The employees are friendly and helpful. There is a nursing room in the back for mothers and always seems to be a place to sit. I love finding a coffee shop that has their own house made syrups. I tried the monthly special, Wildflower latte with an added espresso shot and sadly it just tasted like flavored milk. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Overall, it's a fun spot with options for everyone and a great addition to the Plainfield area.

Super cute coffee cafe! Came with a couple of friends to work, unfortunately, the wifi was extremely spotty, even when we tried using the wifi on our phones it wasn't working well. The space is modern, fresh and clean with calming colors. Service was quick while ordering. I ordered the pistachio latte and added the sweet cream cold foam ... it was very good! My friend ordered it as well and she was surprised at how good it was too. It was very smooth and not very sweet at all. I also ordered the breakfast flatbread - wow - the bread was soft and crust was crispy, it was cheesy and the veggies were fresh with the eggs having a perfect touch, definitely recommend! I do feel like they could add a couple extra tables for seating though.

The Green Room Cafe has been on my list of places to try in Avon or Plainfield for a minute now. Today I had an opportunity to see why it's been rated so highly on Yelp. The cafe itself is charming and beautiful. The breakfast items are reasonably priced and I would like to try them next time. However, this visit I was craving lunch and ordered the Balsamic/Bacon/Brussel sprouts salad. They give you the option to make it a flatbread or sandwich too if you prefer those over a salad. This applies to other menu items as well. I don't think I've ever had Brussel sprouts in a salad before but I was surprised at how much liked them chilled. The bacon jam and additional bacon is plentiful. The greens were fresh and delicious with the balsamic dressing. The cafe was busy and there weren't many places to sit--always a good sign. The food took a little longer than I would have liked for a salad without hot items but I plan to return when in downtown Plainfield regardless.

Love this place! Its nestled in downtown plainfield and is in the same building as the Hendricks live art center. Everyone was nice and attentive and described the menu to us. This café also has another section that offers cocktails i will be back for repeat business..

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this gem. Needed caffeine and snacks as we were passing through to Terre Haute. Walked in to find this beautifully designed space. So bright and open. I so wanted to try all the coffee drinks but settled on one and it arrived in a large mug; exactly what mama needed. The flatbread was satisfying and tasty and the boys devoured the blueberry muffin and wanted more. Will have to come back whenever we're in the area to try more. Even leave the boys at home and return for evening date because there's also a bar here too.

My work friends and I stopped in here for a lunch date and had a lovely time. The interior is GORGEOUS and I forgot to get a picture of the floor to add to my review. It was my favorite part of the inside of the cafe. Three of us had mimosas- love that they use Lamarca Prosecco (my fave). I also got a brown sugar latte to try and it hit the spot. For food, I ordered a blueberry muffin and the bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissant to eat. The muffin was really moist and flavorful, but the bacon on the croissant had a type of glaze on it that I wasn't expecting, so I would probably try out a lunch item the next time I stop in. One friend ordered the potato stack and the meatballs and enjoyed her food, another friend opted for the Mediterranean flatbread and really liked it, and my other friend ordered the steak and cheese salad. She liked her salad and a couple of the listed ingredients were out of stock, so they quickly offered to add different toppings for her. All of the staff were super friendly, gave us time to look over the drink and food menus, and offered recommendations. The cafe and restrooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The only downside is that since it is a cafe, the items came out cooked to order, so some of us didn't get to eat "together" because they all came out sometime apart. Just something to keep in mind if coming here with other people, in case you have a time constraint. I can't wait to stop in again!

Welcome to Plainfield, the Green Room Cafe! Stopped in at 5:00 on a Saturday for cocktails. Bartender was kind, excited for us to be there, and patient as we made our selection. Drinks were delicious and made with care. Street parking and free parking garage makes for plenty of options. Interior was clean and well kept. Will be back to try their coffee menu!

Love the decor and set up. Overall, a very cute spot! I came here to grab a coffee and check it out. My cold brew was on the acidic side but would be willing to come back and try another drink sometime.

The tomato soup is soo good! The chicken pesto sandwich was not so bad but I think I prefer it as a flatbread. The place was very spacious and beautiful. I did wish they had more outlets or extension cords for plugs.

Kind service and delicious food and drinks! I got a latte but have had their lunch and desserts in the past too.

This was my first time trying Turkish coffee, and I absolutely loved it! For other first-time…read morevisitors, I recommend letting the coffee sit for about 30 seconds before taking a sip so the fine grounds can settle to the bottom. Also, don't stir it after it's served, as that will bring the grounds back up into the coffee. Be sure to leave the last sip or two in the cup, since that's where the grounds collect. The coffee itself was excellent, but I would recommend that servers explain these details to first-time customers or at least ask whether they've had Turkish coffee before. A little guidance would make the experience even better for newcomers. We also ordered the hummus as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The naan was served warm, and the hummus tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect way to start the meal. We also ordered The Bosphorus Special, a mixed grill platter featuring doner, kofte, chicken kebab, beef kebab, Adana kebab, and chicken Adana kebab, served with vegetables and white rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm so glad my significant other and I decided to share this entrée because the portion was very generous, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, it did not negatively impact our overall experience. After our food was served, our waitress did not check back to see how everything was or whether we needed anything additional. We also ended up with quite a few leftovers and requested to-go containers. Initially, only one small container was brought to the table, which required two additional follow-ups before we received enough containers for the remaining food. One suggestion I would offer is that, for tables ordering larger meals, it may be helpful for servers to proactively offer to box up leftovers as dishes are cleared. For just two people, our table became overcrowded rather quickly, especially with the generous portions. Since our waitress did not return after the food was served, it made managing the table and leftovers a little challenging. That said, we had a wonderful first experience overall. The food was outstanding, the portions were generous, and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

Both were delicious and well portioned. The guvec (veggie casserole) had eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, and other veggies plus rice and a small salad. The delight had carrots, eggplant, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, served on top of hummus and walnuts. The food was delivered quickly given the restaurant was full on a Friday night. Good thing we made reservations, which we will do again when we return.

Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.

Located in a cute blue house, this is conveniently located near Lucas Oil Stadium and there was a huge concert going on the night we were there, but we were still allowed to park in their parking area. Inside has nice lighting and is pretty plain but has a homey feel. The menu contains many items we're familiar with having visited Greece twice. So I'm going to be a little critical here with my review of the food. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti, which I have had in Greece. Unfortunately this was not at all what I was expecting or anything like Greek spaghetti. What I was served was basically Prego spaghetti sauce with pieces of gyro in it. Traditional Greek spaghetti (or Makaronia me Kima) is a wonderful sauce that's seasoned with all kinds of memorable spices. It's definitely not pieces of gyro meat thrown in a sauce. So while this was fine, it was not what I truly wanted or thought I was getting so I was pretty disappointed. My husband got the chicken souvlaki and that was better but still not quite like what I remember. The meat was almost smoked and lacked some of the Greek spices that gives it a distinct taste. And the tzatziki...well, let's just say it tastes like whipped feta and was lacking in flavor too. I did enjoy the pita bread. Our service was underwhelming as well. It took a while for anyone to notice we were there and needed to be seated and the server basically did the bare minimum, never even asking if we wanted our water refilled. Overall, it was fine. If I had never been to Greece, I may have a different opinion but this isn't someplace I really want to go back to.
