I'm not sure what happened to this place. Given it's been a while since I've been hear, but I remember the food being pretty good and one of the better sushi places in Long Beach. We came in on a Friday night, and the place was only half full, which is typically not a great sign. We ordered octopus, tuna and yellowtail cut rolls along with a bowl of ramen. The ramen was a step up from Top Ramen from the grocery store. The octopus was so chewy, it was barely edible. And the tuna and yellowtail tasted old. It was difficult to finish. The prices are rather reasonable, which would be the only draw here if you like stale food. read more

The quality of the fish here is top notch! We found this place trying to find a sushi spot with the boat platter. Unfortunately, we didn't see the boat platter on the menu it was an outdated picture but we do not regret finding this place. It's in between a motel and Mexican restaurant so its easy to miss driving by. I definitely recommend the salmon rolls and the Yellow tail jalapeño sashimi. The sashimi was topped with an amazing sauce. We sat at the bar and It was nice to be able to watch the chef do his work. This place has a large sushi bar area, an awesome newspaper menu, enough room, and parking space. read more

Perfect for college students. Happy hour times are our best friend at this place. Their Sexy Girl rolls, Philly hand rolls, seaweed salad, the miso soup, there's so many different rolls that people and I have tried while being here. It's so delicious. Their coffee mochi is also awesome. The servers and chefs are always so nice to us and they will remember you if you come in as a regular :) The vibe in the resturant is either busy or quiet and nice, either way, it's a good vibe and even when its busy, you have your own table and space so it's nice. I highly recommend if you're right next door to CSULB. Parking is always easy too read more

The Sushi here was okay. Nothing left a lasting impression on me. I'd recommend checking them out during happy hour to give them a try without paying the full cost if it does not meet up your standards. The service wasn't the best but I'm assuming they may have been short staff. read more

I've driven by this place so many times over the years and never got a chance to try it until a week or so ago. (Been meaning to write a review right after but being a part-time nanny kept me busy ) I was craving sushi and I think we drove by here after church? Anyway, parked in the motel parking lot, went in and sat at the bar with my son and my friend's son. (They were so patient with his wild and adventurous personality. Thank you for putting up with us. ) So for those of you who follow me, y'all know I love sushi right? Particularly, salmon, yellowtail, albacore sushi AND Uni! I didn't know where to start but I got my son and I all of those and yes, he ate all of them with me. Then, we had to try the specialty rolls: Crab Company roll was yummy! So was the other special roll with lobster and wrapped in rice paper (I can't remember the name. It wasn't lobster roll...) I couldn't pick but the sushi chef (Bryan?) was super nice and helped us decide. Check out the pics! (Oh yes, I was hungry! So I ordered a bunch!) I also ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna! Can't go wrong there! The shumai was not my fav but my son ate them. They're best at Dim Sum places. The salmon carpaccio was sooooo good! Mmmm! Will come back! Maybe on a date? We came to a have sushi for the first time with my family yesterday. Pip came out and gave us a complementary sashimi/tuna. I kind of thought about it and it looked very suspicious to me. I should've said something, but I didn't. It did not look fresh. My son ended up having most of it. He woke up this morning with fever, bodyaches, and diarrhea. That's the first and last time we step foot in that place. The sushi rolls were good. Poké bowl was good. I just felt like he was trying to get rid of other fish and I should've gone with my gut instinct. Never take complementary fish from anywhere. read more

