Business is located in my neighborhood which is across from Longs Drugs. Elmer who is a DJ designed my business logo and banner. Per conversation with David, he gave me the costs for different quantities of business card and cost for a banner. Jpg file of business logo and banner were sent via email. We corresponded several times via email and so he was quick to send me the samples of business card with information that I wanted and banner. He called the following week to tell me my business card and banner were ready to be picked and stayed beyond his business hour so I can pick them up. Banner was made little extra long so I can tuck it in my stuff on the table. My small business is on etsy and has a IG page. David did a great job. read more

I received terrible treatment at this place. The person in charge showed no interest in helping me and constantly changed the prices of his services. The first time I asked about the cost of designing the back of a postcard, he told me $35; the second time I asked, the price went up to $55. Clearly, this guy was trying to take advantage of me. If you want to work with a printer who is honest, affordable, caring, and has tremendous integrity and work ethic, look no further than David; the owner of Copy Hut. David is amazing! The day after Mother's Day, my beautiful dog died, after our vet him gave him a shot of an experimental drug. I was gutted. Unable to sleep or eat I was so depressed I felt like my life was over. I started researching the drug I found that I was not alone. There was a facebook page dedicated to warning people against this drug. There were thousands of stories from people all over the world who's dogs had died. I knew then I had to do something so my dog's death would not be in vain. I made up a poster to warn other dog owners about the side effects of this drug, and started shopping around for quotes. I called Walmart, Ups, Longs, Professional Image, Office Depot, the quotes I was getting for 100 copies were so expensive. Finally I called Copy Hut, and got David. He asked me to email a sample of what I wanted and responded with a quote. It was reasonable and I was thrilled! My order was ready the next day. When I went to pick it up, David had printed off 25 extra copies. He said he wanted to support my cause. For a couple of weeks I was walking the city and putting up posters. I would run out, and print more, and David would always give me a word of support and print off extra copies. Then all of a sudden my posters started being ripped down. The posters were not slanderous, did not say the name of the vet, and were only warning people about researching the drug, before giving it to their dogs. But it was clear, someone didn't want them out there. I felt so discouraged I emailed David and told him I was done and to cancel my next order. David sent me the most beautiful words of encouragement and support, "You have the courage of a lion," he said, "people are talking about this." David's support kept me going in the face of every set back and discouragement. I needed 2800 pages collated into 400 packets ASAP. Printed on regular copy paper in black and white. I emailed them at 11 pm the document I needed printed. They responded the next morning with a reasonable price. I had originally looked at the copy place down the street which was going to charge 3x as much. Dave asked to call them for a rush job and they were able to get it done by the end of their business day. I have never needed to use printing services until now. I am planning a baby shower and needed to print a 24x36 poster and some paper games. It's a small shower so thankfully I didn't have to print out a lot but the prices are already reasonable. The poster was reasonable price and the guy, David I think his name didn't charge me the extra fees because I mentioned I wanted to pay in cash and I only had so much other wise I was gonna opt out of a few prints to cut down on the costs but he was nice enough to give me a little discount. He also was able to get all the printing done the same day! I gave him the files in the morning and in the afternoon he called and said they were ready. It's basically a hole in a wall shopping center near University and Beretania before you hit Burger King and Jiffy Lube. What you need to know 1. Fast 2. Reasonable prices 3. Quality printing/cutting 4. Competent staff 5. Happy Costumers 6. Don't let the small space there fool you. 7. Support more small businesses. The Story: I about had it with Fedex Kinko's. Marketing is the core of having a strong business. I needed a double-sided flyer to describe class schedules and prices. I had previously to used Kinko's for my printing needs... however, the corporate management at Fedex-Kinko's lacked customer service and shortcut quality that often gave mediocre results in printing and cutting. Their website to order online is glitchy and the staff can be quite curt or rude. I had it with their service when I tried to speak with a staff member describing what I wanted and all he said in response is: "We're really busy with other customers. You're just going to have to re-format it yourself, sorry." No more sacrificing quality for the sake of 24 hour convenience! Someone had mentioned a place called "Copy Hut" (cute name, I thought to myself), so imagine my curiosity when I saw the 5-star Yelp! reviews and their professional website. I sent a detailed e-mail to Copy Hut pass their work hours and got a phone call from the owner--David--at about 9:30am the next day. David was helpful in multiple ways: 1. He explained to me what the process would be in making double-sided flyers. 2. He worked with me and toyed around possible measurements. 3. He educated me about what types of paper to use. 4. He offered different prices and he was honest about his quotes/estimates. 5. He called me multiple times to confirm that my order was correct and it was what I truly wanted. 6. He emailed me the final product in case I wanted to re-print at Copy Hut. The Finished Product: 1. My order was completed the following morning. I received a call from one of the staff. 2. It was wrapped neatly in a tight plastic/protective wrap (Kinko's should learn from this). 3. The print quality was sharp. 4. The paper quality had a nice gloss and thicker/professional feel. 5. I remember making copies at Copy Hut back in 2010 when they were still located in a strip mall on the mauka side of the beginning of Beretania by Burger King. Since then they've moved to a new location on S King St on the corner of Hausten across from Da Spot, and the service and quality continue to be excellent. Recently I needed two orders of around 500 copies each - some color and some black and white. I placed my order through email and followed up in store to be sure that everything was okay. Not only did my order come out correctly, but it was also finished early, and I didn't even have to pay a rush fee. I also placed an order for labels to be printed from file, so I dropped off the labels. I always have a crazy time trying to print labels at home, so I was stoked that Copy Hut did it for me without any problems. I can't find anywhere else in town that does copies for as cheap as Copy Hut. Grateful that they're around! read more

If you have a simple job that needs to be done right away, Copy Hut may not be the right place for you, that was my experience. I submitted a job on Sun and went by the shop on Tue only to learn that my copies wouldn't be ready until Thu. That made me sad because I needed the copies Tuesday night! They said it was a holiday and nobody was there to check emails all weekend so the two day turnaround turned into a four day turnaround. Bummer.
