I've always loved Mooo... dating back to when the original Beacon Hill location first opened. If you're staying at XV Beacon, Mooo there is certainly great to have right there. Given the choice, however, I now prefer the modern, polished, almost clubby feel of this location in the Seaport. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it's a beautifully designed space. For larger groups, they have a few round tables that work especially well, including one that perfectly accommodated our party of seven. You can always count on a great dining experience at any of Chef Jamie Mammano's restaurants. His commitment to the highest quality chow, attentive service, fine wines, and an elegant atmosphere has made him one of Boston's most respected restaurateurs. Our meal here was spectacular. The cocktails were perfectly crafted, and it's hard to go wrong with anything on the menu. Standout starters included the Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Tuna Tartare, and the Dry-Aged Bolognese Lumache. For entrées, we shared several different cuts of steak, all expertly prepared and presented sliced for the table. The Beef Wellington is also fantastic here. The sides are uniformly excellent, but don't miss the Char-Roasted Heirloom Carrots with Honey and the Yukon Gold Potatoes. Desserts are equally impressive. Highly recommend both the Milk & Cookies and the Bananas Foster. I'd like to especially thank our waitress, who provided exceptional service and helped make the evening truly special. We were celebrating my son's graduation, and her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail enhanced what was already a memorable occasion. I recently took my team to Mooo to celebrate them for an amazing 2025. The experience was excellent and worthy of a 5 star review. The reservation process was easy and a group of 5 was easily accommodated on the day and time requested. We arrived together after a short walk from the office. Bonus points to Moooo for not only having complimentary coat check, but also safe bag storage knowing much of their clientele on a weeknight is in transit from the office to home. Please people, don't forget to tip the coat check girls, it is only the right thing to do. Seated at our table the restaurant was initially fairly empty, but filled up nicely while we are already enjoying cocktails, wine, and appetizers. The long bar followed by tables of various sizes filled the restaurant, but it never was too loud and there was plenty of space between tables that you did not feel like you were sitting on top of each other or listening to their conversation more then the person across from your own table. Like most fine dining experiences, the complimentary rolls were served warm and lathered in melted butter. Sinful!. We ordered several appetizers for the table to share including tuna tartare which was very tasty and recommended. I also recommend the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings which were both delicate and savory. Lastly, the calamari was crispy and hot with the right amount of heat from the lemon and herb aioli. To accompany the entrees we ordered the broccolini, Yukon gold potatoes and the highly recommended tater tots. The only issue we had was with the tots which we collectively thought were both slightly over cooked and tasted "different". Said another way, I have never had a tater tot that didn't leave me wanting to eat them one after another until they were all gone, but this one was more than enough and more than 3/4 of the serving was left for the bus-person. Three of us ordered the 8oz Omaha filet which were cooked to perfection and delicious. Why is there not a 12 oz offering like most steak houses? Literally mine looked like it was 4 oz on the large, stark white plate when served. Thankfully being cooked to a perfect medium rare and accompanies by a bordelaise sauce which is also a rarity to find offered, was a treat. The prime New York sirloin and prime ribeye were equally cooked perfectly and delicious. We passed on dessert or after dinner drinks, but certainly enjoyed our visit. We had been to the original Mooo location in Beacon Hill and had loved the food and upscale vibe. While that was closer to our hotel on this visit, it was near impossible to get a reservation there, so we wound up at the newer Seaport location. The space was just as elegant, but much more industrial. The hostess greeted us and immediately had us seated at a comfortable booth. Our server was very nice and energetic. She asked if we wanted bread service, to which we eagerly agreed. We knew that their buttery, doughy, salted Parker House rolls were phenomenal! We enjoyed our bread with some drinks. I started