Our aunt and uncle who have lived here in broad Ripple a while took us here on Sunday and we absolutely loved it. It's in a sort of strip mall, so I was caught off guard when I walked in and it was this adorable restaurant that was packed. We were sat immediately with a party of six at 1:00 on a Sunday, which was so great. Their menu consisted of both breakfast and lunch options, including soft drinks, cocktails, coffee, etc. I had the turkey sandwich on this amazing whole wheat bread-wow! It comes with seasoned potatoes which were literally perfectly seasoned and just the right amount of crispness. The omelette was the surprise. I had an amazing brunch at Northside Kitchenette. It's awesome that they offer a lot of their menu items in half portions, because I always like a combo of savory and sweet if there's that option. Our waiter was incredibly helpful and provided expertise on some of the best dishes and cocktails on the menu. With that being said, if I'm not cooking breakfast at home I'm on the quest for a delicious substitute. I had not had the opportunity to try Northside until recently. I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. The service was top notch. It felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Met my bestie here for a brunch on a Sunday. We got there around noon and waited about 25 minutes to be seated. The place is small . They have a back patio area where we were seated. I'm definitely coming back to Northside Kitchenette! I didn't even have time to snap photos of the delicious food before eating, it was just too good to pause! I came to the restaurant for the first time with a bachelorette group, our boat plans had been cancelled due to rain and it was hard finding a restaurant during COVID that would accommodate a large group of gals. Luckily, there is outside seating at this venue and we broke our group of 12 into two small groups of 6. We ordered mimosas for the table--delish! I ordered the biscuits and gravy. It was so good! They have lots of parking which in Broad Ripple is a very good thing. Our server I think was Matt. My husband ordered a Cinnamon Roll and an Omelette with Bacon. Ham, Cheddar and mozzarella cheese. I got the Eggs Benedict. Both meals came with Bunch Potatoes. WOZERS the potatoes were very seasoned. The seasoning smelled like taco seasoning. My husband was super put off by the smell so we asked for a plate to move his other food on to. I asked what the seasoning was and I was told salt, pepper and paprika. I think the heavy spice was cumin maybe? Matt did tell us the potatoes were cooked to order and he could get an order without the seasoning. We declined the potato redo, the other food was enough without them. Husband really liked his omelette. It was filled with meat and cheese. I liked the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce had a slight spice , and the bacon instead of canadian hamkin was very nice. My eggs could have been poached a bit longer. We drove across town to eat here, and requested a table for four adults and a high chair outside. There were only three parties outside and 6-7 empty tables. The empty tables were two tops and they were insistent on not pushing two tables together for our group. This was also while they had two people sitting at a four top. When I asked about the two people at the four top, the host (and possibly manager) told me there was no one here when they sat down. Under that same logic, all of the two tops were empty but we couldn't be seated?? There's no difference between two two-tops and four guests being seated - one server, the same money spent.
