Almost 2 years after my "discovery" of Oasis Diner, I've probably been here so many times now! Therefore, I know more than I did before. Food is always delicious. I've gotten breakfast here twice, and we're normally here for dinner. Prices are always really good and we can get a good value for our meals. As of late, I've discovered their cappuccinos which either can be flavored with French Vanilla or English Toffee. I'm partial towards the toffee flavor since I like the complexity of the toasted caramel notes. Our servers are always really friendly. I believe the servers are mainly around student age, so it's nice that they can get good work experience. Because they're presumably underage I don't want to list anyone in particular for a special shoutout, but I can give them all a blanket shoutout of positivity! The atmosphere has more retro elements than I first realized, with a whole wall of vinyls and 8-tracks. There's also a nice mural with Indiana license plates so you can see the design evolution. The road map with a few different highlighted cities is also pretty neat.

Dinner at Oasis Diner was such a cute, nostalgic surprise. The walls are covered in cassette tapes, vinyls, CDs, and 8‑tracks, and the dessert counter looks straight out of the 1950s. We had the tenderloin, tenderloin sliders, fries, onion rings, and fried green tomatoes -- and those fried green tomatoes were the best we've ever had. The tenderloin was great, fries were perfect, and the shakes were delicious (just smaller than expected). Onion rings had good flavor but were a little chewy. Service was decent. Overall, a super charming spot with standout comfort food.

I found this diner on Tik Tok so I feel like I HAD to come visit. The place was busy as I expected and the inside was decorated so cute and vintage with records and cds and pictures and old games plastered on the walls. Our server was so nice and patient with us as well. I ordered the special they had which was some waffles that had ice cream and caramel and pecans spread on top, and a side of grits and my boo ordered avocado toast with hashbrowns on the side. The food was delicious and the ice cream was an added touch to the waffle. Felt like dessert for breakfast but that's exactly what i was craving 10/10 Will have to come back

My husband has never met a diner he didn't want to try, so naturally we had to go to the Oasis Diner when we visited Plainfield. It originally opened in 1954, according to the mural outside, and it is a quaint, cozy and delicious little spot with quick, friendly service. We tried the Oasis burger; the short stack meal; the Quaker breakfast; and the Indianapolis country-fried breakfast. The portion sizes were generous -- our teenager couldn't finish the double-patty burger -- and everything we tried was tasty. Our kids especially liked the housemade sodas! We only had two minor issues: The booth was a little *too* cozy for four fully grown folks, and I wish we'd saved room for pie! We might start with a piece of strawberry-rhubarb next time.

Well, we stopped in here on our way back to Kentucky from Plainfield, this place. This place was originally opened in 1954, according to the mural outside. The place was busy. Despite that, the staff was very attentive. I just love the decor of vintage records, pictures, and old games plastered all over the walls, giving the 1960s dinner feel. I had the Oasis Burger, which is a double burger with pulled pork, bacon, BBQ sauce, coleslaw, pickles, and cheddar cheese served on a brioche bun, while my wife had the Quaker Cheeseburger, which is served with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle on a brioche bun. She added bacon as well. They are all served with your choice of regular side and a pickle spear. I had the onion rings with the Sriracha ranch sauce, which is excellent; my wife had her onion rings with ranch. We both had Beignets for dessert. Be sure to try out their root beer, as it was delicious!!

Absolutely wonderful! My daughter and I went after a birthday party and both of us decided this was a "go back" spot! I had the special- smoked sausage, saurkraut, green beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy. Kiddo had chicken tenders, and we shared an appetizer sampler. Everything was delicious! I had zero complaints. We topped it off with a small ice cream, also yummy. I definitely missed food pics. We were starved!

My son and I were out doing some winter clothes shopping and decided to grab lunch at Oasis Diner. We got a kick out of the atmosphere and the food was excellent. I had the tenderloin sliders - great deal and perfectly prepared. My son had the Oasis burger and it was a monster! He ate every bite. We were too full for dessert but it looked tempting - next time!

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

Eh, fell a bit short for me…read more The ambiance and vibes are great! Service was great as well!! The food is where it fell short for me. I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.

They have a pretty extensive beer list here, and many of them are local choices. For appetizer, we got the couscous Mac and cheese balls. These are pretty close in nature to arancini, but with more cheese. My main course was their weekend dinner special, with prime rib accompanied by white cheddar mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus. The prime rib was absolutely amazing, nice and tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were also great and are a very smooth consistency. For dessert, of course we had to get a pizookie! The triple chocolate delivers on its name. Served hot, it is well worth the wait after two courses of deliciousness. They have TVs around the bar area that have sports on. At the time, basketball and nascar had the most coverage. I wish they had the closed captioning on, since that makes it easier to tell what goes on if you're not right at the bar. The bathroom is kept clean there. My boyfriend and I are sure to come back on the weekday special going on, with select entrees and pizookies for $13 - what a deal! Hopefully this is sooner rather than later!
