First time at this location. Our server seemed pretty new. When we asked for items she brought them out one at a time instead of making one trip. Moved too fast and should have slowed down to take our order. Food was good pretzel was not the shape i was expecting but good. my berry gorgan salad was great. No-one had complaints about the food. I don't usually leave reviews, but our experience at the Plainfield Bru Burger was upsetting enough to warrant one. I flew in from out of state yesterday morning, so my dad and I decided to grab a bite for lunch on the way home. The hostess seated us in the bar area, in a booth, across from the bar. The restaurant wasn't very busy upon our arrival, but we noticed our server also seemed to be manning the bar. She was aggressive and clearly inconvenienced by us from the very moment she approached our table. To put it lightly, her overall attitude was terse. My dad asked her what was on draft, to which she responded "we have 16, so I mean, I'm not gonna read them all to you..." (The list was handwritten in chalk on a chalkboard, some distance from our table). After we'd finally decided on a beer for dad, I asked for my Bloody Mary to be extra spicy, a SECOND time, since she didn't respond to me the first time I asked. She proceeded to walk away from our table, slinging over her shoulder the following remark: "I'm bringing it out as is. We already put horseradish and stuff in it." Unbelievable. So the drinks came. Our water glasses ended up on coasters, while my Bloody Mary was placed directly on the table. Dad and I toasted and began to chat. Next thing we knew, the Bloody Mary was quickly sliding on its own accord toward the edge of the table. Somehow, I managed to catch the glass mid-air, only losing half the liquid and the garnish to the floor. Two other staff helped us clean up and were very understanding of what happened, telling us they'd seen it happen before with chilled beer glasses. So, A+ to them. When we told our server what happened, she did not offer to replace the drink, or my napkin for that matter. It was clear she didn't believe us, or simply didn't care. She also 'joked' and relayed to us the kitchen staff was talking about cutting me off. Quite an insulting comment, considering the situation. I'd just gotten off a plane having had only a coffee prior to our visit. Besides, my hands were nowhere NEAR the drink when it slid off the table. A food runner, not our server, took my order for a second Bloody Mary, extra spicy. When it arrived, it tasted like plain tomato juice with hardly any liquor, and completely flat without spice. Needless to say, I didn't finish it. We were charged for both drinks. A supervisor asked how our food came out and didn't even listen for my dad to respond before walking away. All we hope is that this server learns how to treat people more kindly in the future. The experience started my trip off on the wrong foot by ruining the first meal I've had with my dad in months. read more

The pork brisket nachos were the bomb! Absolutely the best. Hamburger with bleu cheese was ok. The mexicales burger was good per my husband. If you want to get a burger, just get a regular one or you will just end up with more bread. The snack burger is just a smaller patty on the same bun as a regular. i expected like a slider bun or something smaller. I wasn't impressed. French fries were okay. i really enjoyed the beer battered onion rings. I would have probably given this review a 5 star if I hadn't been disappointed in the small sized hamburger patty on a regular sized bun. The nachos are 5 star by themselves! read more

Whoever the chef was 2/11 evenings just isn't good. Burger had raw meat in middle , fries way too salty and soggy and greasy! , if you are going to go to a restaurant that uses seed oils why not go to somewhere 4x cheaper. Second time trying BRU Burger and I'm just not impressed with this restaurant. Our food was bland - my burgers I make at home have better seasoning. Maybe they are relying on all the toppings to boost the flavor, but the burgers are mediocre. I got a pulled pork burger and there was barely any BBQ sauce on it - you can see how dry it is in the photo. Fries aren't anything special either. They were also very bland. My husband thought his food was bland as well. Since this was a second chance to wow me and BRU did not do that a second time around, I don't believe I will be going back. Went in on New Year's day around noon and we got seated right away. The only real complaint that anyone in my party had was that the booth was really small. I'm a petite person and I only had about 2 inches between me and the table so I felt really squished. It also made it difficult to use my napkin in my lap which I needed because the burger was pretty messy. I ordered the patty melt and fries. The patty melt was pretty good. I think the fries were sweet potato fries but I couldn't find it anywhere on the menu. They also came with homemade ketchup which was good but tasted more like tomato soup than ketchup. My brother had the Mexicali burger and my mom had the beginning burger. Both really liked what they ordered. Our server was really attentive and took our order right away. Even though it was pretty busy we didn't wait long for anything. I really liked the industrial decor. It also wasn't too loud and we could easily have a conversation. Overall, it was pretty good and I would recommend to anyone looking for a good burger. read more

