Had an issue with Uber Eats. Not their fault! The man on the phone was very nice and sent a driver to deliver my food while apologizing a lot. Avoid this restaurant! Filthy filthy bathroom, restaurant floor, and ordering counter. They also mischarged us - only by $1.50- but still! Upon entering the restaurant, we nearly turned around given the unclean look, but the nearby Anna Chung was closed and we thought - well maybe it will be Ok as we didn't want to have to keep driving around to find another place. Anyway, we got the lunch special (printed menu had the wrong price too)- general Tso's was Ok, garlic chicken was pretty good, and chicken with almond was medicore(meat seemed oddly deep-fried and low quality). Try anywhere else. LeAnn Chin is not too far away. Seems the health department should review this place and it may need to be shut down as it couldn't possibly pass cleanliness inspection. read more

Ordered for the first and last time. The egg rolls were passable but similar the ones in the freezer section at the grocery store. Fried rice and lo mein were very average. If you lived close by and that's all you ever ordered, it might get you by? It's the only reason this isn't one star. The Mongolian beef, which we asked for light spice on, had so many red pepper flakes they looked like sprinkles on a donut. That momentarily disguised the fact that the sauce was red rather than brown from all the chili oil added. I have never had a worse version of this. It went straight into the garbage. It was so over the top, it almost felt like a teenage cook playing a prank to get a laugh from friends- and I love spicy things. You couldn't even taste the underlying dish. Probably the best Chinese food in Eagan. Hot and sour soup is really good! Food is always delivered hot, and promptly. Never had an order wrong when delivered. I do use the website to order which might be where it helps with the confusion. I always get the hot and sour soup with no mushrooms, orange chicken extra spicy, and chicken fried rice. Went looking for some decent Kung Pao CHicken. Since Lund's quit using Big Bowl, it's been difficult. Tried Crystal Jade's. Lots of peanuts, which I like, vegetables were crisp - another good thing. Sadly, the sauce was not particularly spicy. As a person who struggles with ketchup, I had to add chili flakes. And the worst part was that the chicken was so overcooked, it was nearly inedible. Bathrooms were just nasty, no tissue, no paper towels.. the steamed dumplings were awesome!!!!!! So much flavor butsting from the paper thin cases. A 2 star might be overdoing it but the service was fast and the people friendly. I was staying down the street at a hotel on company business and appreciated the quick delivery to my room. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix and what I got was a plate full of red syrup, "Chinese vegetables" which apparently are frozen peas and carrots and a massive amount of chopped onion, and the worst Orange Chicken I've ever had. The one saving grace was the hot and sour soup which was just the right amount of spicy and sour with a generous portion of chicken and tofu. After this experience I will not be a returning customer, but if you are stuck in a hotel for business and have a craving for Chinese, there are surprisingly worse places you could choose. read more

We usually get a fried rice, lo mein and one beef dish. HUGE servings of food for the price. We get 3 things and it feeds our family of 5 and we have leftovers. I highly recommend their orange chicken or sweet & sour dishes, but I have been happy with ALL food from this delicious, family-owned restaurant. Hubby and I and our daughter walked in to Jade Too one evening last summer. Outside temperature was 95 degrees. Temperature inside Jade Too: 94 degrees. I won't deduct stars for an equipment malfunction clearly out of their control, but I wanted to die nonetheless. For starters, even though there are four small tables in the restaurant, it's clearly meant for takeout only- water and other beverages are only available in cans or plastic bottles and only plastic utensils for use. Your food is served in the takeout containers, with Styrofoam plates. For that I would deduct a half star, but I'll let it go. We ordered our food and sat down to wait. It took about three minutes to get our cream cheese won tons, and while they're not the best I've had, they were very fresh (though bland) and the sweet and sour sauce served with them was very good. It took about eight more minutes to get our entrees. I'm not mentioning the times to split hairs, rather to point out that our food was cooked to order, and arrived very fresh. Hubby got the chicken sub gum chow mein- his "usual" at Chinese restaurants. I ordered the shrimp with garlic sauce and my daughter had the beef fried rice. The food came out piping hot. My shrimp was advertised on the menu as a spicy dish, but I had low expectations based on every other Chinese takeout I've ordered from in the Twin Cities. To my pleasant surprise, the dish was very spicy, and the best shrimp with garlic sauce I've had in 20 years! The shrimp was cooked perfectly- tender, not at all rubbery- and there was a good amount of shrimp in the container. Excellent dish, but a little heavy on the water chestnuts. I asked my husband about his sub gum, and I got an "It's all right..." which is about the only compliment he can muster unless he's laying down $200 for a steak in Minneapolis. I thought it was better than "all right" - the chicken was fresh carved and the vegetables fresh and still crunchy. My daughter reports her fried rice was "delicious and flavorful." Don't bother eating in. It's priced consistent with other Chinese takeouts, but the quality is far better than the competition. In subsequent visits, I've had the eggrolls and hot and sour soup, both are excellent. I especially loved the hot mustard served with the eggrolls. It wasn't the usual packets, but a condiment cup of the greatest sinus clearing mustard I've ever tasted. Go easy...it's got punch! read more

I called the delivery driver and he was very gracious and apologetic and told me he would talk to his supervisor ASAP and get it straightened out. He called me back and said they would credit me a soup on my next order. My next order? Why would I order from somewhere that has metal in their soup. Then he said they would refund my soup. Tart, overpowering sauce on both. 1 Star Kung Pao chick...been eating this for 40 years and it's my test of how good a place is. abysmal! They actually used ground meat -small kernels of a tasteless meat. I mean WTF - ground chicken w lots of peanuts, celery, and not much else in a sauce that tasted like soy w corn starch. It's possible to judge the quality of a Chinese restaurant by the hot and sour soup. By that yardstick, Jade Too leaves a lot to be desired; and by extension, in more than just the soup department. Muddled flavors, strange flattened meat, and lackluster prep of the ingredients- all combine to situate Jade Too firmly within the average level of its nearest competitors. In that group though, I do give the restaurant props for a fast delivery and decent dumplings. All said, if you're looking to fulfill a "oh my god. I don't care what I eat but I'm not definitely not cooking tonight" craving for the classics of American-Chinese cuisine, and these guys are close to you, you won't be disappointed by how fast you get your fix.
