If you have the money I would defiantly recommend going there. I liked there food and staff. The best part is that I had my daughter with me and they don't have a kids menu but the chef said he'll make anything she wants. Luckily she is simple and just wanted spaghetti and meatballs but it was delicious. I don't know if Ill be back it is a little out of my price range when I can get the same food and quality other places but defiantly enjoyed myself. read more

The shrimp with Tabasco cream sauce is fab! Service is very corporate- wish they would let staff have one personality. All of us in a party of five enjoyed our entree's. read more

Beyond phenomenal experience!! We sat at the bar and each bar tender was very attentive the entire evening. We ordered the lobster and filter with oscar. Cooked 100% perfectly! The dessert was what sealed the experience! I have a severe gluten allergy. This prevented me from having any dessert on the menu. So the chef custom made a double chocolate mousse. Hands down one of the best dining experiences I've had!! read more

This restaurant has some of the best seafood I have ever had along with a bunch of great steaks and sides. The restaurant has a great atmosphere right in Boston's seaport district although it could have better parking. When you go here you have to try the prime roll which is a tuna roll with beef carpaccio on the top of each piece. It is very unique and combines two amazing appetizers into one delicious meal. read more

This is really a restaurant you don't want to skip if you are around seaport and enjoy a good food. Starting from the fun and different berries & bubbles as a cocktail, Surf n Turf that and Ahi Tuna Tartare for appetizers that both will melt in your mouth. Filet Mignon was cooked on point and all the sides are delicious but my favorites are the black truffle mac & cheese and roasted brussels sprouts. Definitely one of my new favorite steak house. read more

We celebrated our first anniversary here and we couldn't be more pleased. I ordered the crab cake with chophouse corn and my husband had the bone-in ribeye. The ribeye was cooked to perfection, and both the corn and crab cakes were delicious. Our server, Levi was very attentive and personable and recognized that we were celebrating a special event. Even one of the managers, Julie stopped by and congratulated us. They were so sweet and offered us complimentary champagne and dessert which made us feel extra special. We are so happy we chose Ocean Prime to celebrate our special day. read more

I can't believe I even have to give this place a star. They are NOT meeting COVID 19 guidelines and we had to cancel our reservations after waiting 30+ minutes for out door seating we reserved a week before and they confirmed the DAY OF. Absolute joke. read more

The food was absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed our time here. The accompanied entertainment of a live band enlightened the experience even more. Nothing bad to say about this place. read more

I came in on a busy Thursday night, tons of conventions happening in the Seaport area and waited 15 minutes or so for a table. Overall restaurant decor and ambiance was of high quality. Service was alright, although not as considerate as preferred. Overall, would not be my preferred restaurant, but I'm not generally fond of haute American cuisine. read more

came here for one of my closest friend's graduation dinner! the restaurant ambience is amazing. its pretty much similar to any other high end seafood/steakhouse. great quality, great service, and great bathrooms (no seriously. they provide mouth wash, hair pins, tampons, whatever you need for the ladies room). we started off with the smoking shellfish tower (oysters, crab legs, lobster, shrimp, and i forgot what type of fish meat. it was AMAZING. the seafood is so fresh, and they give you an individual butter dish that is lit with a candle), and each of us ordered our own dish. i ordered the 16oz rib eye (huge. for medium rare, it was well cooked, and of course very fatty. the steak was thick and i loved every piece of it.) and my boyfriend got the 16oz kansas city strip (highly recommend this one! this one as well was crispy on the outside and charred perfectly). the sides we ordered were the jalapeno au gratin (has a slight kick to it. not overpowering with jalapeno at all), lobster mashed potatoes (HIGHLY RECOMMEND. they have huge chunks of lobster, and they dont skimp out at all. the mashed is so smooth and soft), creamed spinach (standard creamed spinach. its huge and they give a hefty amount), and the black truffle mac and cheese (delicious mac and cheese. also just a slight hint of truffle so it wasn't over powering at all. i wish it had a bit more of a stronger truffle flavor though). a lot of my other friends ordered the chilean sea bass (and that is melt in your mouth, soft sea bass. really good and just flakes right off). they have an amazing selection of wine, and we ordered multiple for different pairings. the berries and bubbles cocktail was pretty cool! it was really sweet, but it bubbles which is fun and they pour it in front of you. you add the berries in after and its infused with alcohol at the end so you can munch on it after you kill the drink. live band, pleasant service, romantic evening location in the seaport. other than being a typical steakhouse, its pretty good! i don't know if the steak is AWESOME but as a one time experience, i thought it was good read more

