My review is for The Local Restaurant only and not the hotel (the Embassy Suites it sits inside of is just meh). This place is fantastic. Probably the best restaurant-within-hotel food I've ever had. I got the ribeye with kettle cooked chips and mixed veggies. I'm usually pretty skeptical of steaks at restaurants in hotels but this one was excellent. Would def eat again. The meat was tender and juicy and prepared well. Kettle cooked chips are the best. Mixed veggies were seasoned well and cooked until tender. Service was not the best but decent (full disclosure I wasn't inside the restaurant but inside the hotels lobby area instead after the complimentary HH so the server had more ground to cover being outside the restaurant). Price was respectable at $24 all-in Definitely recommend if you are staying at the hotel or one of the nearby cousin properties.

Inside the ES. A bar and restaurant that serves a limited menu. I had the huge chicken wings and quesadillas. Good amount of food for the price. Lisa was bartending. A Super nice person. Come on down/over and visit Lisa.

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

Eh, fell a bit short for me…read more The ambiance and vibes are great! Service was great as well!! The food is where it fell short for me. I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.

We visited on a Saturday night toward the tail end of dinner. We were greeted by a smiling hostess immediately on entering and opted to sit at the bar to enjoy some beers on draft. They had a nice selection of taps, and also bottles and cans. They also had a full bar and a number of signature cocktails. Our server at the bar was attentive and kept our glasses full. For dinner, we don't usually get appetizers, but we read so many good reviews of the Crab Rangoon Dip that we had to try it. It was excellent - a generous portion of cheesy dip with real crab, drizzled with a sweet and spicy chili sauce and plenty of fried wonton chips. Would be enough to share with 4 people, but the two of us had no problem finishing it. For dinner, I had the buffalo chicken wrap with house made chips. The wrap was a good sized portion and I had enough for lunch leftovers the following day. I appreciated that they used a spring mix blend instead of iceberg lettuce. Following our dinner, we mentioned our meal to friends and family who live in the area, and all of them said they had heard great things about the restaurant. Happy to have a great local place to visit again next time we're in Mooresville!

Today, Monday, at lunch, every table was occupied except for the big table in front that seats six or more. I sat at the bar and service was instantaneous. My napkin was linen! I love that. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with chips. The sandwich came with provolone cheese, sun dried tomato, garlic aioli, and fresh basil on brioche. I held the bacon jam. The sandwich was delicious. The chips were good but seemed a tad overcooked to me. Street parking was available for me across the intersection next to the new vacant corner lot where the tornado wiped out the old jewelry store.

Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.

Every time we walk in, we are immediately greeted by the cheerful staff and warm, retro ambiance. There are so many things I love about Oasis, but I think the biggest thing is the true diner-style environment they have. Classic bar stools and a counter with several pies, cozy booths, and even outdoor seating! In the main dining area, the decor showcases all sorts of retro/vintage history with 8-tracks, vinyls, and license plates from decades past. As they are also along the Historic National Road, their menu reflects the other cities along the highway with their breakfast combos! If you want a different route to get here, they are also situated right along the White Lick Creek Trail, so it's an easy walk (or bike) across the pedestrian bridge to some delicious American food! As well as the ambiance I've discussed, I also love that they are a frequent participant of the Devour Indy promotions, as the promotions and deals they offer are well worth it! Over the many times I've been here, I've tried quite a few things off their menu, and they have a lot! Prices are very reasonable (I think they have gone up just a smidge since I've been there but nothing too crazy). If you stop in the morning (or any time, really) their cappuccino is AMAZING! I just get a basic cappuccino, but there are additional flavors you can add (Toffee and French Vanilla are two that I remember). Their burgers are always cooked to perfection, and the fries are a joy to eat (especially if you get the loaded fries!). Overall, this is a restaurant that is truly one of my all-time favorites and I will go out of my way to stop and have a meal here.
