Founders/Speedway City Garage continues to be our FAVORITE coffee shop! I love and appreciate their sugar-free options so that Im able to partake in some fun concoctions! The new space is so amazing, I work remote so I often use their shop as my go to for the day throughout the month! I enjoy every beverage I try and they do well on feeding me too! I cant say enough on the team, they are AMAZING and are some of my favorite faces to see every weekend! I went as far as to crochet them a basket of multiple items ranging from hats and gloves for Christmas last year because they're seriously so sweet, its like a 2nd family for me!

Happy to have been a part of the soft opening between Founders Grounds,a well loved Speedway Favorite, and Pax Verum Brewing Company! The atmosphere was celebratory as longtime customers rejoiced at having their favorite spot open once again as well as celebrating the new partnership and excitement of seeing what's to come in 2026. Service was extremely fast, friendly and great for the soft opening. Having been a longtime customer myself of the old location just down the road, I was excited to hear about the partnership and glad to have all that I love about Founders Grounds still in tact. I ordered the Chicken Salad Croissant which came with Chips as well as I ordered the Mango Matcha which was excellent! Love the various seating arrangements as well as the variation of textures in the decor. So excited to see what will unfold in May, as I was told their liquor license should be in tact then if schedule goes smoothly. I also learned that in June a private room will be opening and am curious to see that as well. Lots of new things unfolding!

I got a medium vanilla latte & my date ordered a different hot drink but his was served in a mug with a saucer while mine was placed in a Togo cup - my date stated we were dining in. Idk maybe the cashier was giving me the option to leave quickly if needs be (if that's the case, good looking out lol) the flavor of the coffee gave off - it was sitting in one of those carafes as it was already pre-made, which isn't the case because watched it be made. I think the coffee beans/grounds they use are very weak in flavor! I did order a blt + turkey sandwich which I was unable to get a photo of because I was starving lol it was a 5/5 though.

My boyfriend and I came on Mother's day (unintentionally) and we waited about 10-15 minutes to sit at the bar. Getting our orders taken & our food served definitely took a bit of time, but we enjoyed seeing all the cooks in action and getting to smell all the amazing smells!! I got Grandpa's one pan skillet and my boyfriend got the sausage breakfast sandwich on croissant bread. All I gotta say is those chefs definitely knew what they were doing! The flavors were unique and intentional and I enjoyed every bite. The home fries (potatoes) were also so yummy and everything was cooked really well. There's nothing basic about borage and I love that! This place is a gem. They also have a cafe/market area where you can order drinks and pastries. I wish we waited until we got seated to order drinks because the menu was much more extensive than what I saw in the cafe and I would have ordered a different drink had I seen all the other options. The staff here are also very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our little brunch and will be back with family next time!

This is a nice minority owned small business that serves coffee and pastries. The owner was running things while I was there and he was very friendly and helpful. The shop is kind of retro and has a small dining area that you can enjoy your purchases it. I will admit, the pastries did not look too appealing to me. They looked like they had been there a while. They have a small coffee menu that is direct and to the point. My friend order a coffee Americano and I asked the barista for something sweet and tasty. He suggested a Somali tea. It did not take long for us to get our drinks. My friend said his was good. Much better than the chain coffee shop that starts with S. Mine was good too. It was piping hot. I had to let it cool down a bit, before I could fully enjoy it. This shop has some very reasonable prices. You can't beat them. It has great ownership and a cozy/quaint dining area. I recommend checking this place out if you are in the area.

I like the nice open space for seating, which had some half booth seats along the wall, some regular tables, some benches or single chairs, and some slightly partitioned areas with tables. I think with this, just about all the desired seating options are covered. Ordering at the counter is done for service whether it is sit-down or to-go. I had to take mine to-go at my visit. I got my partner an iced mocha and blueberry muffin, and he said he really liked both. I got a graham slam latte, which had all the s'mores flavors topped with cold foam, graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate drizzle. Yum! It was a very rich drink but very worthwhile. It is a bit challenging to find parking but there are a few spots in front. I parked down the street and walked which is always an option. It can be quite loud so keep that in mind if you want a quieter reflection time, and maybe take it to go or sit outside. They have various food items but I absolutely LOVE their peanut butter energy balls! In fact that is why I came to this location as this is where the magic happens. They make them here and send them to other Tinker locations! They are the perfect blend of savory and a tad sweet and go super well with their coffee and/or London Fog tea. Yum! The aesthetic is there. I want to be here. But at your price point, the experience needs to match the atmosphere, and lately there have been a few things quietly chipping away at that. First -- the syrup situation. I shouldn't have to order a specific menu latte just to get a flavored drink. A little flexibility goes a long way in making a customer feel like a guest and not just a transaction. Let me build my drink a little. I'll spend more, I promise. And the pastries, baby. I ordered a croissant and watched it get placed in a bag with a thin sheet of paper like it didn't deserve better. By the time I got home, it had made up its mind to be a different pastry entirely. I know there's a microwave back there -- I've seen it working for the breakfast sandwiches. A warm croissant is a small thing that changes everything. I'm not going anywhere. But I need you to know I notice these things -- because I care about what this place could be. Still yours (for now), A regular.
