Came here for a biz meeting and then decided to get some work done. All of a sudden I look up and I realized I had been there almost 5 hours! All this to say - great spot for remote working! There are communal tables, couches, high top + regular tables, and outlets all over. Order from the seasonal menu and you will not be disappointed!!
Met some coworkers for a work lunch and while I had been to North Mass I had never gotten anything from Top Out Cafe. They have a lot of space to hang out or get some work done which is super nice. I ordered the chefs special which was a chicken curry croissant and it was delicious. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.
Smelly when you walk in since it's a gym but cute cafe upstairs. They have a lot of options, but they do charge to sweeten your drink, they told me they wouldn't charge me because I didn't think my drink was sweet enough, but they told me in the future it is a charge - I just didn't know that while ordering. The Chia seed pudding was really good. It was perfectly sweetened and the kiwis were delicious. I am going to start doing that when I make it homemade. The sticky wings were great very crunchy flavorful, I just wish they came with like celery and ranch on the side. They have plenty of seating inside couches, chairs, benches. They even have a conference room. they have clean bathrooms and overall friendly service
Top Out Cafe has been on my list to visit for a really long time. I knew they had rock climbing but I was honestly surprised to see they had a gym in there too, but I loved it! There's a decent amount of space to sit and do some work. I really enjoyed how spacious everything was and how there are tables and couches in the upstairs area. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich and I was honestly blown away. The croissant was huge! The sriracha aioli is incredible with the buttery and flakey croissant. I was able to enjoy this breakfast and get some work done. I'll definitely be back!
A great cafe in addition to a large setting for working or enjoying company. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Good coffee drinks with baked goods available and lots of smoothie options to choose from. They also have lunch items and tons of refrigerated beverages plus cold beer. You can pick a table or a more comfortable couch option if you'd prefer. Enjoy your food/drink in a fun and lively setting!
The ambiance of this cafe was amazing. Being right above a gym brought a demographic of people I usually don't see frequenting a study cafe. It was interesting to see people come directly from a workout to a zoom meeting, or a study session with friends. The workers were incredibly kind, and their vibes were unmatched. The food was also amazing. The portion sizes were huge and the food tasted great. I stayed at this spot for about 3-4 hours and everyone was extremely respectful with the space. For it to be above a gym it was pretty quiet and everyone in the study space kept talking at a nice volume. Overall an amazing experience and I would definitely go back!
Love Top Out Cafe! It's located inside North Mass Boulder on the upper level and they offer both drinks as well as a wide range menu of healthy food items. I tried the sweet potato fries which were both gorgeous and delicious. It's part of their seasonal menu so it might not be around for much longer. This is a great place to hang out with friends as they have board games and lounge chairs. Will definitely be back!
I always love coming to this cafe to work after taking Yoga classes. When I want to splurge I'll get something at the cafe! I've tried the Buddha Bowl before and it was alright but I will say I loved their cappuccino and pumpkin sugar cookie I tried! The portions were generous and it was the perfect amount of sweetness with the cappuccino cutting any super sugary taste. Perfect for a cold day! From what I've seen of their menu and the food that's been served to others there are so many tasty yet healthy options offered! The place is typically full with remote workers around lunch time but there are plenty of seating options available. Can't wait to go back again!
Um did you guys already know that the top floor cafe/bar/co-working space of this bouldering gym in Indianapolis wasn't gimmicky and actually AMAZING? the food items and smoothie items are genuinely delicious and so filling, with generous portions. The prices are SO reasonable but maybe I'm used to Chicago prices rippy. In any case, north mass boulder is already a GREAT bouldering gym and on top of that (quite literally) top out cafe is a standout cafe!!
This adorable little cafe is located inside North Mass Boulder. While my daughter and her friends were climbing, they decided to take a break for acai bowls. They are pre-teens and it's the "aesthetic" thing to do now days. They'd never had real bowls though so they were in for a treat. The bowls are HUGE! They don't warn you of that without question. They are loaded with toppings and they are certainly worth every bite. They have several other offerings and I can't wait to go back and try more.