Yoooooooooooooooo! I dont remember how long i've been getting take out from this place but they never disappoint. Came back here a few days ago and the items that never disappoint in appetizers "green baked mussel, fried squid legs, and the mummy shrimp" For the mediocre appetizers that i feel you can pass on is " calamari, gyoza, chicken karaage and magic mushrooms". As for the rolls I haven't had a single roll from them I didn't like, its very hard to mess up on rolls lol they always taste good my favorites are " Autumn roll w/ shrimp tempura and avocado, Dark knight w fish tempura, jalapeño and avocado, Salmon lover roll w/ cream cheese, Zumba Zumba roll w, blue crab and lynn roll that has shrimp tempura, cream cheese and jalapeño. I always ask for extra chopped jalapeño and they always provide it no charge and put it on top of each of my rolls. The great thing about there rolls too is they don't drown it in eels sauce like alot of restaurants they put too much sauce so it gets soggy when you get home. Oh I almost forgot one of my favorite items is the yellowtail collar when they have it, I did remember once or twice I tried ordering it and it was out if stock but that was a while ago. Ambiance is always lively and friendly, they greet you right away when you enter and greet you farewell when you leave. I will definitely continue to come here when im around the area. read more

Want high quality sushi and a fun ambiance? This is the place to be. Fish is high quality and the restaurant is kitschy and eclectic. Although it's located in the same lot as a slightly sketchy motel, it doesn't affect the restaurant much and if anything, just adds to the overall allure of this place. The service is efficient and friendly and it's super fun to sit at the bar and watch the chefs prepare the huge variety of rolls and sashimi. It's a little on the pricier side, but I would rather spend a bit and have a good experience and not get food poisoning than try to save a bit of cash and end up on my bathroom floor for 24 hours. read more

I've enjoyed their menu for 9+ months, and I'm very pleased to continue going there. The sushi chefs are amazing people, friendly, and have personality. The waiter, Oscar, who works there during the lunch hours, is fantastic, as are the chefs (Sammy & Vit). He knows what I like and brings it to the table without reservation. My daughters frequented this place and led my wife and I to try it out... and we are so happy we did!!! Sushi is always fresh and super tasty. Love the variety and this always helps my wife and I try new items!!! My favorite is the Lynn roll. One of the best sushi rolls I have ever eaten!!! We normally order take out from here and the service is always friendly when calling in... and when we pick up they always have everything ready and make sure we have extra of whatever we need!!! Like I said we do not normally eat in. But when picking up you can feel the positive vibe in the restaurant. Workers are always moving quickly and making sure the customers are taken care of. The sushi chefs are always friend and welcoming when I come in. Highly recommend!!! read more

My go to spot. It's convenient, not too crowded, and close by to my place. Friendly staff. Tons of parking. And you can't watch the game while eating. Food is good and doesn't take long. They also have Bento boxes for dinner, ramen, and in the pic, orange chicken and garlic fried rice. I was pretty surprised how tasty it was. Came here a few weeks ago and still doesn't disappoint. They also give out cupcakes for bday celebrates. Every time I come, there's always someone celebrating their bday. read more

We were looking for a place to celebrate my daughter's CSULB play and she was in the mood for sushi so off to Yelp I went and OHO came up with 4 stars and close to her apartment. I almost missed the entrance when we got there and was surprised to be pulling into an interesting looking motel parking lot and what looked like more of a motel diner. But don't be fooled by the appearance. OHO has a great funky atmosphere with super friendly staff and delicious food. Huge variety of the freshest fish and so many other choices of great teriyaki combinations. This is definitely a place we will be returning to. read more

Love everything about this place! Seating is open along the perimeter or at the sushi bar. Both rolls I got were delicious, and didn't fall apart like some other sushi spots I've been to. Prompt and efficient service and the prices are decent too for the amount of food you get. Parking is shared with a motel, which hasn't been an issue finding a space so far. If you haven't been yet, definitely check this place out! read more

This place is a bit hard to find because the signage isn't as huge as the Mexican restaurant in front of it. It's in the same parking lot as Don's Motel. Let's start with the favorites: - Spicy garlic edamame: 10/10, hands down my favorite spicy garlic edamame. It's the perfect balance of salty, sweet and spicy. - Crispy rice with spicy tuna: 9/10, the rice is so crispyyyy on the outside but moist on the inside and they give a big portion of tuna on top! Definitely eat it with your hands. - Sexy girl roll: perfect crunch on top and sweet mango on top - Yellowtail with jalapeño: ponzu plus jalapeño plus that lil piece of garlic on yellowtail is *chefs kiss* We also had the shrimp tempura hand roll which was really good as well! A little too much spicy Mayo inside but still really bomb. Definitely come for happy hour! read more

