Went in for lunch and took advantage of the Restaurant week menu. What a treat! I started off with their salad. A lovely presentation which included apples, walnuts and goat cheese. I asked for the dressing on the side so my salad was perfectly dressed. For the entree, I chose the teriyaki salmon. With sticky rice. Due to dietary restrictions I asked for the salmon to be plain- no sauce. The sign of a truly great restaurant is how well they cook the fish. This one was amazing - Flaky and moist and very flavorful. The sticky rice was delicious as well. We ended lunch with their carrot cake. Decadent layers and layers of cake (7 , I think), finished off with whipped cream and a pineapple sauce to break through the sweetness. Best lunch I've had in a long time! read more

Well, this might have been the worst restaurant I've been to in a long time and that's saying a lot considering I was recently in Halifax Nova Scotia. Our waiter gave us a 10-minute lecture about the menu... The menu features fish and various steaks, nothing out of the ordinary, nothing that every other Steakhouse or Fish House in Boston doesn't have. He was a borderline moron. The food was lousy the service was absurd everything was overpriced everything was mediocre it's some semi chain restaurant run by children I would avoid this place at all costs it's worse than mediocre. The the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because Yelp doesn't seem to show one star reviews. read more

Food was good, but not more. Restaurant and bar are very loud. The driver answered one question and ran away before you can ask a second or order. Also, we had three servers at a time read more

Wow this place was beyond delicious!!! Our server was an older gentleman who was very sweet and attentive. He had a great personality which made our first time there even better, he was very helpful with suggestions. But honestly I think that you probably couldn't go wrong with anything here. The only thing that we weren't wowed by was the lobster mash, we both found it very underwhelming. The lack of 5 stars is because they charge $18 for valet here!!! And it's the only form of parking, are you kidding me? The food is pricy enough. Also at the end of the night we had to walk to get our car in a parking lot filled with gravel because the street was closed off!!!! Umm can we say valet REFUND?!?!?! read more

Great customer service and very attentive. Overall, the food is decent and Im sure they believe they are getting the grade they order from their suppplier(s), but I can safely assure you, they are not. Please dont insult me with the price of what is supposed to be Choice dry aged Beef, and then eat as Select grade non aged. I probably should have pointed this out to the waitstaff, but I wasnt in the mood for contention that night. I will return because I believe they do care and have other items I m sure will meet the test and satisfy. But for my first visit, I was less than impressed. read more

My family and I came here for my 21st birthday and had a LOVELY night. My apps were awesome and I got the scallops with risotto for dinner, which tasted amazing! What made the experience even better was our server, Yvonne, who was so warm and kind. She really made my birthday seem special and the other servers who helped her out supplemented the whole night! read more

The first time I went here it was "so so" but the second time was awesome! The staff has really stepped it up since they first opened and the food is always on point. The bar is great and the drinks are always good. The prices are high but relative to the area it's on par. read more

Can't say enough good things about ocean Prime. This was my first time at the restaurant and I loved it. We made a reservation but got there really early so we hung out a the bar for a while. It was a Saturday night so they have live music. The band was phenomenal! They gave the bar so much energy. We were almost disappointed when we were getting seated in the main restaurant except that when we got there the good was amazing. First off, they serve warm pretzels along with bread! All the food we ordered was incredible as was the service. I can't wait to go back! read more

Tomahawk steak was delicious. Surf and turf was also really good. The atmosphere is really nice as well.

