If you're craving a bowl of creamy, comforting ramen in the heart of the city, Tenka Ramen delivers. The space sits right in the buzzing EatStreetCrossing area, so you get all the energy of that dining corridor. From the second you walk in you sense it's all about the broth -- velvety, rich, and perfectly seasoned. The ambience is relaxed but lively thanks to the Eat Street location: good for a casual dinner out with friends or a warm solo meal. A few things to note -- it does get a bit busy, so you might have a short wait, and while the menu is generous, it feels like the focus is really the ramen (so if you want a huge variety of non-ramen items you might look elsewhere).

If you're looking for a new ramen shop, look no further. This intimate spot offers of Lake Street is tucked away in a cozy corner in Uptown. The chefs are quick and cook the ramen immediately. The servers are kind and speedy. Now to the food. I've had a lot of ramen across the US. This ramen is authentic and delicious with topics like nori, bamboo, and mushrooms you can add or remove and a handful of ramen variations to chose from you will find the ramen that you like. The ramen has a classic shoyu taste. Salty with a hint of sweetness. The charred pork belly leans on the fatty side so if you're not a fan cut those portions off. The sides are delectable. My gyoza came out hot and the filling was delicious. Water is available for you to serve yourself which I appreciate because I don't have to grab a server every time I'm thirsty. I really enjoy Tenka and will continue coming!

Super Duper amazing! Tenka Ramen noodles are the best most authentic and delicious in Minneapolis.

Stand up and salute (bow) the finest Ramen restaurant you'll ever find in the United. Highly recommend. Very friendly workers. Very clean, hospitable environment. Bathrooms are excellent. Parking is available on the street, or there are some public ramps nearby. Also, there's lots of public transportation, buses, and stuff. This is a must have if you're in uptown or going around the lakes. I particularly enjoy hot Ramen on a cold blustery winter w

Wow this place hit the spot! This is probably my favorite ramen place I've had in Minneapolis. Tenka is so excellent! It's a cozy spot, and their decor is amazing. They were really quick in bringing out our food as well! We got the vegetarian spring rolls, gyoza, and we each tried our own unique bowls of ramen. We were all impressed! The egg in the ramen was so good and marinated, I think I'll add that to my bowl every time from now on! The service was friendly and so efficient. Plenty of vegetarian options. We had a movie to get to and we had more than enough time. Absolutely bringing friends to this place in the future. Excellent!

One of my favorite places for ramen in the twin cities. Broth is great, but not as rich as some which some will prefer, others not so much. Is it perfect? Nope, but it is better than most.

Our son liked the ramen too!

This is a small restaurant but the service is great. We really liked the ramen and their chicken buns. There are fun decorations and art all around the restaurant. Parking was a bit tricky as it's street parking. But overall we had a great experience here even with our young son along for the meal.

The noodles and other items in the ramen were good. I thought the broth at ramen kazama was a bit better than this place. The service is friendly. It's a very small and cozy restaurant.

Came after visiting the dentist as it was right next door. Small business in a small strip mall off Lake St. some space for sitting but not for large groups. Smaller menu consisting mostly of ramen (duh) and a few apps and fried rice. The staff were very nice. I ordered just some shrimp fried rice and a fried chicken bun. It was ready within 5-6 minutes. She said she gave me some soy sauce in the bag just in case but didn't think I'd need it. Told me to just try the rice without. I indeed tried it with and without, not needed at all. Very flavorful with some eggs and veggies and enormous shrimp. Very happy with my selections. Will consider a ramen in the future.

First of all, holy cow, they are fast and efficient! I ordered delivery and it was at my door in like 20 minutes. My partner ate his ramen so fast I'm surprised he doesn't have whiplash! Very smart takeout packaging! They kept the broth separate and even used cardboard to stack everything in the bag securely! We ordered the Tonkotsu and Shoyu ramen, Takoyaki (octopus dumplings), and a bubble milk tea! The Shoyu was absolutely the best compared to another popular ramen spot! So salty and umami! The Tonkatsu was also delicious but not the best I've had. The octopus dumplings were super tasty and well balanced, not too fishy. If you're scared to try it, don't be! As for the bubble milk tea, yum! Not overly sweet, just right! I'll be back to test out the spicy miso and update my review! There is paid street parking nearby that's usually pretty open and accessible, and a parking ramp.

Their agedashi tofu is about the only thing that tasted pretty decent.

Every city I visit, I must have a good ramen before I leave. I chose tenka ramen based on their overall reviews and I was quite disappointed. A red flag went up immediately when I saw a sriracha sauce at every table - authentic Japanese ramen places do not give you sriracha sauce to enhance the ramen flavor because it does the opposite - it *offsets* the pork ramen broth flavors! As I predicted, their shoyu ramen was one of the worse I have had. I noticed right away that the broth was quite oily and that pork ramen broth flavor was very minimal. Chashu pork was about 7 out of 10 as it was a bit tougher than what I get at legit ramen places. Service was the only reason tenka earned a 3-star review from me. Even their taro bubble tea was awful - they use cheap taro milk powder. Clearly yelp reviewers that rated this place have not had much experience eating authentic ramen. Other reviewers that are authentic ramen lovers like me, avoid this place at all costs.

Stopped by for lunch with some friends and had a great experience. I ordered the takoyaki and tonkotsu ramen--both were delicious! The staff was super friendly and welcoming. The space has plenty of seating, though I can see it filling up quickly during busy times. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

I love bamboo and the was plenty of it in the bowl. The egg was cooked perfectly. The noodles have a great chewy consistency. It was filling and I even got a to go container. The ramen was still good the next day, not soggy as you'd expect. They have cayenne pepper and some pickled peppers if you want more spice to the ramen. The bubble tea here is also really good, it's nice and easy to order with the kiosks they have. Cream cheese - typical but kind of small Chicken Katsu- crunch outside and not dry inside Ramen- from the presentation, does not look creamy. It also did not taste creamy. Doesn't have the typical tonkotsu ramen taste I've had before. Broth is a little bland. The pork belly is basically pork belly and not the typically ramen chashu pork I'm used to. It was a disappointing bowl of ramen. Sushi- presentation wise, does not look fancy. The plating looks like what you would get at an all you can eat place. Per husband, it was decent good. As for me, based on ramen, I would not go back for that. Maybe next time I will give sushi a try but not sure if it's a god back to place. If you want $5 appetizers, it's worth a try. If you get happy hour sushi rolls for $13 each is not too bad but regular price is about $17 per roll (like dynamite roll.) Service was quick. We had our standard sushi order: wontons, gyoza, spicy tuna roll, California roll, and Philly roll! The wonton and Philly were my favorite, with good cream cheese to wonton ratio, and the lovely cream cheese bite in the roll! They did charge $1 for the side of eel sauce, which felt unnecessary for the serving size.
