We found this place looking for a comfort meal after a plane ride and were extremely pleased with the experience! The restaurant is well decorated and clean. The staff greeted every customer coming through the doors and service was prompt and friendly. We got fresh fruit teas, Thai milk tea, ramen and a don buri to try. The drinks were really fantastic--got them with less sugar and you can really taste the tea. The fresh fruit teas have bits of fruit at the bottom which adds to the freshness. The Thai milk tea is probably the best we've had in awhile and we order them fairly regularly. There was excellent tea flavor with just the right amount of sugar and cream (@25%sugar). Highly recommend. The ramens were both very solid. Noodles had great texture, the char siu was well cooked with a nice sear, and the egg was just the right amount of runny. The broth had great depth of flavor but was a bit on the salty side. The spicy miso ramen was spicy for me but my husband could barely taste the spice. The beef donburi had well cooked thin slice beef and the rice was cooked to just the right texture. I wish there was a bit more sauce from the beef to soak into the rice, but that was minor. 4.5 for food. 5.0 for drinks, 5.0 for the ambiance and service--overall a 5 star find and we will definitely be back! read more

Omg, This food was so good, I cried. I NEVER KNEW THIS KIND OF FOOD EXISTED. I would highly recommend this amazing establishment. I saw nearly 2 dozen people come in for take out and another dozen came to eat in the restaurant. I would say the service was superb too. The inside of the restaurant was kind of darkly lit and decorated but it made it feel more cozy at our table. Yum is all I can start with! My date and I ordered delivery and we got two chicken stir fry ramens, age tofu, and gyoza. I added shredded char siu pork to mine which just made it over the top delicious! I was blown away with how good this ramen was and actually the age tofu (fried tofu with Japanese classical skewer sauce, tapped with bonito flakes) was my favorite part of the meal, it was just sooo good! It held its crunchy consistency even for takeout and towards the end of the meal, just so flavorful and the perfect appetizer! I didn't take any photos so you'll just have to trust me on this. I had Covid back in January and was lovingly sent ramen. I'd never had ramen from Ichiddo before and it was excellent. This ended up being the only meal I had for over 24 hours, divided into 2 sittings. Nothing else was appetizing and the soup felt amazing going down a pretty sore throat. It's a generous serving size; easily 2 people or great for leftovers. This is fantastic ramen. The broth is rich, flavorful, hearty and soothing. It was packed with other fresh and tasty add-ins. The pork was perfect and the egg tied it all together. I attribute this soup to the reason why I felt 100X better the next day. I can't wait to try other items on their menu. read more

Rating is strictly on boba tea as I was in a rush passing by and they had GREAT signage! First off, extremely clean interior and prompt service. The aroma smelt so very delicious and is already calling me back (making me consider a later dinner take out). The boba tea advertising has always caught my attention and I am so glad I finally was able to swing by. I got the passion tea with added pearls and it did not disappoint. I took a menu to go and everything looks amazing! This place is very robust offering various ramen dishes, edamame, sweet potato fries, fried rice, and pretty much any add on topping in the book including but not limited to: beef, pickled radish, mushrooms, shrimp, noodles, green onions, bamboo shoot, fried tofu, etc. I look forward to returning to try a more formal meal. We were the only people there, which for normal people is typically cause for concern but for some reason my fiancé and I always take it as a sign that we're about to eat some of the best food of our lives. And listen, I'm not trying to say we know it all, but in this scenario I do think that's kind of the case. Ichiddo Ramen did NOT disappoint. First of all, the service was lovely. The woman helping us was so cheerful, and when we asked her for a ramen recommendation she said "all of them," which is exactly what we wanted to hear. Now, the food. Good lord, it was good. We ordered 2 entrees and an app to split, because both of us experience major FOMO if we don't get to try the other's dish. We chose the Shredded Char Siu Ramen, Stir Fried Beef Ramen, and Xiao Long Bao as an app. The Xiao Long Bao was piping hot, perfectly soupy and flavored to perfection. Not under-filled and plenty of food for two (it would be great for more as well, but we are greedy little snarfers). The Char Siu Ramen was some of the best I've ever had. Delicious chili paste, perfectly cooked soft boiled egg, quality meat and produce. It's the perfect comfort food. I'm a sucker for Tan Tan Ramen/Tantanmen, and this was in that ball park -- the ultimate ramen to warm up with in the winter. The Beef Ramen Stir Fry was something I hadn't tried before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was fantastic. I'd go back just for this dish alone. My fav ramen shop that's within walking distance. While the proximity is nice, they make a mean ramen bowl. In addition to ramen they do sushi bowls, fried rice, and boba. So it's sort of like a catch all noodle shop. Because of that it feels like a diner filled with solid food and locals. read more

