Sea Salt is a Minneapolis treasure! We arrived a little after 5:30, and shockingly there wasn't much of a line (we typically plan to grab a beer and wait 20+ minutes before ordering). I ordered the fish tacos (no onions or cilantro for me personally), and was impressed by the two huge pieces of fish you get with the order! Fried to perfection too. This was the perfect spot to cap off the week and enjoy Minneapolis Parks with friends! FYI - This is a fast casual, outdoor dining experience with an abundance of seating. Family friendly, pet friendly. The menu is mostly fish forward, but check online for the list of daily specials.
Really quite good! Clam fries, French fries, and scallop tacos. All really good. I had the shrimp and grits with bacon and cheese.
Good atmosphere! Beautiful place to enjoy the nature! Have a few food options and also Dairy Queen at walking distance. The portion of the food is good! Prices are a bit high especially basket of fries. I got a catfish poboy, I wish they made a special sauce to put in the poboy, it lacked flavor, and catfish could had some seasoning as well. Fish basket was really good! Service was good! I would definitely come back again, enjoy the weather, go on a walk, have good conversations
There is a good chance that you will love this place. Sea Salt Eatery is in the middle of Minnehaha Regional Park, not really visible from the road but within earshot of Minnehaha Falls. Most (but not all) of the seating is outdoors, so there is a cool, unique ambiance. You order and pay at the counter, and they bring your food out later. The food is almost entirely seafood. If you are completely uninterested in seafood, this is not the place for you. You don't see that many restaurants in the Twin Cities with such a seafood-forward menu, so if that interests you, you'll likely be very satisfied with the selection. There are a lot of options for seafood tacos, seafood baskets, and seafood sandwiches. There is also a daily specials menu with many unique options. I came with a group and everyone liked their food quite a bit; the most praised choices were the ahi tacos and the calimari tacos. I really liked my Cajun Ahi Po' Boy as well. All things considered, I think the prices are good for this food. Beer is something I don't understand, but I can tell that they have an interesting selection of beers that I've never heard of. I mean I've REALLY never heard of them. But like in a good way. Important note: they are only open for the warm months, approximately April to October. Location & parking note: There are paid parking lots scattered around the park. The closest one to Sea Salt is just east of the roundabout on Godfrey Parkway. If you're searching on foot, go to the top of the Falls, or the part of the Creek that is just about to go over the Falls. It's the big building near there.
Great food in a gorgeous setting! We ordered a few different dishes, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. One of the best parts was being able to sit outside and enjoy our meal while listening to the sound of the falls. It made for such a relaxing and memorable experience. If you're visiting the area, this is definitely a must-visit spot for both the food and the beautiful atmosphere.
What a nice place to enjoy your lunch/snacks or whatever. Located right in the heart of Minnehaha Falls park. The seafood selection was extensive. Offering from grill to fried to steam seafoods dishes. The vast outdoor seating areas was fantastic. We had crab cakes basket and it comes with coleslaw, sweet corn mixed with red onions. The Leche de Ceviche was good as well. Mixed shrimp, fish and calamari mixed in milky limes sauce. Served with some plantain and tostadas. Very relaxing venue. Order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table.
For the amount of time waiting in line, the food was not worth it, but it was busy. It was about 2-3 hours of waiting in line and to be served. There is enough seating unless it starts raining. They bring out your food by looking at a table number they hand you, but the staff has to look around to find you - and this can be tricky because there are multiple areas. I like that all the fried food is served with a melon, and the fried shrimp was the best out of everything.
If you are looking for the absolute TOP TIER place to go in the summer, it's sea salt! There are paid parking lots, but there is also free parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Sea salt is an absolute gem of a place and provides a delicious seafood meal, with the most beautiful backdrop! The staff here was friendly and kept the line moving quickly! If you are only in the mood for beer or ice cream, there is a separate line for that! The food: my boyfriend got the catfish po'boy and said he really liked it but had wished there was more hot sauce on it. I got the crawfish po'boy and have no notes! The crawfish is perfectly seasoned and is so tender! It's also a generous portion of crawfish! The fries were standard and I don't think we would spend the money on them again. There is tons of seating but we decided to do our own set up away from the crowd. There was live music that afternoon and it absolutely added to the ambiance! When we were done we walked the trails. On the side of the falls, the trail with wind through and there will also be a platform to walk on until you get to the Mississippi River. On the other side, the trail is fairly flat until you get the the Mississippi. Depending on your walking speed, it takes about 20ish minutes to get down to the river. There are also plenty of other trails to walk in this gorgeous park! This is an absolute Minnesota summer stop!
Want to beat the line for a beer at Sea Salt, try their "newish" sandwich and beer counter. Super smart adding this to the eatery. On the weekend this place can easily have a line stretching around the side with people waiting to order a beer and food. However there never really seems to be a line for their delicious sandwiches and beer in the bigger covered seating area. And believe me the sandwich's are very good.
This place rarely disappoints, and this visit was no exception. From the moment I walked in, the energy felt welcoming and relaxed. The service was genuinely great. I especially appreciate when the person taking your order affirms your choice with a confident "Great choice," because honestly, it just makes the whole experience feel a little more personal and fun. I went with the scallop tacos, which were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor, and paired them with the Yacht Rock beer. The combination was spot‑on. The tacos were fresh and satisfying, and the beer had that smooth, easygoing vibe that matched the meal perfectly. Every time I come here, I'm reminded why it's one of my go‑to spots.

