One of the best steakhouses in Boston. Everything is delicious from starters to desserts but of course, especially the steak. Have taken my parents for both their birthdays. Servers are knowledgeable and kind. Calm and sophisticated atmosphere.
Food and service good there wasn't much of a dress code or anything enforced here but we liked everything we had. The bone marrow was a unique take and delish. All the sides and the food yummy. Shrimp cocktail that bf has was good and nice presentation steak and butter with sauces cooked perfect and yummy!! He added a lobster and it was good he said but little flavor. I did love attention to detail from staff. Fixing napkins when we got up etc. nice touches. Corn was yum!!!
What an experience! From the attentive service to the quality food, our whole visit was absolutely divine. The tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection and the sides paired so nicely with it! Highly recommend visiting any of their locations!
This place was great! From the second we sat down happy anniversary was printed on the menu which was so nice. Restaurant was very romantic on the inside - dark lighting with candles and such. Service was great, especially for how packed the place was (but the tables were far enough away from each other that it didn't feel cramped). Steaks were phenomenal, the whipped potatoes were also excellent. The chocolate cake was huge and once again they wished us a happy anniversary. The complimentary bread was also delicious, some of the softest rolls we've had. Overall would definitely return if back in Boston, 10/10 experience.
I've always loved Mooo... dating back to when the original Beacon Hill location first opened. If you're staying at XV Beacon, Mooo there is certainly great to have right there. Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I also appreciated the excellent service from their new sommelier. Mooo continues to set the standard for the modern Boston steakhouse experience. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Love this restaurant so much. It is such a classy elegant experience from the lightening to all the small touches that elevates the space. It's definitely pricey because it's an upscale restaurant but it's worth every dollar. The steak frites are perfectly seasoned and delicious. The desserts are decadent and delicious. I want to come back to try the bananas foster it looks insane. I definitely recommend this place.
This is place is firing on all cylinders and is apparent the second you walk in. I was greeted right away and luckily they had a spot open at the bar. The bar staff was super attentive and friendly. For my cocktail, I ordered a devils advocate and it was very good. Everything here is pricey, but you get what you pay for here. The lobster bisque was the best I have ever had. The puff pastry top sets it above others I have had. I would go back just for the bisque. For my main, I ordered the beef Wellington and a side of carrots. The Wellington was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The mushrooms along with the steak was a match made in heaven. The carrots were simple, but extraordinary good. Problem was I didn't have much room for them. I would say that my meal was a top 5 for the year...easily. I was really impressed with the staff that were not only handling the busiest time of dinner, but one of Bostons finest decided that 7 PM was a great time for a health inspection. Her presence did slow things down, but totally expected and the staff handled graciously. Boston health department.....use some common sense.
We had been to the original Mooo location in Beacon Hill and had loved the food and upscale vibe. While that was closer to our hotel on this visit, it was near impossible to get a reservation there, so we wound up at the newer Seaport location. The space was just as elegant, but much more industrial. The hostess greeted us and immediately had us seated at a comfortable booth. Our server was very nice and energetic. She asked if we wanted bread service, to which we eagerly agreed. We knew that their buttery, doughy, salted Parker House rolls were phenomenal! We enjoyed our bread with some drinks. I started with a cocktail called Devil's Advocate, which included Ghost Tequila, cucumber, pineapple, and some other ingredients that I am forgetting now. The drink wound up being more strong than it was fruity. I was not a huge fan, so I switched to a glass of the 2023 Atzei 'Saragat' Vermentino from Isola dei Nuraghi, Sardinia, Italy, which I adored! The white wine was complex in flavor, but had a smooth finish with low acidity. It also had a slight effervescence, which was enjoyable. Despite our several rounds of bread service, I was somehow able to finish my entree of the Faroe Island Salmon. The fish was cooked through, as I had asked, but it could have used some salt or seasoning. However, it was served over a delicious blend of summer corn (kernels and puree), heirloom tomatoes, Chantarelle mushrooms, and fresh basil. I heard rave reviews on the steaks from others at the table. Mooo proved to be one of the best and most consistent steakhouse experiences in Boston, if not in general.
