This was my first time trying CoreLife. If I'm being transparent, I never thought CoreLife was an actual sit down takeout restaurant. I personally thought it was more of a healthy food store so I was a little bit reluctant to go inside but a friend and I met up and went for dinner. I arrived and was greeted by Da'Shawn who was behind the counter and he had great energy (along with his fellow coworkers) and was very helpful when choosing my ingredients for my build-your-own-bowl. I ended up doing a mixture of rice/spring mix lettuce for the base, chicken, tomato's, sweet potatoes, broccoli and a hint of blue cheese. I topped it off with a drizzle of their Thai vinaigrette. The space looked amazing and I could tell the food was fresh and a new take on a 'fast food' option. There was only one staff member working for both walk in and door dash type orders, so I waited for about 10 minutes but realized it would take considerably longer for her to get to me. She was working effectively and quickly but with only one person it was simply an issue of not being able to be in more than one place at a time. I'll go back but I do hope management makes some changes so that they have at least two people during a lunch hour. But food looked great! read more

I went with the Shroomami: It's packed with organic wild rice, shredded kale, raw beets, cucumbers, and basil. The warm portobello mix and roasted sesame tofu provide such a satisfying, meaty texture. What really ties it all together is the miso sesame ginger dressing. The spicy sunflower seeds give it the perfect crunch in every bite. I ordered an extra dressing because the kale is so dense. CoreLife Eatery provides a refreshing offering to the health food scene. I travel a lot for work and it's hard to find options that are healthy and tasty on a consistent basis. I built my own bowl filled with fresh veggies and buffalo chicken (double protein). The sweet potatoes were my favorite and had a great flavor. The mango smoothie was good as well. Great restaurant for those focused on healthy eating and appreciating blue zone cuisine. Their menu has many predefined wraps and bowls but you can also build your own custom bowl which is what I did. The price for a large bowl was $11-12 which isn't bad. All the ingredients tasted fresh and well done, and it took less than a 5 mins for my order to be ready. After trying sweetgreen and BIBIBOP I would put this restaurant above those in terms of quality. Hope they open more locations around Indy soon! read more

I discovered core life back in college in West Lafayette before sweetgreen (also not comparable but similar concept) came to Indiana & I have been a fan ever since! The location off 82nd is always clean and the staff is friendly/patient. I always say I'm going to try something different but the tuna poke bowl and the sriracha ginger salad have me in a chokehold. You can add 1 ingredient to your bowl/plate for free and you can sub rice for greens if you want! I have dietary limitations and so I love that you can create your own bowl from healthy selections. I can choose only the foods I know I can eat without getting a reaction and leaving the ones that are problematic without feeling that I'm missing out. I appreciate when they do list organic selections (like their Napa cabbage the other day at the 82nd St location). But I wish they carried more organic ingredients. It's definitely one of the healthiest options out there, which is why I felt good about getting my young adult son a gift certificate there for the holidays. Earlier I touched upon the food being yummy...well, it is and my go to is the pick 2 ... a regular sized bowl of the bbq chicken...comes with all the goodies...told rice, chicken, corn, cheese, jicama and bbq sauce...topped with crunchy tortilla strips...oh so good! I have nothing but good things to say about core life eatery! It is always so good and so fresh. Their aesthetic is so vibrant when you walk into the restaurant. It almost is like a chipotle style way to order. Therefore you can kind of scope out what you want. I got a bowl filled with quinoa, arugula, spicy broccoli, siracha sprouts, chicken, corn, and much more. Their jalapeño lime dressing is too die for. Perfect amount of spice and lime flavor. I also also get the chicken bone broth to sip on and it's perfection. It's a must when you're feeling under the weather or just want to warm up! I've also gotten the buffalo chicken tacos and OH MY WORD, insane! I don't have a picture because i literally inhaled it in two seconds. They put it on a pita taco and it has changed my life forever. I ordered the kids power plate for $5.95 which included grilled chicken, pickled cabbage, purple rice (which staff said it is Asian - yet I have never heard of it being Asian), corn, and mandarin oranges. Stopped in last night for dinner at CoreLife Eatery. Was looking for something different to try and this fit the bill. Their mission is to serve clean, healthy meals. We reviewed the menu and I chose the Spicy Thai Chicken & Rice Noodles. My mom chose the Broccoli Cheddar soup. The noodle dish had spicy thai antibiotic-free chicken, spicy thai rice noodles, napa cabbage, sesame sriracha sprouts, scallions, peppers, cilantro, and thai chili sauce. All along the way they made sure I wanted the ingredients they were adding. This was a pretty spicy dish and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The noodles were cooked al dente with just the right bite and I thought the napa cabbage gave it a bit of freshness. If you like a little heat I recommend this dish! There was also so much to eat that I had enough to take home. They had different types of lemonades th hat I indulged in but found I liked the beet lemonade the best. read more