The salmon collar came out late but we had already paid the bill but they were kind enough to let us take it home still!!! Our server Petchy was incredible and super helpful too. I was craving sushi and was looking for a place that had Happy Hour. We searched up a few places and came across OHO so we decided to give it a shot. Once we got there we got seated right away (it wasn't busy at all). It was our first time there and we let it be known. We had a few questions, but it seemed like we didn't get much assistance when needed because, I believe, they were short staffed at the time. Every time we had a question we had to wait a while just for our server to come across our table again. We finally understood the menu and how to order then that's when I started seeing more staff on the floor. Our food came out pretty quick and everything tasted good, but none of the rolls stood out except the Crispy Triangles (not sushi) which was my favorite from today's eats. One thing I highly disliked was their women's restroom door does not lock. When I walked back to my table there was an unnoticeable raised tile that I tripped over. The space was very tight, but that's because I had to push a double stroller through the restaurant... so that's not on them. read more

My friend and I went during Happy Hour to save some money, and they honestly had a solid amount of choices on the menu (definitely not near the full amount of choices though) but we did end up getting a few things off of it as well. The food was really good, however I don't know if I'd be willing to pay full price for everything. The service was really good and we were checked in on quite a few times (but not in an annoying way). Friendly staff but ambiance could be better. The seating layout was a bit odd and it felt cramped. Smalls serving sizes as well. Fast service at first, but then it felt like they forgot about me once my food had been served. It took awhile before I could pay the bill. read more

Came in about 45 minutes before closing on a Thursday night and we were promptly seated. We ordered the caterpillar roll, BSC roll, tangerine roll hold the jalapeño and for appetizer we got the gyoza. Green tea came out quickly and the rest as well. I thought their gyoza was better than many places. The rolls were good but nothing to write home about. We went to Sapporo last week and I prefer that place more in terms of parking, pricing, decor and service. read more

My Family and I wanted Sushi. East coast family is visiting, so we wanted to treat their taste for sushi with some good sushi, or what we thought would be good. We arrived shortly after Happy hour, so it was still sort of crowded. The waitress informed us it would be about 10-15 minutes for a table for 3. If you are familiar with this place, there are no seats for the waiting and very, limited standing room. Did I mentioned I walk (a little unstable at times) with a cane? I left my walker in the car because we were able to park in front on the entrance. My family placed her name on the list and I looked the waitress/hostess in the eye and said we will be at the car. As we exited, another group of 3 walked in and stood at the check in desk. About 8-10 minutes later, that group was seated. When we observed the group that entered after us seated, we went in to check the wait list. The name entered AFTER ours was crossed out. No other names were on list. All the names prior to ours were crossed out. When we asked what happened we were given an "I don't know. We could seat you at the bar?" I shook my head because they offered the bar when we first came in and we requested a table. All we were told was They did not know. No apologies, no nothing. UUUGGHHHH! I really wonder why there are no waiting chairs/seats or why we were not even offered one. Any observant person could see my white beard as I hobbled through the door I remembered eating some of the city's best sushi and sashimi in the past. I don't remember the service being that bad. Yes, things change, some for good and others for bad. Not so sure what this was, but I doubt I will be returning anytime soon. read more

The beef was well seasoned and properly grilled; the peanut sauce was merely adequate. I may stop in later for a drink if the hotel bar is expensive, but I will not order food here again and did not take any leftovers.

