Birthday boy!

Impromptu birthday party for my nephew. Don't let the strip mall look deter you from this place. It's pretty cool inside...great bar, wide beer selection, cardboard crack, awesome food and stellar service! The ambiance is really great for a variety of ages. Lots of arcade games, all of the good NFL/NHL games on high quality TVs, and again, the service was outstanding!

Server Austin was AWESOME and fun! Pizza in various choices and sizes, shared pickle fries and cheese curds. Some of us ordered side salads, so added some health! Arcade games galore for the teens. What a fun place, full of energy.

My wife and I stopped in to this quaint tavern at 11 o'clock trying to get breakfast. Unfortunately, they don't serve breakfast, but we made a great one out of the appetizer and dessert pizza menus. Mary's getting the dessert pizza, and I'm getting the buffalo hot tots, with a side of a non-Russian vodka bloody Mary

I came across Copper Pint after being recommended this place from a friend who comes here…read moreregularly, and I will pleasantly say I enjoyed it a lot! The place was packed on a Friday night. Our server was solid, no complaints there, but man the food was something else. I ordered the Truffle Burger which was very juicy and flavorful. The patty was very well seasoned, and the truffle flavor was actually apparent but also not overpowering, which can sometimes be an issue with truffle oil. I got my burger with a side of tator tots, which were satisfyingly crispy and melt in the mouth on the inside. The food can be a bit on the pricier side if you're not utilizing their special, but this place also does 2 for 1 drinks so there is some compromise in that department. Having gone to Willy McCoy in Bloomington multiple times, I will say this place is very similar in quality of the food. I do appreciate how there is more lighting at Copper Pint, and the aesthetic is more modern looking overall which I personally appreciate.

McCoy's Copper Pint is the perfect mix of great food and a fun sports bar atmosphere. I've tried…read moreeverything from pasta and burgers to sandwiches, pizza, and even steak--and every single dish has been a 10/10. It does get pretty busy, so I'd definitely recommend joining the waitlist on your way there. That said, even during peak times, the service is consistently top-notch. If you're looking for a place to catch a game, this is it--there are TVs everywhere, plus frequent 2-for-1 deals that make it even better. Overall, it's the ideal spot for a lively, reliable sports bar experience.

Nothing had ever really wow'd me. Ask how I'm feeling now! We were out and about, and I was in the mood for Mexican, so I suggested Chili's. From the second we walked in, I noticed a difference. A manager greeted us right away, we were seated quickly, and our waitress was AH-MAZING! I have their app, and to my surprise there was a free chips and salsa promo. Not sure if that's always a thing, but it definitely didn't hurt. And let me tell you, the chips and salsa were part of the wow moment. Light, warm, incredibly crunchy, and so, so good. They were bottomless too but honestly the first batch was so huge we didn't even need more. I had the steak fajitas and my husband ordered the new crispy sandwich. The portions were massive, everything was fresh, and it was all served pretty quickly. The "sealed moment" for me was when the manager came back around, cleared our table and genuinely asked how everything was. I was jumping at the opportunity to tell them how great our experience was! I don't know what they're doing at this location, but the Shakopee Chili's has it going on! Keep it up!

Allow yourself a little breakfast sin at Perk Up Kitchen…read more It's important to have a favorite breakfast joint in the place(s) you reside and I think we found ours! The interior and exterior vibe are cool and inviting but it's the menu that really makes breakfast here a special experience. Each item is a little work of art in flavor, creativity, visual appeal, and the trendy/classic balance. Let's talk some of these menu items that impressed. Any good breakfast starts with good coffee and juice. The coffee is great and the orange juice is obviously fresh squeezed - the bright flavor that greets your mouth first sip proves it. We chose a variety of different kinds of items. I went sweet with the Strawberry Cornbread waffle. The flavors were a taste of strawberry heaven with its fresh strawberries PLUS a syrupy compote, honey butter and whipped cream. My husband likes to go hearty with layered potato and egg dishes so he went the distance and got the Breakfast Poutine. Layers of goodness in every forkful. What really ties this one together is the white sausage gravy. My kids always choose pancakes but a shout out to the scotch square accompaniment to the kids meal. A little stolen nibble reminded me of when my grandma used to melt butterscotch chips for recipes when I was a kid. Nice touch for kids and their parents reaching across their plates. I would rank this even higher than the bougie, high priced breakfast joints back home (which are struggling to prove their value for me these days). The food here gets you that more approachable decadence without making your eyes completely pop out of your head come check-time.

We even sat outside and enjoyed the fall weather. I started with the Maple Cold Brew Old Fashioned, made with Bulleit Bourbon, espresso liqueur, cold brew, maple syrup, and bitters. It was such a fun twist on an Old Fashioned - rich, coffee-forward, and just the right amount of sweet. For brunch, I ordered the Sunday in Italy - roasted red peppers, bruschetta tomatoes, artichokes, spinach, garlic, Gouda, fontina, and Gruyère topped with pesto. It came with greens with their house maple vinaigrette. Lots of flavor and definitely a satisfying brunch dish. Instead of toast, I upgraded for a gluten-free chocolate muffin, which was a nice little sweet treat to finish things off. Great place to catch up with friends over brunch, especially if you like creative cocktails and dishes with lots of flavor. I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu!