Hidden is the sandwich place. Can have long lines during peak dining times, but goes quick. Outdoor and indoor dining amenities.
If you visit the Falls, this eatery is a must. It's an outdoor eatery in a park with plenty of picnic tables inside and some indoor. A nice variety of sea food like shrimp or catfish poor boys; the best calamari and great sides, like black beans and rice. The French fries are my favorite every time. The lines can be long to order your food for delivery to your table, but the service is fast and easy.

Sea Salt is such a cute place to eat in the park! I live in the neighborhood. I have a few tips for you: if you are going to park nearest free parking is in the pet supplies plus lot off hiawatha or anywhere in the surrounding neighborhood. I have tried most of the menu and my favorite is the grilled catfish Po' boy and the soft shell crab sandwich (a special but they have it often). The seasoning and flavor combo in both of these are just spot on and super yummy. I also like the red beans and andouille sausage. The portion sizes are pretty big. The hubby's favorites are the crawfish poboy and ahi tuna burger (a special but they have it often). Wait in line to order (if you go in off peak times its MUCH shorter) and the staff brings the food out to you. The tacos have been hit or miss for me and I prefer mac's fish and chip for fried fish. A large beer selection, ice cream and sandwiches. A great experience. Highly recommend! read more

Friendly service, great prices ($6) a beer, and the ambiance by the falls cant be beat. Their house seltzer drfinitely left much to be desired though, so I'd recommend going with a more established beer or seltzer option. Great summer hang! read more

The fried fish and fried shrimp are incredible. Loved the fries. Fast service, and right next to the Falls. Will be back for sure! We did not experience the long wait that others mentioned. We were there on a September Sunday, at about 2 pm. My advice? Go when there's a home game! The Vikings were busy handing the Bengals a big loss, so the park in general wasn't too crowded for such a gorgeous afternoon. We literally had zero wait in line, and the food was out to us in about 7 minutes. My only price complaint is for the fries. I understand its a huge upsell, and the appetizer platter of them is HUGE, but $10 for plain fries is a bit much. Mostly, because I couldn't see another way to order them. But they were scrumptious. They could easily feed 4 people who ordered fish sandwiches, etc. as well. Wonderful experience. read more
One of my favorite places to eat every summer for seafood. I almost missed it this year but got in on the last day. This place is at Minnehaha Falls so the area can get busy. Since this was the last day open this summer, it was extremely busy! Got there a couple hours before close and they ran out of some stuff i really wanted. Still lots of good items to eat though. They have one of my favorite catfish sandwiches and thats the mean reason I go. I usually mix it up by grabbing a few other things that I may not have had before. I've never had anything I dont like. Will say it can get spendy, but for a fun summer day, eating seafood on a patio and a waterfall right there, cant do any better. read more

