Mongolian Beef Fried Dumplings (6) Egg Rolls (2)
Nikki G.

Ordered takeout. We ordered Mongolian beef, noodles with beef, chicken fried rice, egg rolls and dumplings. Food arrived hot, lots of condiments and portions were generous. Everything tasted decent, nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. My biggest complaint is going to be the price - this was $140!!!!! Like my mind is absolutely blown!!! It was definitely not worth $140, maybe $40 or $50.

I love this place. Im from out of town and always come here when I visit family to get the lomein. Probably for the last 15 years or so. This is the only place I can find that has the thinner noodles. Always consistent and fresh. A good amount of food too that lasts me a few meals. I also got the kung pao beef last time, that was great too. Highly recommend! Great Wall: please never change your lomein!! I always look forward to it when I visit!

Not the best Chinese I've had. The Kung Pao sauce had good flavor but not spicy at all. We also ordered chicken chow mein, the chicken was super weirdly white and not that good of flavor. The cream cheese wontons were pretty sad as well, very small amounts of cream cheese and overly fried.

Great Wall Chinese is in my top 10 Asian restaurants in the twin cities but the prices have clearly gone up over the last several years. Located near 44th and France in Edina is probably one of the reasons but I'm a sucker for their Sesame Chicken and Chow Fun. It's also one of the few options open on Christmas Day, which has become tradition for my brother and I to see a movie and get Chinese food. On Christmas Day, service was bountiful and like other Chinese restaurants, Great Wall has a large menu with a lot of variety. Not sure I'd say it's the most authentic Chinese restaurant in the metro, but it's also trying to appeal to a different crowd in Edina. If you're looking for decent/good Chinese food at a slight premium, this is a good option. There's a free parking lot which can get full with all of the other businesses in this little strip mall, but there's also plenty of on street parking (for free) - just a little busy on France Avenue or park on the side streets and walk a block.

A little pricey, but this is my go to Kong pao place in the Edina area. Chili oil is always on point.

Egg rolls are good, pork fried rice was kinda bland. I would definitely go back and try something different. Three stars for now.

Expected Chinese -American food. Partner like her chicken and vegetables. Sweat and sour chicken was ok. We picked up. Fast and friendly.

Do not order. Trash food. Small portions to save money. Literally watering down the sweet and sour sauce.

I grew up LOVING this place. Haven't been in years so was excited. The food was mediocre and the service even more so.

We had sesame balls as an appetizer, and several dishes for the table. Everything was extremely delicious and served super hot and fast. The table favorite was the cumin lamb, definitely try that if you stop by! Family friendly, they had high chairs and were welcoming of our little one. Come support this little restaurant and enjoy some incredible Asian food!

I wanted something spicy Chinese and gave this place a shot. Spoiler alert, it wasn't but I also…read morehave a pretty high tolerance, and we are in Minnesota (no shade). I ordered the Stir Fry Spicy Beef, Mapo Tofu, and the Pork Belly. Everything was tasty and have no complaints as far as the actual flavors. I do think that the Mapo Tofu should always be soft tofu rather than firm, but that's just a personal preference. The beef was plentiful and extra tender and the pork belly was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, so good that I felt like I had to ration it throughout the next few meals. I do wish it came with more rice. I ordered three sides and only got one box of rice. I was hoping to have at least two so I can eat it for several days. However, to end on a positive note, when I walked in to pick up my order, the woman (owner possibly) was incredibly friendly and spoke Mandarin to me. She was welcoming, funny, and we briefly argued how spicy food should really be for it to be enjoyable. "The spicier the better," me thinks. Come show these guys some love!

Thinly sliced raw fatty beef, dipped into a simmering bowl of Szechuan spicy broth (both pepper and…read moremala spice)... I swirl it for 10 seconds or so then let it rest on my sauce of choice - sesame paste sauce, or chili garlic oil sauce. I'll eat it, along with noodle or rice, a qail egg perhaps. My mouth explodes with flavor. Every time. Hot pot, hot pot. In my gastronomical journey through life, Chinese hot pot is possibly my greatest encounter. And locally, it's Le Pot. Best broth bases - mala spicy, pork bone, and Tom yum are endorsed by me and my girlfriend Great foodstuffs - qual egg, udon noodles, good fatty beef, crab sticks, good old cabbage, tofu, bean curd, enoki mushroom etc - Lamb and pork are alright at this location, could be better Great sauce bar, as I can assemble my staples - Sauce 1: black vinegar, chili oil with flake, garlic oil with garlic, sesame oil, scallions, cilantro (about equal parts and adjust); season with sugar, salt and soy sauce if desired - Sauce 2: lots of sesame paste, and leave as is or maybe add scallions, chili oil, sesame seed **I do wish they had chive paste** - Sauce 3: Oyster sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, cilantro, green onion, black vinegar Value - it's like 30-35 dollars a person here. - I often leave more satisfied here than I do after a "fancy" night on the north loop What's missing - ambiance is okay - I do like a huge communal pot - Chive flower paste - Pork and lamb could be better - Broths are good, but I like the Chicago restaurants best Local hot pot honorable mentions - the place at Asia Mall with the electric rack innovation - Legendary Spice - you are free to grab a tray and raid their fridges/freezers for whatever meat, vegetable, etc you want. But the borth wasn't as good. Overall, it's rather expensive but quality is in some ways lower than Le Pot. - J Pot - Korean bbq and hot pot. The Chinese flavors were not as authentic, broths not as good to me, but wow having Korean bbq and hot pot at the same time! It's a decent value too.

Can't hurt to have AYCE hot pot added to the food scene. Individual sized pots here, order…read moreeverything through your server, and they have a wide selection including tripe and pork intestine. Service was good but uneven, the ambiance was decidedly no-frills, down to the high ceilings and pseudo-industrial vibe of the building. 3.5 stars seems reasonable, not sure if I should round up or down.
