    Sushi Tacos

These sushi tacos changed my life. The CRUNCH. The TASTE. YUM. I saw a TikTok about these and ran to get them the next day for lunch. I'm wowed by these and will be back soon!

This place is a must stop! I had a very difficult time picking just one or two things from their menu so I went a little overboard, but that was okay because they have to go containers for leftover udon. The sushi taco shell had a very surprising crunch and was super delicious, although a little messy to eat lol I ordered at the kiosk and my order was called out within 5 minutes, although you can pick some menu items up right from the buffet style line right out front. Place feels like a very modern noodle joint and is very clean and well laid out. Will definitely be back to try some of their other great looking options!

This place reminds me of marugame udon in Hawaii when I was looking up udon places. Both the menu and layout are the same so not sure if it is from the same sister chain? Decided to stop by here to satisfy the craving. We came here 1.5 hours before closing and a lot of the side fried extras were out :(. I was kind of sad. Have to go earlier next time to get the full spread at least. Here you can order at a kiosk or at the counter. We decided to order at the counter since we wanted to grab some sides. I also wasn't sure how to order the chicken Katsu curry don instead of udon since it wasn't clear but there was no line so it was very fast. Portion size is good as you can see. Chicken karaage: very tender and delish. The sauce is by the self serve station where utensil and water is. One of the better chicken karaage I've had. Beef udon: good portion of beef. Broth is flavorful and not too salty. Hubby really enjoyed this even though he got the chicken Katsu Chicken Katsu: also good portion as pictured. There's a couple more slices of chicken under the top layer which is nice. A lot of curry but also a lot of rice at the bottom. Between the 2 of us, we still had left over chicken Katsu to bring one. Definitely a will come back place for udon and chicken Katsu don. Will definitely go earlier next time to get more sides!

I was craving udon and this place hits the spot. Like many others, it reminded me of Marugame Udon in CA. I got the spicy miso and chicken katsu, friends got spicy beef, tonkatsu udon, and takoyaki. I tried a bit of everything and they were all solid. Spicy miso doesn't look spicy, but it has a kick to it. The noodles were thick and chewy, which is how I like it. I didn't care much for the other toppings on the spicy miso. I did like the mala broth on the spicy beef a lot and would get that next time. Everything else is self serve, but the staff in the kitchen and at check-out were extremely nice and welcoming. Will definitely come back whenever the cravings hit again!

This is such a cute restaurant!!! Love the art work and the set up as a whole. They have 2 kiosk where you can order food. Some of the items you can click on and it's tells you the ingredients but for some of the other items it doesn't. As a bit of picky eater it was hard figuring out what some of the stuff was and if it had meat/seafood that I didn't eat (even if I googled it). I ended up not ordering but they have a kind of walk up buffet where you can grab whatever you want and pay at the register. I ended up getting a kimchi rice ball and they heated it up for me. My cousin got a kimchi noodle bowl. Food came out fairly quick. We dined in and were the only ones but a few people came in for take out. We did call prior to going to ensure we could dine in the last opening hr and they were very nice the whole time. No closing pressure. Overall I'd come back to actually try some food.

Imagine a place inspired by the famous Marugame Udon where you order, they immediately make it in front of you, and you go down a line and grab any tempura options you want and pay at the end. You can then grab your own seat (mostly booths) and there is a self serve bar of sauces! Except there's way more broth options here, but the service is much slower. I tried the curry Nikutama udon, which came with sweet beef, a hot spring egg, and a thick curry soup. The soup was a bit toooo thick, so I kept pouring water in to make it less viscous. Otherwise, really generous portion, and you get to add unlimited scallions and crispy bits! Also tried the business combo 1, which includes any sushi taco, fried veggies and pork katsu, and chicken karaage. Every bite was absolutely delicious and the chicken karaage was some of the most juicy I've ever had. The salmon avocado taco was ok - very crunchy! I don't love wasabi so wish they didn't put that it. The sheer variety in this box is exciting!!

