I had passed this location on the way and thought I'd check them out since I had never had it. I got the Italian sandwich, brownie, and a side of the pepper relish. Big mistake. This has got to be the most broke tasting sandwich I've maybe ever eaten. It's giving armor meat sandwich for Panera prices. The ham gave Bar S and the salami gave budding. Just gross. I couldn't stand more than three bites and that was because I was starving. I threw almost this whole sandwich away. The brownie was pretty good and kind of reminded me of Chick-fil-A. That pepper relish was really delicious and all of the veggies were super fresh, but limited. You can miss me with that meat though. The bread wasn't that great either. I don't understand why people would come here when Penn Station is right across the street. The customer service was fine and the inside of the restaurant was clean enough. Fifth location I've reviewed this year and the worst of the five. Con: there is no pickup rack for app orders. Either you have through the line or wait to be recognized. There was no lettuce or tomato in my bowl. I didn't specify any modifications. My receipt had no mention of "holding" those items. They simply got it wrong. One of my favorite sub shops in town. This one just went through a renovation and they have signage out that says grand reopening. So this one is in great shape, very clean and looks very updated. The staff was pretty good, not much conversation, but they generally had smiles and said thank you. They made my sandwich for me in front of me and were not cheap on the toppings. I love Jersey Mike's, and I was happy to find a location here when I was working in the area for the day. I ordered the grilled portobello mushroom and Swiss on wheat, adding tomatoes and onion. This is one of my favorite subs, and today it was perfection. The mushrooms were very flavorful, peppers and onions were nicely grilled, and the cheese was melted and delicious. I always add tomato slices to my sub because JM's tomatoes are always red, ripe, and full of flavor, year round. The bread was soft and fresh. My coworker, who had never been to a Jersey Mike's before was really impressed with his sandwich. He mentioned that the jalapeños were especially good. Cookies are fresh baked daily in-store. Always a good variety of chips to choose from to complete your meal. Jersey Mike's supports local and national charities, and I am happy to give them my business. Service was great, as always. I travel a lot for business and it is good to get a consistently good sub wherever I am in the country. Sure, there might be a bump here and there, but for the most part, I have had positive experiences at Jersey Mike's. On my visit to this particular location, I went for a cheesesteak, the Big Kahuna cheesesteak to be exact. With extra meat, extra cheese,peppers, onions, mushrooms and jalapeños, it is a great choice. I also had them add lettuce. I cannot say that Jersey Mike's is the best sub or cheesesteak that I ever had, but as far as national chains, I wouldsaythat it is my favorite. Subs made with freshly sliced meats and cheeses and topped with fresh veggies. It's no wonder that in my humble opinion, a sub sandwich is the king of all sandwiches. Jersey Mike's does an admirable job of presenting the country a New Jersey version of a sub. Being from New Jersey, I can attest that Jersey makes the best subs in the country. I love Jersey Mike's! I am from NY and it's the only place in the Midwest where you can get anything close to NY style subs. The meats are always fresh and sliced thin. They give you plenty of meat and as much toppings as you want. I used to get the Super Sub but now just get the ham and cheese with American cheese instead of provolone. They have fantastic shredded lettuce and I usually get a big bowl of it instead of on the sub so it stays fresh. Once in a while the lettuce will get a little browned but they'll gladly get a new tub from the back for me. My husband gets the Big Kahuna cheesesteak or the Super Sub and loves both of them. Their Shore Points system to earn free subs is very generous and they also have coupons regularly in the ValPak in the mail also online. The only complaint I have is they never answer their phone. I'd love to be able to get DoorDash but there's nowhere to select the type of cheese or request extra. If I could call to ask for American instead of provolone and the lettuce on the side, that would be awesome. Not sure why they don't answer the phone, but I really hope someone from the store reads this and changes that. Overall, I would highly recommend trying them out if you haven't already. I was shocked to see some low reviews because you just can't beat the taste and quality of their subs. I haven't had a Subway since eating at Jersey Mike's unless it is the only option. read more

