    Beef pad thai
    Maureen B.

Small spot downtown. Inside is coz and a little cramped but not claustrophobic. Service was quick and the food was delicious and hoy though I will say I ordered beef pad thai and my food was 95% noodles. I didn't expect the dish to be mostly meat but the beef in the noodles was not a portion or half of one.

Hadn't been here in a while and I must say that unfortunately the atmosphere has suffered massively. Don't get me wrong, the food is still absolutely delicious, which is why I am still giving it 4 stars. First you need to find yourself a menu. Then you have to go up to the counter and order and pay and tip in advance, which I hate. I base my tips on your service and at this point you really haven't done anything for me. Do I tip big and hope you live up to it? Or do I tip average and you base the service on my tip? But anyway, after you order and pay, you have the pleasure of getting your silverware and if you need any sauce or such from a little cart near the counter. Then however, you are served your food at the table and you have table service from then on. Go figure. Even received refills on water without asking. So come here for the food, it is great. Forget the rest.

    Thai Tea

They gave me Thai leftovers preserved in salt and old rice from the day before but good curry for friend and Thai tea but dont go there at 12 noon on a Sat or you may get leftovers from the fridge and a few pieces of soggy soft broccoli and salty processed beef slices in a brown sauce. Definitely overpriced for a lunch. Over $50 for 2 meals and 2 drinks. No thanks but kind petite Thai worker.

Quiet spot for a quick dinner post marathon day

Nice little Thai dive restaurant I went "hot" which was more medium for me, yet delicious. I'm not ready for "Thai Hot" quite yet Great curry, small area, take out, door dash freindly I sat behind a little blind toward the door, felt cozy

Food was good. But the quantity was way too low. The prices are on the higher side, but that is to be expected in a city. The drunken noodles were good, but also way too little. The lady taking orders on the phone was way too hard to understand, very very thick Indian accent.

It's been several years since I've been here, but the food is still good. They have good lunch specials and the food comes out fast. The main difference from the last time I was here is that there is no table service. You order and pay from the counter upfront now and they give you your drink and a little plastic basket that holds your silverware and also serves as your number. You seat yourself and they bring your food out to your table.

This is a cool spot for some great casual Thai food. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you, but don't be mistaken - the food here is really great. Everyone who works here was super friendly and helpful and came by my table to check on me and give me a refill, which I much needed since the food can get pretty spicy. I ordered the red curry with a medium spice levels and it was exactly what I was hoping for. Super flavorful and the spice poking me in all the right ways. Will definitely come back to try some other dishes!

Came to Thai paradise on a girls night and really liked it! -great location: right off the monument circle. Easy walking distance to other fun spots around downtown. -alcohol is served at Pad Thai. I ordered a margarita and my friend had a Rose. -portion sizes are huge and a great price. I paid $14 for my pad Thai, $7 for the rangoons, and $5 for the margarita. -I'm would have liked more sauce on my noodles but taste and spice levels were good! It's a small restaurant but the staff is great at checking in on you. I will definitely come back!

    Bad eggplant

I don't leave reviews often, but I was so disappointed by this meal. I ordered the Thai eggplant, and there were no solid pieces of eggplant in the dish. The eggplant center was cut out entirely, leaving me with just the skin. Clearly they were trying to use eggplant that had gone bad and cutting away the bad part. I chose this meal specifically for the eggplant and it was mainly carrots. 0/10 will not order from this restaurant again

Paradise Noodles With egg roll lunch special

Came to this place for lunch and was immediately impressed with the cute decorations. The menus are up front and then you go up to a counter in the back to order. They give you a bowl with utensils and an order number on it. Lunch came with a small bowl of lemongrass soup and an egg roll (both vegetarian). The food itself was extremely mediocre. The vegetables were slightly underdone and I asked for the dish hot spice wise. The food didn't have that punch of flavor that I look for with Thai food and was overall somewhat bland. However service was fine, portions were a good size and I thought the napkin roses on the straws were a nice touch.

    Pad See Ew
    Selena L.

Ok I was lowkey considering giving this place 4 stars just for being a source of edible food in the Midwest, but decided not to lower my standards LOL. Place was pretty small, and you order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. I went with the pad see ew. Flavor was decent, but as you can see in the photo, the noodles were rather clumped together, and there were some large, undercooked pieces of vegetable.

I decided to try Baan Thai Bistro after reading a few reviews, and it turned out to be a great decision. I called in an order for carry out. When I saw the quaint interior I wished that I had time to dine in. The building is beautiful, inside and out. The unique decor was practically beckoning me to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal. I ordered spring rolls and drunken noodles with tofu. The spring rolls were light and crispy. I would recommend ordering a few. Or more than a few. My drunken noodles were excellent. I ordered mild-to medium spice, and the spice level was perfect. The serving size was generous. Will have leftovers for dinner, yay! Service was very pleasant. Ordering was efficient. I called in my order and received a text when my order was ready. I'll definitely return, and would enjoy dining in next time. Thanks to Yelpers for the great reviews that brought me here.

They have a great lunch special that's reasonably priced, and my mom is more on the picky side, if she likes something she sticks with it. The ambiance here is relaxed, it's a small house turned into a restaurant. Service was good at this visit. My mom ordered her usual pork belly ramen with no spice (she is spice naive) and I tried something new here...drunken noodles with steak at level 3 heat (it goes 1-5 with 5 being the hottest). The lunch special comes with soup and a spring roll. This time I made sure to check my soup, and thankfully it was all clear and tasted good. The soup is too spicy for my mom so she doesn't eat it. The spring roll with dipping sauce was appetizing. Our food came quickly after, and everything came out fresh. My mom didn't have any issues with her ramen. For a lunch special, the drunken noodles is a decent portion. The temperature was hot and the spice level was pretty spicy, but I liked it. The steak option went really well with the drunken noodles too, very flavorful. I wasn't able to finish it, asked for a to go container, and our server supplied. We both enjoyed hanging out and got very full.

I recently tried their chicken and beef pad Thai, and again amazing! They have a really good coconut chicken soup as well if you're not a seafood lover, that I would recommend. And everything is so reasonably priced. If you're going for the first time, maybe go during their lunch hours, for you to try some items at a smaller portion and a slightly smaller price. But you can get a feel for it before you order dinner, at a slightly higher price. Still reasonable just slightly higher. I've not had an opportunity to dine in- I usually order to-go.
