Can't say enough about how good this restaurant it, from the food, to the service, to the overall set up. From start to finish it was one of the better restaurants I've been to in the seaport district. I would highly recommend it. If you go you must try the black truffle mac and cheese read more

I absolutely love this place. I was out celebrating my Anniversary and they made sure we were satisfied. When we got there the ladies at the front desk greeting with a smile and told us they hope we have a great night celebrating our Anniversary. Our waiter Levi was excellent!!! He made us feel so special. He suggested some great options to eat for dinner and we enjoyed every bite. We had the scallops and risotto, blue cheese crusted steak with creamed spinach and Mac and cheese for sides. We had the layered carrot cake for dessert and it was great as well. We will definitely be back for another occasion. read more

I went here for lunch and had a fantastic experience. Great service, ambience, and really good food. I especially enjoyed their "power lunch" and had the lobster bisque and filet mignon which was cooked perfectly. I also sampled a range of their desserts and everything was fantastic, though the carrot cake was my favorite! I came here for dinner and the experience was pretty different. The sides we ordered (mashed potatoes and their truffle mac n cheese) were both cold, and my ahi tuna was not that great. My boyfriend enjoyed his steak though and they even brought out a complimentary dessert as it was my birthday which was a nice touch! Perhaps just an off night... Service was still great though! read more

The BEST LOBSTER MAC IN BOSTON hands down. I love the staff there, the food is amazing a little on the pricey side but worth every bit. The shrimp roll is out of this world !! read more

Definitely 5 star. A big plus bonus was Valet parking. We got there early and sat at the bar. Nice atmosphere great bartenders (thank you Daniel) we had a 6:30 reservation (called 2 weeks in advance to get this and was lucky) dinner for four. Best EVER appetizer was the calamari..surprisingly served 'asian' style OMG! Meals were: scallop Parmesan risotto, rib eye steak, NY strip and twin lobster tails, everything absolutely top notch. Wonderful dishes. We split the loaded baked potato between 4 of us (xtra large) and the Brussels sprouts. Hands down would return. With 3 drinks, tab with tip was $500. Impeccable service by all involved. Thank you Ocean Prime you will definitely see us again when we are in town! read more

Absolutely the best Valentine's Day dinner here. Our server Chris was as good as they get in the industry. The food was out of this world, the drinks were elaborate and tasty, and the Manager Harry Jones made sure we had an amazing experience. Highly recommend Ocean Prime and will for sure be visiting again! read more

We went for Mother's Day brunch this morning and everything was mediocre except for the drinks. I was also surprised that they didn't do anything special for all of the mothers/families, as the restaurants we've gone to previously for Mother's Day have done something to mark the occasion--even a small arrangement on the tables, but instead it felt like any other night dining at OP. It was nice to be with family but next year we'll go somewhere more festive with better food. read more

This place is fabulous with great food and phenomenal service. We had lunch here today with Levi as our server and he knocked it out of the park. He was very professional and went above and beyond for us. The service was impeccable and the food couldn't have been better. We can't wait to come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal! Thank you, Ocean Prime! read more

I never write yelp reviews but after my last two experiences at ocean prime I feel I need to warn people. We used to come to the seaport a couple times a month for drinks and dinner, the bar at ocean prime was our favorite. They had a great bar staff and was fun to watch them work. The last two times I was there and especially last night, they had the worst bartenders I have ever seen at a fine dinning Resturant, almost as if they had never bartended before, or had a conversation with a guest before. To compare yourself with the upper tier steakhouses in Boston you should have professional bartenders behind the bar. The bar was a mess and complete chaos!! read more

Tonight I had Dragon Roll Sushi (5*) and the Lamb Lollipops (5*)! My favorite part of this restaurant is the bar. The open layout and lighting in the bar makes you like you're in your living room and it's so comfortable. Must see. read more