Moo Seaport was a great experience overall. The calamari was really good, the rib eye was cooked perfectly, and the swordfish was amazing. The waygu dumplings were outstanding and honestly I could have eaten them as a whole meal. The lobster mac and cheese was a huge disappointment though. It was dry, poorly seasoned, and had no flavor. For an establishment of this caliber that dish should have been incredible, but instead it was a waste of money. I was really excited to try it for my birthday, but it fell completely flat. On the upside, our server Vanessa was amazing. The service was excellent, the decor is beautiful, and the bathrooms were super clean. Price points were what you would expect for this kind of restaurant, so no complaints there. The only two downfalls for me were the mac and cheese and the banana foster. I would never order either of them again, even if they were free. As someone who dines around the city often, I know what to expect from restaurants at this level, and Moo mostly delivered. I will definitely go back, but I will absolutely stay away from the mac and cheese and the banana foster. Everything else was amazing.
Food was really good. Attention to detail re: my celiac/gluten free precautions were great. Steak frites was cooked to the correct temp and the potatoes were rich and hit the spot. Wedge was different, but tasty. The shirley temple was not that good. The dessert! Probably my highlight. Banana desserts are rare, so the banana foster was a treat. Especially because the cake was gluten free. They also had a proper gluten free bread service. Praise be! Lol. The ambiance was okay. Felt very Chicago/dark/moody. More industrial than chic, if that makes sense. Where improvement could be used is in the time from initial seating to the waiter coming to the table. It was at least 15 minutes and I thought that was crazy. Even still, I'd return if back in town.
Moo is hands down our favorite restaurant in the Seaport. The vibe is lively but relaxed. Top notch service starts at check-in. The food somehow always tastes better than the last. We brought my hubby's parents here while they were in town. My MiL started out with the lobster bisque and what a presentation! She said it was delicious. My FIL ordered a filet and his own side of Yukon gold mashed potatoes. We ordered a flight of sides for the table! I ordered the salmon plate and my hubby ordered the lobster. My MIL got a filet as well. For drinks, I went with my usual - devil's advocate. And you know we enjoyed the fresh Parker house rolls with butter. We were too full to enjoy dessert but we took home their lovely chocolates. Everything was perfect per usual. In fact, my FIL said "this is the best meal I've ever had!" Thank you, Moo Seaport for another memorable dinner!
Medium Ribeye is my order. Any steak you get at this restaurant will be great! The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. Recommend the Milk and Cookies for dessert. The restaurant made our engagement night so special, I called ahead to let them know I'd be asking the big question and when we arrived after our proposal at Seaport Harbor, the restaurant had printed our names with a special celebration note on top. It was so sweet, the menu is now a souvenir of our engagement night.
First time coming to Mooo in Seaport and was very surprised at how full it was for a Monday night. The main dining area is slightly dark, but had a romantic vibe for a date night. The menu has an wide variety of options for appetizers and entrees for the steak as well as non-steak lover. All of the food items we ordered were delicious. Steaks were perfectly cooked all around. The American Wagyu Cap steak was extraordinary and melted in our mouths. The filet was also really good and flavorful. Sides of broccolini and lobster Mac and cheese were good, but thought the broccolini could be more flavorful. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. The service overall was good, a little slow but it was a very busy Monday which i wasn't sure if they expected the crowds. Our server however was very friendly and we didn't have any issues at all during our service. Looking forward to returning!
Celebrating my Girlfriends birthday, she was craving steak so after a little research I landed on Mooo... The seaport location was the one closest to the hotel, so I made my reservations and headed out. The dinner started with a lovely complimentary bread service which seemed like pretzel bread but I'm not %100 sure. Bread was pillowy, soft, and hot. Drinks came and our cocktails were amazing. Then came dinner, we both had Sirloins, just mine came with an Au Poivre sauce. Mine was cooked to the desired temperature, but unfortunately my girlfriend's steak was a little over. We both had requested medium rare and hers came out closer to medium well. Unfortunate but the flavor was definitely still there. With the price tag associated with this place it's hard to say that I got my moneys worth in there, because all in all it did feel a little underwhelming for a $400 tab. Ambiance wise it's a gorgeous upscale restaurant that definitely demands respect, and even comes with great service but the plates were a little boring. It's a shame because the flavor and the idea is definitely there, execution needs some work. read more

