What a terrible printer these people are at following instructions and they charged me more than the quote. While I was there and waited for someone to serve me, they tool awhile because they had lost a customer's order and couldn't find it in their shop. When I told him I just need the copies, he insisted on stalking them and couldn't be convinced just to give me the copies. He wanted to do the entire job himself, and did it anyway despite my insisting I wanted to put the project together myself. Then he charged me 4 times the first time he said my book would cost. He also took a very long time and made several mistakes before he finally got it right. I asked to use the copy machine when I first walked in and he ignored me to look for the customer's lost order. They still hadn't found it when I left an hour and a half later without what I asked for. ​ A day after posting this review I got a phone call from aloha graphics. I did not give my phone number to them. Why did he call me? How did he get my phone number? That is to put me on notice that they read this review and are letting me know they can find me wherever I am. Be aware, this is not your ordinary businessman. These guys go above and beyond. This is a great place to get business cards. I ordered 250 for $45 (one sided, small logo, nothing fancy). If you look online there are companies that will sell you cheaper but then they charge exuberant fees for shipping to Hawaii. I prefer to support locals anyways. AlohaGraphics printed and cut the business cards. Keep in mind you have to design your own and give them a pdf file. They don't make any edits for you. It took me awhile to do this since the template I had from work did not provide good resolution for printing. Staff was quick and asked if I wanted to see the proof before printing. I went there in person and they were able to print that same day within 20 min. Overall I'm happy with the quality of my cards. read more

They always provide quality products and always aim to get you what you need when you need it (as long as it's within a reasonable time bc they're so busy with other projects). I think they need to remind employees of what "aloha" means. Recently I went in to ask about hiring them to make buisness cards. My aim is always to do business locally. There were no customers in the store. I saw the heads of two employees in the distance. After about one minute, someone said he'd be with me. This is actually the best (least horrible) of the three businesses in Honolu that offer Fieldprints services, but they are still rude, unprofessional, and unappreciative of those customers being forced to pay over $50 for fingerprints required by an employer or other agency that has power over their lives. Aloha Graphics takes advantage of this situation by making no effort to provide customer service. I took the first available appointment online which was 9:00. I walked in at 8:52 and was ignored by at least two employees who saw me and refused to acknowledge I was there. I thought they might be pissed off because I was several minutes early. Closer to 9:00, one of the ignorers finally approached me and I said my appointment was 9:00. The other guy who had strenuosly ignored me till then told the first guy that he had to serve another cus first because the guy showed up earlier and had been waiting outside. So some guy chose to come very early, and they made a decision to serve him first even though I was supposed to have the first appointment. After the prints were taken, I was given no information about how I could get a confirmation that the prints were processed and received, and in what timeframe. I had to call the Fieldprints customer service number and it took an unacceptably long time for anyone to answer. Aloha Graphics is located in a scary part of downtown and the shop is gloomy and appears grimy. Overall the experience was quite unpleasant. I probably would have blown it off but I really think the guy who made the decision to bump me out of my appointment was unbelievable! He apparently couldn't care less about my existence while I was hanging around but when I was finally about to receive some service he issued a directive to skip my turn, then he sat back on his butt in the back of the store. I could not believe how unappreciative they are of their customers. read more

