Food is so good, it was my first time trying it my brother and I had the oxtail plate and jerk chicken plate and it was very flavorful. The service was great the staff very kind and friendly. The ambiance is nice small spot but enough spaces to stay and eat and enjoy such wonderful food. 10/10 recommend and will be back soon to try other plates!

I saw this sign while leaving the D. M Vi have to say I am so glad I decided to walk in to see what fire spice. Caribbean was all about, I was not disappointed. This is the best oxtail Patty. In the world, of course, this is the only one I've ever tasted, but it's delicious. You gotta go there 5 stars, Christofari.

Great food and great service. I added some updated pictures of their 2025 menu, display of juices, and merchandise/sauces for sell.

***** Wah gwaan ***** ( what's up ) Everything Irie (good) the jerk chicken and jerk ribs combo plate didn't hit it for me. I enjoyed the food but a little disappointed the authentic flavors were missing. Jamaican food is known to be very flavorful and tasty with bold spiciness. I didn't get that fiery seasoning smoky signature heat I was craving. The jerk chicken and ribs was falling off the bones but didn't taste freshly cooked. The rice and peas were all dried out and lacking that hint of coconut milk often used when preparing that dish. It came with a side of shredded cole slaw that was not dressed at all just a scoop of plain slaw without any dressing. The plantains and festival were ok too. Here's what to expect there is no grilling or smoking meats. There is no open display of dishes to select from. Everything is prepared in the back. I guess I'm tryna say you don't get a preview before you make a decision. You just hol'ah vibe and hope you get what you pay for. DONT WORRY BE HAPPY SPACE: cute , some table and chairs PRICE: expensive STAFF: super friendly and fiesty PARKING: free and limited OTHER: cold drinks including beer

Mac and cheese was delicious!!! It may not look aesthetically pleasing, oh but it is a delicious.

I'm happy to report and give these beautiful people a well-deserved five-star review! This Black-owned business truly sets the standard for great food and exceptional service in the Antioch/Pittsburg area, where good food spots can be hard to come by. I decided to order food to-go today after church after seeing their top ratings on Yelp, and I'm so glad I stopped by. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a lovely young lady with a bright smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. The customer service here is superb! As a pescatarian, I ordered the salmon plate which came with flavorful beans and rice, creamy coleslaw, perfectly fried plantains, and a soft piece of bread. I also tried the spinach veggie patty and a side of mac & cheese. Let me tell you everything was fresh and full of flavor! The salmon was seasoned just right with a nice kick and paired perfectly with the beans and rice. The plantains? Fried to absolute perfection. The spinach patty was fresh and packed with flavor. And the mac & cheese... absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be getting that again. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting and I knew I wouldn't so I intentionally ordered enough to enjoy some today and the rest tomorrow. I'll absolutely be back! Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and made with care. They've set a high standard for me, and I truly hope my next visit will be just as good if not even better! Check out my pictures below everything tasted even better than it looked!

The Brown Chicken Stew with rice is delicious and staff is very nice and friendly . Nothing is processed and all the food is prepared fresh as I could see it being cooked.

I visited Fiya Spice Caribbean after I won a gift basket that included their seasoning, a bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce and a gift card for the restaurant. After I tried the hot sauce I was SOLD. I love spicy sauces and food and before I even had an opportunity to try the food the hot sauce had me hooked. I finished the bottle within the first two weeks of receiving it. When I went to the restaurant I ordered the jerk chicken wings (seven pieces $15.60), a combo plate with oxtail & curry goat (served with red beans & rice, plantains, festival & cabbage slaw $32.24), extra hot sauce on the side, two Soursop with seamoss & ginger juices, one large bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce and one small bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce to take home. The sauce on the jerk chicken wings was sweeter than I expected it to be. I usually associate anything jerked with spice, but I am also biased because I prefer spicy over sweet sauces on my protein. The wings were still cooked very well and tasted great. The oxtails were flavorful, tender and juicy. The curry goat was my favorite and the most flavorful dish out of everything I ordered. The portion sizes were pretty good as well. The soursop juice was smooth and delicious. The ginger was not overpowering and the juice itself was perfectly balanced. I purchased a juice for a friend who enjoys anything with soursop and they said it was the best soursop juice they've had. They enjoyed it so much they contacted the distributor, Islandboyz Seamoss who makes the juices and learned that the juices are also sold in Vallejo. Their website is https://islandboyzseamoss.com. They have a variety of seamosses and juices. The juices did come frozen because I went to the restaurant towards the end of the day and they were nice enough to check the freezer for the juices when I asked. I did let them thaw in the refrigerator for a couple days. I gave one bottle of hot sauce to a family member who really enjoyed the flavor. While I did not eat at the restaurant, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Overall I enjoyed my meal and juice very much. I will definitely be visiting again to try more items on the menu and for more hot sauce when mine runs out.

FINALLY! FINALLY! I got to visit and I am pleased. The oxtails are a lil sweet but good and a lil spice left over. Definitely good ! Coco bread a hit! And the patties well that's what drew me to them . Now I'm innit for the win! Gotta go back my next try is the Ricky Ross (Oxtail) ! And a plus the place was clean has very chill vibes , good music and I enjoyed myself watching the chef actually cooking items on the stove and plating meals it looked and smelled great!

The food was soooo good! 10/10!

Such a good dinner! The flavors were out of this world! Everything was so tender and delicious!

I love beef patties so I decided I'd give it a try! The special for Monday was goat (not my fav) and chicken...but I chose to just get patties.....until I got there. The establishment had snacks, drinks, clothes, fresh ginger, frozen fresh fish, oils, ice cream, soaps...you name it! They had it! When it was time to order, I told them I was skeptical of the goat and was thinking about passing on the chicken this time. BUT he insisted...and when he showed me the chicken, it looked and smelled amazing!!! So I said what the heck! I went from only getting 2 beef patties to buying 2 stewed chicken plates ($15), 4 patties ($3.75 each), 1 festival bread ($0.99) and 2 coco breads ($2.75 each) for a total of about ($60-$65). Everything was a 10/10!!!! No kidding!!!! We also got 2 mango drinks (less than $5 for both) and a pack of sherly cookies ($2.50). One of the drinks was 100% juice, and they had many other traditional Jamaican beverages as well as non-alcoholic drinks. I live in the Berkeley area but I will be making the drive again and again!! With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. I was specifically there for a birthday party where we had cake being served from outside the restaurant. Bodega has a cake cutting charge, but seeing our tiny cake they waived it for us! It's a cute restaurant and definitely different than many you will find around Sacramento. If you're in the pocket area, Bodega is well worth a visit!

Yelp has me clocking trips here going back to when they first opened in 2018 and I must say they just keep getting better! I'm always warmly greeted when I stop in and enjoy the relaxed vibes while I wait for my takeout order- chatting with the friendly staff and listening to the great music they play while my food is prepared fresh to order. The vegan oxtail, which they make in-house, is my absolute favorite. The plate comes with rice and peas, salad, and plantains. If they have vegan Jamaican Patties available I always get some of those as well (pro tip: they reheat well). Sadly, those veggie-stuffed pastries are frequently sold out, so if you see them get them! When cold weather comes around, I'm all about the Ital soup. It's so simple and flavorful. If I feel a cold coming on this soup is one of my favorite remedies. It's also worth noting that the vegan options have really expanded over the years, and made from scratch, which I definitely appreciate. Dubplate is in my regular rotation for a reason.
