We met friends to enjoy an early dinner of Thai food. We had eaten here before but the name of the restaurant used to be Thai Charm. We found that it was run by the same group of people as before. We got a friendly welcome back greeting and were seated right away. We shared spring rolls, fried tofu, and curry puffs. My favorite was the hot crispy spring rolls. I had a small bowl of tom yum soup that was hot, fresh and yummy. My entree was pad cashew nut stir fry. It was a large portion and so fresh.

Really nice for a nice price! Overall it is a cheaper Thai place but for the price it's fair quality of food. We got the Carb Rangoon those were really tasty, the sauce was very sweet and was really good! The green curry was very nicely spiced and was a nice portion. The chicken fried rice was also flavorful! The service is quick and the ladies are super nice! Very attentive and are willing to help you if needed! Very clean restaurant, fast service, and overall cute for being a small place!

Absolutely delicious Thai food here made with love! We ordered the pad see ew with tofu, basil fried rice with chicken, and amazing grilled salmon. Each dish was fantastic! The spice level of medium to medium hot was perfect for us. As a treat we got the fresh mango w sticky rice which was an amazing treat! Service was gracious and efficient. This was honestly the best meal I've had while charging my car nearby. So good, I am planning a return trip to come here again!

My 5 Takeaways (in under 60 seconds) Location: Conveniently located in a strip mall off Southport Rd. Parking can be limited, but there are extra parking spaces nearby.   Vibe: Quaint, well laid out, and a good atmosphere.   Service: Great customer service. Our waiter checked on us often, kept our drinks full, and went the extra mile.   Food: HUGE portions. Full of flavor and seasoning. Well prepared and exactly what I was expecting.   Quick Tip: Try the Spring Rolls - the Sweet Chili Sauce is mouthwatering!

Food was all so good, especially the appetizers. I could have just ordered off the appetizer menu.

Pictures don't do it justice. The Rangoon's are thin, crispy and fresh. The pad Thai is a huge portion, tastes great, good portion of veg to protein. If you went here for the service alone you would be satisfied. Super friendly, fast and fresh.

I decided to try Baan Thai Bistro after reading a few reviews, and it turned out to be a great decision. I called in an order for carry out. When I saw the quaint interior I wished that I had time to dine in. The building is beautiful, inside and out. The unique decor was practically beckoning me to sit down and enjoy a relaxing meal. I ordered spring rolls and drunken noodles with tofu. The spring rolls were light and crispy. I would recommend ordering a few. Or more than a few. My drunken noodles were excellent. I ordered mild-to medium spice, and the spice level was perfect. The serving size was generous. Will have leftovers for dinner, yay! Service was very pleasant. Ordering was efficient. I called in my order and received a text when my order was ready. I'll definitely return, and would enjoy dining in next time. Thanks to Yelpers for the great reviews that brought me here.

They have a great lunch special that's reasonably priced, and my mom is more on the picky side, if she likes something she sticks with it. The ambiance here is relaxed, it's a small house turned into a restaurant. Service was good at this visit. My mom ordered her usual pork belly ramen with no spice (she is spice naive) and I tried something new here...drunken noodles with steak at level 3 heat (it goes 1-5 with 5 being the hottest). The lunch special comes with soup and a spring roll. This time I made sure to check my soup, and thankfully it was all clear and tasted good. The soup is too spicy for my mom so she doesn't eat it. The spring roll with dipping sauce was appetizing. Our food came quickly after, and everything came out fresh. My mom didn't have any issues with her ramen. For a lunch special, the drunken noodles is a decent portion. The temperature was hot and the spice level was pretty spicy, but I liked it. The steak option went really well with the drunken noodles too, very flavorful. I wasn't able to finish it, asked for a to go container, and our server supplied. We both enjoyed hanging out and got very full.

It was excellent combination with the rice it came with. The pad kee mao was sub par. Flavor was weak and protein pieces were small. Nonetheless, it sufficed for our lunch needs. Whenever I'm under the weather, I like a nice warm soup (like who doesn't, right?!) I found out about Thai coconut soup from another place at 56th street, but was so thrilled to find Thai Recipes Restaurant on the south side of the city. And their soup is amazing. I recently tried their chicken and beef pad Thai, and again amazing! They have a really good coconut chicken soup as well if you're not a seafood lover, that I would recommend. And everything is so reasonably priced. If you're going for the first time, maybe go during their lunch hours, for you to try some items at a smaller portion and a slightly smaller price. But you can get a feel for it before you order dinner, at a slightly higher price. Still reasonable just slightly higher. I've not had an opportunity to dine in- I usually order to-go. But it's a nice, clean and calm atmosphere when I do go inside. So if you love, delicious Thai food check it out and let me know what you think !

We were very sad to see it empty when the shops all around where hopping. We were met by staff right away and told to sit anywhere we liked, it is a great space with some bug tables for large parties. We had water in front of us before we even scanned the menu which is always so nice. The restaurant really is beautiful inside with umbrellas hanging from ceiling and beautiful art work on the walls. We had the jalapeño bomb as appetizer and it was amazing, seriously a perfect bite. I like the Pad Kee Moa at most places so I went for it. I wasn't sure how spicy to get it so I went medium, their medium is a mild at most places. It was still delicious and a huge serving. My husband has the cashew nut , he went with Hot and chicken. We definitely know we want spicier next time. This really is a beautiful spot with a parking lot of its own, and I hope to see it full next time we pop in.