Thank you for your accommodating service!! This probably isn't the place to go to if you need something fast (because they're in the heart of the Downtown business chaos). I found out about this place through a recommendation from a friend. The quality job and service is excellent! I came in with an order and asked if I could rush it, but was told they were busy and they can have it ready the next day. I told them I will be back a week later to pick it up. I came back a week later. They had to bind it and asked me if I could come back 30 mins later to pick up my order. I agreed and went to grab a bite. Showed up 30 minutes later (after closing) and called the office and picked up my order. These things take time, so I totally understand! I went to FedEx twice and service was terrible and I was spoken to in a condescending manner, so I don't recommend you go there unless you need to (good luck lol) I appreciate the care and customer service! Aloha Graphics helped me when I didn't feel like figuring out double sided printing at home for programs I made for my father's funeral. I sent them the completed .PDF and they get it done with no further instructions. Very reasonable price saving me time and hassle. I called them and pulled up at the light on Bethel and Hotel and a guy ran out and handed me the brochures - there is no parking in downtown and it's nice that they offer that. Years later I get a job in downtown and call on them to do yet another thing I probably could do but didn't have the tools to do as nicely as they could. I call them, I send an email - I send several emails with revisions - I'm indecisive and I have severe anxiety, annoying customer I'm sure but I'm very nice about it. It's a weird custom size, and has to be scored to fold. Chris gets it done, never looses his temper with my incessant emails and I stopped in once to look at proofs. I was hesitant to switch vendors, having worked with my previous printer for 7 years. All my files were there, the graphic designers knew what I wanted, but the attention to detail was lacking. I was probably 5 years too late in switching. Charles' attention to detail is second to none. He carefully reviews "print ready" files and has caught a couple of mistakes. I had called around town looking to get 25 copies that I needed today and one business had a higher minimum and one business was rude! I went in for FieldPrint fingerprint scanning and was kinda nervous cause of the reviews however I had a great experience here. I was 10 minutes early but was helped immediately and was done in 1 minute. I'd suggest going in the morning before downtown is super busy! The only issue is that parking can be hard- but if someone can drop you off and then swing around the block and pick you up you'll be fine and outta there super quick and easily. read more

In the time a larger print company took to get me a price estimate, Aloha Graphics got the finished product in my hands (I was on a deadline so I just went ahead with the printing). I had a very specific print job that I needed and called around to at least half a dozen local print shops with the instructions about a week and a half before I needed the job completed. AlohaGraphics was the only shop that said they could do it! Full disclaimer: the print job was an enormous pain in the derriere for me and I'm sure for AlohaGraphics too (VERY complicated instructions). However, you would never know. They were friendly, helpful, and did a great job. A weird thing happened: for some reason the screen was showing the correct page, but when it printed it was missing pieces. They meticulously went through each page with me (70 pages x 9 copies) to ensure that everything was there. I have experienced the big national print shop who I can't imagine would have gone to so much trouble, and the local shops that are often much more expensive (one unnamed shop charged me a $5 fee for each pdf years ago. Of course I didn't know that when I emailed it!). AlohaGraphics has great pricing and they were super attentive. I definitely plan to bring additional business to them as they did such a great job. Aloha Graphics came through for my family and I in a very difficult time in our lives with superior and timely customer service and beautifully designed and printed products. One of my family members suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, and we had no experience with funerals and what needed to be printed for them. We had a consultation with Mark and he guided us to think about what we would want, and gave great advice about the printed programs and the large portrait of my loved one. We didn't have a large individual photo (as many people in this situation may not), but Mark was able to scan another photo, crop out my loved one and enlarge it so that it was now a beautiful individual portrait of the appropriate 8"x10" size. Even with enlarging, the photo quality was excellent- sharp lines and details. Mark then connected us with Kenzan, who designed our printed programs from scratch. We looked at some samples, discussed what we liked and disliked, and then wrote up our text and program outline. Kenzan quickly and efficiently integrated the text we wrote with photos that we emailed and laid them out in a way we hadn't even thought about- with the cardstock paper folded vertically rather than horizontally like most other programs. This allowed us to accommodate all of the content of our program in a nice layout. He contacted us several times throughout the process and updated us with new versions of the program- I think there may have been 7 drafts! Each time he listened to our feedback and made thoughtful edits. Additionally, he was able to accommodate our accelerated time frame and had the program designed, finalized, and printed in less than 4 days from me sending him any content to work on. Simply amazing customer service. The final product is truly magnificent, unlike any program I have ever seen- unique in it's layout, colors and graphics beautifully and thoughtfully laid out, and printed very cleanly and crisply. Come on man!!!!! Had fingerprinting done here. Everything was fine until I found out a week later that it wasn't done properly so it wasn't registered. Called the office and they said all they do is the fingerprinting and that they have no control of the outcome. It didn't make any sense to em so I asked over and over again... "So if you didn't do the printing properly I just lose out?!" And the fool kept saying that all they do is the print and have no way of finding out what happen.. Eventually asked for a manager, after about 15 minutes of reasoning he agreed to make some calls for me. I got a call back saying that they entered the same finger twice and for that reason it didn't register. We went back next day to do it over again. Waste of time and blood pressure went up another 20 points. 1 star for you!!!!!! read more