We used my room since I have a bigger room. We had plates and set ups for all five of us and we re-plated the food on the serving plates that came with the room. But overall, the value of money and quality of food did not do it for me. I did notice the portions on the salad were inconsistent based off of the other tables around us. This dish was a ricotta gnocchi. For nearly $30, this was the smallest plate of pasta I have ever gotten. I continued to look around and everyone got extremely small portions of pasta. That aside.. this gnocchi was not good and too undercooked. The sauce tasted honestly like a chef boyardee sauce, with a little bit of a fish after taste, and no ricotta. It did taste like slight parm, which, even if a little bit more Parmesan was added, maybe this would've tasted a bit better. But apparently all the Parmesan was reserved only for the salads. (This dish was supposed to have a duck base, but this was not cooked properly) not only was I simply turned off by this dish, there was nobody by to help or even get it to go box. But quite honestly, I just left the food which is so sad. Left over pasta is always so good but I really could not continue eating this as I truly did not enjoy the taste. I left hungry and sadly disappointed.

To you it off we all tried the Pistachio Custard that was a nice end to the meal. The place does get busy so you may want to make a reservation. They do have a big parking lot but parking can still get tight. As for the staff they are all very friendly and welcoming. They also do a really good job of keeping the place neat and clean.

The text on the website sums up the concept of the food. "It's sushi ... With a Thai kick!!!" Translation: We're being upfront with you about the fusion style of food and are not pretending to be authentic Japanese. This is refreshing! I don't mind fusion, not everything has to be authentic. They get a star simply for being proud and honest about what they are, rather than being one of those places that says it's Japanese and then you go and it's fusion. "Irashimase." ("Welcome" in Japanese, misspelled.) Translation: But sometimes we do try to do things the Japanese way, and when we do, it's careless and poorly researched. I tried Sushi Studio twice since I really wanted to like it. Good: * Party atmosphere is fun when you're in the mood for it. * TVs showing sports. * Cool comic book menu. * I wouldn't say the prices are great, but they're not awful. * Girlfriend says the rolls with a million random ingredients are good. I wouldn't know. Haven't tried them. When I think of sushi, I think of raw fish. When she thinks of sushi, she thinks of avocado, jalapeno and cream cheese. I don't get it but I'll take her word for it. * The food I tried was pretty good while I was eating it, not the best ever, but good enough that I would come back if it weren't for the below. Bad: * Bad aftertaste that was hard to get rid of. I suspect it was the salad dressing. * Even the non fusion Japanese stuff doesn't quite taste Japanese. It's not bad, but not a real Japanese taste. If you know Japanese food you know what I mean. It seems like some important detail or ingredient is missing. Some people might prefer this. * The first time I went, we sat at the sushi bar and ordered sushi. No issues, everything went fine. The second time, I came by myself and asked if I could sit at a table (the place was not very busy at the time and only one table was occupied) rather than the sushi bar since I wanted to order a cooked food lunch combination. Nope. Not allowed. Since I was only one person I had to sit at the sushi bar, even if it made no sense for what I was ordering. I was not at all happy with this and really should've walked out, but as I said, I wanted to like the place. So I sat down at the sushi bar. I said I wanted the salmon shioyaki lunch combination, and that for my side (lunch combos come with one side) I wanted tuna nigiri. I was told that I couldn't have that for my side since it wasn't one of the side choices, but I could have spicy tuna rolls. I pointed out that on the list of side choices on the menu, it says both "spicy tuna roll" and "sushi" as two separate choices, so what are the sushi options? No no, I was told, it means spicy tuna roll since that is the only kind of sushi you can get as a side. Again, I should have walked. Go look at the menu on the website and you'll see what I mean about sushi being listed as a choice. But I went with the spicy tuna roll. My meal arrived in one of those big Japanese compartment trays, and the tray barely fit on the sushi bar. Another reminder that it does not make sense to eat this at the sushi bar rather than at a table. After I finished it I ordered some sea bass nigiri. It was pretty good. The guy next to me also ordered some at about the same time. When our orders came I noticed that his had a garnish and mine did not. Oversight, or a little jab for having the nerve to want to eat at a table and then to order a side that is on the menu? I was left with a bad taste in my mouth, both figuratively and literally. read more

