I stopped in to meet a colleague to watch a football game. My friend already ordered a drink prior to my arrival and it was there when I walked in. The odd thing is that the server never once came to me to see if I wanted anything (we were at the bar). I eventually stopped her to ask if I could order some food to go and how long it might take because I was up against a schedule. She indicated the time and I said I'd like to order. She told me she'd need to be back after getting her note pad. Within 20 minutes, she never stopped to me again. She cashed out the guy immediately next to me, took a couples order just down from me but never even glanced my way. By the time she stopped at everyone else, it would have taken too long for my order so I opted not to even mention again. Usually Bru Burger service is 100% but this was my first visit to this location. By other reviews, this may have been a fluke so I'll have to give them another chance. I will say the drink was great! We came in for lunch on a really nice day and got to enjoy the patio at Bru Burger in The Shops at Perry Crossing. I've been to this location a couple times before and I brought my mom who was visiting from Florida since I knew we would enjoy it. We coincidentally both got the Provençal burger (toppings: whipped goat cheese, mushrooms, red onions). I really enjoyed it! I also got the peach bread pudding and that was quite delightful. To drink, I got the strawberry honey mocktail which I found to be a little too sweet but the strawberry and honey flavors are definitely authentic. My mom was also pleased with her beer - she likes a non-fruity IPA. Our server was super friendly and attentive and everything was prepared with great detail. This is a great little bar in a trendy shopping center. Great atmosphere and all of the staff were polite and friendly. We went on. Wednesday night and while the patio was full, there was no wait for an inside table. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything is homemade including their ketchup that was probably the best ketchup I've had. They have a good draft selection as well as other drinks. I had a 60 Minute IPA from Dogfish Head Brewery. Their menu has many interesting takes on burgers which made it difficult to make a decision. I couldn't pass up their Southern Burger and I don't regret it for a minute. The burger was cooked to perfection and topped with Chipotle Pimento Cheese, Bacon, Red Onion, Pickled Jalapeño, Mayo, and Peppadew Pepper Jam. The flavors complemented each other nicely. Brew burger bar is located in the Perry crossing of Plainfield. It's one of the high-end restaurants that is located in that area. They provide a lot of options in their menu. They do have some vegetarian options and good dessert options. Their service is great. The inside ambience and decor is good and average loud. They are business casual and family friendly. They also have outdoor seating when the weather is warm. Since this is located in Perry crossing, you will have to park right in front of the restaurant. There are some parking available. This is my favorite Bru Burger location! Love it every time I go, the food is amazing. Today I tried the gluten free Provençal burger and it was divine! Definitely a pleasant surprise. Very juicy and the toppings were perfectly balanced. I also had the Valencia salad, and it was unbelievable! Of course the fries are a must and the house-made ketchup is one of my favorite things :) Our waitress was very sweet and everything was ready fast. A co-worker's last day was this week, so a few of us stopped in for a drink after work to celebrate her. We were the only ones on the patio because it was quite hot outside, but when there was a breeze it felt pretty nice. We ordered 3 different apps and the food came out quickly and was so tasty (and made us too full for to order dinner). We ended up moving inside to the bar after a couple of hours because the breeze stopped and then our beers started getting too warm before we could finish them. Our server was really sweet, checked on us often, and even had the bartender make a special drink for another member of our party after she didn't like her first cocktail. She went above and beyond and it made our evening really special. After we moved inside to the bar, just me and my co-worker who was leaving stayed for another hour or so to just chat and spend time together before we wouldn't see each other at work anymore. The bartender was so nice even though we ended up staying 30 minutes past close. She had poured our last beer before last call and kept it in the fridge for us so it stayed cold when we were ready to drink it. Overall, such a wonderful experience and I would recommend to anyone to stop in at this location! Previously I had only been here once for a work lunch last year and normally stop in at the Brownsburg location since we can bring our dogs on the patio. I generally will have a tough time during lunch since I've switched over to mainly seafood diet but Bru burger never disappoints. They have an amazing salmon burger that wins me every time, I could eat it for lunch almost everyday. The are fast during lunch too so I don't ever have to worry about going missing for too long. I always sit at the bar to make sure I secure fast serving as well which isn't ever crowded. It's very bar atmosphere so you can hang watch the game I can tell in the evenings and they've got plenty beer on tap. BRU Burgee Bar has a stellar reputation in the Indianapolis Indiana area. So when my family was in town for my daughters cheer comp we decided to finally give one of these locations a shot. This particular location is in Plainfield Indiana inside an outlet mall called Perry crossing. We arrived pretty late on a Friday night and had a party of 12 and was able to find seating after a very brief wait. The staff here was very nice, patient and quick. We had a big party so we sampled the menu pretty well. My wife and our kiddos split an appetizer of Chili cheese fries which had really good flavor and was a nice kickoff to our meal. Our entrées across our party included kids mac and cheese, a plain cheeseburger, patty melt, Stilton bleu cheese burger, Cod sandwich, honey chipotle bbq burger and I went with a Mexicali burger. General consensus from everyone except for me is their burgers were phenomenal. Mine was just ok to me. Very fresh and cooked right but I just didn't enjoy it very much. I did as sample my kids cheeseburger and wife's honey chipotle and I can see why they were big fans. I liked their burgers much more. So I maybe josh chose wrong for my taste buds preferences. We were sat at table right by the kitchen with glaring fluorescent lights which was a stark contrast to the low lit atmosphere of the restaurant. Bru burger is a laid back, high end bar style restaurant. Compared to other Cunningham Restaurant's this is on the more affordable end and the menu has something for everyone. I personally am not a fan of burgers but they also have other options as well (including vegan options). The Salmon Burger is a must try, I've tried Salmon Burgers from all over the world from Florida to Michigan but Bru's is out of this world. Review update: The service here is inconsistent. There are days where you'll have a server that makes you feel like you're a celebrity or like their last priority. I didn't mention service in the original update because it's more a laid back restaurant and I didn't expect much, but that's shouldn't be an excuse. But the absolute star of the show was the the peach bread pudding it was a dynamic of flavors that worked together for a perfect dessert. I would go back just for that. Let's just say I love Bru Burger. Service is usually friendly and efficient. The restaurant is always clean. And the food is great. I am partial to the pretzel sticks with the beer cheese. Those darn things can be addicting. They come hot, with just a slight crust and a warm fluffy inside, like a pillow (but tastes a lot better). And the sauce is just perfect with it. As far as burgers go, you just cannot go wrong here. They are all good and I believe I have worked my way through at least half of them already. all of them are big, juicy, made to order and extremely messy... as a burger should be. In my eyes, it's not a worthwhile burger unless toppings and juices drip all over the place every bite you take. For dessert I highly recommend the bread pudding... OMG... nuts, ice cream, drizzle, huge portion... what more could a sweet tooth desire? My favorite drink is of course the pear cosmo, looks good, tastes even better. The pear really dominates this wonderfully refreshing drink. but don't be fooled, it does pack a punch. Why not 5-stars you ask?