Loved it here, the atmosphere was great and the food was even better. Just had some sloppy drunk people try to come by our table and i wasnt pleased with their behavior and how everyone else reacted towards it. read more

So this was our second time going to Ocean Prime. Our first visit was Saturday night. We had such great experience the first time we couldn't wait to go back. Being new to the Boston area (moved from Chi Town) and only going to a handful of places this is the type of bar/restaurant I can see my boyfriend and I going to a lot. The first night we went we ate a ton. I had the french onion soup to start. So good and the cheese was plenty crispy. For dinner our waitress Jessica told us about a surf and turf with filet mignon and crab legs. I opted to just have crab legs and my boyfriend got the steak and crab legs. When I say they were delicious, I mean I had to steal more bites from my boyfriends plate. And the portion was very generous. Everyone wa very attentive. At one point the manager Rebecca (I think) came up and asked how everything was. She told us how there are other ocean prime restaruants through out the company. All the employees took such pride in the place you don't see that often. It was like we had an army of people between the waitress, the manager, and the countless other people who drop food off, fill water, etc. Truly top knotch and first class. By the end of the meal we couldnt possibly eat more. Jessica was great and gave us instructions to save room next time because the desserts were made daily and are to die for. When we went back last night we sat at the bar just to have a few drinks. The experience and service level was the same (and we only had drinks!) The atmosphere was more calm (no live music) and it was perfect to unwind. This place no doubt has been our best bet so far in Boston. read more

Had a good dinner with a big group. The bar had a nice vibe with live music. It's clearly the place to be now. Our server was lovely and so nice to us. But it took forever to get our food and refills on our wine. No refills on our water. I think they need more people. It's expensive too. Don't think I will go back. read more

Food and service was awesome...everything from salad to dessert was delicious. Would definitely go back.

Party of 8 for my wife's 50th Bday. Could not have been more impressed. Was not able to get a reservation but left a note and the manager called me back. After groveling she figured out how to make it work. We sat at a perfect Round Table in the middle of the Dining floor. Service (Derek) was impeccable. He was engaging, educated, attentive to us, and knew his stuff for everything on the menu (will be asking for him next time we're there). Everyone at our table had "the best .... they ever had". I had the twin lambchop Med rare and "it was the best lambchop I ever had". Assistants came and cleared plates/silverware without us knowing they were even there. We were able to bring our own cake which they cut for us out back and served. Cannot recommend it enough. This place just gets what fine dining is supposed to be about. Get the crazy drink w/ the dry ice. It's their signature and the girls thought they were a blast! read more

Overly priced on wine by glass & food. Food is not even that good. I give it a 3 stars is just because of the location, atmosphere & services. read more

Found this place via Yelp and an uber driver recommended it. Everything was as expected! A bit pricey, but what I expected to pay for a high end dinner. Good beer and wine selection. Close to other venues. read more

I've been here a few times. The shrimp cocktail is pretty tasty. The truffled deviled eggs were pretty fabulous and unique. I really enjoyed the sushi lobster roll. I've had the Chilean Sea bass which is prepared wonderfully. Cocktails here are wonderful. A person at my table got the surf and turf and was disappointed her lobster tail was rubbery. And our wait service isn't what I hoped for considering the price of our meal. Overall a pretty solid place, but I'm not sure if it was worth the price of the meal. read more

the food and ambiance was good, but let's just say there are better places in the city to get filet that cost the same.

I love this place... the bar area is cool and the bartenders are engaging and friendly.. the food is excellent and I always look forward to my next meal! read more

We went to Ocean Prime on Saturday night (10/12/19) for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. There were 9 of us. We had never been and went on the advice of many friends. We were beyond impressed with our experience. From the hostess taking our reservation to our waiter, Nico. He was one of the best we have ever had and we have been to a lot of restaurants. Service was beyond exceptional. He was awesome not only with the adults but the kids. Funny, engaging and on it any time we had a request. The food was incredible. Everything Nico recommended was to die for. No one left disappointed. We are still craving the lobster mashed potatoes! They are a must order! The berries and bubbles (signature drink) was super fun and delicious! We will absolutely be back whether it be for a special occasion or just a date night. Can not say enough about how wonderful our night was. Absolutely check out Ocean Prime if you are in Boston! Easy to get to and worth every penny! read more

Had great hopes for this place even though it is technically a chain. Service is great, but the steak tartare tasted like it was HEAVILY tossed in balsamic vinegarette. The truffle popcorn you get for free has more truffle flavor than the "truffle" fries side for $12 read more