I just wish it was a little bit spicier since it said it was going to be but I guess it was Minnesota spicy. I also had the takoyaki which are fried octopus balls. I've always wanted to try them. Arrived on time for my order but it wasn't ready, and they clearly missed it coming in. No worries as I knew it would be hot! Five minutes later out the door. Got home, and dug in. It was just okay. The broth is good, but my complaint is that the toppings are sparse. I paid for extra /added toppings and it still felt stingy. To me the toppings and the broth are the experience, noodles are generally noodles. The boy said it tasted okay, but too plain. Our order (we each had the crispy chicken) was labeled spicy but we both agreed that it was not spicy at all. To be clear, it wasn't bad, just not that great. The few times I've been in I've had nothing less than great service and food. I was excited that this location opened up blocks from my apartment and in a nice shopping area. It hasn't been that busy the handful of times I've been and I hope that the difficult parking situation doesn't hurt their business, especially now that it's winter. So I've been to I think every Ichiddo in MN, and I have to say, they all are different, not sure if it's all different owners but they each all do well in different areas of the menu, and let me tell you, the highland park location has the BEST ramen out of all of them. The broth had so much definition to it and so much richness it couldn't compete with any of the others. Service was amazing just like any other Ichiddo we've been to. We did not get to try any of the appetizers this time around but from what I can tell on the ramen, the appetizers should be good as well! Cannot wait to come back and try other items on their menu! For sure worth checking out when you're in the area. And I believe this is the closest one to the southern suburbs. Situated on a busy road in Highland, it can be a little difficult in terms of parking but not impossible. I arrived for an early lunch and was very satisfied by the prompt and friendly service. The restaurant was very clean with a warm atmosphere. I ordered a Char Siu Pork Bun and the Char Siu ramen- I thought both were uninspired although I maybe could have gone for one of the other unique menu options. I prefer a little more flavor especially in the broth. I will say it was filling enough for a cold day when I was craving a warm and liquid dish. The interior is cute and the service is very good and friendly without checking up on you too much (I really appreciated that)! We had a Sapporo, fried veggie roll appetizers that I can't remember the name, Char Siu ramen, and vegetarian ramen with tofu. The appetizer was fresh and delicious,m--so crispy! We loved the broth of both ramens and they did not skimp on the toppings. I would definitely recommend this for a delicious and affordable meal in the area. We've visited before and always enjoyed the food, but our experience on Friday was not good. Arrived at 6:30 or so to find a packed restaurant. Not a problem - good to see the business full. It quickly became apparent however that there was only one staff member playing role of hostess, bartender, and server. We were seated along with three other tables at the same time. Those tables all received water, we did not. Those tables also received menus. We did not. Eventually I was able to flag the server and get our menus. While waiting to order, we witnessed a table asked to get up because they had been seated out of order from those waiting, only to be reseated about thirty seconds later. That same table left after about 20 minutes with nobody having taken a drink or food order for them. We placed a drink and food order at the same time. Drinks never showed up (and still no water!) until we asked about thirty minutes later. What saves this restaurant is their food. The ramen is excellent and was worth the wait. Perhaps this was an off night, or somebody didn't show up to work. I did notice a hiring sign in the window and wonder if they recently lost some staff. I hope they can get the service sorted out and we will definitely give it another try. read more

Hits the spot! My boyfriend and I love taking out here when we're looking for good ramen in the area. I consistently get the Shredded Char Siu ramen - it's got great flavor and spicy kick. My boyfriend really likes the stir fry ramen. Appetizers are just ok - I've ordered their edamame when I need a little green in my diet and have tried their pork buns also.
