Staff order taker was nice. Ordered lunch special Shrimp with mixed vegetables. I asked for water chestnuts to be left out. They were not. The fried rice with the entree had chicken, peas, carrots in it so definitely homemade but bland. Ordered 2 egg rolls. These were so small it was laughable. Obviously from frozen as they seemed pre-made. The lunch portion was enough food for 2 meals so good value. The lunch price included a can of pop. Fried rice had onions in it that I picked out. The reviews are good here. Maybe I ordered wrong. IDK. The cream cheese wontons were good. There does not appear to be a buffet. I probably won't return. Egg Roll king and Simplee Pho are much better. Also spouse's chow mein box was stapled shut. Staples should not be near food!depth. I wasn't expecting this food to be so good. I'd driven by there plenty of times since moving to Rosemount recently. The woman at the counter said 10min and the food was ready in that time. Very fresh and tasty Chinese. I ordered the General Tso extra spicy. It's a nice looking establishment with great customer service. I will be back!!!! read more

I dont quite understand the love this place gets. I try to find the good and promote it, but China Wok in Rosemount dosent have a positive. After recently moving back to mn, I was looking for chineese and the reviews seemed to be pretty positive. Once I walked in, I realized I had eaten here before (and was not happy) and figured I would give them another try. My meat for eat in was served in a Styrofoam Togo container the fried rice was absolutely disgusting, the rice was "off". The best description would be gentle Ben's overcooked with no flavor. I have going to China Wok for many years. The gentleman who takes the order and checks you out is always amazing. I no longer enjoy the food. Placed my order today 1-28-26 and was told 15 minute. I was there within that time frame. It was ready to go! My order was for Szechuan beef only and got home shortly after getting it and ate. Three bites in, extremely disappointed. It is marked as spicy, there was zero spice, not even MN level of spice, nothing. Veggies that come with it, standard and were fine. A lot of sauce, which I should have asked for less. The beef was mushy. That is the only way I can describe it. Time to find a new restaurant unfortunately. Hope you have better luck than me. read more

Beware! My family ordered a very large order for our pre-Christmas celebration. We ordered online & when we went to pick it up they mixed up our order with someone ahead of us (to the point they stopped us as we walked out the door). When we got home we realized we actually had the right one before they switched it and we had to drive all the way back to get the right order. Instead of apologizing for the mistake- they scolded us telling us it was our fault for not checking. Horrible customer service- food wasn't anything special. Delicious! The serving size was sooo generous! I had to almost violently push away a half bowl of Beef & Scallops. Two more meals...not just one! And the taste...great brown sauce, fresh broccoli, carrots, and more ! It came with white rice but I ordered fried rice. It was good in combination. I did not taste it separately. I did also get the appetizer fried shrimp though. They were huge! So crispy. They still tasted like shrimp...not just like breading. This place was a nice surprise as I was in the mood for a good Chinese food, but you never know what you're gonna get when business traveling. China Wok was clean, and the food was very fresh. I enjoyed the roast pork fried rice as well as an order of egg rolls. The eggrolls were much more delicious than I expected, and I'm usually pretty picky on egg roll excellence. What I especially enjoyed was the "special" egg foo yong, which had shrimp, pork, and chicken. The shrimp were quite large, and full of flavor. The gravy that went with it was a little bit sweet and very tasty. This was a Chinese food road win! read more

I actually prefer Xin Wong right down the street for my meals but I always stop in here to get some Szechuan dumplings in red hot oil. They are so good. I get a side of the red sweet and sour to dip them in and Ooh Lala they are delicious! read more