with a cocktail called Devil's Advocate, which included Ghost Tequila, cucumber, pineapple, and some other ingredients that I am forgetting now. The drink wound up being more strong than it was fruity. I was not a huge fan, so I switched to a glass of the 2023 Atzei 'Saragat' Vermentino from Isola dei Nuraghi, Sardinia, Italy, which I adored! The white wine was complex in flavor, but had a smooth finish with low acidity. It also had a slight effervescence, which was enjoyable. Despite our several rounds of bread service, I was somehow able to finish my entree of the Faroe Island Salmon. The fish was cooked through, as I had asked, but it could have used some salt or seasoning. However, it was served over a delicious blend of summer corn (kernels and puree), heirloom tomatoes, Chantarelle mushrooms, and fresh basil. The waygu dumplings were outstanding and honestly I could have eaten them as a whole meal. The lobster mac and cheese was a huge disappointment though. It was dry, poorly seasoned, and had no flavor. For an establishment of this caliber that dish should have been incredible, but instead it was a waste of money. I was really excited to try it for my birthday, but it fell completely flat. On the upside, our server Vanessa was amazing. The service was excellent, the decor is beautiful, and the bathrooms were super clean. Moo is hands down our favorite restaurant in the Seaport. The vibe is lively but relaxed. Top notch service starts at check-in. The food somehow always tastes better than the last. We brought my hubby's parents here while they were in town. My MiL started out with the lobster bisque and what a presentation! She said it was delicious. My FIL ordered a filet and his own side of Yukon gold mashed potatoes. We ordered a flight of sides for the table! I ordered the salmon plate and my hubby ordered the lobster. My MIL got a filet as well. For drinks, I went with my usual - devil's advocate. And you know we enjoyed the fresh Parker house rolls with butter. [Out-of-Towner Review] Don't judge this spot by its unserious name... I WRONGLY judged a restaurant by their name! Mooo....Seaport restaurant name seemed so unserious, I doubted their food could be that good as a high end steak house! I was so wrong, and then some. Don't get me wrong the food was divine, but honestly the service is what has me in awe. We walked in as a group of three with no reservation. They were booked, so we planned to leave. But I asked the hostess where she recommended we try next, specifically looking for steak, since Poppa Bear was celebrating his retirement anniversary. She went and chatted with her Manager and he decided he would find a table for us. It was incredibly kind and generous of them. It just elevated at the table. The menus had "congratulations" personalized on them. The waiters first sentence was to congratulate Pops on his celebratory moment. And from there it was high end service you'd except from a steakhouse. Now, the food. I went with the bone-in Ribeye, which was cooked perfectly and came with a side of maître d'hôtel butter to top the meat. YUM! We also ordered the Mooo... flight of sides - fries, mashed potatoes, exotic mushrooms, and creamy spinach. I also ordered the Autumn Market Veggies, not pictured. Beurre maître d'hôtel is a classic French compound butter made from softened butter, fresh parsley, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Then Pops wanted dessert and they even personalized that too. It honestly does not take too much to make me feel like a valued patron. I believe they went above and beyond, from fitting us in to celebrating my Dad in many ways! First time coming to Mooo in Seaport and was very surprised at how full it was for a Monday night. The main dining area is slightly dark, but had a romantic vibe for a date night. The menu has an wide variety of options for appetizers and entrees for the steak as well as non-steak lover. All of the food items we ordered were delicious. Steaks were perfectly cooked all around. The American Wagyu Cap steak was extraordinary and melted in our mouths. The filet was also really good and flavorful. Sides of broccolini and lobster Mac and cheese were good, but thought the broccolini could be more flavorful. Drinks were great and reasonably priced. The service overall was good, a little slow but it was a very busy Monday which i wasn't sure if they expected the crowds. My foodie friends club and I came to Mooo's Seaport location recently for dinner. The venue is larger than it appears from the outside and allows larger parties than the Beacon Hill location. I started off with the highly recommended Wagyu dumplings, which I did think were quite delicious. I'm normally a