I really do enjoy this burger spot. There are a lot of other businesses around this area too so if I am shopping nearby and feeling to grab some good drinks and food, I would most likely go here. I've been to this location about three times. Bru burger is just one word: AMAZING. I have never eaten at the Plainfield location, only Mass Ave. Not going to lie, I like this location better. Mass Ave is almost always on a wait and super crowded/ compacted. This location is plenty big and while it was busy, I didn't feel packed like a sardine. We sat in a bar booth on a Saturday night. If you like martinis, I highly suggest ordering the pear cosmo. For my dinner, I ordered the Provencal burger. You guys. Im not joking, this was one of the best burgers I've EVER had. Im still drooling even thinking about it. It has basil aioli, marinated red onion, sautéed mushrooms, and herbed goat cheese. Im literally going to come here more often just for that burger. Also, I forgot how fantastic their sauces are!!! They literally have THE best ketchup in Indiana... change my mind. You can't. They must make all their sauces in house. Their ranch is also amazing!!! I unfortunately can't remember our servers name. He was taller, slimmer build with long-ish hair. I want to say it was blonde, but its been a couple of days since I went in. He did a fantastic job the entire time, and even gave us a sauce combo to try- peppercorn mayo and BBQ. You can't beat inside secrets!!! Was it as good as Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich? Not by a long shot! Was it a $3 bargain like Popeyes? Far from it at $11! Add the more batter than onion, onion rings for an additional $2 and you're up to $13! Yes... $13 for 3 skinny chicken strips and some oil laden, overcooked and batter coated onions. Save your money, and just order the chicken strips from the kids menu (which comes with a side and a drink!) for $6! To be clear, I'm reviewing Bru Burger Bar from purely a to-go standpoint. I can't say anything about the actual dine-in experience, though it looked quite nice during the time I hung out at the bar. Important points first, the Bru Burger Bar in Perring Crossing shopping plaza is a 10 minute drive from the Indianapolis International Airport. The shopping plaza itself is quite nice and consists of a number of restaurants and shops (I remember clothing stores and a Barnes & Nobles). It also neighbors a Burlington, a Target, and a Walmart. Basically, this area is really good for pre- and post-flight activities. If you've just got off the plane and are looking for food and to stock up (water, toiletries, etc.), this area has all your needs. But my friend and I are in the pre-flight party, as in we were looking for somewhere to eat before I had to go wait three hours in an airport. So, specifically, my friend was driving me to the airport and frankly wasn't in the best of moods. But I was grateful for her letting me stay over for the weekend and driving me, so I didn't make a big deal of it and found us a place to eat that fit her current cravings (because food will make almost everything better). So THANK YOU Bru Burger and Bar. I called ahead to order some food to-go, and was transferred to the bar because apparently they handle all that. They have SO MUCH parking, thankfully. Even though it was in the middle of the weekend dinner rush. And looking around, the plaza is almost boujie. I mean, next to Bru Burger Bar was a lawn and general outdoor seating. We had been talking about maybe eating our to-go food there, but decided to not risk it with my flight. Additionally, how nice everyone was (over the phone or while I was waiting for our order at the bar) really stood out to me. There was something very genuinely friendly about the staff and service that just really made me pause, because WOW. There is a difference. And I was only there for a little while until our order was ready. Hell, they got me water and a cocktail menu while I was waiting just in case I wanted anything. Also, the food was really good! I wasn't expecting anything exceptional from literal fries and chicken tenders, but it was DELICIOUS. The chicken tenders were crispy to a crunch on the outside, juicy on the inside, and both it and the fries were very well seasoned. And they had so many sauce options, it was actually a bit overwhelming listening to the recite the list. All the convenience without compromising taste or quality. It made me so happy that I got that last meal with my friend before leaving. I really wish we had more time to try more things, but I had a flight to catch. In the meantime, if you're on the way to the airport or just got off the plane, I would suggest visiting here. Out of all the places I looked up, I'm glad we went a little further west (instead of trying our luck with one of the restaurants on the east side of the airport) to get gas and food. XD read more

So glad they decided to put a Bru in Plainfield. We make a point to go here when we're on this side of town. I prefer the downtown location but we always have great service at this location as well. This time around I went with the blueberry mule, half order gorganberry pecan salad and snack size Mexicali BBQ burger. All delicious. It was my first time getting the blueberry mule and I loved it. Not too sweet. Very refreshing. I recommend this location to anyone. They've got nice outdoor seating and it's a convenient spot when you're doing some shopping at Perry Crossing. read more

I knew that ordering the impossible burger cooked "well-done" is a "thing" it def made a difference.. I ordered the Impossible Burger with avocado and jalapeño, it was ok. Also, I don't understand why you have to order the fries or onion rings Separate (it should def. come with the burger). Ohhhh yeah and the "house sauce" which was ketchup and something... was too sweet. We'd love to have some regular let up on the side. Wow! My husband is occasionally in Plainfield for work and he always RAVES about Bru Burger, we were recently in town and decided to check it out. It was great! The food tasted "homemade" and fresh. I ordered the soft pretzels which come with beer cheese and spicy mustard. The pretzels tasted fresh, not frozen, and I loved the beer cheese! I also had the Bru Burger, which was absolutely delicious! It comes dressed with Taleggio Cheese, Bacon, Tomato Jam, Caramelized Onion, Chopped Lettuce and Mayo. The burger had just the right amount of each topping that each was noticeable without overpowering the other. My husband ordered the breakfast burger and fries, which he said was great, he is a HUGE fan of Bru Burger Bars house ketchup. Our son had a kids cheeseburger and fries which he loved! The restaurant is gorgeous for a burger joint. Despite us visiting on a busy Sunday afternoon our service was great and our waitress checked on us often. We will definitely be returning! read more

Came in for Devour which is $15 per person. This includes a starter which can be chili cheese fries and choice of other appetizers or salads and choice of select sandwiches. This is a deal but used to be better. In the past you got a shared appetizer sandwich with a side and a cheesecake to share 2 for $30. So wish they would bring this one back. read more

Finally got to try this chain! I was initially surprised by the overall layout of the restaurant- different sections divided out by rooms featuring a variety of different seating options. We were put at a tall table with padded chairs. Overall an awesome restaurant layout and design ideas. Probably makes it easy for private events and parties. As far as the food goes, it was just ok. Nothing special. My burger was good but was cooked rare instead of medium which I had asked for. Wish I would have ordered the small size as I didn't finish it or want to take it home. The fries and coleslaw were also just ok. Our table agreed that the service was a little strange. Our waitress kept on asking us if we wanted things. "Would we like straws? How many, 2? We were on our way to the airport so we requested fast service which we received. The service was also exceptional. However, they have changed their vendor in the last few years and no longer carry Halal beef.
