Excellent food and service! I have never believed that shakshuka could actually be good but boy was I proved wrong!! This was my favorite dish! The feta fries were also really good. I want to try everything and I cannot wait to return. The space is cute and decorated with local art. Highly recommend!

Nice little neighborhood cafe. Very welcoming folks and atmosphere. Killer coffee if I may say so. I just had a regular cup of joe, but they also offer many fancy coffee concoctions. Something for every taste. Their menu is small and a little eclectic. Something for the adventurous amongst us, which is not a bad thing by any means. I chose the hash with my eggs over easy and it was delicious. The crepes, bennys and shakshukas also received high marks from my group members. Parking can be quite difficult in this area and you may need to move onto some side streets.

Shakshuka - A dish of shakshuka, featuring eggs cooked in a spiced tomato sauce, is presented with pita bread slices arranged around the dish. The shakshuka is garnished with chopped herbs and crumbled cheese, likely feta. The presentation is on a white plate, and the background suggests a restaurant environment.

One of my new favorite restaurants. Their food is flavorful, well-balanced, and thoughtful. The chickpea salad is served well-chilled, making it a refreshing accompaniment to the dishes we ordered. And it's not boring by any means. The well-cooked consistency of the chickpeas and the flavor of the dressing were perfect. I could eat a whole bowl by myself. Their shakshuka was another great vegetarian option, served with their fry bread. The moussaka bowl was a hit at the table, especially the bolognese. Everything was well-seasoned. Not bland and not too salty. Just right. It's a great place to order family-style if you're with a group. Employees are friendly, with great service. The owner greeted us and created a welcoming environment. The chef came to the table and we could see his passion for cooking and producing quality dishes.

Oooooo! A new place close to home! I've been waiting for Yazsh to open since their sign went up months ago. I went with a group for brunch. Their menu isn't overwhelming but I still struggled making a decision. I landed on the salmon benedict. I loved the puff pastry used for the bread and my salmon was delicious. I was surprised it didn't have a poached egg. The sauce was flavorful but slightly salty for me. All the same, I was happy with my food. I also got a spiced mocha, which was quite good. Most of the dishes were under $20. The space is small and parking will be on the street. I was able to walk, which makes me super happy. I am so excited about a new restaurant in this area and look forward to a return visit to try some of those other dishes. Try Yazsh for something tasty and a little different!

Main area - The image shows the interior of a restaurant with dark-colored walls and a wooden floor. Several tables are set with glasses, napkins, and small decorative items. A bar area with high chairs is visible in the background, along with wall-mounted air conditioning units and framed pictures. The space appears well-lit and organized for dining.

Had an amazing breakfast with my brother (it's walking distance from his house). Excellent service. Loved the open, bright, and airy atmosphere. I got the hash and my brother got the egg scramble. Both were great. Serving sizes were a bit small for the price, IMHO and I didn't really see the fries in my hash. We both asked for hot sauce and got individual house made hot sauce that was amazing! Be careful though, the heat will sneak up on ya! I got the 3 and 1 coffee as it was something different and really liked it. The server went light on the simple syrup and she made the right call!

Moussaka bowl - A large white plate holds fried chicken pieces, French fries, and toppings such as crumbled cheese and gravy. The fried chicken appears crispy, and the fries are scattered around the plate. The toppings are placed in the center, garnished with chopped herbs. The setting includes utensils and glasses in the background.

Just ok. People were really friendly, thrilled to see a neighborhood serving place here, and I wanted to love the food, but it was just ok. I ordered a Mousakka bowl and was really bummed out that eggplant and (I think) strips of squash were battered and deep fried. The meat sauce to bechamel ratio also made it too heavy. Their cucumber salad is pre-prepared and so you couldn't omit anything. (Well the menu said "modifications politely declined" anyway), Their salad had too much going on it. One of my favorite Mediterranean salads is cucumber, tomato, and onion, but this one also had tri color peppers and didn't taste like it had lemon juice, which always freshens up the dish. It could just be beginning kinks, but I want to be honest.

I'm so happy this area has a cute and delicious cafe to grab lunch or coffee! I came on opening weekend and had a lovely time. The owner greeted me and asked me a few questions about myself. The wait staff is really attentive and kind as well. The inside feels so cozy and I loved the homage to the owners familial roots with all the photos on the wall. It was just me, so I ordered the sausage melt and a coffee to go. The sausage melt was to die for!!! Unique and bold flavors that worked so well together. The specialty latte was very yummy as well. I can't wait to come with friends so I can try a true spread!

Lukanka Salami Special - A quesadilla with a toasted, golden-brown surface is presented on a white plate, accompanied by a small bowl of chopped vegetable salad containing cucumbers, red onions, and bell peppers. The dish is set on a dark wooden table, with another plate of food visible in the background.

