I love their all there food. Only thing is if you don't like super hot and sour soup don't get it. It is very spicy hot and is hard to eat unless you have lots of water or something to drink. Everything else has a great taste. I love there Mei fun. read more

Not bad, but not the greatest. I ordered the Szechuan beef lunch combo (comes with fried rice and an egg roll) and hot and sour soup through Door Dash. The soup was neither hot nor sour and very oily. The egg role was really small but not bad, pretty average. The Szechuan beef was fine but not spicy like I was expecting. I will say, the lunch combo portion size was HUGE for the price. Huge. So huge it was spilling out of the container when I took it out of the bag. Overall it was nothing to rave about but I didn't have a particularly bad experience either. It was delivery and arrived on time and hot. read more

We love Ming's Garden, however in our last order we received a bit of metal in our chicken and cashews combo special. We have never had this happen before. It was a very thin piece, but it was disheartening to find something in your food that wasn't supposed to be there. read more

The food is not very good, the orange chicken was literally like the Costco orange chicken that you buy frozen and the sauce on it was weird. Cardboard-y texture. The four seasons had like one shrimp in it and two pieces of beef which tasted not like beef. Barely any meat and the sauce covering the entire thing was slimy. I liked the rice and one time I got an egg roll that was okay. The service is not the best, they aren't super friendly. Kinda like you're an inconvenience to them every time you walk in. read more

We get the sweet & sour chicken; the red sauce is great & the chicken is in crispy breaded white meat pieces delicious, egg foo young, lo mein, wontons & the fried cheese potato rounds are amazing & crispy! the chicken fried rice has lots of onions which we love & the chicken is yummy. fast delivery & so our food is always hot. i love the mushrooms in the veggie lo mein as not every restaurant includes them in that. generous portions for everything too whether it's size small or large or regular.. honestly the best chinese food i've had ever! im happy it's conveniently placed on white bear ave. read more

on 9-12-23: I placed an order for shrimp fried rice and chicken wings. When I opened the bag there was a strong order of (what smelled like) gasoline. I have never ordered from Ming's Garden, so I wondered if they used a cooking oil, I was not familiar with. I then opened the smaller bag that enclosed the wings . The odor was also strong . I decided to take a bite of the wings that actually looked pretty good. However, the taste of the wings was oily tasting. I had to throw them away - was concerned about getting sick. The wings were also undercooked under the fried skin. The shrimp fried rice consisted of only rice and onions which is something no Chinese Restaurant would serve. I've eaten in Chinese Restaurants all over the country and , to me, this was the worse. read more

First thing about this place. Order for pickup. DO NOT get the delivery. We live less than a mile away. We've tried to get delivery on several occasions. Every time it took over an hour. One time we had waited two hours and still no food!!! DO NOT get the delivery. Ok, so you're going to pick your food up (eating in is not an option - this is a to-go place one way or another). You call to order.... unfortunately, they do not speak english very well. Not knocking the people, they are very nice. It's just that when you are primarily a to-go joint, and your only interaction with customers is over the phone, it pays to have someone who can communicate clearly taking the orders. You waste less time on the phone, can answer more call, and have more accurate orders so people don't get upset. Anyway, the food is generally average for take out chinese. There are a couple bright spots though. The spicy beef is very, very good if you like a dish with some pop to it. The triple delight is also a tasty and mild dish. The chicken chow mein is not at all like traditional chow mein. It's almost like a salad... chicken on top of shredded vegetables with very little sauce. It's interesting and pretty good as long as you know what to expect (like don't get disappointed it's not traditional chow mein). The prices are a little, and just a little, bit more than they should be. Because it's so close, and because the food is almost always ready within 10 minutes of calling, we keep going back and enjoy the place. Just MAKE SURE you pick the food up and drive out there as soon as you hang up. Once your food is ready, it sits in a paper bag on the counter. They don't have warmers or heat lamps or anything keeping it heated while you wait. You will be disappointed with a bunch of cold food if you wait too long to pickup, or if you are a bonehead and didn't listen to me and get it delivered :-) read more

We love this place and the food is delicious, but we were disappointed tonight because I ordered a large General tsos chicken with broccoli added and no spiciness to it. It ended up spicy and had no broccoli. Wtf mate? I told them I wanted chicken fried rice with all of our three meals. I received a large one for no reason and they added a white rice to it. This should have been simple. We wanted cream cheese wontons and even after she repeated my order, they didn't end up in the bag. We also ordered hot and spicy chicken and my wife was upset because there was very little chicken in it and was mostly onion. Otherwise, the food was good, but I really really hate when my order isn't prepared correctly. We normally don't have problems, but there was a different girl working the counter. Please have someone answer the phones who listens and knows the menu! I didn't want to write this review because I don't like writing bad reviews for restaurants I like, but they didn't have an email to write them about these issues on their website. read more

I gave this place 2 stars because my food was awful, but my husband's was good. The portions were fine and the food was ready for pick up lightening fast. My husband had a combo- moo goo gai pan with chicken, fried rice, and an egg roll. I'm a vegetarian and ordered vegetarian chow mein. If you enjoy an amazing amount of stringy onions with a few sundry pieces of other veggies in a flavorless brown sauce with over cooked rice then you would love this chow mein! I've made better chow mein at home without a recipe. They did include chow mein noodles, but they didn't help. My advice to any other vegetarian diners is look elsewhere. read more

Can't really give the food a review since when calling in, they were already giving bad service. This restaurant is close by my house so I decided to give them a try since I was in the mood for chinese and the review seems to be good. Asked them about their broccoli with garlic dish if the broccoli was American broccoli or Chinese broccoli (yes, there is a difference) and in doing so, was given the answer "it's broccoli!" in the sense as if I didn't know what I was talking about. Delicious dumplings and fried rice. Standard Chinese take out joint. There is no formal dining area. So don't order dine in. Always do take out or delivery. I'd give it a 3 for being average, but that extra star is for me being willing to drive however many miles just to eat their dumplings. I don't live on the east side anymore, but their delivery driver, if he still works there, exceptional little old man, always gave me great customer service for the years I did live close. read more

Just moved close to the area and needed a new Chinese restaurant to order from... got their menu in the mail and it looked good, never knew they were there. So I tried it, we ordered a lot, fried rice, egg foo young, sweet n sour chicken, fried fish, lo main and fried cheese potatoes... they said delivery would be like 45 minutes but they were here in 20 minutes. My nephew wanted Orange Chicken and I couldn't find any around the area, but here. This is a small mom and pop typical Chinese restaurant where you can tell the kids come to work with them. It's not a fine dining restaurant and they probably have low rent, but my order was made and ready for pick up in 15 minutes! I ordered four orders of chicken wings (they come whole), two orange chicken, and two chicken lo mein, and white rice. It was so delicious and everyone enjoyed it. I love, love their white rice! It doesn't taste like most Chinese restaurants- minute rice where it's all mushed. Try it and you will see why! I love this little takeout spot! I order the vegetable mai fun noodles and they are delicious! I also order the Buddha's Delight which is a tasty vegetable dish. We get the egg rolls too - order at least 4 they are smaller but so good! We can feed like 4 people, hungry people, off 3 entrees and still have food leftover. The price is so reasonable as well. Please someone beat me over the head for trying this place out! Yes the food tasted OK but it's full of MSG. My coworker and I experienced a migraine/headache within minutes of finishing our meal. The veggies are cooked to perfection but the MSG is so very NOT forgivable. Please have a warning.... The meat was not cut consistently for even cooking. It could have better service because service is what makes or break a business. Someone needs to tell these guys.... sheesh read more
