After moving away from Oakland, I'm happy to find out that the Concord location of Ohgane is on par with the Oakland location, which was my favorite KBBQ spot in the East Bay. The AYCE deal can't be beat. The food is delicious and the service was attentive. We went for dinner around 6:30 on a Tuesday, and were seated right away. Highly recommend the bulgogi, Hawaiian bulgogi, and beef short ribs. I also like the soft tofu stew. read more

Been here a couple of time and it was okay. But I think the last time I went will be the last. Because of parking here a lot of glare from cars windshields come in, I had to wear my sunglasses until the sun finally moved along. Took away from the atmosphere cause I was being blinded. This has happened multiple occasions. When food is delivered by the servers a lot of the time to raw meat juice will splash on the table. Personally I just can't with that. The plates should be bigger or the staff shouldn't over fill the plates to the point this happens. I've spent a lot of time cleaning up and thankfully had sanitizer to help with that mess. The floors are slippery, be warned if going to the restroom, as that seems to be where you can fall most. Lastly and most unfortunate, I saw roaches in the bathroom the last time I went. Nothing worse than being on the facilities and seeing one of those buggers come crawling around. It was the final straw for me. They need to make some changes. read more

I've been to plenty of AYCE Korean BBQ but this place has to be, hands down, my absolute favorite! There are plenty of AYCE KBBQ that are within 5 - 15 miles of me but I personally don't mind going out of my way and driving 45 plus miles to come and enjoy a meal here! When it comes to the wait times, it varies. In my experience I've been seated right away to waiting up to 45 min. It really depends when you decide to go. But I will say experiencing long waits usually happens during dinner on the weekends and sometimes lunchtime. Other times wait times are pretty fast! Other than the food one of the other reasons that I enjoy coming here is the attentiveness of the servers. From little things of changing the grill & refilling your water pitcher, we don't usually have to ask because the servers on top of it there! They have exceptionally fast response time of taking orders and getting it out as well! The restaurant has 2 different dining areas. The first being its main dining area that is visible as soon as you walk in. They have their second dining area that is usually only open when it's a really busy night and it's in back part past the kitchen. When it comes to their food they have a variety of high quality cut meats and multiple delicious side dishes. My go to is their beef belly, spicy beef belly, marinated galbi & baby octopus with steamed egg, kimchi stew and rice on the side. 10/10 I will continue to enjoy a meal here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone willing to try it! read more

