Parking…read morewas crazy due to the event and we had to park over by CVS and walk over in the rain, which sucked, but it was fun once we were inside. The back area with most of the booths had too many people in it at all times, which stressed us out. I felt like couldn't really look at everything and often had to wait awkwardly to the side until other people finally moved out of the way. I ended up getting a new permanent bracelet after one of mine broke a couple weeks ago. I hadn't looked at the vendor lineup before coming, but had hoped there would be a permanent jewelry booth there and was very happy to see Golden Era. The owner was so nice and told me that Milk & Honey often lets her come by for events, so that's nice to know when going back to get coffee again. We also got a couple of gorgeous floral shortbread cookies from a vendor and had them as a nice little treat the next day. Despite how busy/packed it was, it was still very fun to have the event to browse while sipping on a coffee. I also loved the booth diversity- a fresh flower booth to make bouquets, cookies, permanent jewelry, antiques, vintage jewelry, a few clothing booths, custom press on nails, candles, a mini bookstore outside, and a pet bandana shop outside as well. For coffee, I ordered The Eddie (sea salt caramel macchiato) and my husband ordered The Milk & Homey (cinnamon + honey). The Eddie was definitely sweeter than The Milk & Honey, but both were very tasty! They had a super cute "whimsy bar" set up at the pickup side of the counter to bedazzle your coffee. This was my first time there, so I'm not sure if this was just for the event or not. We also each ordered a turkey caprese sandwich with a side of kettle chips, but they were a little disappointing. They were supposed to be on sourdough, but came out on white bread instead that kept sticking to our teeth and made the sandwich mush together when biting into it. Would love to come back and try a different sandwich or maybe a baked good next time instead.

This place reminds me of a more chemically responsible version of one of my favorite bars back home in Philly, Tattooed Mom's. Same vibe, just serving uppers during the day instead of depressants in the evening and nighttime. Anyway, the service is great, as is the coffee. What more can you want? Okay, fine, "drink-on-premise" mugs would be nice. But I'm not too cool for a standard paper coffee cup. And honestly, it's the vibe.

A little heavy for my liking but something tells me they use more authentic sweetener's than what's in Dunkin. That is just a hunch though. Great local coffee spot.

The half biscuit portion was generous. This is not your grandma's biscuits and gravy! I will say this was the best biscuits and gravy that I ever tasted. My husband had a chocolate muffin that was beautiful and huge. Melty chocolate chips sat on top. He was in chocolate heaven. The dining area is upscale, quiet and suitable for working or reading a book. A little fireplace adds ambiance. Outside, a beautiful perennial garden is in bloom. We found free public parking nearby. I didn't care for the taste, and I'm not sure if I made a bad selection or if the taste was off. The foam on top was an odd consistency and the bottom of the drink was gritty with coffee grinds. The concept is interesting, as they have a play area for kids with several tables nearby. Then they have a room with sliding doors to the side that is a quiet space. The space was wide open and nicely done, however it is so loud and all you can hear are the kids using the play space. The service wasn't particularly welcoming and I thought the pricing was high for the area. My medium drink was over $8. I can appreciate what they are trying to do, but I don't see myself returning.

Claire gave me the pastry lowdown and shared her personal favorites, but the real showstopper? Soy milk! Yes, actual soy milk; take that, oat and almond!