On a recent visit to St. Paul, Minnesota, we enjoyed a beautiful afternoon at Minnehaha Park and the waterfall. Right next to the falls is a cute, open-air restaurant called Se Salt (no a). The day we went the lines were short, though I heard they can get quite long. You order at the counter from an extensive list of chilled, fried, and smoked seafood. We ordered fried clam strips, calamari, fried shrimp, a soft-shell crab sandwich, fish tacos, and oysters. When the food was delivered to our table, everything was perfectly served. The hot food was hot, and the cold was chilled. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and we all sampled a bit of everything. They also have a good selection of beverages to accommodate all tastes. I wish they were closer because we would be regulars. Until then, we will look forward to our next visit. read more
Obsessed with the fried fish here! The batter was perfectly crispy, golden, and light with no heavy oiliness. Probably the best fried fish I've had to date! We also tried the walnut burger and Cajun ahi po'boy. Both were tasty and the ahi wasn't fishy at all but I don't think I'll order them next time. The standout was definitely the fried fish and I'd definitely come back to order this again! The line got pretty long during Friday lunch and moved slowly so there was a bit of a wait. When there's a line, that's always a good sign!! Located steps away from Minnehaha Falls. Enjoy a nice walk around this beautiful regional park before eating. Food and Drinks: Clam Fries $16 Fried Oysters $19 Bakery of Fries $10 Shrimp Po Boy $17 Wine & Beer $22 My favorite were the clam fries. Rarely on menus so whenever I see them it's an automatic order and these DO NOT disappoint!! Fried and seasoned to perfection while still tasting the clams as if they were just picked from the ocean. Oysters and the Po Boy were just as amazing. Tartar sauce was on point but the coleslaw lacked seasoning. Overall, it's a must go to restaurant during the summertime. Make it there fast before they close for the winter. read more
It's fun to have a spot like this in the middle of a beautiful park. It's made for lots of people, and it is always busy, but do plan to wait in line to order and then to receive your food. Ah, Sea Salt. So consistent and filling!!! The family went there today on a Monday at 4 pm. The temp was through the roof with a heat advisory in the upper 90's. Hot for sure! The good news was there was plenty of parking, and no line. We ordered red beans and rice, calamari, and our old standby, the crawfish poboy. The wife who isn't a seafood fan went to the sandwich line. We also got a beer, water (free on the main cafe side), and a lemonade for the kiddo. As you can see from the picture, they do not skimp on portion sizes. We had plenty of left overs to take home. Yummo. Despite the heat. Great value and portion size of you are craving some quality seafood. Don't forget the hot sauce bottles and the Sebastian Joe's ice cream! read more
If you like seafood and sitting outdoors, this is the place for you! No AC, so be prepared! They have wine and beer that pairs up nicely with your food. You order at the counter and they give you a number so they can deliver your food table-side! There's an ice cream shop outside. Seafood with a view and your pup! Such a cool spot--right next to Minnehaha Falls, so you get to enjoy the sound of the water while you eat. The calamari was crispy and delicious, and the crab cake was solid too. Bonus points for being an amazing place to bring pets--my pup loved it! Only wish the tables were a bit cleaner, but overall the food and atmosphere made it totally worth it. Will definitely be back! read more

Unbelievable food, going to return. A little higher on the price scale but I will return here then walk the falls. The amount makes up for the price, the quality of the ingredients are great, and the atmosphere whether inside or outside is just beautiful especially on a rainy day! Good value, well-seasoned, and well-prepared seafood options. And Sea Salt Eatery is right at the corner of the park so you can eat outside on nice days and dog watch. Service is friendly and relaxed. The food takes a little while to come out but what's the rush? When the food comes out, it is fresh and piping hot. The fish tacos were a lot bigger than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. The fish was flavorful and lightly fried so it wasn't greasy at all. I liked adding the hot sauce that Sea Salt had on standby which elevated the fish tacos. My partner also really liked the Ahi Tuna burger which was juicy and super tasty. The calamari was a nice appetizer and a great portion, pretty standard tasting. For the price, Sea Salt is worth every penny. No need to pay a fortune just for good tasting seafood. I also appreciate that Sea Salt doesn't hike their prices just because they're in a good location. If you're already in the park, Sea Salt is a great convenient option. read more
Visited 7/20/25. Sea Salt consistently hits the spot. Be prepared to wait, as lines get really long in the summer, but they're a worthy summer staple. The fish tacos are phenomenal and fresh tasting, especially for us being in MN. Being next to Minnehaha falls makes the experience even more fun. Do yourself a favor and put this on your Summer 2026 bucket list. read more
My happy place! When this place opens, it means spring has sprung. I love water, sun, outdoor eating that's away from car emissions, fresh oysters, and cold red wine. How'd they know?! It's actually my fave place to have fresh oysters. They're the best here! The calamari, crab cakes, and fish are great. They do seafood pretty well considering it's a bistro style spot. The po' boy sandwiches and other food is good too. They have great ice cream and I'm not even into ice cream like that. The tap beer is good. They usually have a beer truck set up just outside. They do have limited indoor seating and a neighboring covered dining room. This area is always busy of course. Minnehaha Falls are a major attraction. I love being able to get light exercise on the fly walking, climbing stairs, or riding surreys. Great family outing. There's a playground for the littles. read more
I've visited Minnehaha falls so many times and had never tried this restaurant before. And dang have I been missing out! Everything we tried was 10/10 and very reasonably priced for seafood. It did take us like 45 minutes to get our food but it was a beautiful day out so we didn't mind waiting. All the seating is outside so definitely dress for the weather but it feels like you're eating in a park pretty much, cuz you are! read more
This place is delicious and everything they serve is yummy. The food always comes out hot and fresh and no matter what you order it's delicious. I enjoy the fish & shrimp po-boys. I also enjoy the fish basket . The line gets pretty long for lunch but we didn't have to wait too long this time and didn't mind having to wait. They have seating inside and outdoors; I love sitting outside if it's not too hot and buggy out. read more

No I don't believe so for the restaurant but maybe for Minneapolis parks. Never tried connecting however.
