Another solid ramen spot in Eagan in a shopping strip. Went with my friend for dinner on a snowy night and we got takoyaki, and the spicy blaze tonkatsu ramen with chashu. The takoyaki was flavorful and the right amount of softness on the inside and the octopus was tender. The ramen broth wasn't too spicy but was flavorful. It came with nori, bean sprouts, marinated egg, corn, fish cake, bamboo, mushroom, green onion and chile paste (i believe). The star of the dish was the melt in your mouth chashu, and we received 4 pieces. We were seated and served (the service was good) but a lot of people went in for takeout. I believe you can also order at the counter but we were provided menus. There is more if a fast-casual vibe, but the decor was what you would expect from a ramen shop. I'll def be back to try the boba and poke!

It's always awesome to see more Asian restaurants open in the suburbs, and Oryza does not disappoint! It hits any craving you have with the ramen and poke combination that it has, with plenty of options for appetizer as well. We had the pork bun which comes with a cute umbrella, as well as the dynamite poke - it came with a pretty healthy serving of salmon and tuna, as well as cucumbers and sauce. The food came out quickly and we enjoyed the slightly classy feeling of the restaurant. Not pictured: boba milk tea which was surprisingly better than I thought it'd be. It had pretty good tea flavor!

After having completed my COVID-19 PCR test in preparation for returning home, I needed some lunch. It was yet again another frigid day in Eagan. I wanted something comforting. Ramen seemed fitting. I did a quick search and found Oryza Poke & Ramen. I like the combination of getting either a poke bowl or ramen, so I drove over here. It's in a small plaza with a bunch of businesses. It was fairly busy at noon, as expected. I parked a bit further away and walked over. I was greeted by two women behind the counter. I asked if I ordered at the counter and then sat down anywhere. Yep. Yay! Although I love both poke and ramen, I went with my gut instinct and got the latter. You can choose from the list of ramen varieties or customize your bowl. I got the miso ramen with chashu. I also ordered a Diet Pepsi. I paid with a credit card. The transaction went through smoothly. I also tipped. I found a spot completely away from the main entrance, just behind the kitchen. It was warm. There was a window with a ledge where I placed my purse. A woman came over with my Diet Pepsi and a glass with ice. It hit the spot. I watched a talk show on the screen as I sipped. My ramen came to me next. Ah, the steam that acts as a fast facial! It smelled so good. The ramen was yummy. I feel that the miso broth could have been stronger in flavour for my liking, but it was still decent. The chashu was so buttery and tender. You don't need to chew. It melts in your mouth. I loved the roasted seaweed, green onions, egg, and corn. They are my favourite staples in ramen. It came with bamboo shoots, which I don't enjoy. It was fine moving them off to the side. I simply need to ask that they be omitted next time. The noodles were perfectly done. The ramen here was comforting and hit the spot on a typical Minnesota winter day. The poke bowls looked good. I saw a couple order, er, a couple of them. The ingredients looked so fresh and bright. I hope to get a poke bowl here next. This place has a stamp program. I got a card with my first stamp on it. Towards the end of my meal, the same woman who came over with my ramen asked how everything was. Delicious! I used the washroom, which was several feet behind me. It was a single stall and was clean. I left, with both women wishing me a great day. How nice! I reciprocated. This eatery is on GrubHub. I may need to give it a try the next time I feel like getting takeout. Otherwise, I felt safe dining in. I'd return again to get more ramen or give the poke a try. (43)

Broth was flavorful and delightful! I appreciated the amount of ramen noodles (I'm a big eater) and protein in my ramen. Presentation was beautiful and customer service was great. I will definitely be back again. So yummy! Missing the one star because after finishing the broth, I learned that the "spicy" was undissolved on the bottom of my bowl.