I am a climber at North Mass Boulder, but it is not often I frequent the Top Out Cafe for a snack or drink. Lately, I have been stopping by more to check out their somewhat recently updated menu. I had 20 minutes to kill while waiting for my boyfriend to arrive with my climbing shoes, and I was super hungry after a long day of work. With that in mind, I headed upstairs to grab a snack. I knew I didn't want anything too heavy before climbing so I settled on a smoothie. I love smoothies, but I am allergic to mango- a very common smoothie ingredient. I found something on the menu that didn't have mango and went with that. It was some type of berry smoothie. The employee offered to wash the blender because they use mango in it. I said no thank you because I am not super allergic to mango, but it was a really nice gesture. I had a reward from Top Out Cafe, so my drink ended up being pretty cheap. I probably only waited 2-3 minutes for the drink in total. Upon the first sip, I really enjoyed the taste of the drink. However, I was not as big of a fan of the texture. When I drink smoothies, I want them to be somewhat thick which usually comes from the ice blended with it. I don't want it to be so thick that it won't fit through the straw, but thick enough to feel like a smoothie. This was kinda like drinking juice or like flavored milk. It was really thin and lacked that smoothie feel. Again, the taste was REALLY good, but just not exactly like I love. It goes without saying that I love the feel of Top Out Cafe. I go there often for community events. Recently, I joined North Mass's Beer League, and after climbing every Tuesday, I get a drink ticket to use for draft drinks upstairs. Something about a beer on a Tuesday doesn't hit as hard, so I get kombucha every week. Their kombucha on draft is heavenly. Even from the same company, kombucha in cans just has a vinegary taste that I don't love. On draft, it's perfect!! Overall, I am confident I will be returning to Top Out Cafe. I don't get food often, but I love their trivia events and things of that nature!
Love the vibe inside of Top Out Cafe! It is large space perfect for spreading out and doing any work or homework. They offer a fairly wide variety of hot and cold food items, as well as coffees, juices and smoothies. When I visited I ordered the caprese sandwich. It was an overall tasty sandwich, just maybe a little too sweet for me. My friend ordered the avocado toast with a soft boiled egg and it was so rich in flavor. It did take a while before we received our food but it just started to get busy after we ordered. I have been twice now and hope to be back more and more. It is also very cool to walk into North Mass Boulder and see all the rock walls and high ceilings. Seems like a great place to get a snack/lunch after an intense climbing session or workout.
This place is soooooo cool! Located inside the new North Mass Boulder building, this cafe sits on top of colorful indoor murals, rock walls, and a gym. There are huge wooden tables with lots of plugs for co-working, as well as a conference room, comfy chairs, and a bartop. The music is bumping and the space is cute. The cafe menu goes far beyond a typical coffee shop. Top Out offers breakfast bowls, acai bowls, smoothies, juices, elixirs, avocado and hummus toasts, coffee, tea, kombucha, salads, snacks, paninis, Impossible burgers, sticky wings, and ice cream. I asked the guy at the counter what he recommended and he shared that his favorites are the goodness greens juice and chicken pesto panini. I ordered both and they were fantastic. The juice is $7.50, but it was SO GOOD and obviously very healthy. Next time I stop in, I want to try the island acai bowl or the kale Caesar salad. Everything just sounds amazing, ya' know?! The wifi there works great, so this would be a perfect place to meet up with a co-worker or work solo. Plus, you can head downstairs for a mini workout / climbing break.
Some of the reviews love this place. It's ok. If you work remote which a lot of people were glued to their computers this might be great. The two long tables to sit and eat were dirty. Crumbs and liquids on them. I saw a big ant crawling on the counter top by the register. So, instead of sitting at a table I had to sit on a cushioned chair and eat my food over a cushioned stool. The only highlight of this place is that they were playing the World Cup. I was only here because I had somewhere to be close to this place. Parking is hard to find also. I had to park all the way over by Shin Dig. That's all I can say about it. :-/ The girl at the register was nice. read more
During my recent visit, I was struck by how much North Mass Boulder is a community space. It's not just a rock climbing or yoga gym but a gathering space. And Top Out Cafe is a big part of that. I came to the cafe for a co-working afternoon with some of my colleagues. We were able to grab a small conference room and work while we enjoyed our drinks and lunch. I started with a dirty chai, which hit the spot. And then I got the Chicken Pesto Panini, made with tomato, spinach, avocado and mozzarella cheese, served on rosemary focaccia bread. I got it without the onion. This sandwich was large, and I can see it being a great compliment to a workout. The cafe area seemed packed on the Friday afternoon I visited. It looks like a working space as much as a gym cafe. The service here was bright and friendly. And if I ever go back, I'm definitely going to try some of their smoothie bowls or salads. I might even rock climb (why not!). read more
Top Out Café is one of my favorite spots in the city -- hands down. Their prices are great, the food is always fresh and actually tastes like real ingredients (because it is!), and the coffee is chef's kiss. I love that I can grab something quick that still feels healthy and delicious. And if you're here later in the day, they have some seriously good drink options too -- wine, beer,... it's a fun little surprise for a café inside a gym. It's located upstairs at North Mass Boulder, but you don't have to be climbing to enjoy it. (If you haven't been bouldering there. You should check that out!!! They have day passes available.) There are tons of places to sit and relax -- tables up front with a nice view of the action, bar seating, and a super comfy gathering space in the back with couches that feels like a hangout living room. It's the perfect place to meet a friend, grab a casual drink, or get some work done with a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the vibe is laid-back, and the food and drinks always hit the spot. Highly recommend stopping by -- whether you're here to climb or just here to hang out! read more