First time going and I would definitely recommend. They have affordable yummy lunch specials and 3 pages of wine to choose from. Levi was my server and he was excellent!! He made my experience 10 times more enjoyable. read more

This is in a great location in the seaport. It has an expansive menu of steak and seafood items. Being an Ohio native and having been to many of Cameron Mitchell restaurants I think this outpost is incredibly overpriced for the quality. I appreciate the live music on weekends and great bar ambience but would recommend patrons to choose nearby Mastro's or Del Frisco's for food quality. More importantly, the service. Tonight we had a very rude bartender, a woman named Michela, who alone will prevent me from returning to this establishment. read more

I got engaged this weekend in Boston literally 5 minutes before I got into Ocean Prime. I hadn't told the staff it was going happen before going. They were amazing, everyone was super nice and accommodating. Amazing meal and amazing night, thanks for making our night even more special then it already was! read more

Our party of eight friends went to Ocean Prime last evening to celebrate a 50th wedding anniversary. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to give feedback. The restaurant is quite expensive, but we knew that when we made reservations. I decided to order the lamb dinner, and was quite surprised at the quality of the meal. First of all, I ordered it medium rare, but it was quite rare. I can deal with that. The worst part of the lamb dinner was that it had a gravy all over the meat. The gravy tasted exactly like the canned beef gravy you would buy in a supermarket. The gravy's taste overtook the taste of the lamb, so that it tasted more like a beef dinner than the lamb. I shared this with our head wait staff, and told him I chose not to send it back, but to just share this feedback with the chef(s). I also ordered a side of the lobster risotto, which was excellent. When I was in Ireland two years ago, I ordered three different lamb dinners during the week, which were spectacular. I don't know why this menu option was so bad at Ocean Prime. Don't order it. !! We have a couple more wedding anniversaries next year, including my own, but we won't be going back to Ocean Prime. read more

We came to Ocean Prime on President's Day Weekend. Our server, Yvonne, was prompt, helpful, incredibly warm and friendly! This was our first visit and we had an amazing time! We began with a delicious Caesar Salad, Chilled Crab Cocktail, House Salad and Surf N Turf app. When we ordered the Caesar Salad, we happened to mention that I was sharing it with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised when Yvonne brought it to the table already split into two plates. It was very good and was garnished with nice cheese crisps. Another wonderful surprise was the Chilled Crab Cocktail. It arrived with billowing cold steam all around it! Very cool visual presentation, as well as being fresh, delicious and sweet! Our entrees were also excellent! Upon Yvonne's recommendation for the Chilean Sea Bass, three of us got this dish. We loved it! This was so fresh and beautifully prepared! My husband got the create-your-own Surf N Turf, for which he chose bone-in filet mignon and garlic shrimp. It was so flavorful and tender. Our younger daughter had a teen menu choice - macaroni and cheese, which was delicious. We were very appreciative that Ocean Prime offered this menu because it is a very pricey restaurant. We also appreciated the care and attention Yvonne gave our younger daughter who has nut allergies. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse Cake and the 10 Layer Carrot Cake. Yvonne suggested the Carrot Cake because it is nut-free and amazing. Both desserts were decadently delicious! Ocean Prime's wine selections were amazing, too. We also loved the music they played and the lounge-like atmosphere. It is a very expensive place, but you are paying a premium for fresh, delicious food that is expertly prepared in a beautiful setting with amazing service! read more

This place is amazing. We had a big party with our own private room. Had a range of appetizers that were beautifully presented. I had the sea bass. It was so tender and flaky. Others in my party got the aged steak. Again, tender and juicy, superb. No meal would be complete without dessert. The ten layer carrot cake was awesome. I've seen ten layer other cakes but not carrot. It sealed it for me. Will be returning to get my own steak next time! read more

Oysters and tuna crudo were excellent! Place was swamped, but the bartender Drew was incredibly attentive.