Soft and chewy udon but the broth wasn't spicy enough in our opinion. The salmon onigiri was delicious. The shrimp tempura was a bit cold but the boba tea was also sweet and chewy. The restaurant was spacious and clean when we visited, there is a kiosk to order but you can also order at the register. Also the make-line style is certainly efficient and I enjoyed watching my udon being made.

It was a unique concept where you put your order in a kiosk and sit down. There is A LOT of customization available, but for someone who is going for the first time, it was a little overwhelming. It asked me how much flake I wanted and I didn't understand what that meant. It also asked me if I wanted my tea 0% sugar, 20% sugar, 50% sugar, 70% sugar, or 100% sugar and I had no idea what that meant so I just guessed. It would be helpful if the kiosk also had the descriptions of what is in the different dishes.

This place is basically a copy of the chain Marugame Udon which is popular on the west coast, but they have a couple unique menu things including sushi tacos and rice bowls. I ordered this at the kiosk: (8/10) Shrimp tempura - Crispy, wasn't oily/ pretty light (8/10) Nikutama Udon - I really enjoyed the broth. Think noodles and good portion of meat. Not a big fan of having to crack my own egg. Also, I think I should've gotten less green onion, cause towards the end it was just all green onion. Was incredibly filling, I would get this again This is a fast casual place, so the food came out timely. Workers greeted us loudly on the way in and on the way out. You seat yourself and there is plenty of booths and seating, including outdoor seating on the patio in the back. Water is self-serve as well as their sauces. Make sure to bus your table yourself and return the tray to the tray return area. I'm definitely happy more and more asian places are popping up but price wise their dishes were the same or more expensive than the California menu (tbf Marugame is a chain). I paid roughly $36 for 2 bowls of Nikutama Udon, 1 shrimp tempura, 1 sweet potato tempura + tax.

For a Japanese place in Minnesota.. this place was really good. We were greeted as soon as we entered. We ordered through the kiosk and got seated. We got a noodle bowl rice bowl, salmon taco and a got one tempura sweet potato. It was all made fresh and everything was delicious. Since my sister lives here now, I can't wait to try more of the menu my next visit.

Quick service, with several options that can help the lunch crowd. Hope to update my review after enjoying more soup and donburi over the winter.

Business Combo 1 - Unagi taco

It's basically a Japanese chipotle and the quality matches. Fast casual tempura-d stuff and udon. Service and ambience were both solid but the food is pretty mid. Not a lot of protein is most dishes and they rely pretty heavily on over salting for flavor. The "taco" concept is novel but pretty hard to eat and there was only a small bit of the actual unagi on a bunch of pumpkin and rice. The lunch deal for the box would be solid but otherwise we probably won't be back. I'd rather pay a bit more for an overall better experience.

It's kind of a fun place, where you pick up your udon soup at the beginning of the line, and continue down to get your tempura toppings and any other items like sushi tacos or onigiri. The tempura is crisp and not greasy, but also not much flavor. You can get sauce at the end of the line, but it doesn't help much. I like the onigiri at Okome house the best, and these didn't measure up. The rice was undercooked and a little crunchy. The udon soup was typical; nothing unusual.

Food 5/5: we did AYCE. We got: Edemame, egg rolls, gyoza, corn cheese, Zuchinni, mushrooms, Miso soup, garlic shrimp, pork belly, ribeye, boneless short rib, skirt steak, and brisket. The marinated meats were my favorite along with the shrimp! I loved the pairing of the dry rub with both sauces, and the sauces definitely enhanced the flavor of the meats. Service 5/5: our server was very attentive and helpful. He asked if we wanted a demonstration which was helpful even though we knew what we were doing. They are quick to change your grill place when it gets covered, and I love the option of the avocado oil. Many other bbq places don't offer that. Ambiance 5/5: this place feels very fancy! Overall very spacious. The booth we were in was very comfortable. Overall a great option for AYCE BBQ! We loved our experience and will definitely be back.
