Mama Birds was a nice little coffee option in old Plainfield; this location is connected to the Barlow apartments and was a tad hard to find at first due to Apple Maps. The workers were all so very kind and it was a simple yet pretty interior design. The coffee menu was rather simple and only 2 syrups for the season coffee (pumpkin spice + honey cinnamon) but they had quite a wonderful variety of pastries available! They have 12oz/16oz coffees available for a cheaper pricing that I am used to- just wish it had a tad more flavoring. I will definitely be returning for the pastries!

Everything about Mama Bird Bakery is lovely. I loved how clean the space was. The decor is simple, but warm. The employee at the counter was so friendly and told us about her favorite pastries and the most popular items. Unfortunately my son and I went later in the afternoon so the selection was a bit picked through, but what we tried was delicious. The chocolate chip cookie and poptarts were amazing! The coffee and tea are very reasonably priced. On a warmer day I would love to come back and sit on the patio.

Wow. I seldom double review a place but Mama Bird's pastries deserves my first double 5-star review. These are the best cookies I've ever had (legitimately). The frosted sugar cookie was baked perfectly and the buttercream frosting was perfect to the point where we joked about asking for a tub of it alone. Both times I've been the service has been super friendly and helpful. The shop is impeccably clean and well designed. I'm shocked they don't have a line out the door for their baked goods! The next event I'm attending in Indy I will be coming with a plate full of goods from Mama Bird.

Delicious small Plainfield bakery! This quaint location features homemade goods, coffees, and non caffeinated beverages. It has a nice outdoor sitting area and street/lot parking. It is located under the apartment building, but doesn't have a large sign, so could be easy to miss. Love that their lattes all come in the same size for a reasonable $5 price. Syrups are all made in house...I haven't had a bad flavor yet! Pastry selection rotates but I especially enjoy the fruit danishes. The kitchen is windowed in, so you can watch the delicious goods being made. On the same hand, the windows create a glare so very frequently the employees don't notice people come in so you have to give a polite "excuse me" when you aren't seen!

    Beautiful pastries.

Had a great first time experience at Mama Bird Bakery. Lovely pastries and the coffee was so awesome. The sweet girl at the counter was lovely too. I look forward to going back soon.

This place has the best parties. Their strawberry pop tarts are perfection. The staff is always helpful and welcoming.

I happened to be in the area on a Friday morning so I stopped in to try a few baked goods and a latte. They currently have two seasonal lattes: brown sugar and honey citrus. I went with the honey citrus and it was great. It wasn't very sweet but had a little sweetness from the honey and just a hint of orange citrus. The syrups were house made, which I appreciate. The cinnamon roll was incredible! The icing tasted light and seemed like it was whipped? One of the best I've had in a while. I also tried a lavender macaroon and it was light and soft. They had a few savory hand pies that looked great and all of the cookies looked delicious as well. I love the slogan that they stand by "everyone is welcome at our table." This is a true gem in the heart of Plainfield!

I'm rooting for you Mama Bird! What a fantastic new space for Plainfield. The environment looks straight out of a Magnolia magazine. Beautiful cases full of fresh baked goods. All of the baked goods seemed very reasonably priced as well. From homemade poptarts, cinnamon rolls, and macarons, you will find something to enjoy. For their coffee, they use Tinker. This will be the highest quality coffee you can get in Plainfield. They even make their own syrups for lattes. There were plenty of seating options for you to work here for a bit or meet a friend for a lovely chat. I am looking forward to trying the menu of options over time. I encourage you to come check this place out!

Our first trip to Mama Bird Bakery did not disappoint! Had to figure out parking but it wasn't anything terrible. We parked on the street but came back the next day and parked in the lot behind it. The food is so good! Get. A. Poptart. They open early and close early and I noticed the longer you wait, the less they have, so get there early. We've tried cupcakes, muffins, pop tarts and cookies and we all agree, they're delicious. I got a vanilla latte and while it was lacking in the vanilla department, it was still good. Both ladies I spoke to on our visits were kind and cheerful and the inside is decorated very nicely. It is relaxing and clean, as well as a good amount of seating. We will be back in the summer and try to sit outside!

Welcome sign greeting everyone upon arrival - love it!

I had heard great things about this bakery and had seen them at the Danville Farmers Market, so I had high hopes when we arrived at Mama Bird Bakery in Plainfield. Our experience EXCEEDED expectations! We walked in about ten minutes before closing time, but you'd never know it when interacting with staff. The owner took the time to chat with us while creating the most delicious lattes. We learned more about the inspiring story of Mama Bird Bakery and met more staff. The drinks were above average and our only regret was not being hungry enough to try out any of the sweet and savory baked treats. The spacious seating area is inviting with large windows overlooking Plainfield's downtown, which is going through an exciting revitalization. I could imagine hanging out for a quiet work session or meeting a small group of friends here for coffee and a light breakfast. We definitely plan to visit again soon!