Went for one of the Totally Bazaar events and stayed for a few hours. Parking and getting through the waiver process was a bit frustrating, but once I made it upstairs the horchata latte and this muffin did not disappoint. This is a nice place to work: WiFi, ample seating, meeting rooms, and a decent noise level. My friends and I were pretty productive during our afternoon here. Friendly staff, affordable pricing, and comprehensive menu. Check it out! read more

We love Top Out! Tucked inside North Mass Boulder, this cafe is in our regular rotation. They serve a range of great, good sized paninis, lots of smoothie bowls with delicious toppings, chicken tacos, chicken nachos, toasts etc.... They also have smoothies, beers, coffees etc.... Parking is super easy. They have WiFi too. Highly recommend. read more
Great hidden gem! On the top floor, it is wide open and plenty of space. Latte was good, avocado toast really good. It is a no-tip place and they say they pay a living wage, which is cool. Provides a good vibe. Amazed at the large free parking lot. Plenty of space to pull out a laptop and work from. Great place for a snack and a coffee, even if you don't climb. read more

Came here as a group of 3, for their drag brunch that costed $10 Drag brunch was amazing, their inclusivity was *chef's kiss* we loved the diversity of the queen we saw it was valentines themed with music from 70s to now love songs, the queens gave amazing performances! Drag brunch was limited to I believe 100 tickets and it was first come first served communal seating so we got there early enough to pick a good spot For their drag brunch they sold $30 unlimited mimosas that both of my friends got and they took advantage of that, I got the beer flight of mostly fruited sour beers it was good! It was 4 four oz pours for $9 The food menu for their drag brunch was limited and you think because it was limited it'll be faster service, maybe, but it wasn't, both of my friends got a breakfast sandwich that took a while but my chicken bacon ranch sandwich took about an hour and half to arrive, and asked about my order an hour in after ordering and didn't get my food until the people next to us asked the staff about it for me, finally got my order after an hour and half from ordering, they felt bad and corrected themselves by refunding me my food cost which was good service but I should have gotten my order after I asked about it and not after a stranger asked about it for me because those stranger saw I was waiting for my food for a while Overall I think this is a good place to come back to and I plan to come again for another drag brunch, I'll be happy to give them another try for a higher rating next time if it gets better but for now I think it is fitting for my experience read more
Very impressed with the bowls and drinks here. We had two Top Out bowls, a coffee, and a fresh pressed juice. The bowls were absolutely beautiful, and so delicious. This would be a great place to work remote, as they had comfortable seating on the entire floor. It's also pet friendly. read more

Wanted to try something new in the New Year. I knew North Mass Boulder held first Friday events where people could check out their facility for a reduced price. Never had done indoor rock climbing before , so decided to head on over and check it out. Before my friend and I climbed , we decided we needed a little food in our bellies so we headed to their cafe. I was super impressed with their variety of coffees, smoothies, salads and other foods. I got the overnight oats and and iced chai latte. The overnight oats were delicious! We had noticed they had beer and ciders on tap so we decided we would reward ourselves afterwards with a drink. When we were done climbing , we headed back to the cafe. They had my very favorite Ash and Elm Cider, the Marigold Chai and we got chips and salsa. I would honestly come back here just for the food. Not sure if it's because I'm in my third trimester but my food cravings have been insistent and varied lately. Today it was for a smoothie bowl and juice. Now I've seen beautiful pics on Top Out Cafe's Instagram page and didn't realize how close to my workplace they are (spoiler alert, I'm coming back). The surrounding area is industrial so walking into the shared space of North Mass Boulder downstairs and Top Out Cafe upstairs, i was not expecting to see a colorful neat rocking climbing gym and a modern cafe. Looks like there are also office spaces and meeting rooms located here too. The employee who took my order was kind to answer my questions about their menu. I wish i could try their beers on tap and nitro brew but that'll have to be for another time. Once i ordered, i was given a number card and they brought my order out to me once readied. That pistachio smoothie bowl was fresh and totally hit the spot! The bowl it was served in felt really nice, grounding, and aesthetically pleasing, which i appreciate. The juice was also very good: smooth and well balanced. A reminder why i don't mind paying for other people to make me juices or smoothies because i can't seem to make them at home without them ending up yucky. Thank you! read more
This is such a cute cafe style place. A great menu from lattes, quick bite sandwiches, flavorful salads or just a small snack. I got the Dirtbag Sandwich. It's a grilled cheese & PBR beer. I got it without the beer, but the grilled cheese was very tasty! The Havarti on it was super creamy and delightful! It was very filling. I also got a beer from their different assortments on tap. It's a very chill environment and great place to work or to socialize. read more