We wanted a memorable experience for our anniversary and Ocean Prime came highly recommended so we decided to check it out. The place is known for both it's steak and seafood dishes and definitely does not disappoint. For starters we both had the French onion soup, which was excellent. For dinner we both got steaks; mine was the Kansas City bone in strip with an au poivre sauce and my better half had a filet with a lobster topping. Both were absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly. We finished our meal by splitting the carrot cake, their signature dessert, also excellent. Special kudos to the service, which was quite attentive without being obtrusive and the ambience of the place was both fresh and classy. My better half and I eat out often, many times at higher end places, and this place rates right up there for us. We highly recommend Ocean Prime and will most definitely be back. read more

My husband and I had a great meal at the bar last night. We started with the ceviche and hamachi - super fresh and flavorful. Followed by a wedge salad and lobster bisque - with tangy buttermilk and rich creamy soup. And then we had the Kansas City ribeye and corn - all amazing. We ended with the 10 layer carrot cake. We can't wait to get back! read more

Why do the severs have to rush their sa to bus the table so fast ? Like let us eat first. There is no rush. I understand you guys want to make money but that is not the way to do it read more

Impeccable service and atmosphere. I visited for a formal dinner with family at the recommendation of my brother, a chef, and the whole family left impressed. I'd rate our visit with four stars, not five, for small reasons - first, the menu was overwhelming and less curated than I expect in high-end restaurants. Second, my king crab legs were cold (can't say I'm a fan of re-heated King Crab!), likely just a timing issue but out of character for such a nice place. Otherwise a delightful visit. read more

I went here for my birthday with my parents. The food was flavorful, fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the teriyaki salmon but also tried some of my mother's scallops. Both entrees were delicious. The complimentary bread and the wedge salad were also great. Our waiter Thiago was phenomenal. He had such a nice way about him. He did a great job of being helpful and ensuring that his tables were having a great experience, without being pushing or hovering over us. You can tell he really enjoys serving his patrons and that their experience matters to him. We couldn't have asked for better. Thank you, Thiago! We'll be back! read more

Ocean Prime - Teriyaki Teriyaki Salmon* - Seafood Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

I got the pork porterhouse cooked medium rare. The majority of the steak tasted very dry. It wasn't very seasoned well throughout and was kind of bland. The veggies were okay though. The price just did not agree with the quality of the dish. read more

Amazing food!!! I had amazing appetizers, mains and dessert was unreal! 10 layer carrot cake is a must.

Had dinner a few nights ago at ocean prime. Service was awesome, our server was Stan and he had great dinner suggestions. The lamb lollipops were the best we have ever had! The swordfish was also delicious. My only complaint is the tables for two are all very close together and it is quite loud. It is hard to hear when you are sitting across from someone, but I would definitely recommend ocean prime! read more

Fantastic meal and great service by Vince. Wife did Chilean Sea Bass - firm, flakey, fantastic. I did surf and turf with filet and scallops, perfectly cooked and great flavor. Split the truffle Mac and cheese, a bit over truffled. Must try the goat cheese pillows for appy.....and they have Blantons bourbon!! read more

My wife and I went to Ocean Prime for the second time last night... we loved it the first time and this time we were not disappointed. The waiter said the tater tots were "life changing"... they were. He did not say the filet mignon was life changing but it was. My Caesar salad wasn't exceptional like the other two items but was very good. My wife said the calamari was the best she'd ever tasted... for the main course she had the haddock special and loved it. I've seen a few reviews on other sites criticizing the service at OP but we thought it was perfect... attentive but not to the point of being annoying. The waiter knew the menu inside and out and provided detailed answers to all our questions. The staff were all very friendly which isn't always the case at fancy restaurants. All in all a fantastic experience and we look forward to going back. read more

This place is deserving of a giant 5 STARS. I have been here for dinner many times. Always great. Had a holiday party here in the Cambridge Room for 14 people recently. Stellar.
