Decided to try a newish spot in Plainfield, IN - The Green Room Cafe. The cafe is located by the Plainfield Government Center. There is plenty of parking and many other restaurants shops nearby. The inside is clean and modern. There are roughly 10 tables, a comfy couch and chairs, and a small bar area. I HAD to try the Beach Day Latte. The latte was made perfectly. The icing on the cake was the house made coconut cold foam! Ohmygoodness- it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was standard. I will say they did cook my egg to my liking. The bacon was good but still had grease on the two pieces. Our order taker was friendly and extremely helpful with the explaining the menu. I will definitely go back further the lattes! read more

The employees are friendly and helpful. There is a nursing room in the back for mothers and always seems to be a place to sit. I love finding a coffee shop that has their own house made syrups. I tried the monthly special, Wildflower latte with an added espresso shot and sadly it just tasted like flavored milk. I want to be able to taste the espresso and decided to pivot to a cocktail instead. Their cocktails were well made and the presentation was perfect. While there isn't a large selection of liquors, they have the staples to make most go-to cocktails in addition to their monthly specials (both cocktail and mocktail options). The food is what really stands out and would bring me back. You are able to choose a salad, flatbread or sandwich and their creations are unique and delicious. I had the pesto, peas and goat cheese on flatbread and was pleasantly surprised to find I could order the flatbread as a half order for $9 instead of committing to a whole order. I will be back but the coffee still needs some work before it would be enticing enough to became my go to location. Super cute coffee cafe! Came with a couple of friends to work, unfortunately, the wifi was extremely spotty, even when we tried using the wifi on our phones it wasn't working well. The space is modern, fresh and clean with calming colors. Service was quick while ordering. I ordered the pistachio latte and added the sweet cream cold foam ... it was very good! My friend ordered it as well and she was surprised at how good it was too. It was very smooth and not very sweet at all. I also ordered the breakfast flatbread - wow - the bread was soft and crust was crispy, it was cheesy and the veggies were fresh with the eggs having a perfect touch, definitely recommend! I do feel like they could add a couple extra tables for seating though. read more

The Green Room Cafe has been on my list of places to try in Avon or Plainfield for a minute now. Today I had an opportunity to see why it's been rated so highly on Yelp. The cafe itself is charming and beautiful. The breakfast items are reasonably priced and I would like to try them next time. However, this visit I was craving lunch and ordered the Balsamic/Bacon/Brussel sprouts salad. They give you the option to make it a flatbread or sandwich too if you prefer those over a salad. This applies to other menu items as well. I don't think I've ever had Brussel sprouts in a salad before but I was surprised at how much liked them chilled. The bacon jam and additional bacon is plentiful. The greens were fresh and delicious with the balsamic dressing. The cafe was busy and there weren't many places to sit--always a good sign. The food took a little longer than I would have liked for a salad without hot items but I plan to return when in downtown Plainfield regardless. read more

Thank you Yelp for helping us find this gem. Needed caffeine and snacks as we were passing through to Terre Haute. Walked in to find this beautifully designed space. So bright and open. I so wanted to try all the coffee drinks but settled on one and it arrived in a large mug; exactly what mama needed. The flatbread was satisfying and tasty and the boys devoured the blueberry muffin and wanted more. Will have to come back whenever we're in the area to try more. Even leave the boys at home and return for evening date because there's also a bar here too. read more

My work friends and I stopped in here for a lunch date and had a lovely time. The interior is GORGEOUS and I forgot to get a picture of the floor to add to my review. It was my favorite part of the inside of the cafe. Three of us had mimosas- love that they use Lamarca Prosecco (my fave). I also got a brown sugar latte to try and it hit the spot. For food, I ordered a blueberry muffin and the bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissant to eat. The muffin was really moist and flavorful, but the bacon on the croissant had a type of glaze on it that I wasn't expecting, so I would probably try out a lunch item the next time I stop in. One friend ordered the potato stack and the meatballs and enjoyed her food, another friend opted for the Mediterranean flatbread and really liked it, and my other friend ordered the steak and cheese salad. She liked her salad and a couple of the listed ingredients were out of stock, so they quickly offered to add different toppings for her. All of the staff were super friendly, gave us time to look over the drink and food menus, and offered recommendations. The cafe and restrooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The only downside is that since it is a cafe, the items came out cooked to order, so some of us didn't get to eat "together" because they all came out sometime apart. So happy that downtown Plainfield now has a cute coffeeshop I can work out of! The minute I walked in I couldn't help but take in the cute modern decor and the big glass windows. I walked up to the counter and was quickly greeted as I scanned over the menu. I quickly decided on a seasonal iced gingerbread latte and I am so glad that I did! The latte was perfectly balanced and had the right hint of gingerbread without being overpowering. One fun surprise is that this coffeeshop also has a bar in the corner where they serve cocktails after a certain hour!! This is a pretty little nice place in the middle of busy Plainfield Indiana area. This is definitely family friendly and business casual. They have a good choices of coffee. I think they may even have some tea. I don't remember exactly. They do have some great muffins and quick breakfast picks which are delicious. They're blueberry muffin and banana nut where some of the best delicious food we have had. I was there on a work-related meeting and found this place really amazing. Customer service is great. They are very patient. If it's the customers and help in the orders. There is no parking space right in front of the restaurant but there may be a few on the street parking if the street is not busy. If not, you just have to drive a little further behind and there is a big parking space available that is free where you can park and walk to the cafe. read more

Beautiful interior with various seating options, though I'm usually on the run and take it to go. Counter service is always very friendly and usually quite efficient, but it's a smaller place so they don't have the capacity to handle a lot of throughput at once for espresso-based drinks. read more

Tomato soup straight out of a can, potato skins very dry. Bread/roll came with soup; don't bother. Meatballs overly dry, sauce didn't even cover them. Maybe we went on a bad day? Mid-week, lunch time. Everything just very dry and very unimpressive. Would not recommend or go again. Bummer! read more

Half salads for my sister & me - delicious and plentiful! Hers was bbq chicken, mine steak. Another patron had the bbq chicken on flat bread which she said was very good.
