Staff here are always attentive with getting in orders and grill changes without asking despite how busy they are. While the wait time can be up to an hour, there are plenty of places to explore and snack while you wait. One improvement would be a call or text notification system once your table is ready. If you're a fan of potatoes, you'll love the selection of sides, including buttered honey potatoes, French fries, and tornado potatoes. For tteokbokki lovers, they offer both a spicy and a honey version. When it comes to meats, the options are endless. My all-time favorite is the steak cubes--they're always perfectly marbled. The meat was completely tasteless and rubbery -- honestly inedible. The soups were like plain water with no flavor at all. On top of that, the service was terrible. He probably worked a room on his own that seated roughly 50-60 people; he had a couple helpers as well and they all did well. I left a review six months ago and just now received a reply from the district manager Dustin. I complained about being turned away and that although I enjoyed the food I would not return due to the unfair treatment we experienced when we arrived. The vibes were completely off. Did I mention that the side dishes really hit when you wrap everything in one bite? MJ was super attentive, our cups were never dry and the plates kept coming. Coming from Southern California (Los Angeles) where there are no shortages of good kbbq spots, this place is not even close to being considered good. Meat was frozen and tasted like cardboard. In no capacity did the steak fingers,beef belly,brisket, or any of the dishes taste like how they're supposed to. Very bland. Ordered the steamed egg and that was even worse. It tasted like water. Decent ayce kbbq place for this area! We came in on a Saturday around 6:15PM and did not have to wait! Noticed when we left by 7:30 there was a long wait so we got lucky and got here before the dinner rush. Food was decent and service was quick! The only thing we did not like was the noise levels and the smokiness of the room we got seated in. We went to the backroom which was more private but you could see the smoke being trapped there - not much ventilation in the back room. If we were to come back, we would prefer seating in the main area. For the price though, they have a large menu and a lot of interesting side dishes/appetizers that we don't usually see in ayce kbbq places such as the tornado potato. If you find yourself waiting long, there are plenty of stores to check out while waiting since this place is located in a plaza. Came here last night & it was packed, but us who was a table for 2 was literally seated right away! The service was good & attentive. The portions for certain items were a bit weird: ex. You get lots of bulgogi but if you order a spicy chicken, you get 1 piece, but if you get the butter garlic chicken, you get 2-3 big pieces of chicken. We had even ordered 3 spicy chickens at once and still only got 1 piece, which was bigger but was not 3 orders worth. The food however was good! Can't beat the flavor of any KBBQ in my opinion, even if it was the worst KBBQ, it would still be good. The spicy bulgogi though was a bit tough. But overall, the experience is always fun at any KBBQ. Some things MIGHT be a little saltier than expected, but always worth the try. I also appreciate that the meat serving sizes aren't too big which makes it easier to try out stuff . The side dishes are all super filled and super yummy! The stews aren't too filled which is nice if you wanted a small taste amongst a group or for sharing. Even having a stew for one person isn't too much. This is definitely one of my personal favorites for KBBQ in the area. The inside is spacious allowing for flexible reservations and planning. A surprisingly huge place. We were following the hostess to our table and had no idea they had an entire back area of tables. This place offers the most affordable AYCE kbbq in the area, so I was excited. Their banchan was already a step above GEN. The meat selection also differs and they offer beef belly which was my fave. The brisket and beef belly were heavily frozen with some chunks of ice still on it. Usually, other kbbq spots have it slightly frozen where you can't even tell. It didn't change the flavor, but it was just a surprise. Shrimp was my least favorite and the short ribe was not as meaty as other places. The service was prompt. Tables also have a service bell that you can use if needed. Floors are super slippery so be careful. I'd come back again! read more