My partner and I really enjoyed our meals! We could tell that the food was cooked with great ingredients and with great care! My partner had the arancini and it was perfection. All of the flavors were balanced and bright! I had the lukanka salami sandwich and it was so flavorful without being too heavy. We also really loved the service and the atmosphere. The owner has a lot of love for the restaurant and it's apparent! We will absolutely be back!

Stuffed French toast man with berry coulis arms. We ate our food too quickly to get any good photos. - The image shows a breakfast plate with a piece of French toast topped with a drizzle of cream and berry sauce, arranged on a white plate. A small cup contains mixed berries including strawberries, grapes, and blueberries. The plate is decorated with sauce or syrup in a pattern resembling a smiley face or abstract design. The setting includes a drink, a menu, and some pens on a wooden table.

Sweet little spot with very friendly and kind staff and absolutely delicious food. They were very accommodating for our kids. We love having this gem in the neighborhood!

Our foodie group came to check out the new restaurant Yazsh for brunch one Sunday afternoon and it was worth the experience. This new Turkish/Mediterranean restaurant in downtown Indy served a variety of brunch items and unique beverages that I had never heard of which caught my attention. This is a small venue, so there is not a lot of space for large groups. You would definitely need to arrive early in the morning to guarantee a seat because it fills up quickly, or have a seat at the bar. The ambiance is very quaint and nice with a beautiful bar area, and the artwork on the walls are lovely and very personable. It does make you feel like you are at home when you come to Yazsh. The food is incredible and top notch quality. The beverages are also very impressive. I ordered the egg Scramble entree with a matcha Lavender Latte. The matcha Lavender Latte was fantastic and tasted amazing. It was very fresh off the machine and the combination of flavors came out of the beverage. The egg Scramble entree was just perfect! The eggs were very fresh and the combination of veggies made it taste even more delicious. I also had a side of fruit cup which was very good and very fresh. I sampled the crepes which were pure heaven in my mouth. The chickpea salad is also the best thing that they have on the menu. It is a great healthy side dish to accompany your entree. The service is wonderful and incredible among the staff. They took very good care of our group and made sure we had everything we needed. Yazsh is a wonderful new addition to downtown Indy and I predict it will stay around for a long time. Everything about this place is perfect and flawless! You need to come experience brunch at Yazsh! It is worth it!

Feta fries - A large white plate contains a serving of French fries topped with crumbled feta cheese, a lemon wedge, and sprigs of fresh herbs, likely dill. The fries are drizzled with a creamy sauce, and the dish is presented on a dark wooden table with a small empty bowl, a fork, and a knife nearby. The setting suggests a casual dining environment at a Mediterranean cafe.

What a great spot. Met a friend for lunch and tried the feta fries and the vegan chickpea sandwich. Both were super flavorful, and the food was fresh. Excellent service! I will say... it was pricey for lunch, but worth it overall. I'll be back.

The entire place is covered with the evil eye charms, so you should definitely be safe here. I highly recommend reservations because they sure get busy. And while the ambiance is great, you really cannot linger for long, as there are usually folks waiting to get a seat. The menu is quite extensive and offers plenty for carnivores and vegetarians alike. I opted for the Iskender, which is crisp pita bread pieces topped with meat slices, all of it doused in a savory tomato based sauce and topped with dollops of yoghurt. The bread has little crisp edges and together with the meat and toppings gives you like a mini sandwich in your mouth. Simply delicious. The Turkish spices bring a wonderful flavor to the dish. I highly recommend it. Hat to admit it, but I have not been too impressed with the tzaziki on previous visits. It was somewhat runny and bland, but I haven't had in a while. Street parking is limited, but in the summer there is a gravel lot on the side of the neighboring building. However when it snows, parking can be a bit of a problem, so be aware.

Requesting something other than pizza and burgers is a big deal! I ordered the beef shawarma and the chicken shawarma, just so we could try both. Both looked like a burrito, which is familiar to my kids, so they went with it. We liked the beef, but the chicken shawarma was mind-blowing, and we will definitely be ordering this again. You can get the shawarma by itself or as a meal, which means it comes with fries. I also got the gyro, which comes with sliced beef and lamb, yellow rice, hummus, salad, tzatziki and pita. Because we got our food to go, the pita came separate from everything else, and I had to assemble my gyro myself like a little taco. It was delicious, but so much food! Honestly, the gyro plate can feed two people easily. Because I can't pass up a baba ganoush, I ordered a small one. They have some excellent baba ganoush at Sahara! I think this might even be my baba ganoush go-to now. Ordering online is very easy, and my food was ready to be picked up even before it was supposed to be. The only thing is that Sahara is located on the Broad Ripple strip, so parking can be iffy. I didn't find any parking in front of the restaurant, so I had to circle the block a bit before I found a spot.
