Food was amazing! I got the jerk shrimp with rice and peas. I also got a smoothie that tasted just as good as the food! Had me thinking I was on vacay in Jamaica :) The vibes from the chef made me feel at home. You can tell he loves his craft and that translates to the taste of his food and drinks as well. My 5 coworkers and I decided to try Jam N Jerk Kitchen out so we ordered some plates for 6 people. The owner did a Paula Abdul and "Straight now tell me" and told me the most cost effective way to get our order which was the mini-catering option. Let me tell you, she was absolutely right! The value of the the quality of the food on as well as the amount you get is fantastic (take a look at the pics). We ordered a medley of everything, the Jerk Fish, Jerk Chicken, Oxtails, Rasta Pasta, Jam n Cheez, Rice N Peas, all were incredible. The chicken was so flavorful, the oxtails fall off the bone, the fish with the mango salsa was kickin, and the jam n Cheeze was sooooo gooey! The food was so good in fact that our coworkers demanded us to share! The food literally made me believe in love again, so I called my wife and said "Honey I believe in Love again and Love you, to which she responded, I love you too but you better bring me home that food!" The food is good. First off my husband had a taste for Caribbean food so I went on a mission to find some. I obviously don't pay attention to detail because I didn't realize that this is not a restaurant. One has to pick it up after you order and pay for it first, and because it's cooked to order it's ready the next day. I wanted to try all the meats, chicken, ribs and shrimp. I didn't know how to order being this was our first time. I had a few mishaps with getting the food, but eventually we did get it and thought it is worth the price. It was my first experience ordering from a vendor. The experience is not for us. Having it cooked wherever and paying first was not our preference. But, again the food is good. We used to live on the East Coast, and if you know, you know! they have some of the best Jamaican/Caribbean food out there since it's closer to the islands. So ever since moving back here to the Bay, it's been hard finding that same authentic flavor... BUT when we tried this spot, their food was goood, and packed with flavor! The jerk chicken was perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of spice, and the oxtail was so tender it literally fell off the bone. My ordered was the Jerk Shrimp which comes with the mango salsa combo with Red Rice with Beans and side of salad and 1/2 a rack of Jerk Smoked Ribs with some of the medium spicy BBQ sauce on the side. My wife ordered something else (will write her own review. As usual, my dinner was delicious. Our dinner was hot when we picked them up. It was hot when we got to our friend's house to eat our dinner while watching the Warriors basketball game. The last time I had the Jerk Shrimp Combo, I had the Jerk BBQ Chicken with it. This time, I had the Jerk Smoked Ribs. Both were delicious!! My next meal will have to be the Rasta Pasta and something else. Price was reasonable for the amount of food they offered.