Had my birthday dinner party here last Friday and enjoyed the service. We had a private room also known as the 'Cambridge room' with its own entrance for my party of 18. The restaurant was very warm and the staff was amazing, welcoming, and kind! I enjoyed the ambiance but wouldn't have minded if they turned the music up just a notch. The food wasn't great and although I had high hopes, the only thing I enjoyed was the wine, my usual cakebread Sauvignon blanc, and the ravioli from the dish I ordered, the Alaska halibut. I ordered a side of lobster mashed potatoes but again, my expectations weren't met. But all in all, food aside, I had a fabulous time! read more

Amazing night in all! My boyfriend and I went for a pre Valentine's Day meal ( a week early ) everything was incredible. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere!! Place was very expensive so if you plan on coming here make sure you prepare to be spending some money!! But you can expect that at any restaurant like this. I highly recommend the Gouda cheese tator tots as a side :) would highly recommend to anyone! read more

The food was amazing and so was the waitstaff. The sea bass was outstanding and the east coast oysters were perfect. However, the two hostesses at the front desk were rude when we arrived. The first impression was not a good one and it's the most important. I'm glad the rest of the experience was great. read more

I really didn't want to try another steak house because the last one I tried fucking sucked. But let me tell you about Ocean Prime is the shit!!! The staff the food the drinks!!! My boyfriend and I have been wanting to go here for the longest time. He finally surprised me by bringing me for my birthday this past weekend. We got the lobster bisque, lobster roll, filet mignon, ribeye, mac and cheese, and parmesan truffle fries. There were absolutely no complaints about the food. Everything about them was delicious! The lobster bisque was creamy and flavorful. The lobster roll had the perfect ratio of spice (jalapeno on top), meat, and rice. The steaks were perfectly cooked to medium rare. The parmesan truffle fries were filled with potato and crispy. The mac and cheese was the only thing that was mediocre because it lacked more taste. Even the hot bread and pretzel bread was amazing. Additionally, the food runners were very attentive and always made sure to refill our waters. The major downfall that makes me want to give this place 3 stars instead of 4 stars is the fact that my boyfriend specifically stated that the reservations were for my birthday and he clarified it twice on the phone. However, either the hostess did not communicate it to the waitress or the waitress forgot because every other table around me that was celebrating their birthday was recognized and seemed to receive complimentary dessert with a candle on top. Additionally, as friendly as the waitress was, her service was left to be desired because we had to try to get her attention on a few occasions. Thus, the food was good (4-5 stars), but the service was not on par (3 stars). I have definitely been to nice steakhouses, like Ruth Chris, who treat you so much better. read more

We went here for our anniversary last night. Service and food was fantastic. We were impressed by the decor, ambiance and all parts of our service. The calamari is unique and tasty. Also recommend the sea bass. We will be back! read more

Usually it's really hard for me to like places like this, kind of big and impersonal. But hey I suppose that's the way the Seaport is getting developed, boo. Still, despite the hurt it has put on my credit card, Ocean Prime fit the role nicely for a special occasion dinner (my dad's bday and their 40th anniversary). A nice space, friendly service and some excellent dishes. I will specially point out the scallops appetizer and the dynamite sushi. And the peanut butter mousse pie thing for dessert with the cookie crumble bottom so so good!! read more

Went with a friend to splurge on ourselves and had a horrible experience from start to finish. The hostess didn't even seat us, she pointed to an area and said to seat ourselves. No one ever brought us menus to look at. The waitress came over to give us water and never came back again. We waited for 15 minutes without menus or seeing our server again before leaving to go to another restaurant. I have been a waitress for years and am very patient and understanding when I go to restaurants. I have never had such a horrible experience of being ignored and brushed off by a staff before. We had planned this outing for weeks based off of the reviews and were very disappointed. Hopefully this was not a normal experience because the ambiance and food looked amazing. read more

We were visiting in Boston and were craving a good steak. Not only was the food very well prepared but our waitress Yvonne made the experience that much more special. She would be the reason to visit again the next time we make a trip to Boston. Don't forget to order the Butter cake, her recommendation and now ours too! read more

went there last weekend, This place is way overrated and highly overpriced, very noisy and extremely slow service. Appetizer menu is limited, nothing small and light to start, seems like an overpriced Cheesecake Factory. The music was highly annoying, inappropriate, loud, and intrusive. Servers and bussers never had eye contact and only got your attention when you shouted " excuse me.....!". certainly not going back, far better steakhouses in Boston, such as the amazing Capital Grille read more

