Everything was cooked well and the variety of the set menu was good. A lot of the dishes you can choose between having it steamed/sauteed or fried which is nice. The amount of seafood in the set menu was really good too. We had walleye, lobster, shrimp, squid, clams and oysters. My favorite dishes ended up being the tofu ones which they had a lot of options for as well. It ends with a nice bowl of sweet coconut, tapioca and taro soup. Even though we ordered the set menu for 8, they brought out enough bowls for the starter soup and the dessert for 13 which was nice. Service was pretty good. Classic Chinese style :)

The best part about this dish is that there's no bones either (unlike some of the other pork dishes). The beef chow fun is what I believe the best beef chow fun in MN. It's so freaking good I think you just have to try it for yourself. Another classic starter dish I got was the seafood tofu soup. Hot, thick seafood soup with tofu is refreshing to start with, and when you top it off with a dash of white pepper it gets even better. The fried oysters are a recent addition to my favorites; cripsy without too much fishiness/oceanic flavor, and also very meaty. The batter and salt/pepper onion flavoring is also very strong and pairs well with the oysters. And lastly I usually get some sort of vegetable. This time around I got the yu choi in garlic sauce, which was clean and just tender enough to add a nice bite of fresh veggie to our meal. I would also recommend the achoy or chinese brocolli if you're into that as well. They also give you a free dessert of what I think is taro tapicoa soup? Either way it's a nice sweet treat to end the meal on.

Lastly, the sesame chicken had great portion control and wasn't soaked in sauce yet some of the chicken pieces were questionable mixed with both dark and light meat. The cherry on top was that there were 15 flying tiny bugs similar to fleas that would swarm my food. This made me question the hygiene of the entire spot. All of this was such a turnoff to me. I think the tea house is now more of a takeout spot. Bummer!!

The food itself was mediocre at best--and honestly, some of it was just bad. Then came the bill: over $75 plus tip for three people, with two lunch specials and three drinks. For what we received, the price was absolutely ridiculous. For me, this was a hard pass. The food wasn't worth the money, the service wasn't impressive, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Don't waste your time, and especially don't waste your money.