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the state of how this Corelife has gone downhill. Ever since New management has taken place, I've never seen such a more disgusting establishment. The way things don't get cleaned. The way I see a lot of cross contamination in the times that I've been in there and seen the way the new manager has moved when it comes to the line and how she runs grill has made me want to walk out when my food has been prepared, there has numerous times that I've noticed since she's been there that they have been out of proteins (chicken especially) it's very disheartening. Also the way the new GM looks as if she high and off some type of drug is concerning. She looks as if she doesn't want to be there. In the most recent times that I have been there she was never really up front and when she was, chaos is all I've seen and it seems as if she's not there at all to really lead and support/help her staff because all I see is stress on their faces to push out great food and I even seen a crew member crying on the line while she was still barking orders at her to the point I stepped in and asked was she okay because the manager that was there didn't seem to care that she was severely overwhelmed due to the lack of support. This is NOT how I've seen this Corelife be ran in the years I've been coming for lunch/dinner and I truly feel like with this new management she's going to run this establishment right into the ground and that would be very unfortunate being this is the only location in Indianapolis. I was excited to try this place because I needed a healthy lunch since I left the one I packed at home. It's hard finding places nearby that are better for you than the fast food that's on every other corner. I love the concept. Options for grain bowls, broth bowls, power plates, salads - those were great to see. I opted to get a grain bowl because it looked good. I was excited to try my selection (Spicy Thai Chicken and Rice Noodles) and when I did I was quite underwhelmed. There was some spice to the dish but the flavor wasn't there. They toss the chicken in a sauce but it was too much. It honestly was bland. I could've taken a bottle of sriracha to the thing. Needless to say, I threw it out. This place isn't cheap, either. I ordered the standard size and spent about $10 with no drink. Like I said, I like the concept but when you have a market you're trying to sell to you have to be on point. A wonderful lunch for a day of shopping! CoreLife Eatery has so many options for fresh, healthy bowls made to your liking. We got the Steak Bacon and Blue and the Fire Tuna Poke. Very delicious and the staff was very helpful for our first visit. The inside has booths, tables, and dim lighting for a calm experience. Husband and I were extremely happy to realize there was a Core Life at our bathroom break on our road trip. We have had Core Life many times and have always been blown away. The flavor. The cleanliness. The value. The freshness. This time, I got the Greek Chicken & Quinoa bowl. OMGGGG. It's just to delicious to describe. And it's so nice to eat a big, filling meal that won't leave me feeling gross. The falafels are so flavorful. And the dressings are out of this world. I upgraded to a "pick 2" and got the tomato basil soup. It's kind of like a thinner pasta sauce-- don't let that turn you off to it though. I promise it's really good. I did the Korean pulled pork bowl with spicy sprouts (which I didn't even know were a thing and were delicious!). I was surprised that most of it was cold as I was thinking it would be more a heated entree - similar to a stir fry however it was surprisingly still delicious! We also got a couple sides- the sweat potato bites which were omg amazing! And gluten free Mac and cheese which you wouldn't even know was gluten free if you weren't told. As for drinks- you get a cup and help yourself to many different healthy lemonades. I got the hibiscus. If you'd like a refill you get a new cup for safety. I didn't have the dressing that goes with the Spicy Chicken bowl because I'm allergic to tree nuts so I went with the Lime Cilantro dressing. This place reminded me of True Food Kitchen in Atlanta. Everything seemed thoughtful. From the menu to the vegan options and how eco friendly everything is. It's definitely a good look and a conscious establishment. I also tried the chipotle broth and that was yummy too. I've been making a few lifestyle changes so when I'm not cooking healthy this is a place I can go and get fresh, whole foods ! If you are not use to eating healthy and you eat a lot of processed foods you probably won't enjoy the flavors but I was loving everything.
