This was a great find, thanks to some coworkers who raved about the place! We started off with the Scotch Eggs and we're not disappointed. I then had the Dick Titus Commercial and loved it. My wife had the fish and chips and loved everything except the broccoli slaw. The restaurant is in a historic building that really gives it an old world feel. The service was very good and the pricing is in-line for this type of place. My only disappointment was that we asked that the Scotch Eggs come out first and everything thing came out at the same time, so it seemed a little rushed. read more

The entire restaurant and bar are beautifully decorated with antiques, it's so funny to look around at all the details in the decor. I would go here for the beer. It was fresh and well poured. The food was OK but not on the great side of things. The seating is high and may be difficult for those who have mobility issues. I went with a friend who had a hard time getting in and out of the booth. The tables that I saw also had higher chairs. There might be some regular seating on the bar side but I didn't check that. This experience took a fun day and shot it in the ass. Girlfriend chose it because she wanted something different to eat. That was the understatement of the month. Upon arrival, there were only a few patrons. Per the sign, we sat ourselves and a waiter came over, took our drinks order and told us our server would be by shortly. The booth behind us was still covered in the debris of its last occupants...a harbinger of our experience. We waited...waited...waited...waited. In the meantime, the bar manager in the gray sweater swanned about and nothing got done, unless the wait-staff dressed in black did it. Our drinks arrived. More waiting...waiting...waiting... Finally, the server showed up. She was pleasant as she took our order. My date asked for Bangers-n-Mash, I went with the Fish-n-Chips and a side salad. More waiting...waiting...waiting... My salad showed up. I devoured it shamelessly in front of my date, who was into her 2nd Heineken. More waiting...waiting...waiting... Food began appearing in earnest, going to patrons who'd been sitting comfortably when we arrived. GEEZUS! Our food finally arrived and....it was horrible. My geriatric cod had an elasticity that could have doubled as a bungee cord; the dense lead-like batter was thick, and seemed to be doubling as the cods bullet proof vest. My Chips had been re-fried at least twice. They were edible with half a bottle of vinegar. The Bangers-n-Mash came with Bangers that seemed barely cooked, and indeed, were pink on the inside. Neither my date or I are fans of Medium Pork. As you can see, the Mash part of the meal was noticeably missing. The Smashed Peas were inedible - GROSS. I usually love em. We took the bangers home and cooked them up with some eggs and they were quite good when they were COOKED. Neither my date or I could understand the rave reviews given the experience that we, and all the patrons seemed to be having while we were there. The food and ambiance were great! The service was SLOWWWWWWWWWW. It took 20 minutes after we were seated for our server to ask us what we wanted to drink. We finally got our drinks after having been there for about 30 minutes. Then we ordered ( we would have ordered five min after we got there and or when we ordered drinks but we're not given the opportunity) and saw that people who were seated 20 minutes after us were getting their appetizers so that wasn't cool. We got our food just shy of an hour after being seated. Our waiter did not stop to check in on us but he did do sort of a drive by to ask if my husband wanted malt vinegar for his fish and chips, my husband said yes and then the server proceeded to go bus two tables and go behind the bar and pour a glass of wine - no malt vinegar ever came. We finished eating flagged our server down (my husband stood up and walked around the restaurant to go get him) - we needed to get going to pick my child up from school and were now pretty under the gun time wise. We paid and got out of there an hour and 15 minutes after we arrived (probably longer but I'm trying to be fair). The server and the person running good were pleasant and kind the server just basically slow, forgetful and unavailable. There were about 20 patrons in the establishment when we ordered our food - more came after that. read more

Heard such great reviews about this place in the short amount of time it's been open but my friend and I were both disappointed. Many items looked good but I finally settled on the cheesesteak sandwich with pub fries. Also ordered a cup of the seafood soup to start. Had to send the soup back twice after the initial drop off. The soup was cold which soup should never be. Each time it was brought back it was the same. The last time it got slightly warmer but still nowhere near beyond like warm. Pretty disappointing to say the least. It was comped for both my friend and I. She didn't even want hers warmed since we asked for our soups before the meal and we waited and waited and the soup came within a couple minutes of the entree. The cheesesteak sandwich was tasty but definitely lacking in the filling. The innards didn't go to the end of the sandwich and was very slim to none. It was mostly bread. The sandwich couldn't even be picked up due to how sloppy and soggy the bottom was. The luv fries were hit and miss. Some were cooked all were under cooked. I may try this place again after the initial grand opening kinks are worked out. It's a beautiful place. Would be nice for the service and food to match the atmosphere. read more

