nothing special though. The chicken didn't feel too oily at first, but after finishing I felt like I was constantly clearing my throughout of residual oil. Service was standard, no complaints except the server did forget to put in our order the first time he took it, but no harm no foul, we got a our food but a bit later than we would have liked. read more

Had a great experience at Chili's Grill & Bar! Our server, Andrea, was very kind, helpful, and attentive the whole time, making sure everything we needed was taken care of. The food came out fast and hot, and everything we ordered was really good and fresh. The service definitely made the experience even better. The ambiance was also really nice--casual, lively, and comfortable without feeling too loud or overwhelming. It had a relaxed, welcoming vibe that made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal. We went at lunch time on Saturday. The place wasn't too busy but maybe they were short staff. They were only sitting 4-5 tables at a time so we had about a 20 min wait before being seated even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We wanted to try the marg the month- witches brew. It was sour green apple flavored, overall it was very sweet & sour but okay. We also ordered food. I got a house salad & fries & others got the tripper dipper. I was able to finally try the viral Nashville hot mozzarella sticks, they were okay. I love cheese but it was a bit much. Overall I'm not the biggest fan of chilis food but am curious about the marg of month from time to time, so maybe that will bring me back in. read more

July28th, my 23 year old son and I decided to have a nice meal at chili's in Shakopee. We entered the restaurant and noticed that it was relatively quiet with a few customers. Our server appeared after about 5 minutes or so and we ordered. I asked for the surf and turf with 10 oz. sirloin, medium. We waited 15 minutes, then the server stopped by and told us our food was on its way. We waited another 15 minutes and finally the food arrived. My "medium" sirloin was served near raw, in a pool of blood, and was about 30% fat. I couldn't eat it. We called the manager over and he just acted nonchalant and gave me some excuse about the "new chef". He didn't seem concerned at all and just seemed to want to get away from us. The unconcerned manner in which the manager acted was unprofessional and disgraceful. He should be fired! What should have been a relaxing meal between father and son turned into a frustrating and stressful evening because of the callousness of the manager and the incompetence of the chef. I went here with 2 friends on a Saturday night and the place was busy! They were understaffed and not able to fill up the entire restaurant so they only had seating in certain areas. We did have to wait 30 minutes for a table but we were not overly bothered. We all ordered margaritas which were super tasty and sweet, along with burgers for dinner. The burgers were also good. Our waitress is the reason for my review because she was great. Went in recently on my lunch break and ordered the 3-for-$10. My choices were a bowl of potato soup, an unsweet tea, and the chicken crispers. They offer three different types of chicken tenders now; I selected the classic. I wish I had listened to my waitress a little more carefully or understood better when she told me it had a "thick breading". I was pleasant surprised to see that its a rather large portion--five tenders, plus the fries and corn-on-the-cob that usually comes with the dinner portion. Unfortunately, I was rather nonplussed by the tenders themselves. They reminded me of the things you get in a Hungry Man frozen dinner. Kind of a elongated version of sweet & sour chicken. Not exactly my cup of tea; the honey mustard doesn't really pair well with this kind of breading either. The fries are your standard-issue chain restaurant pieces. The corn on the cob was...corn on the cob. Unfortunately, this was the best part of my meal. My server was fine and refilled my iced tea when I needed it to. They have those stupid tablets at the table where you can swipe your card yourself. Who thought these were a good idea? That was the worst meal I've ever had at chili's The reason the rating is a 3 & not a 2 is because my companion said his wings were fine and my soup was fine I guess if fine is what they are going for. I took a picture of my cup of soup with the spoon to show how little there was in the bowl. Also, took a picture of my steak with my knife to show how small the steak was. And before you rip into me for getting a steak at chili's I use to do this all the time and it was wonderful, perfectly cooked even. Tonight it was an over cooked hockey puck, and basically tasted like a hamburger. I ordered butter with it, which didn't come with it, I asked for butter again, to try and give it some juice and she took forever to bring it in fact I just used ketchup otherwise it would of been cold. I got the brocolli and it was so salty my tongue was on fire so I couldn't even finish it. I know we don't have a lot of restaurants to choose from but come on this is ridiculous. Haven't been to this location in years, used to love it. Stopped in yesterday for lunch and I WILL NEVER BE BACK. I cannot even believe they served us the food they did. It was very obviously sitting under the warmer for a long time, which explains the long wait for two appetizers and a kids meal. This is the first time I came to this chilis and some things were okay and others were not. One thing that was for sure not good was the wait time. They had told us it would be 25 minutes. Most of the time when someone tells you the wait time they add a few minutes to be safe. This time though, we waited nearly 45 minutes before being seated. Another thing that set me off was the fact that the oranges I ordered were warm meaning the food likely sat under a heating lamp. The server was good and so was most of the food. Chili's throughout the years has always been good. I think they have the best chips and salsa. Now they have a club that you can join in order to get free chips and salsa on EVERY visit. The menu gets consistently updated with new and fresh offerings. This last time they made the portions LARGER and increased the prices. I would rather they went the other way. Make some smaller calorie/meal options for people that are a normal weight. I don't want to eat over 1000 calories for a meal. I have been to this location a number of times and very few times have I sat in the dining area. Most of the time, I am flying solo for lunch so I normally just head to the bar for fast service. Worst experience ever. Host grunted and ignored request for kids menu for my 5yo. Food was cold. Server never checked back until time for our check. When asked about our food at the time of our check, I let her know that everything was cold. We hadn't eaten even half of our food bc it was not good. She came over and heard my complaints, even acknowledged that server had told her that I requested to talk with her, yet clearly customer service was not a priority. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced from host, to server, kitchen, & manager. There was no accountability. There is no desire to improve the way they do business. I've eaten at the Chili's in Shakopee more than a few times and I have to say I am a fan. I love their chicken, bacon quesadilla. It's really the only menu item I've ordered because I love it so much. It is wonderful that they have happy hour pretty much 24-7 on 10 oz margaritas, some drafts, and daqueris. They have a 2 for $20 deal which is pretty awesome. My boyfriend and I have gone and both been able to find menu items that we enjoy within their 2 for $20 options. Their Queso is out of this world. Plus, their chips are the best, super thin, cripsy and well salted. Only gripe: I've had the fire-roasted corn Guacamole a few times and most of the time it was pretty mild, which I enjoyed a lot! However, the last time we ate there it was burn-your-face-off spicy.