My friend and I decided we wanted to go eat a fancy dinner and ended up here. We're the type of people to always get the same food unless someone recommends otherwise. Luckily we knew a server there who we texted and he gave us awesome recommendations for drinks and apps. We got the beary drink which is most definitely snap chat worthy. Oysters which were okay, I had higher standard for seafood than the ribeye I ordered since I was ordering steak at a seafood restaurant I couldn't complain about the streak. One thing that is a must get here though is the smoking shellfish tower which contains shrimp lobster oysters and I believe crab stick. Amazing presentation. read more

Valet was rude and ignorant. Because the restaurant has applied for new valet signs he told us we could not park in an area that was open and marked as available to the public. He was confrontational and rude. We didn't park there for fear our car would be damaged. read more

I would have given them 5-stars except when I first got there my experience wasn't the greatest. I had reservations for 4 p.m. I went inside at 3:55, there was a line inside and it wasn't moving. I told a hostess about my reservation and she said she couldn't help me. I then got out of line and went up to the hostess at the computer and she checked me in. I then stood in the back and waited to be called. Three different parties came in after me with no reservations (I know this because the hostess clearly said the persons name and asked if they're walk-ins and they said yes) they were all seated before me and I had a reservation which I called hours before to make. Once they were all seated the hostess forgot I had already checked in so they didn't even have me checked in. I was ready to walk out then we were finally seated. This is where it got amazing! Our waiter Marin (not sure if that's how it's spelt) was absolutely wonderful. He recommend great drinks and the food was amazing! We had the lobster tails, king crab legs, garlic creamy mashed potatoes, and lobster Mac and cheese. The customer service was great. We even had a waitress who wasn't even attending us who kept checking on us. I didn't get her name but she was from Colombia and was very nice, attentive and amazing. Be ready to spend money, but it's well worth it. Definitely going here again! read more

I've eaten several times and the food is amazing. The sea bass is my favorite. The bar gets an upscale crowd and the band is great. The only disappointment was the ladies room- it was a disgrace. There was no toilet paper in any of the stalls and there was trash, naptkins all over the floor. One of the restrooms spelled like vomit. They really need someone to attend to the bathrooms more frequently. read more

Great location and atmosphere. Excellent service. I would have given it 4 stars but the food quality compared to the price was not worth it. I went as a business dinner with 14 guests. Appetizers were superb and actually better than the dinner. Appetizers that we got were the seafood tower, calamari and some sushi. My dinner was a surf and turf of a 6oz filet and crab cakes. The filet was ordered medium and was close to well. Others at the table were ordered medium and came rare. read more

Wasn't impressed at all with the food. Obviously wasn't bad but didn't consider it to be on par with the higher end restaurants in the area. Was also disappointed that I mentioned it was my wife and I'd anniversary when I made reservations and they stuck is in a terrible little table in the corner against a wall. The waiter also had no idea it was our anniversary until he asked if we were on a date midway through the meal. Giving an extra star because the waiter was great - attentive and personable. read more

I don't eat meat but we came here because my fiancé loves seafood. The food was wonderful and the drinks were delicious. Everything was perfectly cooked, and the service was great! We got the peanut butter mousse for desert and it's probably the best desert I've ever had! read more

Best steak I have ever had! I ordered the 16oz ribeye. It was cooked perfectly. I highly recommend the calamari appetizer and the Parmesan French fries. This place is very upscale but without being pretentious. Service was excellent. Also they have hospital ice so I recommend ordering your favorite cocktail as opposed to beer or wine because that ice makes it that much better. read more

There are very few ways a steak house can mess up a steak, this one takes the crown: ordered the special, a 32oz bone-in tomahawk steak, when we got the steak there was a massive bone and approximately 8oz of meat. When I told the waitress that this doesn't look like a 32oz piece she told me "the weight includes the bone". Friends had the sea bass and according to them the sea bass at Strega is allot better. So there you have it, if you want to pay for the most expensive bone this is the steak house for you. read more

I dined at Prime Ocean to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday and I must say the service and quality of food was impeccable!

This place is so good that it's not enough to give it five stars. So much food. Completely amazing. I would marry it.

This is my favorite restaurant the food is the freshest it can get! the desserts, the environment, the service, everything is perfect!!