OK.. Where to start.. I use to come to Sushi Studio a lot before the fire accident, and i must admit that they were probably the best place to go for sushi. Fresh fish, great specials, and great staff... Until my last dining experience. It was around 8pm on a Sunday night with me and my fiance. (It's was our first time coming back since the fire). Specials and prices were the same, but the quality of the fish was poor and the staff was just as bad... and also the walls were pretty bad as well. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants, but very little do i see rows of raw fish already sliced and ready to serve..(Raw fish stays fresh longer when its not sliced into smaller pieces). So my fiance and i received the normal greeting, but not one staff had a smile on their faces. : ( The waitress took our order and we ordered Yellowtail and Salmon Sushi and also 2 Scallop hand roll. When the chef gave us our order, man was i disappointed.. The Yellowtail was a bit slimy and also a little too yellow on the color.. It's called Yellowtail, but usually that's the tail, not the fish.. The texture was mush... I thought i was eating sea urchin. It also had a very sweet flavor to it like it was dipped into simple syrup before being served. My fiance didn't even bother trying it and it's her favorite sushi. Salmon was just as bad.. pre-sliced and completely different from one another.. I don't even think those 2 pieces came from the same fish.. It was awful.. And last and least... The old scallops.. it tasted like almost rotten scallops soaked in mayo and wrapped in seaweed... Me and my fiance looked at each other with disappointments on our faces and kindly asked for our bill. The waitress handed our bill without saying thank you... (that was actually the only time we saw our waitress again.) Paid the bill and walked out without any "thank you", "good night", or "good bye" from the staff... We walked out scratching our heads and told each other to not dine there ever again!!! I really don't what happened to Sushi Studio, but they were a lot better before the fire... I wasn't planning to write this review because it happened to me weeks ago!!! But I can't let you get away with it...Sushi Studio I couldn't agree more with other reviews. My last experience with Sushi Studio was HORRIBLE! I went there for their "special 5-7" or whatever they call it, the qualities and presentations of the food were terrified. Everything was so tiny like a kid's meal. 50% off huh? I ordered Tempura and it came with 1 piece of shrimp which I noticed the portion right away. I asked our server about the shrimp (which I know I would normally get 3), she gave me a nasty look and said "this is how we serve for 50% off menu". Damn! I don't even get one and a half shrimp for 50% off? The portion is less than half for 50% off? Why bother doing it? Other dishes are about the same, even the rolls are very very small. For those who think their special is a good deal, think again, I'm not kidding. Been to other places with happy hours special, they don't cut the portion of the food and say 'special 50% off' Service was very NASTY and RUDE and RUSHING. I haven't been back since and don't plan to! Still searching for a good sushi nearby. Btw...don't forget the check your bill everytime before you pay. They charged me full price for a couple items that suppose to be half off. Good thing I caught them. read more

LOVE sushi studio LOVE sushi studio !!!!!!!!!!! Of all of the sushi restaurants I have been to, this is the best. From the outside, it doesn't look like it would be that great but the sushi is AMAZING! The staff were amazing. All of them. We sat at the sushi bar, and our culinary magician created some amazing rolls. We also ordered from the general menu. We didn't have one waitress, but 3. Sodas were always overflowing, never empty. Coca-Cola establishment, which is a mega-plus. Their Sushi and Sashimi is ALWAYS FRESH! in particular, i enjoy the Yellowtail, Salmon and Albacore (with garlic). My only recommendation is to sit at the bar and ask what the sushi chefs recommend. They will have their own special of each chef. and They will guide you through their best sushi experience you may ever have from hand cuts to sashimi. But in case you don't sit barside try Their extreme crunchy roll, 911, and caterpillar roll are my favorite. Sushi Studio was literally my favorite place for sushi! My bestie and I loves their spicy garlic edamame...best we've ever had but.... SADLY it is gone!!! After craving this place since Valentine's day, I pick up my friend from the airport and drive over to Sushi Studio to walk and find out....its no longer that but Oho sushi. Our waitress was very nice, and other workers there were also nice but no way in compare to SUSHI STUDIO! One thing i very much dislike today was when I ordered salmon sushi (2nd order) it had a different taste to it. In my opinion as if the salmon had gone bad but then one if the chefs ask which order I liked best? I was a little thrown off since I ordered the same thing...or so I thought. Turns out they made a mix if sauces and added a bit of it to my salmon sushi WITHOUT ASKING ME FIRST! It was NOT whatnot ordered it wanted. I've been looking for a good Sushi place in the LBC for a long time and I'm so glad to have finally found Sushi Studio. It was my sister's birthday and we were scrambling to find a place to take her. I started doing some yelping and found Sushi Studio. So, we decided to try it out. It was a bit difficult to find seeing as though the sign is small, the building isn't very fancy and it's located in the same parking lot as a motel, but really that's the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a five. The place is not big but very packed. The menu's are like little comic books which is cute. Now to the food. The sushi was AMAZING. Every roll was delicious. The fish was so fresh. The Halibut literally melted in my mouth and the salmon was like butter. My little sister doesn't eat sushi and ordered chicken Teryaki, but I would avoid it as it took a really long time to come out. I would go on a birthday and let them know. I won't tell you what they did, but I will say he birthday presentation was awesome. read more