filet mignon fan but decided to mix it up with the American Wagyu Filet Mignon. I've absolutely delighted in my A5 Wagyu experiences in Japan--it's a whole thing--and was interested in the American filet version. While it was certainly an enjoyable steak, it wasn't one that I would go out of my way to order again at this price point. The au poivre sauce was interestingly less peppery and sweeter than I was expecting. The heirloom carrots were enjoyable, although we were all a bit surprised to see that the dish comes as two huge carrots rather than an assortment of smaller ones. They were tender, though! Service was friendly but slightly disjointed with longer than expected gaps between courses. I will say that one of my friends tried A5 Wagyu for the first time and fell in love with it. On the whole, it was a very pleasant experience but not a spectacular one for me, so I'll likely look to another local option when I'm looking for a fine steakhouse experience. read more

We had multiple team members taking care of us and they looked like a well-oiled machine. Shoutout Bruno who was a wonderful server and recommended one of the best steaks we've ever had. What we ordered: -Wedge Salad: 10/10, actually incredible, split it in half for us and had a ton of toppings. -Wagyu Dumplings: 8.5/10, beautiful presentation and the meat was very tasty I was just bored. -Aged rib-eye: 9.8/10, gigantic, very flavorful, cooked perfectly -Wagyu Cap: 10/10, one of THE BEST steaks we've ever had. Amazing steakhouse experience Came for some fancy solo dining my first day in Boston during my trip earlier in the year. I debated for the longest time whether I make the trip here or skip dinner entirely to sleep but boy was I glad I chose food over sleep. The entrance leads to a split level foyer with private dining and bathrooms downstairs and upstairs for the restaurant and bar. Interior has a typical high end steakhouse vibe with dim lighting. Clientele looked to be mostly those celebrating a special occasion or business types leveraging a corporate expense account. Service was wonderful - hostess was kind during check in and coat check, all servers were very friendly and attentive, and I think the manager came to check in at each table as well which was a nice touch. Ordered a drink (nicely bitter with refreshing taste), salad (nice salad dressing),and American wagyu filet mignon (chef's kiss). The meal also came with rolls and house made mallomars. I loved every dish. The filet was top notch and tasted amazing with their butter - don't be afraid to slather on a generous amount. I also enjoyed the rolls very much which was served warm with butter and honestly would have loved to have taken the leftover ones if I didn't have most of my meals planned out for the trip. Mallomars was a lovely sweet treat to finish. I recall the bone marrow and sides being good as well when I had tried this place many years ago. All in all, 5 star steakhouse experience! Attended a business dinner at the seaport location and they have a great function space downstairs. The staff were attentive right as we arrived and maintained impeccable service over the course of the evening. The passed appetizers were excellent including the waygu dumplings! Obviously when preparing for a large pre-fixe it can be difficult to hit the mark but the dinner was solid including a wonderful Caesar salad, a well cooked filet mignon and a trio of desserts. Our original reservations were through Open table and we were only allowed up to 5 for 2 reservations (our party was for 14 and we were going to adjust) however at the eleventh hour we had a change our res dropped to only 8. The restaurant was so accommodating and even asked if they could cancel the second res for us. We arrived earlier than our allotted time and they seated us without reserve. Our server was outstanding (Brad I think?) and he was helpful, engaging and friendly. We had only a few starters, a soup here, a salad there and maybe an app. All entrees were ordered and cooked to perfection. I was enamored by the sides and asked if I could order all sides as my entree and of course they granted my request. Hubs and I split a wedge (he hates tomatoes so I said I'd take his) and we asked for extra blue cheese crumbles. They split the salads perfectly (mine with all the tomatoes) and even the extra crumbles. They brought me a HOT place for my sides and to have a taste or two of the hubs' steak. We enjoyed the raw oysters, wagyu beef dumplings, honey glazed carrots, garlic spinach, asparagus, mashed potatoes, fries, and lobster Mac and cheese. She recommended the boan marrow which was outstanding and I wanted the wedge salad because I like trying everyone's so i