I am guilty of eating the same sandwich from the same sandwich chain all.the.time. I should definitely add Jersey Mike's into the rotation more often. I love the oil & vinegar and spices, it just makes for a more savory sandwich than usual. The Parmesan Rosemary bread was a good choice too. I wasn't sure that I would like red wine vinegar but my mouth started watering as soon as I opened the wrapper. Apparently I do. I downloaded the app and ordered and paid online. When I arrived at the store, they have a station set up right by the door where you can pick up your order. Quick and easy. They have a promo right now which is why I ordered. Well, the staff was polite but they use Door Dash for delivery and my order is now an hour later than the estimated time. They don't take responsibility for Door Dash (which I understand), but they have no way of tracking my order. Door Dash doesn't take my call, and I called the delivery driver and it was a voicemail telling me to call Door Dash. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich online with a couple other sandwiches for my family. We went to pick them up a few minutes after they were supposed to be ready, but had to wait about 10 minutes still. No big deal, but they forgot one of the meals ordered. We then waited another 15 for that sandwich to get made. The sandwich was okay, but it was a mess. I don't know if this is how it always is, so I'll be back to try again, but the whole sandwich looked like the toppings were just thrown together. It looks nothing like pictures I've seen, so that was a bit disappointing. The actual sandwich tasted pretty good. The chicken was seasoned really well and the ranch was good. For the long extra wait, forgetting a few things in the order, and the lack of care in making the food, it just wasn't worth the price. Today for Lunch, I visited this location of Jersey Mike's Sub Shops. All I can say is "WOOOOOW!!!" I ordered the "Mikes Famous Philly Cheesesteak" Sandwich, with the Peppers removed (Regular Size). It was one of the best and delicious Sub Samdwiches I have ever eaten in my life. The Meat was grilled ever so tenderly. The melted Cheese made a very creamy and satisfying texture, with incredible flavor. The Grilled-Onions added a delicate sweetness that blended everything perfectly, along with the Sub-Roll being warm, light, and fluffy. This is the type of Sub that makes you feel like Soup. It will put a drunk-happy grin on your face, and make you feel like you've had a sleepy-time Tea. You feel calm, relaxed, in-awe, and happy about life. That's exactly what it did for me. The regular size of the Sub, in terms of portion, was perfect as well. It's very easy to keep eating and eating, due to the addicting deliciousness. However, this size, especially for lunch time, is filling and hits the spot without indulging too much. I am a huge fan of this restaurant. The Cashiers and Sandwich Artists were very kind and courteous as well. I always love to see Employees with a smile on their face. Surprisingly great subs in a strip mall! Solid value with fresh sliced meats on decent bread. Its probably 50% more expensive than subway and at least 100% better with real deli meat & good bread. The Turkey Club (#8) was freaking awesome and the Club (#9) is also solid. Prices are great at around $9 for a medium, which is just enough food and more satisfying to me than a Chipotle burrito. read more

I had a craving to get a Mikes's way sub the other weekend, so I made the drive from downtown to the south side of indy to satisfy that craving! I was not disappointed! First, the staff was welcoming when we walked in and helped answer my question regarding the grill subs. I had forgotten they had grill items. I ordered the buffalo chicken sub and it was so good. I highly suggest it! Second, the place was open to eating indoors but they had all the tables spaced for Covid and they were cleaning the tables as soon as people got up. Third, a man walked into the restaurant to place an order with what I am assuming was significant other. She had on a mask and he did not. One of the Jersey Mike employees asked the man if he had a mask and the man replied, no. That was it. He would not even look at the employee. This is when I am assuming was the manager stepped in and said they would give him a mask, and the man replied once again no. So the manager told him, you have to have on a mask in here and if you refuse we have to refuse your service and ask you to leave. I WAS SO SHOCKED (in a good way). I have been in several restaurants and shopping stores where they state "must wear a mask", but never enforce it. I was so proud that this establishment was honoring this statement and told the man to leave. Luckily the guy walked out while his girlfriend stayed and ordered their food without any issues. This is your average sub place. I didn't try any specialty subs - just a mini ($5-something) turkey. Their thing is "Mike's way" which includes red wine vinegar, olive oil, lettuce, onion, tomato. Pickles on the sub are an option, and you can also get a giant dill pickle for $1.89 (total rip-off for that). They really load up on the sauces and lettuce. You have options of hot or cold subs. I don't know if the sub choices on the "cold sub" menu can be made warm but I wish o had asked. My sub was okay but probably would have been better warm (which is why I love Penn Station Subs). Prices are okay. I liked getting a regular turkey sub for $5-something. In this day and age that is trickier. My friend got the largest sub possible and it was a speciality sub. I could not believe that cost him about $13! It was a huge sub but also that's the price for an entree at a good restaurant. Very interesting stuff. I like Penn Station Subs better but might come here again. I got a stomachache afterwards from all the oils so maybe I'll just ask for light oil. read more

