Sometimes you just need a good donut to warm up a bitter cold day! I did an order of TooGoodToGo for pickup today. Best way to start your morning is knowing you have an order of sweets to pick up. Forgot to take a pic of what I received. Variety of donuts and one chocolate croissant. They were a hit! I should've warmed mine up for a few seconds but it was still soft either way. Walked in about 7:20 and I assume the workers have to be there early to set up, but a smile or a good morning really does go a long way in customer service. It was quiet and a customer was leaving as I walked in. It seemed calm and inviting but felt like I was bothering the worker by walking in. Either way the donuts were good and they have a variety of more options on their menu that I would love to try sometime in the future. read more

Delicious food, fast service. Their drip coffee is delicious, smooth and not highly acidic. Their donuts are sweet, but not too sweet, we love the sprinkles! The power bowl had just the right amount of salty and savory that I wanted this morning. You can never go wrong with a bacon, egg and cheese croissant! Plus I must have been here on an off day, because contrary to the other reviews her, the service I received was anything but friendly. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the Blueberry Matcha Latte, it was extremely watery. Faint matcha taste and the blueberry pieces were a bit annoying while imparting no flavor. Great place to walk to on a Sunday morning! It's right off the Monon at 54th Street, with plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of products to purchase inside as well! Service was fast and friendly! We ordered the Broad Ripple breakfast sandwich and the breakfast burrito. The burrito was really good but the dill sauce that comes with it was so good! I should have ordered an extra! I also got an affogato and a blueberry matcha. My husband got the coconut latte and all the drinks were tasty. Cute place with good drinks/food! read more

This place is so nice in the inside. They have some delicious pastries, cakes and drinks. I had bought something on TooGoodToGo which is what prompted me to go here to this bakery. I was excited to try something new. While picking up my order I had got a drink which was really good. The price of the drink was reasonable. The red velvet cake was delicious it was made just right. Customer service was great. The cashier answered any questions I had. If you are ever in the Broad Ripple area make sure to stop here to try this place out. You will not be disappointed. read more

I think the iced dirty Chai here is my favorite in the city. It has a great flavor and is not too sweet. It is the perfect way to cool down in the heat or anytime. This place is a cute little stop right off the Monon, and is a very average place to grab a coffee and a treat in the morning. Not too expensive if you get a small coffee and a pastry, we got 2 iced lattes, a doughnut, and a croissant, and all of it was pretty average. Nothing amazing, but got the job done. Service at the counter was fine as well. We got here shortly after opening time on Sunday morning, and we can tell it's a cute spot, just not our cup of coffee if you get what I mean. I'd long wanted to check out BreadWorks at Broad Ripple, though with their exclusively daytime hours it has limited my options to either weekends or holidays or a random day off. Sadly, I'd just never made it until I finally decided to visit on this July 4th weekend. Taking over the spot vacated by the beloved Locally Owned Gardens, BreadWorks offers: 1) Coffee roasted by Chicago-based Sparrow Coffee (including a variety of coffee and tea options. 2) A variety of drink options from Coke products to Simplicity Juices (which is a neighbor here in basically what qualifies as SoBro). 3) A variety of donuts all reasonably priced (nearly all are $1.50 with Long Johns being the most expensive at $2). 4) Pastries 5) Breads 6) and a variety of sandwiches that are all available from open to close. I would say the in-store menu was a bit more extensive than the online menu. For example, the in-store menu included some limited alcohol options (as I recall, it was wine). BreadWorks is very inspired by the Parisian bakeries and is decorated with a similar simplicity and style. There's nothing particularly "fancy" here, but it's comfortable with mostly neutral tones. In terms of accessibility, BreadWorks has two accessible parking spots on the westside of their building. They also have an outdoor dining area that is rather large and has a nice accessible ramp to it, though it does have a bit of a lip and the sidewalk right at the entrance is a bit broken. I actually had to set my drink down, get on the ramp, then pick up my drink and make my way up to their deck. The indoor area is somewhat congested (seems to nearly always be true in Broad Ripple/SoBro). However, I was able to make my way around and get wherever I needed. Also, people in this area are just super friendly and the employees were friendly. For $7.03, I had two chocolate glazed yeast donuts (red/white/blue sprinkles given the holiday) and a 24-ounce iced coffee. All were enjoyable. I was especially fond of the coffee. BreadWorks is located right off the Monon Trail. I noticed a good number of people were detouring on/off the trail and visiting. Dogs are welcome on the deck. I really liked this visit quite a bit. The atmosphere was winning, the employees were friendly, the donuts were good (not great), the iced coffee was pretty awesome, and there was a sense of "village" here I enjoyed. I'm not quite ready to call this a 5-star experience, however, there's no question it was a solid 4-star one and there's no doubt I'll be returning as this is only a few minutes from my home. read more