Not only does is this spot located in the best gym in Indy, but they have delicious food and drinks too! I love stopping by the top out cafe after workouts for an açaí bowl or one of their salads! Plus they have all kinds of coffee, tea, and lemonade options! Oh and they have a bunch of local beers and kombucha on tap! read more

I checked out the Top Out Cafe ahead of a climb. Located on the upper level, it overlooks the majority of the gym. There's long tables that invite you to plug in if you have a computer, high top tables by the bar and even a couch in front of a large television. The cafe caters to lighter, healthier fare and even has beer on tap. I'm a sucker for a fancy grilled cheese - and I was 100% happy with the gourmet grilled cheese. The sandwich is the perfect size with fresh capicola, a srirachi aioli, and havarti cheese make an explosion of flavor in your mouth. The sandwich is served with a handful of sweet and spicy kettle chips. You can select from something on tap (HINT: if you plan on having alcohol, you won't be able to climb - so plan accordingly), a variety of canned La Croix, smoothies, coffee or tap water. read more
Located on the second floor of the newest gym to hit Indianapolis, North Mass Boulder, the Top Out Cafe is a hidden gem. It's the all-in-one spot. Lounge spot, working spot (including two conference rooms, WiFi and plenty of outlets), tap room and even a projector for movie nights. Also you do not have to be a member of the gym to access the cafe and taproom. If you're craving something good to eat or drink there are a plethora of options. Feeling healthy? They have got you covered with smoothie bowls, smoothies and juices all made to order. My favorite thing about their smoothies/smoothie bowls is that they are not overly sweet. So you're not going to get a sugar rush, just the hint of sweetness from the fruit inside like mother nature intended. Want to sip on a coffee with friends or catch up on some work? Grab your laptop or a friend and let's go. You can enjoy everything from a fresh drip to nitro cold brew and even some latte art on your cappuccino (peep the cami special I had). If you're in the mood for something a little heartier check out their large plates and savory options. My favorite is the impossible burger but the elevated grilled cheese is also amazing. On top of all of the goodness of the space and the food, the service is stellar as well. Their staff bring laid back positive vibes that make you feel right at home. I have been watching this place on social media for awhile. I'm so happy to finally try it! The sandwiches were bigger than both my husband and I expected. The pesto chicken panini was my favorite. It was warm and the chicken was juicy. The barista recommended a honey cinnamon latte and I think that might be my new favorite drink. The cafe is upstairs of North Mass Boulder. The space is huge! It has plenty of rock climbing walls, yoga room, and some gym equipment. My husband is already talking about coming back to try all the things to do along with other food offerings. read more

I'm so glad they don't make you check in before going upstairs to get food, shakes, or drinks. This place is dog friendly, there were several people with animals studying at the time I came. I got the dragonfruit bowl. They have a unique granola and can get acai bowls there are outside of the norm. The staff was helpful with choosing a bowl and describing what each of them are like. There is a large free parking lot available but it can be a bit of a walk to get there as the parking lost is often full. read more
Top Out Cafe in North Mass Boulder is truly one of a kind! Nowhere else can you sip a latte, munch on avocado toast or a smoothie bowl and watch people having a great time bouldering! The vibes are chill and the coffee is hot. What else can you ask for? It's good to know ahead of time that you need to fill out a waiver even if you are just visiting the cafe because the cafe is located inside the gym. I filled mine out online and when I got to the front desk they looked up my name and I was good to go. Easy! The variety of seating is astounding and the Wi-Fi is good, making this the perfect place to get some work done or hang out with friends! The parking lot was almost full on a Sunday afternoon but we managed to snag a spot no problem. I also want to say major props to NMB for the no tipping policy and gender inclusive restrooms! A business that cares about the community is one I will always support. I highly recommend the gourmet grilled cheese (spicy!), the banana nut butter smoothie bowl, and a honey cinnamon latte. Next time I'm grabbing one of the rotating seasonal lattes and a pair of climbing shoes to try my hand (and feet!) at climbing! read more