The first two times I ordered their big kahuna Philly cheesesteak and they are absolutely delicious!! If you go here, get this. This time I decided to try something else: the pastrami reuben.....kinda disappointed. It wasn't very flavorful and didn't have much meat to it. I've become accustomed to an ample amount of meat on Mike's sandwiches, but this one...not so much. So I think I'll stick with my Philly cheese steaks sandwiches that I first fell in love with. Earlier this week, I ordered the #11, which is ham, salami and provolone cheese. The amount of meat on the sandwich looked paltry, so I asked how much meat is allotted for this sandwich. This is what I was told: Ham - 1.75 oz. Salami - .75 oz. In other words, they are charging over eight dollars for a sandwich that contains less than three ounces of meat. That is not even 1/5 of a pound. Of course, when you then load it with lettuce, tomato and onion, it looks more substantial. I will be writing a letter to the company telling them why I will NEVER patronize Jersey Mike's again (which is probably a waste of time), since the meat amounts are issued by the corporate office. read more

Came in tonight at 8:55, but the staff had half the sandwich bar put away and announced they were closed. They are open until 9:00, however, refused to serve us. My daughter had just finished a long day of volleyball and was still in uniform as we had to drive straight there to make it in time. Learned later two more girls off the team tried to call in an order at 8:45-8:50 and staff refused to take the orders saying they were closing. This franchise has been one of my favorite of the freshly made, hot sub shops, and this this location did a great job maintaining that reputation. I ordered the Big Kahuna with steak, giant sized, a bag of chips, and a large mt dew. This came to about $17 total, so it can be a bit expensive, but the giant sandwich could feed 2 normal people, I am just a huge guy that can eat a lot, haha. I think their giant sub is 14 inches long. Their mini sub is 5 inches, and the regular sub is 7 inches. The white bread was just baked and very soft and fresh and tasted great, the steak was freshly grilled with mushrooms, peppers, and extra cheese that melts into the other ingredients for a full flavor of cheese in each bit, not just on the top of the sub. The staff was very friendly and helpful and did a great job from greeting me as I walked in to saying 'come back again' as I was leaving. The store was clean and well organized. Parking in front was easy to get in and out of, and overall it was a very good dining experience. This store is fairly new and the same owner also has stores in Noblesville, Fishers, and 1 more place I just forgot, haha. I wish more of these Jersey Mike's would pop up around town, and my small town of Shelbyville, hint hint. For a kind of fast food type place, The service, food, price, quality, taste, quantity, and overall experience was excellent. I recommend and will return to this location and other Jersey Mike's. This place is extremely similar to Lenny's Subs... almost too similar. The staff was friendly, albeit it a little slow as they are all new. They were extremely particular about putting the toppings on the sandwich in an orderly fashion.. almost too particular as it took them a good 2+ minutes to top both of my sandwiches. The sandwiches were good, just what we were looking for. My only true complaint is that the cookies were subpar, nothing special and probably not worth the $1+ or whatever they charge for them. This place is always a diamond in the rough. Little hard to get to, little unknown, but the Food is always amazing. It is so much better and fresher than the larger chains. Blows subway away!! The employees are always in a good mood and eager to help. I love the subs at Jersey Mikes, but the middle aged woman at the store today was so incredibly rude to me as I placed my order. I'm vegan (can't eat meat/dairy), so I asked for a veggie sub (just a sub with grilled peppers and onions and other veggies). She asked what number that was, and I said it's closest to number 14, the veggie sub, but without the cheese or dressing. She literally said 'That makes no sense. The whole sandwich is just cheese and peppers.' So I said yes, that's exactly what I want without the cheese and dressing. She still didn't get it. I asked if she wanted me to explain what I wanted again, but she just turned away from me and started telling the other guys standing next to her that my order made no sense. It's just great! Yes it is a chain, but the sandwiches are made to order with fresh cut meat and cheese. The veggies are very fresh and they are generous with their portions. Bread is always fresh and soft as well. I have been a fan of this place for years. Why there are not more locations locally is beyond me. There are disgusting Subway's on virtually every corner.
