Dang, what a great brunch! Pleasant little spot (part of a group of restaurants, if not a chain, I'm given to understand) with wonderful service and delicious food at reasonable pricing. Not in love with the one-bathroom situation (there was a line visible in my line of sight during a decent period of our brunch) but we'd for-sure return on our next visit to the area.

Well gosh. I have lived here all my life, bank at Forum Credit Union and have dined in the area several times and can't believe today was my first time visiting this place. What I will say is it will NOT be my last. Tucked in the corner with plenty of parking, this place is the perfect spot for a breakfast/brunch with really good options even for those that may have dietary restrictions. I arrived around 8:15am, and there was just maybe two couples there, and one person that was working. I toll had a little work to do before my meeting started. There was plenty of seating, light easy listening music (the 80's) playing. Not loud so if you needed to take a call, you could. My server was efficient. She wasn't overly friendly, but she was certainly efficient. If you are a coffee drinker they have a ton of neat options to pick from. They also have a bar, so if I weren't working I probably would have added a little something to my coffee. I will be back, bringing my family and friends!

Five years later and I still consider Northside Kitchenette one of my favorite brunch spots in Indy! My go-to order is the blood orange margarita, cinnamon roll and a half order of biscuits and gravy. Everything is so fresh and the service is always top notch. Sometimes parking can be difficult, depending on the time of day. Highly recommend!

    Breakfast sandwich and home fries

Breakfast sandwich was 5 stars. Tasted great, egg was perfectly cooked and bacon was crispy as ordered. Home fries were fine. Didn't knock my socks off, an after taste of some spice that just overpowered things a bit. Service was friendly and it's a cute little place. It's a little loud when filled with people but not too loud to have a conversation. Will be back.

Northside Kitchenette is me and my husband favorite breakfast place on the north side of Indy. Even beats the places in Carmel! The food is so amazing and their pumpkin spice coffee always is so exciting to get during fall time. The service is always top tier here and the atmosphere is so homey and clean. They have the best eggs Benedict I ever have had!

Northside Kitchenette's Southwest Chicken Salad is one of my favorite salads in Indianapolis. The avocado ranch dressing works perfectly to tie together the salad greens, chicken, corn, black beans, avocado, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. The crispy tortilla strips provide the perfect crunch. The interior of the restaurant is attractive but I prefer sitting outside under the tented patio when the weather allows. Even though it looks out on a parking lot, I find I am happy sitting there with my ice tea and Southwest Chicken Salad.

Had such a great brunch at Northside Kitchenette yesterday. We were greeted with smiles and seated within minutes of arriving. I ordered the Kitchenette Sink, and it truly lives up to its name--loaded with a soft buttery biscuit at the bottom, hearty potatoes, bacon crumbles, savory gravy, melted cheese, and fluffy eggs ( I ordered my eggs scrambled but you can have them however you'd like) all in one comforting dish. Every bite was warm and satisfying. And the coffee drink ,vanilla coffee ,topped with whipped cream was the perfect sweet finish. Cozy vibe, great food, great service and definitely a spot worth coming back to!

On a morning where I wanted to get out early and get the day started, I started the day off with NK. It has been 7 years or so since I've been here and the beauty is, is that I still craved it after all this time. I got in shortly after opening and was greeted by staff that was still getting some tables together for the day but was seating patrons accordingly. I was seated in the back with other families. The store was clean and bright light like an inside picnic. Ironically, the waitress was just as melancholy as the last waiter I had many years ago. However, she was helpful and tried to be personable. She checked on me regularly and accommodated my needs but I did hear the table next to me mention the wait staffs demeanor. The food, however, was still good. I still got the same thing, the kitchenette & it was still good LOL. Except the coffee. I got the iced vanilla coffee and it was superrr sweet, not tasting any coffee. They were serving pancakes w/ blueberry compote, which they normally don't, but I didn't want to try something new. I'm glad I tried them again, go try them for yourself!