Fun new friendly cafe and bakery. Wide variety of Baked goods that were so yummy and our coffee was super fresh. Lots of open space in a brand new building

This says makes sense considering how friendly the staff are anytime I go!

Mama Birds is a great little local coffee shop in Plainfields newish downtown condo building off 40. I love the people who work there, they are all so friendly. I was also impressed and happy to learn they employ people with disabilities. You can feel the pride in their work in how well it all tastes, how clean and well maintained the restaurant is, and just the overall friendly atmosphere. It puts you in a good mood just to be there. Their chai tea and homemade cinnamon roll were both very good! I also ordered a breakfast bacon, egg and hash brown pastry to go and it was delicious. The prices were also a breath of fresh air in this inflated economy. They have seating inside or outdoor seating if you really want fresh air. It's just what you're looking for when looking for something different that your typical chain coffee shops. They were fast, good, and a local small business we can feel really good about supporting!

The service was absolutely impeccable: attentive without hovering, warm without pretense, and delivered with the sort of genuine hospitality that makes you feel less like a customer and more like an honored guest at an impossibly chic gathering. And then came the drinks. The pistachio latte was a masterpiece of balance and indulgence -- velvety, nutty, and luxuriously smooth, as though a pistachio grove had somehow been distilled into liquid silk. Each sip unfolded like a sonnet. The wildflower latte, meanwhile, was pure poetry in a cup. Delicately floral without being overpowering, it carried an almost ethereal sweetness, like spring itself had been persuaded to dissolve into espresso. It was whimsical, elegant, and astonishingly memorable. The Green Room Cafe has achieved what so many coffee shops aspire to but few truly accomplish: creating not just beverages, but an experience -- one steeped in artistry, comfort, and just the right amount of enchantment. A triumph. Five stars scarcely feels sufficient. Oh, and parking was mindlessly easy, the owner was present, the bathrooms impeccable, nursing mother's room near restrooms and high ceilings to dissipate the hum.

I HAD to try the Beach Day Latte. The latte was made perfectly. The icing on the cake was the house made coconut cold foam! Ohmygoodness- it was delicious. The breakfast sandwich was standard. I will say they did cook my egg to my liking. The bacon was good but still had grease on the two pieces. Our order taker was friendly and extremely helpful with the explaining the menu. I will definitely go back further the lattes!

I've been a loyal customer since the days of the physical member card, and even now that everything is digital, I still enjoy coming here. While I was there, the barista Marcus (I believe that was his name) was friendly and pleasant throughout my visit. I noticed some coupons displayed in the window and asked if I could have the coupon sheet to use on my return trip. This is not uncommon because they give these to customers to use. He was about to give them to me when another barista stopped him and said that the ones he was handing me were their last sheet. I was a bit confused, since the coupons were clearly displayed in the drive-thru window, and I wondered if more could simply be printed. When I asked, I was told they hadn't received additional sheets yet, so they couldn't give out the last ones. Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any effort to offer an alternative or accommodate the request, which was disappointing. I ended up leaving feeling a bit uncomfortable despite the great service from Marcus. The lady wasn't very kind with her approach but denying me coupons to SUPPORT a local business wasn't on my bingo card for my birthday. Anyway, I enjoyed my coffee, the initial service and supporting a locally owned business.

Arrived and noted that there were not many donuts in the display, but we were told they would make them for you. Okay, great. No worries. We ordered two donuts, the breakfast tacos, and a breakfast sandwich. We got milk and a regular coffee. The breakfast items came out fairly quickly, but no donuts or coffee. Kind of waited for a little and then finally had to ask, nothing was being made. Able to get my coffee and the donuts finally arrived. They were not the normal quality at all. I am not sure what they are doing. PROS: A donut place between Avon and Danville, so great for the community Parking is not an issue, but not many ways in the lot CONS: Place was not clean, tables were dirty Process to order and get items was in disarray. (they were training a new employee on the register, no issues with that at all, she was doing what she could and was being trained, they were doing a great job with that. She was not made to hurry and was learning, so all good) Items received were not the quality expected as they are making the as you order, rather than having items available so poorly made. Meaning, when they finally realized we had no donuts, they asked what we ordered and made them. The donut with chocolate icing with sprinkles was just chocolate thrown on it, melting everywhere and it was not appetizing at all. I hate to leave a bad review or a low review, but we are not planning on coming back to this facility. I will definitely try the other options.

The concept is that their smoothies have protein and can a meal replacement. I am sure that if you don't have any issues with soy these are probably very tasty. However, they didn't have any alternatives for those who can't have soy which I found unfortunate. I decided to try an energy drink which has the base of black tea with additives. Mine was a lavender pomegranate which sounded nice and had a fun purpose color but with one sip I realized the lavender and pomegranate were a dried mix they had added to the tea. If you don't do fresh juices then it might not be very noticeable, but unfortunately as someone with lots of allergies I couldn't drink any more for fear of a reaction. Several customers said they come daily and love the drinks, and for sure it is better for you than some other options for energy.
