Supplies to the Max... I do like this Kaka'ako location as this quite large store has its own personal parking lot so you never have to search and can conveniently for whatever supplies you need. Nothing much has changed over the years that I've shopped here with lots of desks and office furniture to choose from along with laptops and various equipment to desktop items though on this visit I was looking for something very specific and was hoping that I'd find it here as it's an item that we can't seem to find it here on island...receipt spindle...you know the check stabber thing. I've pretty much checked everywhere are can't find it to only remember this store and thought I'd find it here and asked a staff to only find out that they don't carry that or anything like that unfortunately. Nevertheless I enjoyed browsing to see what other options that I may have and love how it's so nice and organized it all was as is good to know that the option to find item here is easy and convenient. Thank you!

It's that time of the year again! Can you guess it? Summer break means preparing for the start of next school year. My daughter and I decided to get her school supplies at OfficeMax. I like shopping here better than Fisher Hawai'i because it's cleaner, a little less chaos and definitely much more organized! Today, we were greeted by Marvin, the Sales Manager, and the directed us to our first stop, the stamp area. :) Did you know they can make your very own stamp? Yup, they can personalize the stamp for you from your name, occupation title, address and much more. We checked in first. So far so good. The Sales Manager also had a pleasant smile. We were assisted about 5 minutes later. I was asking Tasha about the ink color and the font. Those were only 2 questions I was able to ask and not get an answer. She didn't seem to know her work area that she directed me to place my order online. Yup, I drove to the store to be told to shop online. SMH. I walked away feeling disappointed but our main reason was to buy school supplies so I walked away from her area. Not happy here...either she's had a long day or just really didn't know her work area. Which is an opportunity for learning. At least, I'd say so specially if she plans to work in that specific work area/section. As we looked around for other supplies we needed we bumped into Ron, who pointed where the calculators could be found. He had a nice, friendly smile. :) We continue to walk around the aisle and we bumped into V, short for Valerie. This time we needed the combination lock. She was great. She walked us to the aisle. :) We are now finally ready to pay and our cashier was Divina. We love Divina! :) She was super sweet, friendly and love the way she communicated with us. It was short but she definitely had us laughing and smiling. SHE IS A KEEPER!!! The overall experience of shopping at OfficeMax was great from Marvin to Ron to Valerie to Divina! This is all because they have staffs that were happy to assist! I hope their manager includes this on their performance review. :) They earned it! They deserve it!!! As for Tasha, definitely consider this as a learning opportunity.

I like those neutral Sharpies

I like this OfficeMax. I was greeted as soon as I walked into the store. Another associate asked if I needed any help as I was perusing the store. They sell whatever supplies you need for the office. I saw computers, printers, chairs, pens, planners and even board games. They have the Barbie Monopoly. I so wanted to buy it. I almost did except no one wanted to play with me and you can't play Monopoly by yourself. Oh well! It really was very cute though. When you're at the check out it's candy galore. They have rows upon rows of candy. If you're addicted to candy don't look, haha.

Still, my "go to" office supply house in the city because of their proximity to my office, their supply, their service and the list goes on. Today, I update my review with a couple changes that have occurred at and with the Office Depot/Office Max organization in Hawaii. I'm going back to the year 1918 when Honolulu Paper Company was formed in then Territory Hawaii. In 1965, Honolulu Paper Company (6 years after Hawaii's Statehood) became HOPACO, an entity formed and owned by Boise Cascade Paper from the Pacific Northwest. Tick Tock!!! Along comes 2003 when Mogul Paper Company Boise Cascade purchases the Office Max Chain; now known as Hopaco/Office Max. Okay, there in a nutshell is the history and the changes that came with this are: 1) your online order is fulfilled by the Hopaco warehouse (this means if you want to return; you need to make sure they can pick it up or you will have to take it to the store yourself 2) your reward points are under the Office Depot umbrella 3) they have Customer Service assistance on the floors from the moment you walk into the store. 4) they now sell "household" goods; paper towel, cleaners, etc. This location on Ala Moana Blvd has tons of parking. Easy access in or out if you are driving there. As my "go to" place, I will say they have almost anything you need including paper towel, hand sanitizers, storage boxes and possibly anything you can think of including consumable products like imported Asian snacks, coffees, teas = Sheesh! Like a one stop shop for your office; even if your office is at home

Went to Office Max because my wife wanted a new chair. She looked and sat on a number of chairs. She found one that she liked. The service was excellent. As soon as we walked in we were asked if we needed help. While she was looking and trying. I walk around the store and at least three employees ask if I needed assistance. The cashier and the young boy who did the carryout deserve kudos. This is a place to go for your office needs. Stay safe

OfficeMax is my place to go for school and business supplies. Conveniently located in town on Ala Moana Boulevard. They have good sales especially for back to school. Nice selection of everything you need from paper to pencils, binders, calendars and even printers and cartridges. Staff is super friendly and helpful and often greet you on entering the store and ask you if they can help you find anything specific. The stores typically not very busy, and there is ample parking out in front.

I always forget this location is here. Good place to get office supplies and school stuff. It can be pricey though.