While Ocean Prime does a lot of things really well - from the service (outstanding) to the bar, to the decadent desserts to the bread (holy mackerel, it was pure sex in gluten form) to the amazing espresso martinis, the one thing they didn't do very well were the steaks. My 3-star rating is because when it comes to steakhouses in Boston and elsewhere, there is a high bar that's been set. A steakhouse needs to be all things - luxurious ambiance, professional white shirt service, etc., but most importantly, needs to deliver a high quality, heavenly slab of red meat cooked to perfection, and good enough to eat with or without steak sauce (preferably without). I had my bone-in filet mignon at Ocean Prime just three days after having one of the best steaks I've had all year at Abe & Louie's. Same cut, same weight. However, it was a tale of two steak. My Ocean Prime bone-in filet came out with a gray shade, shriveled, and gristly. That being said, it was no trouble at all for the wait staff at Ocean Prime to replace it with a new boneless filet mignon that was.. better. But compared to the steaks I've had at other spots in Boston - namely, Abe & Louie's and Mooo..., Ocean Prime just did not compare. read more

Great bar and restaurant! My husband and I are always looking for a quality place to have a date night. It is a little pricy but it is the quality and experience you pay for. Their entire staff is of the highest quality and knowledge. I love seafood and my husband loves steak and both those items are amazing on their menu. We had a server and I believe his name was John and he was top notch! I can't wait to come back to this place again for a lovely night out with the hubby! read more

Went here for an anniversary. Food was great with very good and attentive service. When my wife asked for a dry white wine the server suggested a Reisling. My wife asked if it was dry. The waiter said he would check. He did not check but returned with a glass of Chardonnay which also happened to be the most expensive glass of wine on the menu $27.00. When paying, my driver's license fell out of my wallet. I noticed and called later that evening. The hostess found it and called me back. She said she would mail it to me. I called a week later and was told that hostess was likely in Kentucky. It has been over 2 weeks and no one contacted me. I ordered a new license. Five phone calls...and no response. I will not return. read more

Best Tuna Tartare in town. Great service and nice location. Close to all the bar life in sea port.

Overpriced. Poor value. I've had a better steak for a lower price with better service at J.Alexander. Disappointing.

Overpriced!!! I can't say that enough times. Overcooked chicken and fish dishes that were $30 and $45. These could have easily been made at home for a fraction of the cost and with much better care. The service was very good and overall we enjoyed the atmosphere but we will definitely not be back again after choking down that food... and the bill. read more

My dad had never even heard of it but I had seen the menu and really wanted to go. Sat down for 20 min on a Tuesday night while waiters stood around and no one even came to the empty table next to us to light the candle for nobody before even getting us water. For these prices you should have service as soon as you drop a napkin, not have 20+ employees passing by your table while you have to basically beg for attention. read more

Ocean Prime is an exceptional restaurant. I went this evening with my girlfriend and both came away very full and extremely satisfied. The staff, service and food/ drinks were perfect. I got the 10 oz filet medium rare that was cooked perfect. My girlfriend got the chicken entree that was crisp and juicy. It exceeded our expectations and can't wait to go back. read more

Party of 5 went here for dinner last night to celebrate my Grandfather's birthday. It was my first time at the restaurant, and a few others had been there before. Dana, our server, ensured that our experience was above and beyond our expectations! She was truly a pleasure to have as part of our time at Ocean Prime. You can really tell she has a passion for what she does, and that is clearly displayed in the experience she provides. The berries and bubbles drink was delicious and fun with the dry ice smoke. I highly recommend the tuna tartare if you are a fan of tuna, very fresh, great texture. Everyone's steaks were cooked perfectly, and they were extremely accommodating for a dietary restriction at the table. I will definitely be back again soon, and will absolutely be requesting Dana for a server again! read more

Came here for a work event ... Great atmosphere and awesome location. Wish there was more seafood main dishes but the raw bar was awesome!!!

Nice atmosphere, but quite possibly the worse food ever. Service was fine, but the crab cake was inedible as was the risotto which tasted more like macaroni and cheese. Tuna tartare was passable. At this price point, most of the restaurants in Boston would be a better option. Stay away. And OP Corporate - please send someone fast to revamp the food quality. read more

This place was perfect for a romantic dinner. My husband and I came to Boston for our honeymoon, and this place made our trip special. My husband had the steak, and said it was amazing. I opted for a spicy tuna sushi roll and a side of asparagus- the tuna roll was one of the best I've had (though I'm no sushi connoisseur). Given that this was a special occasion we ordered dessert, chocolate cake and cream brûlée. Both were excellent. My favorite part of the meal, however, was the Espresso Martini (off the dessert menu). Best cocktail I had on the trip. read more

This is a very nice fine dining establishment. It's my understanding that this is where all of the ball players go for great seafood and steaks.