This is the cutest place tucked away - save the traffic and hassle of parking in downtown broad ripple for your breakfast needs and instead hit this spot up! Amazing coffee, delicious breakfast and lunch options, killer donuts. The staff was super patient as I couldn't decide what to get - they made great recommendations! Perfect meetup for locals, ample parking, plenty indoor seating with floor to ceiling windows for that indoor/outdoor feeling. My first new-business visit of the year and I loved it! First of all, I recommend visiting on a sunny day. The sun pours through the big windows and makes the space feel so airy and light. Secondly, the women at the counter were friendly and the manager was super impressive. He was working hard and sincerely thanking customers for stopping in. They had bags of coffee beans, packaged slices of homemade lemon poppy seed and chocolate pound cakes, packaged cake jars, and loaves of fresh bread arranged on shelves when you walk in. They also have a glass case of baked goods and sandwiches, as well as a back wall full of bakery items such as donuts and apple fritters. They had a pretty big menu of hot breakfast and lunch items too. I ordered the breakfast burrito and asked if I could have it without cheese and they said it was no problem - awesome! That means they make it from scratch too which I love. The burrito was soooooo good and filling. I loved the thick chunks of potato and subtle spice from the chorizo. Yum. I also got a Simplicity Juice with my meal and love that they carry another local vendor. There were several people working at the cafe tables inside and I'll definitely be back to do the same. If you are looking for some fresh coffee and pastries, this should be your go to place! A cute little restaurant with some seating on the inside for cold days. It is a little congested inside, however, the drinks and food make up for it! I enjoy the dirty chai latte and any of the scones! The donuts are also good and reasonably priced. This was a good location in SoBro near the Monon. They also have a patio area. I kept raving about the breakfast sandwich. The mix of cheese, avocado, and Mayo with the homemade croissant, egg, and bacon was soo good. I also got a carmel iced latte and it was very good. Their coffee is from Sparrow Coffee in Chicago and they have grounds for sale as well. The decor was cute with the rolling pins hanging from the ceiling. They also had a lot of natural light coming in the cafe which kept it a nice and bright first experience. I'd like to try more of their baked goods so I will be back. From what I could tell it was dog friendly too. read more

Love a spot like this in walking distance from my house!! Got an assortment of doughnuts and muffins, a loaf of sourdough bread, a large coffee and a sprite. All for just under $30 so very reasonable compared to other coffee shops! Carmel apple donut was my fav. Loved the variety and all the breakfast/lunch options sounded great too. There's lots of local places that do the bread/ cafe really well, and breadworks misses the mark. Menu is unfocused and individual items suffer. Bagel is very fluffy and less chewy. Yeasted donuts too firm and missing the melt in your mouth feel. Coffee is okay.. Staff stand-offish and not very friendly. Won't revisit as there are nearby places that do it better. read more

Stopped by on their opening day! Glad another business took over this spot so quickly. They added a huge outdoor patio with plenty of seating! They're still working on their kitchen so while we came in for lunch sandwiches it seems like it will be a few weeks before they're ready for that. I ended up just getting their Cinnamon Praline Latte- it was delicious! Make sure you mix it up before you take your first sip- otherwise it will be straight coffee. Look forward to coming back once they have hot breakfast sandwiches and lunch options! The donuts looks great...but with my wedding coming up trying to stay on the healthier side. Finally had a chance to pop by Breadworks. This building holds an extra special place in my heart. I met my now husband for the first time in Locally Grown Gardens over our shared love of Ron's sugar cream pie (which later became the spot for our wedding engagement photos and wedding pie). The design and feel is quite different now. Breadworks features bright white walls and a large patio for outdoor dining. Coffee drinks and baked goods are ordered at the main counter. I enjoyed a drip coffee this round and look forward to donuts in my future (I've had them from Breadworks original location in Greencastle). I also noticed some folks ordering salads that looked especially tasty. The service was friendly and down to business. As sad as I am that Locally Grown is no longer here, I'm glad the space is alive and well. You can't beat the location along the Monon Trail. read more

I have always kind of disliked this place but frequented due to their proximity to Canterbury Park. Every donut besides the croissovers are not good- my kids will eat them but I would never. Today was my last straw for the place- they charge extra for extra ice in an iced latte. If you have extra ice, you use less milk and therefore the drink should be CHEAPER to make. I have never had an upcharge like that in all my years of ordering extra ice. I will never go to this place again. read more