I went to the previous Sushi Studio which now has a new name & owner. The menu is just about the same. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki plate & thought I ordered the Shrimp Tempura side that comes with it. After telling the waitress that she forgot to include that in my order, she brought a shrimp roll instead that had one tiny little shrimp. I explained I wanted the Shrimp Tempura instead so she brought that out as a replacement. It was 95% bread & 5% tiny Bay shrimp! When I received my bill, $7.95 was added for the Shrimp Tempura so I told the waitress I did not expect the extra charge & she never told me so. The manager then came & I explained the mistake on behalf of the waitress & the shrimp Tempura charge was taken off the bill. I left a nice big tip because the new ownership took responsibility for their mistake. I'll be back here again for another lunch or dinner but will not order the shrimp tempura unless I want bread w tiny bay shrimp. The food here though is "BOMB!" read more

Still on my sushi kick so I stopped here tonight. I love eating at sushi bars. I mean at the bar not the table! I used to go to this place when they first opened years ago. When they first opened the fish was top quality and fresh but they didn't seem to stay with the same quality over time. Then they had a fire and now they are reopened. We have tried it a few times. At first I felt like the sushi was back up to par, fresh and tasty. This time I'm not so sure. They do have some unique rolls and the sauces are good but come on sushi studio, you can not scimp on the quality. While overall it was good it wasn't especially that great. For a friday night there were way too many little kids, like 3 and under, screaming at this place. I heard at least 3 tables and could not wait to get the hell out of there. Location SUCKS. It's not as shady as some people here have mentioned , but the shitty little drug motel next to it really doesn't help. Parking is awful--don't even bother with their lot, just park on the street or across the street. It's tiny, and busy, and loud (mostly college students) but damn is it good. Service is usually okay with the waitresses, but the sushi guys have ignored me more than once when at the bar. I once got seated on a corner and apparently neither guy wanted to help me (I think each guy takes one side of the bar area). We literally had to stand up to get their attention. It wasn't even that busy. Service overall has been decent most of the time. Go during happy hour, 3-6pm on Monday-Thursday. 3 of the rolls (their choice) are $6 during this time. Everyday is a pretty good choice and it sure makes my first 2-3 rolls easy to choose. read more

