It's a small spot with good food and great energy! The staff was super engaging and the service was quick, even with most of the tables full. My only critique is compared to what I'm used to, I did find the meat portion a little underwhelming. And as for the fried bananas, they were a unique touch! Small spot downtown. Inside is coz and a little cramped but not claustrophobic. Service was quick and the food was delicious and hoy though I will say I ordered beef pad thai and my food was 95% noodles. Hadn't been here in a while and I must say that unfortunately the atmosphere has suffered massively. Don't get me wrong, the food is still absolutely delicious, which is why I am still giving it 4 stars. First you need to find yourself a menu. Then you have to go up to the counter and order and pay and tip in advance, which I hate. I base my tips on your service and at this point you really haven't done anything for me. Do I tip big and hope you live up to it? Or do I tip average and you base the service on my tip? But anyway, after you order and pay, you have the pleasure of getting your silverware and if you need any sauce or such from a little cart near the counter. Then however, you are served your food at the table and you have table service from then on. Go figure. Even received refills on water without asking. So come here for the food, it is great. This is the cutest place. The restaurant is on the smaller side. You walk through the restaurant to order at the back and they give you a small pail with an order number and your utensils. Your order is brought out to your table. It was pretty full when we got there. We took a table in the window surrounded by plants. It felt like we had a private booth. The food came out quickly. The menu was expansive and I had a hard time choosing as there were so many enticing dishes (plus it smelled great inside). I decided on a Thai tea and the green curry with chicken. The curry dish came with a side of rice. My food came out pretty quickly and the food was very tasty! The Thai tea was also good and what you would typically expect. It's been several years since I've been here, but the food is still good. They have good lunch specials and the food comes out fast. The main difference from the last time I was here is that there is no table service. You order and pay from the counter upfront now and they give you your drink and a little plastic basket that holds your silverware and also serves as your number. This is a cool spot for some great casual Thai food. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you, but don't be mistaken - the food here is really great. Everyone who works here was super friendly and helpful and came by my table to check on me and give me a refill, which I much needed since the food can get pretty spicy. Each time I have ordered, it has been excellent. I usually get the drunken noodles and they never disappoint. You can ask for no spice, medium, hot or even Thai hot which is their highest level of spicy. This restaurant is not fancy or big but tends to be pretty popular and can get pretty crowded. Nonetheless you won't be disappointed in their portion size for the price and quality of food. If you sign up for their online rewards you get a $5 reward and can earn 5% on $20 min purchases. I don't leave reviews often, but I was so disappointed by this meal. I ordered the Thai eggplant, and there were no solid pieces of eggplant in the dish. The eggplant center was cut out entirely, leaving me with just the skin. Clearly they were trying to use eggplant that had gone bad and cutting away the bad part. Came here prior to seeing the Indianapolis symphony. The inside isn't the nicest and of my friend hadn't expressed how great this place was I may have been leery to stay. But you order at the counter, they'll grab your drinks and you can have a seat. You can stay in and eat or take out. I got the green curry....and Omgosh...IT WAS AMAZING! Thai Paradise also had that same special, but the egg roll (pictured) and the soup were smaller than any of the other places I had been too. So that was a slight disappointment. I have a love of drunken noodles and the one here had more veggies than normal; not bad, I wish there were more wide noodles. I was disappointed that they had no spring/salad rolls even they had just opened for lunch. I wanted the som tum salad, glass noodle salad and larb, but was told none of the entrees in that section were available. The idea is to order and pay first then find a seat. The one cashier was also a server and there is no "waitress" service once seated. There was one other lady from the back that helped bring food to the tables. No refills on water, drinks, or anyone to take away duty plates once the food is brought. More waitstaff would be better. read more

My mouth is numb and I'm typing this out. I ordered a pad Thai w/ chicken for take out during lunch. Apparently the lunch special must be for dine in only since it didn't come with the soup or roll. The flavors were underwhelming. I ordered it with the least amount of spice possible and it arrived drenched in red pepper flakes. I quickly found that there wasn't much chicken in the pad Thai. Also, since when is it not standard to have some veggies in Pad Thai? Apparently it costs extra here. Portion is large but lacks in substance. Oh well, I won't cry over this. read more
