Combo Plate w/ Oxtail & Curry Goat, served with rice & beans, festival & cabbage slaw.
    DeAjuané J.

I visited Fiya Spice Caribbean after I won a gift basket that included their seasoning, a bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce and a gift card for the restaurant. After I tried the hot sauce I was SOLD. I love spicy sauces and food and before I even had an opportunity to try the food the hot sauce had me hooked. I finished the bottle within the first two weeks of receiving it. When I went to the restaurant I ordered the jerk chicken wings (seven pieces $15.60), a combo plate with oxtail & curry goat (served with red beans & rice, plantains, festival & cabbage slaw $32.24), extra hot sauce on the side, two Soursop with seamoss & ginger juices, one large bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce and one small bottle of their Fiya Magic hot sauce to take home. The sauce on the jerk chicken wings was sweeter than I expected it to be. I usually associate anything jerked with spice, but I am also biased because I prefer spicy over sweet sauces on my protein. The wings were still cooked very well and tasted great. The oxtails were flavorful, tender and juicy. The curry goat was my favorite and the most flavorful dish out of everything I ordered. The portion sizes were pretty good as well. The soursop juice was smooth and delicious. The ginger was not overpowering and the juice itself was perfectly balanced. I purchased a juice for a friend who enjoys anything with soursop and they said it was the best soursop juice they've had. They enjoyed it so much they contacted the distributor, Islandboyz Seamoss who makes the juices and learned that the juices are also sold in Vallejo. Their website is https://islandboyzseamoss.com. They have a variety of seamosses and juices. The juices did come frozen because I went to the restaurant towards the end of the day and they were nice enough to check the freezer for the juices when I asked. I did let them thaw in the refrigerator for a couple days. I gave one bottle of hot sauce to a family member who really enjoyed the flavor. While I did not eat at the restaurant, it was very clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Overall I enjoyed my meal and juice very much. I will definitely be visiting again to try more items on the menu and for more hot sauce when mine runs out.

The Brown Chicken Stew with rice is delicious and staff is very nice and friendly . Nothing is processed and all the food is prepared fresh as I could see it being cooked.

Great food and great service. I added some updated pictures of their 2025 menu, display of juices, and merchandise/sauces for sell.

***** Wah gwaan ***** ( what's up ) Everything Irie (good) the jerk chicken and jerk ribs combo plate didn't hit it for me. I enjoyed the food but a little disappointed the authentic flavors were missing. Jamaican food is known to be very flavorful and tasty with bold spiciness. I didn't get that fiery seasoning smoky signature heat I was craving. The jerk chicken and ribs was falling off the bones but didn't taste freshly cooked. The rice and peas were all dried out and lacking that hint of coconut milk often used when preparing that dish. It came with a side of shredded cole slaw that was not dressed at all just a scoop of plain slaw without any dressing. The plantains and festival were ok too. Here's what to expect there is no grilling or smoking meats. There is no open display of dishes to select from. Everything is prepared in the back. I guess I'm tryna say you don't get a preview before you make a decision. You just hol'ah vibe and hope you get what you pay for. DONT WORRY BE HAPPY SPACE: cute , some table and chairs PRICE: expensive STAFF: super friendly and fiesty PARKING: free and limited OTHER: cold drinks including beer

Mac and cheese was delicious!!! It may not look aesthetically pleasing, oh but it is a delicious.

I'm happy to report and give these beautiful people a well-deserved five-star review! This Black-owned business truly sets the standard for great food and exceptional service in the Antioch/Pittsburg area, where good food spots can be hard to come by. I decided to order food to-go today after church after seeing their top ratings on Yelp, and I'm so glad I stopped by. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by a lovely young lady with a bright smile and a genuinely welcoming attitude. The customer service here is superb! As a pescatarian, I ordered the salmon plate which came with flavorful beans and rice, creamy coleslaw, perfectly fried plantains, and a soft piece of bread. I also tried the spinach veggie patty and a side of mac & cheese. Let me tell you everything was fresh and full of flavor! The salmon was seasoned just right with a nice kick and paired perfectly with the beans and rice. The plantains? Fried to absolute perfection. The spinach patty was fresh and packed with flavor. And the mac & cheese... absolutely delicious! I'll definitely be getting that again. I couldn't finish it all in one sitting and I knew I wouldn't so I intentionally ordered enough to enjoy some today and the rest tomorrow. I'll absolutely be back! Everything was fresh, seasoned well, and made with care. They've set a high standard for me, and I truly hope my next visit will be just as good if not even better! Check out my pictures below everything tasted even better than it looked!

Hadn't tried them since the food truck. Congratulations on the storefront!! I wanted the oxtails & jerk chicken so bad but I'm still tryna to limit my meat consumption, so I got the fish. Escovitch Fish -4.5outta5 The snapper wasn't meaty. It was a nice portion but it was my first whole fried snapper that I could see through. That could be attributed to the season, so no harm, no foul. It was delicious. The escovitch's one of the best I've had & really compliments the snapper. Red beans & rice Still 3outta5 It still reminds me of a boxed RB&R & there wasn't a lot of beans. Bread 3outta5 It was a lil too dry for my liking The hot sauce?! 5outta5 It was hot but flavorful. One of the chef's joked w/me about wiping away tears, lol. That scotch bonnet ain't no joke but I still wished they sold it by the bottle. Champagne Coke 5outta5 It reminded me of ginger beer. Pineapple soda - 4outta5 It was good and I recall a good pineapple flavor, however at that point my pallet was on fire. Cold coffee would've tasted like pineapple. Excellent service. On my next cheat day, I'll be trying the oxtails.