Classic Tonkotsu Ramen (shrimp) + a side of pork

Whoa, this place is really good!! I was surprised I hadn't ever gotten food from Oryza before. I got the shrimp tonkotsu ramen and everything was fresh and flavorful. The broth was delish as well. I also got a side of pork belly and that was good -- I wouldn't say, melt in your mouth so much but definitely good. Also, the side comes with 1 but I asked for 2 and the chef was nice enough to do that for me. My husband and I got the chashu pork buns and the fried chicken buns. First, it says it comes with 1 pc for each but we got 2. No complaints here though!! Both the pork and chicken buns were so yummy (in my opinion a little heavy handed on the mayo), but the fried chicken stole the show! Omg it was SO good!! Definitely, definitely recommend getting a couple of those!! So, all-in-all we will for sure be back to eat in!

Great neighborhood place. Wonderful food with a very nice staff. I live out of state but try to swing by everytime I'm in town. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The dynamite poke is just the right amount of bit with plenty of fresh fish. I love how colorful the dish is with a wonderful mix of flavors and texture. I've eaten in and taken out. The food has been served or is ready quickly with great presentation. My husband ordered the classic ramen. His comments to follow.

Miso ramen with chicken (minus the fish cake)
    Kate A.

My husband and I stopped by for lunch this week. We were very excited to try a new ramen place. We had the harumaki (spring roll), the classic tonkotso ramen with the crispy chicken , and the miso ramen with the crispy chicken. The spring rolls did not have much flavor at all. The dipping sauce was very good but if you tried the spring roll alone it was very disappointing and pretty mushy on the inside. My husband's tonkotso broth was very flavorful. My miso broth had no flavor whatsoever. It seriously tasted like water. The noodles in both dishes were cooked nicely and had a nice texture. Neither of us liked the corn in the ramen. It seems too sweet to go along with either ramen we tried. I had high hopes for this place but I don't know that I will be back or if I do, I would definitely do the tonkotso.

This store is across from a Walgreens that I enjoy and a Dairy Queen that I had visited for the first time last month. I found this store easily. It's in a plaza with a bunch of other businesses. I backed into a spot and walked in. This store has Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai items. It looks like a tiny store from its exterior, but there is so much to look at when you're inside. The aisles are narrow. If you require a walker or wheelchair, you will have a tough time moving around this store. The fresh produce and fridges containing drinks and more are on the left when you first walk in. You can get baguettes and banh mi sandwiches by the checkout area on the right when you walk through the doors. The ramen, vermicelli, and noodle section is impressive. I stood there in awe of everything that I was looking at. I was also impressed that there was a little section with Chinese ointments and hair dyes. I wish that it was more extensive. However, if you want white flower oil or tiger balm for your ailments and such, you are good getting them here. It was nice seeing packages of banh xeo flour. You can pretty much find everything that you need to make an authentic Vietnamese, Chinese, or Thai meal, from sriracha to cha chien. I saw huge jackfruit by the Pocky. I've never seen both products so close together in a store. You can tell that this store packs so many products in such tiny quarters. The snacks are decent, from coconut-covered peanuts, to shrimp-flavoured chips. I didn't buy anything, but I was curious to check this place out. The store accepts cash and most major credit cards, including Discover. I enjoyed browsing here. I'd return if I need any snacks or feel adventurous to make some banh xeo in my hotel room. (113)

My friend got the Asada Mulita and he quite enjoyed it. That seemed like a good deal for $9, and $4.90 per taco for what I got is okay. The ambiance absolutely does not rise above what you would expect from an unremarkable, utilitarian convenience store with a few tables that aren't routinely wiped down. You can order online (highly recommended) or from a screen near their covered-up window. Whenever a food place is clearly hiding its employees from its customers, I'm nervous that I will be ignored. But someone was constantly popping out and asking people what their names were, and telling them how many minutes they can expect to wait. (Waiting = standing next to the salty snacks shelves.) I see now that they have Al Pastor Chicken with Pineapple Pico and I definitely want to come back and try that. Maybe I'll raise my rating if I love it. Meanwhile, I'd recommend considering this at least for the experience, but order ahead and expect a 30-minute wait. Also note that they close at 7pm.