That one was $2300. 2nd time , he was supposed to be there by 8:30am never showed up till 12:30 and the boys didn't come till 1:30. That should have been our first clue. Now we are only going from Palolo to KAIMUKI and it cost us double the price! Also he's got this gimmick now. Like UPS AND FED EX TRUCKS all come up to my house, kawika decided to park on Palolo Ave and block it. Here's the gimmick....he parks the big truck down the road brings a little van to my house loads that then goes to the big truck to download. We got from point A to B-4 times costing us an extra 2 hours. Half an hour to unload each time. We also had our own flat bed truck to help. Kawika's big van parked on Palolo ave died out while he we sitting in it the whole time telling us the hazard lights killed the battery. Full of lies!!. His own vehicles couldn't jump start it so obviously we had to with our flat bed ( dodge 5500 with lift) and our own jumper cables. Another hour wasted but charged for. After they did the 1 drop it was 10:00pm or so. Blaming us for the time and nasty neighborhood. If he had showed up on time, we would have beat the Pau Hana Traffic. That's why we scheduled the early. He was supposed to finish the job on July 4th and never showed up. He sent Us a text at 11:27 pm on July 3rd that he can't come till 9:30-10. He NEVER showed, Needless to say We had to scramble to find new movers. He charged us 3 hours over because of his antics not ours. He over charged us by $967.00. I would get very specific plans from him BEFORE YOU TAKE THE RISK. Please consider someone else unless you don't care!! The second day was going to cost us the same as the first day!! 2x's the charges!! Guys like him give ALL KAWIKA's A bad name! I cannot express to you how shady LUCKY MOVERS ARE!! Please consider someone else!! Don't TRUST HIM!!!

Not only did they provide the lowest price point but they also made me feel truly cared for. My initial call was with Paige. She was lovely, upbeat and helpful. She calmed my concerns and helped me de-stress. I felt my family was in good hands after a few minutes of talking. Paige is great at what she does! My next few calls were with Jordan who seemingly was available 24/7. He never missed a call and helped me navigate a tricky move. He was transparent and realistic about what expectations my family and I should have. He went above and beyond to take care of my family as if they were his own relatives. On moving day, Ty and Brandon were unbelievably efficient, hardworking, thorough and kind. My grandma doesn't speak much English but the language barrier proved no problem in the face of Ty and Brandon's kindness. Ty and Brandon were undoubtedly impressive. Professional from start to finish. Crazy strong and fast. They were efficient yet careful. No damage to any of our belongings. Ty and Brandon worked quickly in order to help my family save costs--even doing extra things to help like move a whole fridge to make my life easier. What was estimated to take 3.5-5 hours took the pair of them 2.5 hours. This is with one tall flight of stairs at the old apartment and FOUR flights of winding stairs at the new. Unreal. My family has moved twice before but no other moving company left anywhere near the same positive impression as YouMoveMe. Tyron and Brandon left quite the impression on my family--so much so that they know who they want to call for their next move. YouMoveMe humanizes the moving experience and actually makes it enjoyable. They offer the best prices and best service. They don't charge for the walkthrough like many other companies, and charge by 15-min increments after the first hour. Please be sure to tip your movers. They work hard and their jobs are not easy--though Ty and Brandon make it seem like it. Highly recommend YouMoveMe! The most professional moving company yet.

After 17 years, I moved from Pūpūkea on the North Shore down to Honolulu. Not only was I moving myself but I moved my art business too. The quote was accurate and this company only charges you at the end of the move. You truly only pay for the time used. The transparency was impressive with You Move Me. My moving team Jordan, James and Jakob (I nicknamed them the triple threat ) were absolutely fabulous. The professionalism and care they showed handling my larger furniture and antique furniture was impressive. All blanketed and shrink wrapped for transport. They were incredibly organized. All my possessions arrived in perfect condition. The new home wasn't an easy unload because they had to go down 17 steps to the new house. They found the best way to get the furniture and totes into the house quickly and safely.. All the guys were super personable and had great attitudes. Lots of laughs and smiles shared. Even though it was a hard move the team made it fun and easy. Big Mahalos guys, you made may move great! Definitely use this company for your move.

I needed a full-service move: packing, moving furniture, handling arcade cabinets/TVs, and the disassembly/assembly of three desks. They recommended a 3-man crew, and while I knew the 2-hour base rate was optimistic, I didn't expect the experience to go downhill so fast. The Pros: * They were flexible with timing. * They quickly disassembled and assembled my desk. * They were willing to work past their standard service hours, staying until 9:30 PM to finish the job. The Cons: * Extreme Disrespect: Despite specifically hiring and paying for packing services, we overheard the crew complaining about having to pack. Even worse, they were caught calling me "incompetent" and saying I didn't know what I was doing while I was in my own home. We addressed it on the spot, but the atmosphere was incredibly hostile and soured the entire day. * Poor Workmanship: We had already pre-packed many of our own boxes, but the items they handled were treated with zero care. * Major Damages: The total cost of the move was $1,195 for 5+ hours of work. However, the day after the move, I discovered over $2,000 worth of items, some irreplaceable, were damaged due to their poor packing. While I appreciate that they stayed late until 9:30 PM to get the furniture moved, the verbal abuse and the destruction of my property made the "cheap" rate a total illusion. Bottom Line: My lesson was learned--don't go cheap. Between the insults and the $2k+ in damages, this was a bad experience. Do not use for FULL SERVICE.