Pear bread pudding with caramel sauce made from scratch. This was very moist after coming to room temperature.

Soul food Sunday's are my favorite days to eat here because I can order southern fried catfish. That Mac and cheese with the guaranteed cheese pull and that from scratch bread pudding (zapped in the microwave) are all my top favorites. And that cornbread cake with fresh challenge butter is the bomb.

Been eating oxtail & jerk chicken from here since back when they were a food truck in Oakley back in 2022. My gf has never tried Caribbean food before and once she ate here she immediately became a fan. The girl taking the orders was really sweet and provided us with a great service. The cooks were very welcoming and had a lot of personality. I've always came here for the oxtail and jerk chicken but I definitely want to try the fried catfish the next time we come. Big props and I'm happy you guys grew into a restaurant, best Caribbean spot in the Bay imo

Crab and lobster patty. This picture only exists because I had to wait for it to cool down.

This place is great! My favorite things are the patties (get the crab and lobster one when they have it and order it ahead) and if you order a la carte get the mac n' cheese and steamed cabbage (trust me, it's so good). All of the entrees are delicious; my favorites are the curry prawns and oxtails (of course). And don't sleep on dessert! They're great for takeout, but it's cute and super clean if you want a quick dine-in. Literally, all of the patrons there are happy because the food is SO good and everyone working is so nice. I take everyone I meet here

    Goat curry
    Jon L.

Super good. We got the goat curry. Came with rice, slaw, fried plantains, and their bread. Every element of the dish was excellent. Let's talk about the spice. How hot exactly is "Fiya" spice? Well, I'm happy to report, the spice level was great. I enjoy eating spicy foods and have a fairly high tolerance. The food was spicy enough to cause mild, pleasant pain, but not enough to overwhelm the dish. The spice level was perfect with mixing in the plain cabbage slaw. It has no dressing, because you don't need it...mixing it into the curry was great. The goat was tender, and there were minimal small bone fragments. Their bread is really good too, it tasted somewhat like a fried cornbread. We also ordered two patties- one curry chicken, and one brown stew chicken. Both were super good. Would get it again. Service was great. Huge parking lot. We were there on a Tuesday, 11:30am and the place only had us and one other customer.

Ok Fiya Spice, you better come through!! I have had my eye on this place for a while, I'd actually been wanting to try them when they had the food truck and before the opened the brick and mortar. I finally decided I would try them for their "Soul Food Sunday" special that they have on the 3rd Sunday of the month. Walking inside the restaurant it was so bright and vibrant. I was immediately greeted by the owner and she was so nice. I told her how I'd been dying to try them and made it a point to come that particular day. She went over the Soul Food Sunday menu for me and went over some of the other menu items as well. The menu has a good variety of items, 6 different types of patties, coco bread, jerk chicken/ribs, curry chicken/shrimp, fried fish, brownstew chicken, Rasta Pasta, sandwiches, wraps, sides and desserts. They have a little of something for everyone. I ordered the Oxtail which came with Greens, Mac n Cheese, Yams and Cornbread and I also added a slice of homemade Red Velvet Cake. It was a little on the pricey side BUT it was well worth it and it was a lot of food. The oxtail was cooked to perfection and were practically falling off the bone, they had real good flavor and were so tender. The mac n cheese was cheesing you hear me! It was creamy, cheesy and had a bit of a nutmeg flavor to it. The greens were great as well, tender and they had some meat in them (I'm assuming pork) and had great flavor. The yams were good but a little too sweet for me, I'm not much of a fan of yams but they were good. The cornbread was good and was moist and tasted like cake. Now to the Red Velvet Cake, this thing had some weight on it. It was 4 layers and had the perfect amount of cream cheese frosting. It was so moist and decadent, probably one of the best red velvet cakes I've ever had. It definitely took me a couple days to eat all of this food and the cake. I will definitely be back!! The food was amazing and the customer service was amazing. I highly recommend trying them out!

FINALLY! FINALLY! I got to visit and I am pleased. The oxtails are a lil sweet but good and a lil spice left over. Definitely good ! Coco bread a hit! And the patties well that's what drew me to them . Now I'm innit for the win! Gotta go back my next try is the Ricky Ross (Oxtail) ! And a plus the place was clean has very chill vibes , good music and I enjoyed myself watching the chef actually cooking items on the stove and plating meals it looked and smelled great!

My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. With authentic flavors and food items, there's not many like it around town. Bodega serves up food from the Caribbean Islands. One of their most popular dishes is their jerk chicken. They have this both as a chicken wing appetizer and as a plated dinner. I personally really enjoy white meat when it comes to chicken and the dinner plate was leg and thigh so I opted to go with the wing appetizer. My only complaint about it was its size. I thought it could have had more wings as I thoroughly enjoyed each one with the jerk sauce I added to it. The wings were very crisp on the outside and full of flavor. Adding the jerk sauce or their house made hot sauces enhanced the flavor even more. I could really see myself coming just for these wings! I also had the Cubano sandwich. This hot, pressed sandwich has ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. It's a popular item that also is bursting with flavor. The combination of all the ingredients was mouthwatering. It comes with a side of fries to round out the meal. Service at Bodega was very nice. We found the servers to be very patient with us and the food came out reasonably. I was specifically there for a birthday party where we had cake being served from outside the restaurant. Bodega has a cake cutting charge, but seeing our tiny cake they waived it for us!