There's a lot of good to be said about this place. For starters, I have always been served a real drink here. For example, I had a margarita at the La Casita and it was honestly terrible. Pre-mixed, and very sugary. We had to ask for another shot of tequila to even it out some. Now, comparing that Margarita at a "Mexican" restaurant, to this Irish Pub, it's the real deal. Best Margarita I've had in town. The bartender who made it, his name is Adam. If you're looking for a good margarita in town, come here. Also, they take great pride in their Whiskeys. I ordered a Whiskey Sour and little did I know they put real egg white in it, and shook it for about 3 minutes to make this amazing, light, soft, foam layer on top. Garnished nicely as always. Moving onto the food- I've never been served something less than great here. Their Reuben Wontons for an app are the most popular, within very good reason- they're to die for. I can say the same about their mussels. If you're a seafood pasta kind of person, I definitely recommend their seafood linguine. Perfection in my eyes. Everything is so good that I'll be back many more times to try everything on the menu. Outstanding and friendly service, bomb drinks, and great food. I absolutely love this place. This place is absolutely the best. We brought 25 people in with limited lead time and they had the best customer service. Sarah was an absolute saint and handled us with grace and dignity. Grilled chicken breast sandwich on a soft pretzel bun with bacon, avocado, and more was delicious with a side of beer battered fries that had a sprinkling of some salty/sweet spice with a dipping sauce that held a kick of horseradish. My beloved and I decided to give St. Cloud's newest restaurant and bar a try. The luck of the Irish was with us. The restaurant wasn't too busy, and the service was fast. The Olde Brick House is pretty amazing to take in. The work they did on the inside, from the wood restoration on the three historic bars, to the fabric and color choices make this a very warm and comfortable environment. You want to stay and spend time with friends. The stained glass panels are a nice touch, and there's bric-a-brac sitting atop the bars. One section of booths is enclosed in a wooden, bar-like structure that's quite quaint. Irish music was playing softly in the background (not too loud). Our server was just the right level of attentive and helpful. We ordered a Classic Reuben and the Shepherd's Pie. The pie was served in a small crock. It was filled with ground chuck, carrots, gravy, peas, and topped with whipped mashed potatoes that had been slightly crisped in the oven. While good, it was a bit bland. We had wanted to try some traditional fare. We probably wouldn't order it a second time. The reuben was spectacular, with hearty chunks of real corned beef (just how I like them), and a fair amount of sauerkraut and thousand island dressing on dark rye bread. It was messy, but oh-so-good. It was served with some seasoned wedge-style fries and a cup of the restaurant's dubliner sauce. We ordered water, which was served in a funky looking decanter that really fit the look and the feel of the place. Be sure to take time to go upstairs to check out the bar and the private rooms (The Yeats and The Library) which are available for rent. The place really is a treat for the eyes. We would give the restaurant four thumbs up, and hope to return to try some other items off the menu. They have a pretty extensive menu, with traditional Irish dishes, hamburgers, sandwiches, and more. They also serve breakfast. read more

An Irish Pub? In St. Cloud? No. Way. I was practically giddy when coming into Olde Brick House for the first time. It was Sunday around the lunch hour, and our hostess expressed that she was relieved that it wasn't too packed because they've been seeing a lot of traffic come through the new establishment. We were given the choice of breakfast or lunch since they serve breakfast from 9am-1pm on Saturdays & Sundays. I wanted to get a taste of their full menu, so we chose lunch, and were escorted up to the second floor. Keep in mind: Olde Brick House does NOT accept reservations so plan accordingly depending on what day of the week you want to come in. I applaud those that put so much time & effort into building Olde Brick House...the fixtures & details of the place are stunning. I felt like I had been transported to a different location/time period. Our waitress was a sweetheart and the service here is fantastic. The water "pitcher" that is given to each table isn't ideal for pouring your own water (it easily spills) because of its shape, so be careful when you're pouring into the glasses. My date ordered a beer and I ordered the Union 1707 signature cocktail ($9). Pay close attention: if you are NOT a fan of bitters, I would suggest not to get this cocktail along with some of the other cocktails on the menu. It hit me like a wall, and our waitress was gracious enough to get some Sprite mixed into the drink. Their bitters take "day drinking" to a whole other level. The food took longer than I would've liked to come out, but my fish & chips ($13.50) were worth the wait. My date got an American Cheeseburger ($10). Trust me when I say they have quite the menu, so whether you're looking for traditional Irish or American fare, you won't feel limited when making a choice. The fish was fresh (you get two pieces of fish), and the batter on the fish was tasty. The tartar sauce was a bit sweet for me. The pub chips are POTATO WEDGES which you don't find often at restaurants, so I was delighted to try them. I wish they would give you a more generous portion of the pub chips since they are absolutely delicious. They come with a SEASONED SOUR CREAM that will leave you wanting more. My date had no complaints with his american cheeseburger, so we both left Olde Brick House with full bellies. P.S.- I loved the bartender's attire...it added even more charm to the place. Professional and fitting with the rest of the restaurant. & yes, they do have a Happy Hour folks! Refer to the photos I took to get additional details on that! My absolute favorite restaurant!! I love this place so very much!! The salads are great starters, love the bruschetta and the meatloaf, oh and the calamari. Then the incredible stew, the fish and chips, all the classic Irish meals that the owners personally went to Ireland and selected to bring back- SO DELICIOUS!!! My wife and I have dined here many times over the years. Always good and appropriately priced. Today we had Seafood Chowder and dinner salads. Our server was Ann. Pleasant and attentive (we've had her as our server before). Last visit I had Seafood Linguine, Gin Martini. Awesome! Tim was our server and he has served us several times in the past. Hamburgers super good too. If you want a nice dining experience this is your place. Don't be in a hurry this is not a fast food restaurant. 100% recommend. Bring some quarters to feed the street meters which are monitored by the City of St. Cloud (I've been told). Even restaurant employees have to pay while they are working. 4 quarters gets one hour.
