The eggs Garden Benedic with Poached eggs on an english muffin topped with spiced garlic hollandaise, spinach, red onion, avocado, sliced tomato was a flavor bomb. I ordered a salad on the side with a lemon vinaigrette which was an absolute bomber combination. The patio was airy, bright and so inviting. Well gosh. I have lived here all my life, bank at Forum Credit Union and have dined in the area several times and can't believe today was my first time visiting this place. What I will say is it will NOT be my last. Tucked in the corner with plenty of parking, this place is the perfect spot for a breakfast/brunch with really good options even for those that may have dietary restrictions. I arrived around 8:15am, and there was just maybe two couples there, and one person that was working. I toll had a little work to do before my meeting started. There was plenty of seating, light easy listening music (the 80's) playing. Not loud so if you needed to take a call, you could. My server was efficient. She wasn't overly friendly, but she was certainly efficient. If you are a coffee drinker they have a ton of neat options to pick from. Northside Kitchenette's Southwest Chicken Salad is one of my favorite salads in Indianapolis. The avocado ranch dressing works perfectly to tie together the salad greens, chicken, corn, black beans, avocado, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. The crispy tortilla strips provide the perfect crunch. The interior of the restaurant is attractive but I prefer sitting outside under the tented patio when the weather allows. On a morning where I wanted to get out early and get the day started, I started the day off with NK. It has been 7 years or so since I've been here and the beauty is, is that I still craved it after all this time. I got in shortly after opening and was greeted by staff that was still getting some tables together for the day but was seating patrons accordingly. I was seated in the back with other families. The store was clean and bright light like an inside picnic. Ironically, the waitress was just as melancholy as the last waiter I had many years ago. However, she was helpful and tried to be personable. She checked on me regularly and accommodated my needs but I did hear the table next to me mention the wait staffs demeanor. The food, however, was still good. I still got the same thing, the kitchenette & it was still good LOL. Except the coffee. I got the iced vanilla coffee and it was superrr sweet, not tasting any coffee. They were serving pancakes w/ blueberry compote, which they normally don't, but I didn't want to try something new. Stopped by for lunch on a Monday. I'd been to dinner at the adjoining Northside Social (which was very good) a while ago, and knew this was the same group, so was looking forward to it. Was greeted and met my friend who was already seated. Our server was was attentive and pleasant. It got fairly busy and it looked like he was juggling a lot of tables. Several tempting items on the menu, and I was undecided between breakfast and lunch. My friend mentioned that they would bring me taster of soup, which he did, so I had a nice taste of the creamy mushroom soup. It was really good, hot, and lots of nice slices of mushrooms in it. Since I did get that taster, I opted to go "breakfast" for my meal so that I could try that, too. I got the eggs benedict. I told our server that I hadn't been there before, and since I didn't know the food, could I please have a side of extra sauce with mine. I made the mistake of not asking for my poached eggs to be cooked a little extra (normally that is something I would mention.) I think they were probably cooked "normal" but they were a little too gooey in some of the egg white parts for me. The bacon possibly could have used an extra minute or two as well, or maybe that was just softer from the eggs. But they were tasty, the hollandaise is a garlic spice that they do mention in the menu, so a nice twist on the regular recipe. My some homefries were a little overcooked/cool, but I am a sauce person so the ketchup and hollandaise fixed that. My friend had the half grilled cheese and tomatoes bisque. I didn't taste it but it looked good. One thing that is a huge pet peeve of mine also is an unannounced upcharge for extra sauce, observed when I got the bill. It's literally a couple tablespoons of extra sauce on an already not-inexpensive egg dish. I think it just should be part of the meal charge. However, I like sauce, so I would also pay more if I had to. But I think it's just courtesy of service to mention that before the fact. Of note too, there is a little parking lot so you don't have to find broad ripple street parking. So overall, no real problems but I would rate good vs amazing. #ReviewsByRL read more

Came here for brunch with some friends and I was NOT disappointed. Right off the bat, I am so happy this place has its own designated parking lot with enough parking spaces. Parking in Broad Ripple can be a pain sometimes and I was pleasantly surprised that they have their own parking lot. The minute I walked in, I couldn't help but take in the cute but cozy vibes. This place is a bit small but there is plenty of seating inside which I appreciate. We were quickly attended to and seated. Our waitress was so kind and attentive and even explained the menu to us. I was quickly reeled into ordering a pumpkin spiced coffee and it was absolutely delicious. It had just the right amount of pumpkin flavor without it being too overpowering. If you don't like over easy eggs, they will make them a different way for you! But the kitchenette was the perfect amount of all the ingredients, very cheesey!! My husband had the best burrito in town and said it was very delicious, he ate it all! We also ordered a warm cinnamon roll afterwards and it tastes very fresh, the dough was good and the frosting was not too much like it can be sometimes. A pitcher of mango mimosas, a cup of mushroom soup that comes with a slice of cheesy and garlicky crouton-like toast, the glazed salmon with squash, potatoes, poached eggs, avocado, and delicious sauces. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned and delicious. We ate inside. It is a comfortable diner with a steady Sunday brunch crowd. Outside tables are covered and comfortable in nice weather. Parking seemed a little tight, but there were a few spaces so no complaints there. Our server checked in often and offered suggestions. My daughter's coffee got left behind, but eventually came out. I couldn't decide between the French toast and the kitchenette sink so I got a half order of French toast and the kitchenette sink. The kitchenette sink was absolutely delicious. It's a lot of food but so good I couldn't stop eating it. The gravy is so flavorful. I loved the French toast the strawberries were a great addition. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and he really enjoyed them. Service was great and I would say they move very quickly it didn't take long for us to get our food. This is a hidden breakfast/brunch gem in broad ripple. It has a very casual warm ambiance and all the delicious food that goes with it. When I woke up this morning I knew I needed a bowl of all the things. Here's where the kitchenette sink comes in. A half order of biscuits and gravy with cubed potatoes, shredded cheddar, bacon bits and two over easy eggs. If you top this off with Sriracha you have a hangover cure of champions. You can add avocado or chorizo to your dish for an upcharge but I personally don't think either are needed to make this the perfect comfort food breakfast. A dreary March day calls for brunch! A friend recently recommended the Northside Kitchenette and had to try it! I've been to several other of the Northside restaurants but not this one. It's easy to miss In the little strip mall off of College. My friend recommended the chicken salad but the Kitchenette Sink was calling my name! This dish is large and flavorful, and had everything you'd want at brunch! Biscuits and gravy, eggs, cheese, bacon, and potatoes! The gravy is nicely spiced with pepper and the pork sausage has fennel. I do wish there were more potatoes to use up the remaining gravy with. I think they use Pillsbury Grand biscuits which there is no mistaking that flavor. We'll definitely be back!