Only college students from out of state who have never had Asian food think this place is good. This is probably the most foul sushi place in all of Long Beach, even Sushisaurus is better....(and that is terrible)... First off, everything smells horrible, like a fish died right there on your plate and was left to sit out a week before they serve it to you.. The service is insanely slow. The price is extremely high.. It is sushi done by Thai people!!! This is NOT authentic in any sense of the word.. The worst part is that none of it is fresh..its old, stale, and foul. If you happen to not order sushi be prepared for low quality chicken that tastes rubbery and old.. After I went there I felt ill and probably dropped ten pounds from food poisoning.. Ordered through the postmates app. Received my food and apparently what I wanted was not what I wanted... the restaurant, I guess, decided to take the initiative of changing one of my rolls (dynamite rolls) for some chopped up Krab and scallop salad on top of wilted greens. I also ordered a salmon avocado roll but apparently I really wanted an avocado roll..... and then my one correct roll, yellow tail, came with some awesome plastic. Perhaps for flavor? My chicken bowl came with some added protein... a little green bug just to spice it up a bit! Mmmmm yummmyy!!! Had to slow down a bit (coming from PCH/7th street) because the signage out front was not visible. Don't go too fast or else you'll drive past. Sushi studio is next to a funky designed motel. Parking during the day is okay but I wouldn't know how it is at night. I wasn't sure if I should have parked in the tenants only spot or in the middle... Anyways, the usual greeting when you walk in, and friendly waitresses ask if you want to be seated at the bar or at a table. The Happy Hour specials are cool but make sure you eat it all because you CANNOT take your leftovers home! I eventually had to pick off the rice and just eat the fish and fillings.... otherwise the fish was good and the service was right on for this type of joint. Just saying.... read more

I've been waiting..and waiting..and waiting..for it to open and outta the blue I heard..its finally OPEN again! I was sooo glad too..since finding a goood sushi bar around CSULB campus is hard to come by. The one thing that made me an addict the first time was the prices. Its pretty inexpensive with large groups perfect for the neighboring college students around it. They recently slapped on a new coat of paint and added several more renovations..it looks great. Although, I heard from a friend who was also a sushi studio addict..that they took out the lunch special they had before. I always get memorized by the sushi that I dont know the difference. Oho Sushi is hands down one of the best sushi places I've ever visited! The ambiance is charming, especially the unique setup by the bar station! it adds a special touch to the dining experience. I tried the magic mushrooms, and wow!!! what a delightful surprise! I had never heard of them before, but they were absolutely delicious and definitely a must try. The salmon roll was equally impressive and flavorful. The service was attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. I haven't been back since I gave them 2 stars last time but the reason I came back to write this review and give them only 1 star is because I found their sister restaurant called 'I Luv Sushi' in Lakewood where I had a much much better dining experienced. Why is it so different? We received a full portion of the food during happy hours at 'I Luv Sushi'. I even ordered the gyoza and pay $2 for their happy hours special and actually got all (6)pieces. I know I have to drive further but I think it worth it and the parking is waaaaayyyyyy better. read more

I've been to Sushi Studio several times with friends. It is a fun atmosphere, but the Sushi is pretty much amateur hour at best. It's not horrible, it is just not all that great for the prices they charge. I give them an "A" for creativity with the rolls but they are pretty simple. I prefer a more traditional Sushi place with old-time Sushi Chefs who know the art of cutting a perfect slice of Sashimi. Bottom Line: Go, if you want to have fun. By far my favorite Sushi bar ever! We go at least once a week and it is forever amazing sushi. Their rolls are creative and tasty and never need the wasabi/soy sauce dip that many sushi pieces need to add spice. I love the 911 roll and the traditional rainbow roll. The environment is fun too. Birthdays involve a japanese song and dance (gotta see it to understand) They are super friendly and I genuinely can't get enough. I recommend it to sushi lovers and sushi virgins alike. read more

First place I ever went to for Sushi, and gotta say great sushi for the price. You can't beat their happy hour prices (almost all the time) and they have rolls for all kinds of taste buds. Their parking lot is small so you may have to park across the street in the surrounding neighborhoods, but it is worth it trust me! It's Mother's day - brings family here. My mom got a special roll from one of the chef. I like the way they cut fish for sashimi now - not too thin or thick. Their fish are good quality. Rice box is also good. My nieces don't eat raw fish then we ordered a Salmon box for them. They love it. Friendly services. Now they offer delivery and catering. Glad I tried it but there are much better sushi places I'd rather go to.