3.5 stars This place came highly recommended and is considered a "high end" steakhouse so I was expecting a lot and unfortunately the experience fell short. I will say Service was SPECTACULAR. All the staff were friendly, accommodating. Alex our server was knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. The best bite of the dinner was undoubtedly the wagu dumplings, they were rich but well balanced. The octopus appetizer was over charred, the burnt taste was the top note, making it bitter. Sadly, our mains were also charred/burnt. The steak for the steak frites, we asked for medium well, but was really charred, again taking away from the taste. The branzino skin was burnt and the capers that came with it so charred to the point of being dry, charcoal dust balls. The French fries and mashed potatoes were well executed as was the au poivre sauce. Dessert was impressive, the bananas foster can easily serve 3 or 4 people, I loved the brûléed bananas and the presentation was beautiful. Overall, there were some standout dishes but if an appetizer and a dessert overshadow the mains, something is amiss. read more

The service here is amazing the server was very attentive and made our anniversary very special. The ambience of the place is very nice and also welcoming. Everyone was very kind when walking in like the hostess even to the person always filling up the water. The food was phenomenal the ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium and the bone marrow was so flavorful. The side flight was also delicious and very filling. I shared all of this between two people and it was more than enough food to share. Overall the place and experience here was all fantastic and I would come back here! read more
We always sit at the bar at any restaurant we go to - Mooo did not disappoint! We knew what we wanted to order before even going in and that we would be sharing because of the richness of the dishes. Shout out to the amazing staff for taking time to split our bisque and give each terrine lobster meat and its own puff pastry!! What a treat! The Wellington was perfectly done and delicious as well. I am very critical of expensive places because I need the experience to be worth how much we're paying... and this place was. The service was absolutely incredible. We had multiple team members taking care of us and they looked like a well-oiled machine. Shoutout Bruno who was a wonderful server and recommended one of the best steaks we've ever had. What we ordered: -Wedge Salad: 10/10, actually incredible, split it in half for us and had a ton of toppings. -Wagyu Dumplings: 8.5/10, beautiful presentation and the meat was very tasty I was just bored. -Aged rib-eye: 9.8/10, gigantic, very flavorful, cooked perfectly -Wagyu Cap: 10/10, one of THE BEST steaks we've ever had. Bruno said this would be his last meal and we agree. -Side Flight 8/10: I think this is well worth the money because it lets you try a bunch instead of paying for individual sides (steaks do not come with free sides). I loved the whipped potatoes and creamed spinach, truffle fries were decent, and I hate mushrooms so I didn't try them. -Chocolate cake: 7/10, beautiful presentation, the ganache and mousse were good but the actual cake was dry, surprisingly kind of boring. Came to Boston for a business trip and our group came here for dinner. The service here was top notch, our waitress was wonderful. The menu had a great selection of fancy foods. Everything came out in a timely manner. Presentation and portions were great. Price is definitely priced more on the fine dining side. The mocktails here were fabulous and the wine was great. The steaks were cooked perfectly and everything we had was really good. read more
Amazing steakhouse experience Came for some fancy solo dining my first day in Boston during my trip earlier in the year. I debated for the longest time whether I make the trip here or skip dinner entirely to sleep but boy was I glad I chose food over sleep. I snagged a last minute res here since the beacon hill location was fully booked. Mooo seaport is located on a quieter street in the seaport area. The entrance leads to a split level foyer with private dining and bathrooms downstairs and upstairs for the restaurant and bar. Interior has a typical high end steakhouse vibe with dim lighting. Clientele looked to be mostly those celebrating a special occasion or business types leveraging a corporate expense account. Service was wonderful - hostess was kind during check in and coat check, all servers were very friendly and attentive, and I think the manager came to check in at each table as well which was a nice touch. Ordered a drink (nicely bitter with refreshing taste), salad (nice salad dressing),and American wagyu filet mignon (chef's kiss). The meal also came with rolls and house made mallomars. I loved every dish. The filet was top notch and tasted amazing with their butter - don't be afraid to slather on a generous amount. I also enjoyed the rolls very much which was served warm with butter and honestly would have loved to have taken the leftover ones if I didn't have most of my meals planned out for the trip. Mallomars was a lovely sweet treat to finish. I recall the bone marrow and sides being good as well when I had tried this place many years ago. All in all, 5 star steakhouse experience! 1/3/26 My husband and I had reservations here. As soon as we entered the door a beautiful atmosphere. We sat at the bar and grabbed a drink before our reservation and table was ready. Amazing drinks great bartenders. Our waitress Ashley was incredible! Very friendly and helpful. She was so knowledgeable and offered great suggestions! We started with calamari and bone marrow just fabulous! My husband got the wagyu cap absolutely fabulous! This was our first time at mooo. We highly recommend and we will be returning in the future! read more

I love this place. I think it has the best steak in Boston. Also the seaport is slightly better than their beacon hill location. The restaurant is nice inside although dark! Why do steak places keep it pitch black? The service is always great and attentive. Was my gf's bday so they printed it on the menu and dessert. I had the rib eye of course and she had the steak frites. I started with the tuna tartare and we shared a ceasers. Had the creme brule for dessert read more