I came back for the overpriced breakfast burrito and not sure what it was this time but it didn't taste as good as previously. Which is a shame as it's over $12. For that price it should be consistent. When I walked in the menu boards weren't yet turned on so I'm not sure if the ingredients changed inside but the "chorizo" this time looked and tasted like regular sausage. Flavor was lacking. You order at the counter, have a seat and your food is brought to your table. Hands down the lumpia is a must order! I tried the chicken and it was so good- but they have a veggie and beef version that I can't wait to try. I ordered a special which was ham and cheese. The sandwich was great and it came with a fried egg in top. This made it basically impossible to pick up but the basket it was served in also made it impossible to cut easily. Flavors were good but very messy. My husband tried the mushroom sandwich that had trillium on it and this was the star. I would absolutely go back and order that!! I have been wanting to try BreadWorks but every time I've been on the Monon they were closed. Today I happened to be out when they were open. I know the name has bread in it but I kinda expected more pastry items. The menu board listed donuts but I didn't see any. I saw a pound cake or two and a couple things in a case. They have coffee and tea and some simple sandwiches as far as I could tell. I ended up getting a loaf of bread since I still had a mile walk back to my car. I ate one slice when I got home. The bread was OK , I can and have made better. This was just the plain bread may have been sourdough or just white. Really couldn't tell by the flavor. I like the industrial design with clean lines that they have chosen. I was just needed a quick spot to wait for a friend to be home and this was perfect! So it feels a bit cheap to review a place called BreadWorks while currently being keto. But alas here we are. Great location right on the Monon while also having a parking area. Cool building and interior. Around 20 tables. Big outdoor seating area as well which would be nice if it wasn't 30 degrees out! They have muffins, pound cake, and bread out right when you walk in. Also some other assorted pastries. Cannot wait to come back when I can fully partake. There are samples out of their 3 different pound cakes (I'd be lying if I said I didn't try the poppyseed pound cake...it was great). There are also several bagged coffees for sale as well. I got a hot vanilla oat milk latte with sugar free vanilla syrup. It's phenomenal! They have a lot of drink and food options. They have a side bar with ice water, sweet/unsweetened tea, and iced coffee! Never seen a big thing of iced coffee out like this before. I'm going 4.9/5 for this spot! I do prefer when a coffee shop uses mugs instead of single use cups for in store patrons but I get it. read more

This place is a great spot! I was able to stop in and schedule a meeting and get some work done. Lots of space and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I am a huge donut person and the apple turnover donut was really good! The iced coffee was really affordable and a great caffeine boost. The pork sausage sandwich I got was good, seemed like it was maybe reheated or microwaved but still filled me up. This is a great community spot to visit, they even had free Hi-Fi tickets available at the counter. Glad I checked this place out! read more

My Instagram post says "easily my fav coffee shop" and I mean it. First off the location is fantastic. They are right off the Monon and they have their own parking lot with plenty of FREE parking. Yep they had me at free parking! They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a dog water bowl right outside the door for our furry friends. When you walk inside it is bright, airy, yet warm and welcoming. As you walk to the cash register it just feels like they want you there. This could be because they have been open a very short time but the smiles I received was priceless. While the name is Breadworks I was so surprised that they had a pretty full menu of breakfast and lunch items. They have about 10 various donuts you can choose from, breakfast burritos, avocado toast and more. They also have every kind of coffee options with a nice variety of syrups including sugar free options. The pricing is decadent. For my Dirty Latte and donut was $9.36. They were playing easy listening music, I heard Earth Wind and Fire and Billy Joel. It wasn't loud which I appreciate but if you were paying attention you could hear it. Plenty if indoor seating many tables of both 2 and 4. Several tables by the window which gives you a fantastic view of the Monon Trail. As you can tell, I'm a fan! read more

We live close so we decided to walk the monon and try this place for the first time. We ordered at the counter and service was friendly and fast. The avocado toast was one of my favorites I've had in the city. The roasted chickpeas were delicious. My partner ordered the Maple Sausage Biscuit and enjoyed it a lot. It was a good size sandwich and we were stuffed afterwards. The lattes we had were also really great and I'm already craving another. We will be back soon! read more

I was just thinking how Indy doesn't have many good combined donut + coffee shops and this satisfies the need that the community has. :) Located near Good Morning Mama and Mama Corolla, Breadworks Broadripple is the perfect addition to the buzzing area. You could feel the energy on Sunday morning. I had a chocolate frosted yeast donut, a bacon egg and cheese pocket, and a coffee and it was all wonderful. I was worried that they were going to sell out of donuts before I could order because the line was so long but they were very prepared and kept bringing them out!
