Earlier today, I purchased a bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and was appalled to find that the egg and cheese were covered in visible green and dark mold. I immediately contacted the store manager, Katina, to report the issue. While I was refunded for the order, I was disappointed by the lack of urgency and accountability in her response. She offered a half-hearted apology and asked that I return the sandwich--which I did--but upon doing so, she refused to open the bag or inspect the food herself. As someone responsible for food safety and customer well-being, I expected a more serious response and swift corrective action. This lack of engagement raises significant health and safety concerns. No chocolate chips?? I live for chocolate chips, and this Panera has taken the life out of me. Again though, not as bad as my friend has it. Made an online order for pickup. I ordered a Fromage croissant toast sandwich with steak strips added. What I received was missing most of the ingredients. It had a small dab of sauce or cheese in the middle with the steak but no arugula, no caramelized onions, not sure what cheese or sauce was actually on it but it was clear it wasn't all what was supposed to be on it. Another sandwich in the order had onions when we had asked for no onions. Decided to give this location a try despite bad reviews because it was close, I can now see why the reviews are bad. Worst Panera in Indianapolis. 9:30 am no coffee. When it came out, cup filled grounds. Staff reported filter issues due to not having "normal" filters. Earlier this week no coffee due to no filters. I chose the "Order From My Table" option which prompted you to enter your Table #. T his helps them locate you when they bring out your food. They still confirm that you are receiving the correct order by checking your last name which is automatically added to the ticket by the app. My half Cuban sandwich was pretty good. The worst Panera I have ever ate at, definitely would not go back. I ordered an bacon, over easy egg, cheese on a brioche bun and my son in law had the same but with sausage instead of bacon, we it was done but we didn't know it, so because it was taking so long I went up and it was setting there, then we get back to the table and looked at what was served, was a really thin piece of dried up egg, charcoal bacon with a dried up piece of cheese, at least he was able to eat his sausage, I just wrapped mine and trashed it, 34 bucks later we got on the road. There are NO bathrooms! They are under construction and they tell you to go upstairs where those bathrooms are CLOSED as well! This specific location is usually busy, so if you're in the area and it's towards the end of the day, I'd look elsewhere as they usually run out of stuff and don't remake anything if it's near the end of the day. I don't come here often, but do if I have a coupon or discount of some sort. The service has been mostly great, with a few exceptions here and there. If they do run out of stuff, be sure to ask them for alternatives and they'll usually give it to you at no cost. read more

Really really bad managing and a lack of preparation. Families have been waiting over an hour for food. One family has been waiting so long they had ordered breakfast around 1030am and it was 12pm and still didn't get their food, they got their food at 1220pm. Panera wasn't prepared food or staffing wise for the amount of people from the race and volleyball tournament, and this isn't unusual as Indy holds numerous volleyball tournaments. The cashiers were still allowing people to come in and order even though folks food had not been prepared and they were waiting over an hour. We ordered at 11am. So many families were getting refunds, there was confusion oh who was still here, we just had to go up and tell them what we ordered so they could make it. It wasn't about everyone coming in at once. It was about a lack of preparation by management. Period. We should all be getting refunds for our food. read more

3 reasons why Panera bread should give me my money back and hire new staff at this location and fire everyone currently working there. Here for a work trip, not feeling well and working long hours. Panera bread I thought would be an easy/ healthy choice for dinner. 1. I have allergies... which is normal. I'm not the only one. I walk up to order but can't see any Ingredients and there is no paper menu or anything for me to look at. I order what I thought wouldn't have my food allergies and ask the guy taking my order to note my allergies to be safe. He didn't seem to understand what a food allergy was because he was looking at me cluelessly. Then the guy behind me walks up to order and asks the guy taking order "what's wrong" while I am standing right there the kid responds "too many food allergies, it's messing up my day." Okay at this point I was upset, feeling pretty shitty that he would put someone down for something they can't control and furthermore say something so rude in front of me. However I let it go. 2. The next day I obviously don't wanna go in and order so after I go through the f*ckn hassle of downloading the app. I order for pick up and my boyfriend went in to get it. We get back to the hotel room and what I ordered is not even in the bag! They forgot my onion soup and the sandwich I ordered was literally two slices of bread. They completely forgot to put sauce, cheese, onions or steak. So naturally I try calling - no answer. I try calling again the phone hangs up. I try going on their app to cancel or get help with my order but no such luck. 3. Panera bread you stole my money and provided no way for me to get it back. I couldn't even go back to the restaurant because they were closed by the time I got there. I'm a fan of Panera. Fresh, clean food. Last week I used them at the office to cater breakfast, and today we had the best lunch at the one downtown in "Claypool Court" (am I showing my age with that reference?) I had the pick two with Broccoli Cheddar soup and the Barbecue Chicken salad. I was just very pleased with how quickly my order was completed, especially at lunch hour downtown; and the food was fresh and delicious. Oh, the carrot cake muffin or cupcake with icing was so good and a great fall flavor. I don't think anyone can go wrong no matter what bakery treat you get. I like using them for catering at the office because I usually don't have to worry. Their pricing is average for what they provide, so I don't get yelled at for spending too much. They are timely, so I don't get yelled at for not having breakfast or lunch on time. They are efficient at coming in and setting up so I don't get yelled at for interrupting meetings. I usually do order from my table when I'm on my lunch break to cut the time since I work retail atm, and they're pretty good about getting my food to me minutes later. Mostly I like this Panera Bread because they have these kiosks where you can order your food without ever having to interact with another human being. What a time to be alive. The future is now, people! And the future smells like bread and total reclusion. Actually, people do bring you your food when it's ready, I found out.