Fantastic! Unreal steakhouse. Went with my wife tonight and it was one of the best steakhouses we have been to. Service was phenomenal. Food couldn't have been better and the dining room is extremely comfortable. Also very gluten-free friendly with their own GF menu for my wife. We will definitely be back and thank you to our waiter Alan and the dining room manager Julie who checked on us just the right amount to make us feel more than welcome. read more

Picked up lunch takeout for my 92 old father for his dinner tonight. The staff and quality of food is exceptional. My Dad cleaned his plate and kept raving that the scallops, asparagus and baked potato was delicious. It's not very often for him to give such a high compliment. Thank You for making his night. BTW he thinks i cooked it when I got home from work. It was wonderful to see Levi. It's been way too long. Hope people realize you are now open for lunch. read more

My friends and I came here for a "friendsgiving" dinner on a Saturday night, and we couldn't have had a better time! Our waiter, Clifford, was awesome! He was very friendly and gave us some great suggestions on wine and dishes to order. Everything we ordered was delicious and well prepared. They had a live band playing near the bar, and that side of the restaurant was rather loud. We were seated further away from the bar which was nice so that we could talk. We had a great time here, and will certainly be back! read more

This is a great steak and seafood spot. Definitely upscale, not a family style restaurant however they definitely cater to kids. They are also very accommodating for groups and private dinners. 4 stars = tad too pricy for some of the dishes. read more

We had a wonderful experience here today. We were walking around trying to find a safe place to sit and have a drink and called Ocean Prime to get a reservation. They went above and beyond and made us feel incredibly safe, even with a small child. Thankful to get the opportunity to have what felt almost normal in a very odd covid world. This is the best wedding anniversary meal we've had in years! Exceptional service, starting with the hostess with great memory that it was our anniversary lunch. Then our waitor, Levi, he was the best waitor we have ever had! He was attentive, well prepared, efficient, kind, and he had all the personal touches as if he was our long time friend. Then the food was beyond exceptional! We had 3 appetizers and 2 entrees, the portions were so good that we couldnt finish everything. Levi founded out that we were too stuffed to have the well known 10-layer carrot cake as dessert, he sent us home with an order of the carrot cake to celebrate our anniversary, besides the 2 glasses of champagne on the house. Levi and Ocean Prime you both rock! THANK YOU! read more

Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Waitstaff prompt and attentive. My husband and I chose to sit outside in a beautiful evening. We enjoyed the French onion soup as an appetizer which was delicious. For our entree we both had a filet mignon which was the best we've even had! We eat out a lot and could certainly be called food snobs. Hands down fantastic meal. read more

I came here for the special Easter brunch menu and it did not disappoint. The ambiance is fantastic and our server Kristen was really nice. Everything in made in house here. The pretzel bread is amazing to start off and so is the blood orange mimosa. The Crab&Egg Benedict and Braised Short Rib Surf and Turf really hit the spot. They've got a very delicious dessert menu as well but I was too full to eat anything else. This is a great place for a date as it is very romantic and the music is great as well. Definitely will be coming back here! read more

Amazing first time experience. Aaron was our waiter and he was extremely spectacular . My husband got the old fashioned for his drink and it was the best that he has ever had in any restaurant. I got the Berries and bubbles which was out of this world. The food was also cooked to perfection. The best part of the night was the dessert, 10 layer carrot cake. Delectable. My husband and I could not even finish. Aaron happened to hear that it was our wedding anniversary and comped our dessert. He should be recognized for going above and beyond for service and attentiveness... as we did not mention our anniversary when we made the reservation. He is an excellent waiter. read more

This place is amazing all together. all of the staff are very professional and make you feel very high class. My host desk experience was amazing and although a short wait we got seated quickly. We had an amazing booth that seemed over sized for the two of us but it was incredibly private and romantic. The food was to die for from the appetizers through dessert. We couldn't decide so we got the pb pie and carrot cake for dessert and this was not a bad decision! For appetizers we had a Caesar salad, tater tots, and calamari all were to die for.