There is seating in the back and that's where we ended up. However, it was only one server attending to all the tables. He was pretty quick and efficient though. We decided to go with the premium menu ($69 including tip) and it didn't disappoint! It was well worth our money! The marinated Kalbi is amazing! We kept ordering that (2 per person), the Wagyu brisket, and the scallops! We also tried the beef tartar which was divine (that's 1 per table). Definitely recommend the garlic butter chicken. Most of the other meats and veggies are unseasoned, but there are a few items on the table. Be prepared for the restaurant to be smoky. Pricing is good. For 4 people, with drinks and a few add-on's, we spent $50 per person. Not sure if I would return, but they do good business at night. We arrived at 530pm, and had no wait. Ohgane is located in the Park & Shop, on the side with China Wall Buffet, Lanzhou Noodles, and Kansai Sushi. It's another ayce kbbq place in the area, with Gen just not too far down the street off of Willow Pass headed towards Sun Valley Mall. For those who don't want ayce though, you can come here for just the regular menu, but please note that all people at the table would need to be ayce from what I could recall. It's a decently sized location, as there's plenty of tables inside, though, it's more of a long building than a wide building. Price wise, it's about comparable with Gen, and menu wise it's probably about the same as well. Though when you compare how busy each one is, Ohgane might be more reasonable of a wait, as it's in an area that certainly has much more food options literally around every corner of that shopping center, so less people are willing to wait. The menu here is pretty good, comparable to Gen's, though, probably some fewer things on the menu, but not by too much. The staff here is alright. Gen's service is always hit or miss. At Ohgane, the service is somewhat decent but I do feel the servers themselves aren't generally as friendly as Gen's, but they are typically a bit more on it than Gen's waiting staff. Sometimes I would prefer to lose a smile for faster/more consistent service. The food here is pretty good. The meat quality is probably about the same as Gen, but the one thing I don't feel is as good here is that many of their meats aren't really seasoned all that well, and just feel really bland and plain. Their dipping sauces aren't really quite there, and overall the meat quantity isn't that much too per serving. The only thing here that I do like is the Galbi, which is nice and thick, and also more consistent than Gen's which sometimes is too thin and too fatty. But the other meats here at Ohgane are just okay due to a lack of flavor choices. Another thing I don't like about Ohgane though is the size of their grills. Compared to Gen, the grill size is tiny. Even compared to the other none ayce kbbq places around, this grill is just really small. This creates kind of a back up in your log of meats to cook, and also makes you eat much slower due to the fact that you can't even fit that much on the grill. The grill does grill more consistently than let's say Gen, who always seems to have heating issues with some of their grills settings, but with such a small grill you're almost spending the same amount of time on a worse grill to get through your plates of food. Final thoughts are that Ohgane is a good choice for kbbq, but I would probably still prefer Gen for food quality. I would prefer Ohgane for the faster service, though, sometimes not always that personable, but they do at least get the job done regardless. The smaller grill also means that it will take much longer to cook, and their tables in general are smaller, so bigger parties probably aren't going to be as great at Ohgane than let's say Gen. Price wise it's roughly the same, so it's really just going to be on which of these pros and cons you feel you prefer in deciding which ayce kbbq to go with. read more

We have visited Ohgane Korean barbecue for several years. Although it's been a few years since we've been back and tonight we just so happen to be in Concord for dinner. We ordered two orders of Bibim nangmyon, one order of seafood noodle soup, one order of KOR, glass noodles, and one order of bulGogi noodle stew. The service was very quick and accommodating, and the store smelled clean before people start cooking their food. As for our dishes, none of us wanted to order all you can eat today, so it was all à la carte orders from the dinner menu. Unfortunately, none of us were pleased with our dinners. We don't remember it being like this before we remembered liking a Ohgane a lot. Tonight was just lackluster for all of the dishes and unfortunately I think this might be our last time that we will visit this Ohgane location and we'll have to try other Korean restaurants in the area read more

Ventilation is terrible in the restaurant. Feels like you're sitting in a cloud of smoke and it's a bit harder to breathe, especially on a warm night. Our grill caught fire twice. The first time, our server came over and scraped off some grease underneath to put it out. It ended up on fire again and she had to dump some water on it to put it out.