This was my first time here for brunch. Overall the place is super cute, was well staffed and the food was pretty good! The food came out pretty fast and we were seated almost immediately. Will definitely have to come back!

This place was amazing. We went for brunch this past weekend. The food was to die for. Delicious omelets, well seasoned home fries and perfect raspberry mimosas. I topped my brunch off with their lemon berry cheesecake and it was the perfect addition. The service was very friendly and prompt and the ambiance was cute, quaint and homey. Definitely check this spot out for a nice brunch at a good price in Indianapolis!

Northside Kitchenette is brought to you by the same owners of Delicia and Northside Social, two Broad Ripple staples! Like its sister restaurants, Northside Kitchenette feels high-end but approachable, with locally sourced ingredients and a well developed menu. I especially love their outdoor patio seating in the summer, complete with shaded spots and sunny spots to fit whatever you're looking for. I tried the Morning Kicker Omelette, which was delicious and generously portioned, but I subbed the horseradish sour cream for a normal side of sour cream due to taste preferences. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and seasoned without being overly complicated. Others at the table ordered the Brioche French Toast and Kitchen"ette" Sink and everyone seemed to enjoy their respective meals! They do have a lunch menu with sandwiches and salads alongside the all-day brunch options if that fits your tastes better. Overall, I feel that their menu is priced slightly high for the type of food, but it also stands out in quality from nearby competitors so I will absolutely return based on my positive dining experiences.

The response felt dismissive, and there was no effort to see if another option was available or to provide a more customer-focused explanation. Same great staff, same cool space, same open kitchen where a party of one like me can grab a counter seat and watch the chefs do their thing. I've honestly always enjoyed that part of the experience. Today I had the avocado toast with feta and an egg on top, and it totally hit the spot. Earlier this week I tried one of the newer menu items -- fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy, plus a sample of jalapeño cornbread and Asian slaw. Incredible comfort food. And as someone who normally isn't much of a slaw person, I was surprised by how much I loved it. They also tried to tempt me with the roast beef special, which honestly looked great, but at 10:30 in the morning I just couldn't fully commit to roast beef yet. Maybe next time. The new name is a nice tribute to the owner's mother, Arleen, but thankfully it still feels like the Milktooth so many of us have come to enjoy over the years. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been in awhile.

I will cut some slack on the service, however - I arrives after what seems to have been a very atypical rush of Journey fans who inundated the place before heading to Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The staff seemed a bit rundown and slap happy - not really attentive to the bar where I sat. I waited a bit long before I was greeted with a menu, waited awhile with an empty glass, waited with my food pushed away before it was cleared. No one asked if everything was okay even though most of my food was untouched. The food... my salad (house greens) was a great little salad! I say this despite finding a hair on the plate when I was about 2/3 through. My mussels and fries were not great. The fries were mid - they tasted kind of overdone or as if the oil were old. The mussels were actively bad. The portion (an app) was pretty small. There was hardly any broth/wine and they weren't piping hot. Also, they were actually not tasty and the texture was rubbery. They remained in front of me, uncleared, even after I closed my tab. They did not smell good. I don't anticipate being sick but I do anticipate being hungry.

We ordered the following: Burrata with Amelia's bread as an appetizer which was delicious. Gem Salad - This was amazing and I could eat it every day of the week. Stacci house made pasta - This was a big hit and I would order this every time. Hanger Steak - My husband, aka the picky eater, loved it. I didn't try it, but everyone seemed to like it. Chicken with a few dumplings - We all loved this. Three desserts to share: a cheesecake with fruit on top, one a bread pudding and a chocolate crisp. I ordered a delicious Monsoon Season cocktail with song cai vietnamese gin, cocchi americano, st. george thai basil eau de vie, elderflower, lemon and basil oil. My son and I also ordered glasses of Port after dinner. The service was great and I loved that they were playing really good rock music like Soundgarden and others. There are lots of antique typewriters above the bar and a cool print of Kurt Vonnegut by the bathrooms. The catfish seemed to have a beer-battered coating that felt a little soft and held onto some extra moisture instead of having that classic light crunch.
