Shrimp Lo Mein

We were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant in Eagan and we had heard about Cam Ranh Bay, but we had never eaten there so we thought we'd give it a try. I am so happy that we did as this has now become one of my all time favorite restaurants. Though the restaurant has limited seating, there is usually a table available if we choose to eat inside. The woman who runs the front counter is extremely pleasant. The food is always prepared quickly and fresh. The prices are very reasonable and the menu is pretty extensive. My favorite is their Shrimp Lo Mein. What a great find!

We stumbled upon Cam Ranh Bay while looking for a Vietnamese place in the area and they did not disappoint! We had a group of 5 of us and we were still immediately sat! Our service was super speedy and we ordered right away. I ordered the lunch combo which included so much food for a very low price! And it was very good! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Small place with powerfully good punch to their cuisine! Few tables, so easier to get your wonderful entrees & appetizers to go! The Lemongrass Chicken is excellent here: moist/tender chicken, spicy-good sauce! This is our To-Go spot!

I really liked this restaurant and take out! The over the phone order was very easy, food was completed on time, and the taste was great! Food was fresh looking and lots of flavor. Love how they cut up the egg rolls for you too. The restaurant itself looked clean and nice. Parking was easy. - Anthony

Was feeling tired so I went get soup and wasn't disappointed... love this place. Always sooo yummy. I love coming here. - Vegetable soup with dumplings and a plate of fried spring rolls served at Cam Ranh Bay Restaurant in Burnsville, Minnesota.

Excellent egg rolls. Ask for a more higher spice if you like your food with a kick. High quality meat in their entrées

The servers were attentive and we did not even need to use the call button. Food came out quickly, it was delicious. The broth is flavorful, they add in a good amount of extra ingredients. I love bamboo and the was plenty of it in the bowl. The egg was cooked perfectly. The noodles have a great chewy consistency. It was filling and I even got a to go container. The ramen was still good the next day, not soggy as you'd expect. They have cayenne pepper and some pickled peppers if you want more spice to the ramen. The bubble tea here is also really good, it's nice and easy to order with the kiosks they have. The overall atmosphere is very nice, makes you feel like you are in Japan, they even have the umbrella bags for rainy days!

The place is bright and clean, and they also have a few private rooms! I got the Combo A, which included tonkotsu ramen, a pork bao, and matcha dessert. The pork bao and matcha dessert were just okay but the ramen was rich and comforting. The noodles were not too soft, and the pork was tender and flavorful. It doesn't compare to ramen I've had in Japan or even LA but it hits the spot when I'm craving it!

Northern Kitchen - Mapo tofu, pork belly and spicy beef stir fry- good flavors

I wanted something spicy Chinese and gave this place a shot. Spoiler alert, it wasn't but I also…read morehave a pretty high tolerance, and we are in Minnesota (no shade). I ordered the Stir Fry Spicy Beef, Mapo Tofu, and the Pork Belly. Everything was tasty and have no complaints as far as the actual flavors. I do think that the Mapo Tofu should always be soft tofu rather than firm, but that's just a personal preference. The beef was plentiful and extra tender and the pork belly was perfectly melt-in-your-mouth, so good that I felt like I had to ration it throughout the next few meals. I do wish it came with more rice. I ordered three sides and only got one box of rice. I was hoping to have at least two so I can eat it for several days. However, to end on a positive note, when I walked in to pick up my order, the woman (owner possibly) was incredibly friendly and spoke Mandarin to me. She was welcoming, funny, and we briefly argued how spicy food should really be for it to be enjoyable. "The spicier the better," me thinks. Come show these guys some love!

This is one of those low key hidden gem restaurants that serve authentic food without a doubt,…read morebecause it's not only difficult to locate, but also relatively exclusive in terms of its clientele. I enjoyed everything I have had here so far and definitely appreciated the authentic aspect of the food they have. The only improvement I could suggest was the taste of a lot of their dishes, as flavors tended to be on the mild side. It doesn't mean their food is any less authentic, though, and I would recommend all that are looking for authentic Chinese food to visit here. Individually, I ordered dishes that I would normally order in Chinese restaurants, so while I am not sure if there's anything I can necessarily recommend yet, I will say that I thought every dish I have had were above average in comparison to the same dishes I have had elsewhere. My favorite so far is the fried pork in scoop (锅包肉) and I don't even regularly eat pork. There was a nice layer of sweetness and sourness witht the sauce outside the pork pieces. The vegetable dishes like eggplant in garlic sauce (鱼香茄子), green beans with garlic (干煸四季豆), and Chinese cabbage (手撕包菜) are all tasty enough. The Chinese cabbage contained a lot of vinegar, and I bet some people would enjoy that. I didn't taste enough cumin in the cumin lamb (孜然羊肉) dish, but there was an abundant amount of lamb and I appreciated it. The spicy pepper chicken (辣子鸡) was very delicious and had the right amount of spice in my opinion. There is a Relaxing Healthy Center that's connected to the restaurant and apparently that establishment has been very popular, especially in the evenings. I have not visited there yet but I heard that it was similar to saunas in China, and I would love to visit there soon. Regardless, this is a hidden gem, hole in the wall, type of spot and I would definitely recommend everyone.