The truth is, I am not a huge Korean BBQ fan, but all my friends are, so we often try new Korean BBQ spots together. Our usual spot, however, is Gen Korean BBQ, and even though I went often, I never really enjoyed it. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed Ohgane! Of all the Korean BBQ spots I have tried, they're definitely doing it right. Smart busienss model for Korean BBQ. The food comes out fast with generous portions so you don't have to keep flagging down someone to order more and wait for your food. They also give you thin slices (even if its steak) so that it would cook faster. It really saves you time from waiting for your meat to cook. It's also good for their business, because if a party eats faster, you can flip the table faster. Also, the food here is pretty good for an All You Can Eat Korean BBQ place. I was quite impress with all the food choices that they offer. I was even more impressed that they had everything we ordered. Nothing was out of stock. Imagine going to an AYCE Korean BBQ and half the menu is out (ahem.. Gen and its multiple location, Zajang Grill in SF, etc.), which happened many times at other spots. I should also mention that the price per person here is very reasonable. The service here is amazing! They're quick so you never have to wait long to order to get your food. They also have a service bell so you don't have to worry about flagging down your server, but we hardly had to use it. Also, shout out to our server, Chris, who was attentive, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was exceptional. I am really glad that we got Chris as our server. Family KBBQ tonight, yes. AYCE KBBQ is a good way to spend time and hang out with family or friends. Service here was good. There's a button at the end of the table to call for assistance or need to order more items. Our waiter was helpful and our orders came out quick. Food was average. Their meat option is pretty much what you see in other KBBQ places. We weren't impressed with the meat quality on the ribeye steak. We expected a more softer meat. Each item had big portions. Not sure if it's because we had 9 people in our party. We just didn't expect it to be a lot. We finished all our food but something to keep in mind. You can always order more anyway. The restaurant was busy so it got a little smoky. I would have expected their ventilation would accommodate a lot of people cooking at the same time. The other concern we had was the floor was very slippery. We thought it was hazardous. The floor should be cleaned up. Someone will slip if they continue to leave it as is. I think it's because, in some cases, we would see them carry the used grills to the back to replace. Usually there's a cart that they bring bring out. Overall, it's a good place for KBBQ. If you love AYCE and you love meat, you will love this place! It was such a busy and happening place on a Friday evening. The wait was about 30 minutes without a reservation. You can smell the bbq outside. If you've never been to a kbbq place before, don't wear your nice clothes unless you're ready for the dry cleaning bill. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. Got lots of meat and sides, and 2 bottles of beer. I was surprised they don't overcharge too much for beer, I guess they make enough margin on the AYCE they actually want to encourage people to fill their belly with stuff that are not inclusive in the AYCE fee. This place is semi-kid friendly. I see lots of family with kids like ours. You just gotta remember to seat the kids farther from the hot surface. My daughter once touched the grill at a different kbbq place and burned her finger, so now we put her farthest away from the grills. We sat at the last booth near the kitchen entrance/bathrooms and had some trouble getting the server's attention. They only changed out our grill once, which was a little annoying bc the meat was starting to stick and it was pretty full of char already. But I notice other tables getting better/more service so I think it has to do with our seats. Overall it was a good experience. Very disappointing. Yelp clearly says this place closes at 10pm, so we showed up at 8:50 expecting to have dinner. Instead, we were told it was already "last call" because they actually close at 9:30. Rather than being seated, we were basically turned away, so we ended up leaving without eating. EVERYTHING We ordered tasted great! I wish I had more pictures but I was so hungry! Forgot to take some. Cheese corn was my absolute favorite along with the spicy soft tofu soup. The meats were very good. I especially liked their short ribs. The sauce choices were regular but also very good with the meats. For the price it was very good! PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING! I am genuinely confused how this place even has a 4 star rating. I am not super picky and never really leave reviews before but this place deserved one for the experience I had. 1. For the two people seatings you are seating directly in front of the fire and the fumes is flying directly at your face, when you are eating you are forced to get even closer to eat. 2. They only give you a few sauces to choose from which is almost nothing, no traditional Korean barbecue dips or nothing. 3. The menu might look like a lot but they all taste the same afterwards especially with no sauce options or much flavor. Honestly really disappointing, the only good parts is the staff is friendly and location is okay which is the only reason why I didn't rate this place 1 star. For 30ish a person for AYCE and the soju was probably $12ish, it's not a bad deal tbh. I especially really liked the brisket it was melt in your mouth tender and the pork belly for sure. I felt the beef ribs were good too. I didn't really love any of the marinated meats because I'm a minimalist and I prefer to taste the authenticity of the meats dipped in the sauces. I didn't really like any of the sides tbh I felt like some of them tasted a little old and stale. Overall the service was okay. It wasn't hard to flag down the staff or anything. Went here for. Lunch with some friends and we were very happy with everything this placed offered. We have been to other AYCE Korean BBQ, even the one just down the street, but this place is a new favorite. Simple setting, but spread out so you aren't bumping into other people. Service was top notch with all the servers helping each other so you weren't waiting long for anything. Extremely friendly and offered suggestions which is always appreciated. There is a 2 our max which was ample for us and in that time the hot tea pot was always filled the water pitcher always ready and they changed our grill plate at least 5 times. There wasn't a wait, we were probably seated within 5 minutes. But we got here around 630ish pm. The service here, it's a hit or miss. Really depends on who your waiter is. Last night's service was ok. Our server didn't really check in on us. It was extra smokey last night for some reason. By the time we were done eating, I smelled so much like bbq. lol. My sister and I mostly ordered beef items. My all-time favorite is the cube steak, but recently I have been loving the finger meat. I love all the banchans that normally comes with. I usually always order extra of the cucumber kimchi. They also have the green onion salad, but this is extra charge. Overall, I always come back here. Best Korean BBQ in Concord! They offer a variety of different meats, the banchan is good, and so are the appetizers. In addition to brisket, they have beef belly, beef tongue, and pork jowl which are some of my favorites! The quality has gone up over the years and I think management or ownship has changed recently as well. The wait can get a bit long during peak hours and if you have a big party, you should make a reservation. Parking is easy as it is located in a plaza. Came here on a Sunday evening around 7pm with a group of three. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks. I think they converted some of the place in the back for kbbq. Ambiance is loud and smoky. Be careful when walking. I nearly slipped. Fun and casual kbbq. It's a do it yourself, not the more fancy server cooks for you type. Parking situation is very easy. This location is in a strip mall with a parking lot. We did AYCE. Each round you can order 5 items. The menus were QR codes/you pull it up online. If service is needed press the red button. Someone came around and helped change out the grill as needed. First round we ordered rice paper, assorted vegetables (red bell pepper, zucchini, and onion), king oyster mushroom, bulgogi, and and fried potstickers. Second round we ordered garlic butter squid, pork belly, beef tongue, Galbee, and rice cake with honey. The meat portions were very generous. All three of us were pretty full and stopped after two rounds. My personal favorites were bulgogi, galbee, and the garlic butter squid. The beef tongue didn't have marinade but there was a lot of it. The rice cake with honey needs to be eaten asap or else it caramelizes and becomes very hard. Next time I'd skip the assorted veggies if I knew which ones they were. It was the first time for my friends going to kbbq and they loved the experience. The food was good. They definitely want to come back. I am a frequent customer of this place I do recommend this Korean barbecue place over Gen barbecue because I feel like they have a better selection of sides, and overall better quality. The concord area in general does not have a wide selection of ACYE Korean barbecue restaurants around. Honestly it is either this place or GEN and if you had to pick one, I would suggest ohgane. not only do they serve all you can eat Korean barbecue, but they also have a regular menu that has traditional Korean dishes and meals. This place does get crowded because it is one of the only two Korean barbecue restaurants in the entire city. It is pretty consistent and the service is usually good. You will get smelly after eating here they do not have the vents that absorb the smoke. Would recommend for a large parties. read more

I came here with some friends and let me say, we all have very specific dietary needs when it comes food, so choosing a restaurant can sometimes be a bit tricky. Ohgane ended up being great, which I was kind of surprised at because we have some vegetarians in the group, and this place specializes mainly in Korean BBQ. So it shouldn't be a surprise that three out of four of us ordered the Bipbimbap. Although I like the crispy rice, the food never cools down when in a hot stone bowl. I asked if they could serve mine in a regular bowl, which they obliged. The portions were big enough that nobody in my party were able to finish their order. The Banchan (sides) were all very good too. I also recommend the Lychee Soju if you haven't had it. We came in on a Friday night, and although it was very busy, we were able to be seated right away. It was surprisingly not super loud with all the people there so we were able to have a normal level conversation. The waiter was nice and attentive, and we liked the fact that there is a call button so the staff don't have to come around all the time to check on us. I definitely recommend coming here. read more