know if it was good or not and this one had the perfect amount of crumbled blue cheese and dressing. I have to say it's one of my favorites. I had the age dried ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and was flavorful and there was a sauce that came with it and that was good. What a beautiful restaurant! I felt like I drove from New York, threw my stuff into my hotel room and ran to Mooo... (How many dots are there in the title?) Somehow I drove to Boston while they're still having a wicked winter in April. I'm cold and wet, I check in with the hostess stand and I want to get into a nice Bourbon Cocktail as soon as possible. First off, what is with these prices?! Everything is priced, I think even higher than New York City. An Iceberg Wedge is $23 bucks?? The funny part is, the place was packed out on a Wednesday night. I read the menu online so I know what I want to order, there are two Sirloin Steaks on the menu, grass fed and prime. I want to see what my waiter is going to say so I chill. Speaking of, there is no description of how the meat is sourced at Mooo. Is it USDA Prime beef? Is there an aging process? How are the steaks cooked? The website says Chef/Owner Jamie Mammano uses his culinary expertise to create classic, yet modern steakhouse dishes. Great! I still want to know about the steaks. A waiter comes to the table and drops off four hot Parker Rolls. Next, my waiter comes to the table. I order a glass of Rioja, a side of Broccolini and I said Sirloin Steak. Very good sir. $59 for both Sirloin steaks, I'm not sure what he told the kitchen but it would have been nice to know more about the steak cut. My wine? Perfection The Broccolini? It has charred bits on top that made this very cravable. Now add the Spicy Calabrian Chili & Garlic? Incredible chef'd up side dish. The Sirloin? Cooked to perfection. That's the great thing about a Sirloin, it's a nice big cut to fill your belly. There was also a Sirloin with au poivre, I wasn't in the mood to have something too peppery. The herb butter that came with the steak, I laid on the flavor! Very good. One of the Sirloins that was served to me, the chef cooked it just right. Overall, I had an enjoyable meal. After dinner, I'm shown a dessert menu. My hotel is close to The North End and Modern Pastry is calling me. Mooo...? This is an upscale and trendy steakhouse with a romantic atmosphere. You need to walk up a flight of stairs to get access and the toilets are located downstairs which is not ideal. The service is impeccable, fluid and very professional. I was not crazy about their steak tartare where the chunks of meat were too big and it lacks capers and a fresh mayonnaise. Their fillet mignon was cooked to perfection and I absolutely loved their cream of spinach. Their truffle fries is also a must try. They have a great wine list. Their Caymus 50 years was a thing of beauty; full body rich in berries and with an aromatic spicy finish. Overall we had a great diner with Harrison and Sean to celebrate these two Bostonian freshmen. The restaurant is in a dark feutre decor where you can barely read anything. read more

I'm not a huge steak person but I'd rate this place as definitely worth a special occasion. The inside is classic steakhouse decor, all dark mood lighting and wood paneling. Here were my favorites: 1. Parker house rolls that they start you off at the beginning. 5/5. 10/10. So, so hard to resist filling up on these before all the other dishes start rolling out. This was perhaps the best bite of the night. 2. East coast oysters: super fresh and large. My heart hurts when ordering oysters at such a premium because there are some good $1 oyster specials and it's not too much work/expensive to buy a bunch and shuck yourself, but these were excellent. 3. Roasted mushrooms side: super decadent and rich. Everything else we ordered was incredible and reflected extensive attention to detail - for instance, the Caesar had these beautiful garlic croutons and generous sheets of Parm, while the complimentary dessert made in-house were these pretty dark-chocolate covered marshmallows with a graham cracker bottom. The octopus app had neat little roasted slivers of tomato and potato that rivaled the octopus itself. Things I would skip next time: the creme brûlée. I was stuffed beyond measure but still wanted something sweet. It was good but I was too full to truly appreciate it; plus, they give you a free sweet bite. I would definitely sit at the bar and get the burger. Plus the fries. PARKING: Unless you have a parking permit, there are virtually no street options; we spent a long time circling around the restaurant before giving up and parking in a lot about 10 minutes away. read more