Everything was super stale, like it was from earlier in the day. Fried rice was parboiled rice and was disgusting! My kids who will eat any kind of rice usually...wouldn't touch it. My GF and I went here on Xmas Day because who doesn't want to try that at least once in their life?! We got the lunch specials and ordered like four entrees between the two of us, knowing we wanted to try a variety and would have lots of leftovers. They came with cream cheese wontons too. Seriously, everything we have tried is delicious: Lemon chicken, Kung Pao chicken, Sweet-and-sour chicken, beef and broccoli, cashew chicken, fried potstickers, eggrolls, fried rice, hot oil dumplings in peanut sauce and any else I may have forgot has been cooked fresh, and is outstanding. I admit to a weakness for the occasional Asian buffet, but this one was just so/so. Not really any items that stood out beyond the average preparation, and minimal seasoning--certainly nothing approaching spicy or even strongly seasoned. Dishes containing meat were rather thickly battered. Veggies were had cut, and buffet dishes were frequently refilled. There were a number of patrons here this day, so they have a niche to fill and apparently are successful with some customer segments. Me? A pleasant surprise! I was so craving some good Chinese food on a cold blizzard night and we made our way to China Wok. This is a buffet during lunch, and takeout during dinner and is owned by very friendly Fujianese people. Upon entry we saw a couple of parties ahead of us so we knew there would be a wait. We got the peppered beef, orange chicken, Chicken fried rice, and also the egg drop soup. All of them tasted so authentic and reminds me of my family's cooking. Especially on a cold night like this there is nothing better than warm soup. They have a very wide variety of things ranging from fried rice, noodles, shrimp, beef, etc. after about a 30 minutes wait we received our food. Fortune cookies, sauces, utensils are all located next to register for your convenience. We sat down to eat our takeout order and it was soooo good. We have lived in Eagan for almost a year and are so thankful we FINALLY found our new Chinese takeout spot! Tried a lot of duds while searching. It's so worth the short drive to Rosemount. Everything was hot and fresh even after the drive home. General Tso Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, Mixed Veggies, Cream Cheese Wontons, Veggie Eggrolls, Meat Eggrolls, and white rice were all fantastic. I have frequented the buffet many times and it has never failed me. Quantity, quality and a good price...what more could you ask for? Simple as that. If you are out of town, I would recommend this to you. If you are from Rosemount, I would strongly question why you haven't been to the China Wok buffet once in the past year. This has now become a tradition for my friends and I, and I don't think that will change in the near future. If I would have one complaint, it would be that the booths aren't locked in place and can move a few centimeters here and there, but that is not a big deal. Well I'd have to say coming all the way out here in Rosemount I did not expect to see Sri Lankan, Japanese, and a Chinese restaurant that serves some authentic dishes! We go the Singapore Fried Rice Noodles (#48) and the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles (#C11). Other than the fact that they used the completely wrong kind of noodle for the Pan Fried Noodle dish, everything tasted just fine for a place in Rosemount. The nice folks are from Fujian, and the lady only spoke in Mandarin. I told her I was from HK, and only spoke Cantonese, but she was so excited to see me she just kept talking as if I understood her. So sweet. We'd definitely go back the next time we go camping at Whitetail Woods Regional Park. read more

My food order was $34.55, but after the "convenience fee {what keeps the "DOORDA$H DOORS OPEN}, The Delivery Fee, and an "automatic" 15% tip on my $34.55 meal, it ended up costing me $54.84 USD!!! A hidden gem in Rosemount. We've been ordering from here for 15 years and they never disappoint. The food is high quality and consistent. We really appreciate the healthier food options. The boneless spareribs (probably not so healthy!) are to die for!!! Not sure if they still offer the buffet at lunch. If so, it was excellent as well. The food is always hot and fresh and very tasty. Our favorites are their egg rolls, and their Chicken Garlic and Beef Garlic dinner combinations. Their dinner combinations come with one egg roll, chicken fried rice the entree and a pop and their portion sizes are very generous with reasonable prices. They are always friendly and enjoy getting to know their regular customers. We've always done take out and never tried their buffet. read more

The food was fantastic! Black pepper chicken and Szechuan pepper chicken was our favorite entrees. The Szechuan dumplings are absolutely awesome (if you have textural issues, I don't recommend the dumplings, however they are delicious). The only complaint was the Mai fun was a little bland.