The food and beverages were delicious. Vodka martini and woodford reserve Manhattan were both very well done by the bar! The dumpling appetizer was amazing! I would absolutely order this again on a future visit!!! Wagu fillet, and Wagu cap steaks were cooked perfectly, tasted delicious and were well worth the price. We had the broccolini, carrots, lobster Mac and cheese as well as the tater tots for sides, all of them were great choices! Service was touch and go. Our waiter did a great job. Checking in just often enough, giving us the correct amount of time to view the menu and make our decisions, providing recommendations and advice. His assistant was very grabby, taking food while we were still working on the appetizer and rolls. Our water glasses were allowed to get empty on two separate occasions. All said, I would come back for a dinner with friends but I wouldn't make this my first choice on a first date or special occasion due to the service issues. read more
Mooo... Seaport is an amazing spot for a special occasion, and they truly go above and beyond to make you feel special. From start to finish, everything was impeccable--starting with the heavenly bread (seriously, so good). We noted our anniversary in the reservation, and they printed "Happy Anniversary" on our menus--such a thoughtful touch! They also wrote it on our dessert, which made the night feel even more special. As for the food--the branzino was awesome, the steak was perfectly cooked, and the truffle fries were absolutely incredible. 1000/10. The interior has a dark, moody vibe, which adds to the upscale, intimate atmosphere. Super cute intimate dinner restaurant in the heart of Boston seaport. My boyfriend took me out here on a date and I thought it was so nice. Servers were attentive and food was good as expected. Came here for my birthday and the restaurant and staff made the experience so special and intimate. We ordered way too much food since we thought the portions weren't going to be big, but we were wrong. I would highly recommend the bone marrow. It came with bread that just paired so well and the bone marrow itself was large and flavorful, probably the best I'd ever had! Also, the complimentary bread was filled with so much flavor. I usually don't eat the initial bread rolls but I finished all of the ones here. They also gave us some complimentary dessert for my birthday celebration. This is such a special place to celebrate and special occasions, just let them know! read more

It was A-mazing!!! I've been waiting to find the perfect place to order a full A5 Wagyu steak.... where it would actually deliver. And it so did!!!! If I lived in Boston, I would be a regular. Sat at the bar and it was perfect! read more
Our original reservations were through Open table and we were only allowed up to 5 for 2 reservations (our party was for 14 and we were going to adjust) however at the eleventh hour we had a change our res dropped to only 8. The restaurant was so accommodating and even asked if they could cancel the second res for us. We arrived earlier than our allotted time and they seated us without reserve. Our server was outstanding (Brad I think?) and he was helpful, engaging and friendly. We had only a few starters, a soup here, a salad there and maybe an app. All entrees were ordered and cooked to perfection. I was enamored by the sides and asked if I could order all sides as my entree and of course they granted my request. Hubs and I split a wedge (he hates tomatoes so I said I'd take his) and we asked for extra blue cheese crumbles. They split the salads perfectly (mine with all the tomatoes) and even the extra crumbles. They brought me a HOT place for my sides and to have a taste or two of the hubs' steak. Cocktails were spot on. We all were so stuffed there was no desserts ordered. Leftovers were packaged up nicely and presented in a brown bag with handles. Overall a really enjoyable dinner for a random Thursday evening. Would def return! read more
OK, do I recommend this place? Yes, I do. Us the food good yes it is. Is the inside beautiful, you bet. The only issue was the service started out awesome but as the night progressed it proportionally decreased . I found myself needing to flag down staff for water, another drinks desert and the check. This place is not cheap, definitely one of the more expensive dinners I had in town that week. read more
We were staying down town and for some reason when I made reservations it was for September so I changed it to the seaport which had the time slot I was looking for. I am glad I did, they weren't packed and the waitress was phenomenal. She gave a lot of ideas and recommendations which I like when I go to a restaurant out of town to see what people like to order. She recommended the boan marrow which was outstanding and I wanted the wedge salad because I like trying everyone's so i know if it was good or not and this one had the perfect amount of crumbled blue cheese and dressing. I have to say it's one of my favorites. I had the age dried ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and there was a sauce that came with it and that was good. The life of me I can't remember what it was called. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious. My wife had the Branzino which is a white fish with brown butter, she really liked it. They had a crowd and it was a nice restaurant and management check on you which is a plus. I would definitely go back when I go back to Boston. read more
